Aqua Allegoria Forte Rosa Rossa

ROSE UNEXPECTED...FINALLY. Thanks to the wizardry of perfumer Delphine Jelk. Beautiful rose-soda opens to a tropical, fresh, sparkling rose overlaying a woody Middle Eastern leaning rose. If you start with a sparkling tropical aquatic scent on one wrist, such as Aqua Allegoria Passiflora or Pera Granita, and on the other wrist you put a powdery, woody, spicy rose scent like Versace Woman 2000, or Rose 31 Le Labo, you would be in the ballpark. I tested this today in the store, on skin and on a card, and I don't really get a Delina Parfums de Marly vibe like I was expecting from this, despite the rose-litchi combo (litchi used to be listed in the notes pyramid). This is well-blended, beautiful & refreshingly different but with familiar elements. But it helps if you aren't new to rose-oud scents or iso-E-super. Well above average performance (it's 9 hours later and still going strong on the wrist & paper card, but some may be noseblind). New bottles require a few weeks in dark storage after first sprays to develop performance and elaborate the full scent profile. Seekers & collectors of rose scents won't be disappointed. Finally a zinger that can sail to the top of the wishlist. I'm quite taken with this - it's a love for me. Enjoy! Update 07/28/24: Sprayed this on after a shower this morning. Luscious, fruity rose with woody patchouli base. This time, as it's drying down there's a jammy stage that's a lighter - more of a lighter strawberry jam that keeps the rose underneath, rather than the usual darker berry jams I get with a jammy rose. Each time I wear this I love it more. 10/10.

Rose Rossa Forte is really beautiful, and I think my search for the perfect spring/summer true rose perfume is finally over. As much as I like the original Rose Rossa I think I love this one a lot more. What a gem this is. Beautiful fully fresh roses over juicy summer peaches. It is like being outside eating peaches or peach cobbler in a rose garden. The rose garden has all varieties of roses and in all stages of blooming. There are roses w/ soft spicy notes, the peach cobbler has the lightest touch of almond extract. There is a slightly boozy quality here as well. Like the smell of a rose and peach cognac that was newly made. Rose Rossa Forte will make you smell edible but not in a completely gourmand way. Guerlain perfumes are always classy and pull back just enough. They are never literal unlike many niche gourmands on the market today. This is classy, refined while still being absolutely scrumptious. Full bottle worthy.

This scent will be my new go to scent together with the original Rosa Rossa. My boyfriend bought the original by accident instead of Pera Granita, but wasn’t sure if he could send it back. So we went to the store and tried it out. While we were doing that, we got to try RR Forte and we immediately loved it. He even said he loved it more than the one he bought. So I kept the one I got and purchased myself a big bottle of the Rosa Rossa Forte! It is an amazing fresh rose scent that changes in a classy, slightly sweet and soft skin scent as the day goes by. Definitely a crowdpleaser for young and older. I’ll switch between this one for the evening and Rosa Rossa for the day this spring and summer! Great for those who love roses and juicy scents! (Also totally agree with the comparison by Ashbud)

I don’t understand the negativity about projection and longevity, on me it is performing very well!... A very classy rose smell that would be fitting as a signature because you can wear it all year round, but can for sure be a bit too much on extremely hot summet days! I still have to get a bit used to it I guess, as it is fruity, tangy, rosy and herby all at once... Because it is a natural perfume (90 to 95 per cent of the fragrance collection is entirely from natural ingredients) the smell stays the same - so it doesn’t develop much - and is very pleasant as you don’t feel there would be anything artificial about it! I think that is a big plus, as I sometimes can’t anticipate how fragrances develop and secondly I tend to get nauseous from artificial fragrances.

A very pretty, summery rose fragrance that has that same tart peppery rose that I fell in love with in Dior Rose Gipsy and Jimmy Choo edt., both of which I already have. It is a little closer to the Jimmy Choo because of the fruit notes, but as in that fragrance, they are not very pronounced here. As this wears on it becomes more delicate, but still has presence. It smells great right now and I think might smell even prettier in warmer weather. If I didn't already have similar perfumes, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a bottle not only because I love the rose and pink pepper notes, but because the performance, especially for something in this line, is surprisingly good.

I have a few Aqua Allegoria bottles, and love their easy wearability in spring and summer. I bought Forte recently on a trip, after testing a sample a few times. This is my kind of rose - fruity, jammy, pretty. The initial peach note is truly peach-like, as if you have just bitten into a fresh fuzzy peach with a bit of juice running down your chin. This lasts a while, longer than an AA normally does. Bottle is beautiful with a nice diffusive spray, and I am glad Guerlain has not messed with the bottle presentation.

I love Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Forte Rosa Rossa! It is a more refreshing rose — with hints of almonds and pink pepper. At first whiff on my skin I got some pink rose-pink pepper vibes. Then on dry down, it’s more of a almondy-musky rose vibe with a hint of cassis and some patchouli. I totally recommend this if you all want a more intense rose fragrance.

It was the first fragrance my husband gave me, and it’s a love that will last forever. It lingers for a long time on every surface - my skin, clothes, even paper. It’s so pleasant and never becomes tiring. I’ve been wearing it for about three years now, and I can confidently say that as long as it’s available, I will always keep buying it.

This is one of those perfumes that creates an immediate impression. Normally this would not be a scent I like at all but this is done so well. The roses absolutely shine and the black currant supports the roses perfectly.

Super feminine, cute peachy roses. That's the best description of it - peachy roses. Ideal for every day but I wish it was stronger. My friends who are always beside me during the day said they couldn't smell anything.

This gorgeous rose is a joy to wear. It was a blind buy that I knew I would love. It is even more luscious than I thought it would be. The pink pepper seems to ignite the rose. This will be my summertime favorite.

This is very pleasant but sillage and longevity are terrible on me. I need to wear this with other rose fragrances to give it a bit of staying power. A shame for the price, I expected better.

Love this perfume. It smells a little like Diptyque Eau rose eau de parfum. The rose is amazing. But does not smell it on me after 1 hr.

Better, more complex version of Dior Rose N'Roses. Really cool and fresh rose. Good longevity and silage.

Initial spray, peach. Dries down to a juicy, fruity, rose.

Despite the name, AA Rosa Rossa Forte is a pink rose. Sweet and fruity, it is a light rose scent. I suspect that the original is much fresher, but I have never smelled it. Here, the rose note is initially rosewater-like, but it becomes sweeter, even slightly floriental, as it develops. I love rose, but while pleasant, this isn't the type of rose scent I typically favour, being aquatically sweet. Still, it is nicely-composed and lovely throughout. AARRF opens with light, fresh rose, bolstered by sweetly aquatic fruity notes. Tart, green cassis follows, adding some freshness, but it remains pretty sweet. The rose becomes jammier as it develops, still lightweight, but sweet, complemented by pink pepper at the heart. Patchouli follows, adding earthiness as it dries down, with the rose becoming increasingly powdery as it fades. A sweet amber-vanilla base accord emerges here, and it fades to a sweet musky skin scent. Sillage and longevity are moderate. A feminine summertime scent, more sweet than fresh, this rose floriental is pleasant and pretty, but nothing unusual. 3/5.

Very delicious, delicate, feminine, ethereal scent. It's a shame it lasts only for 2 hours. I overspray like crazy, I even spray on my clothes and hair, and it disappears so quickly, on my hair it lasts for about 5-6 hours but very close to it, not projecting. This type of perfume, that lasts like a body mist, should be reasonably priced. I got this bottle by swapping perfumes with a perfume lover in my community, what I swapped was worth $70, and the Rosa Rossa Forte had about 100 ml left, so I won't repurchase unless I find a 125 ml bottle at $85 or less. Otherwise, it's just not a good deal. Imagining this perfume had better longevity and projection, it would be an absolute love. But because of performance, is a 4 out of 5. I find it similar to La Colle Noir from Dior (which lasts just as poorly...). Very natural smelling and flirty romantic. I love the scent profile fruity floral in a rose-peach combo, LOVE IT.

The moment the sales associate sprayed Forte Rosa Rossa, my heart skipped a beat: I was greeted by a slightly sweet and fruity rose, which is how I love my rose scents. The combination of rose and cassis / blackcurrant usually smells heavenly to me. On skin, the fragrance lost some of its sweetness after around 30 minutes. At this point, rose, cassis and sandalwood dominated until around one hour into the drydown when the familiar soft muskiness of the Aqua Allegoria line started to appear. Now that the fragrance has fully dried down, it is indeed a little bit stronger than the original Rosa Rossa, but the muskiness took some of the initial magic and turned it into an average soft musky rose with an underlying sandalwoodiness. I see that many compare it to the Delina fragrances. Personally, I perceive the Delina line to be much stronger, muskier and fresher.

I have no idea where people smell patchouli or almonds. To me this is lovely, powdery, rose, without much else. Simple, pleasant, not interesting at all, but very comforting for a person who adores roses. The silage is poor, and the lasting power isn't stellar either. Forte? Really ? In what way? It seems much less fruity than the original version. For how much it costs, I was expecting more - of course aI bought it blindly. I mixed it with Cologne the Missiones, and I got the most wonderful rose vanilla concoction. It's better now, even though the pretty pink colour of the juice turned to cognac. Still, I was hoping for more silage and it's lacking. I also have the Mandarine Basilic Forte and that one is way stronger than this. Both are legit, purchased from Shoppers.

I recently received this as a gift and I have to say I'm delighted. My family, who picked this out for me, got it just right. Rose is my favorite floral note. This fragrance is a rose scent through and through. I barely smell the peach (a very fleeting top note), which is great because that's not my favorite. I do smell the cassis as a green note. Then just rose, rose, rose. I don't usually like patchouli, and it's there, but it's so well blended it adds to the scent. I think it was absolutely necessary! I will wear this 3 seasons of the year. Probably not on the warmest days of summer, mainly because I am so well invested in my citruses for warm weather, but I always love rose scents in winter anyway. Can't wait to wear this one as soon as the air turns crisp.

In a way, this smells like every cheap rose fragrance you’ve ever picked up and sprayed in a drugstore - but so much better. I think of Yardley English Rose very specifically, but elevated, with a similarly blackcurrant-y opening quickly giving way to a beautiful delicate pink turkish rose note, but made fuller by virtue of being propped up by a harmony of woody notes, and just a hint of patchouli benzoin and musk (it smells to me like there must be some kind of musk in here though perhaps I’m wrong!) This is far from a masterpiece of a fragrance, of course, but it’s not trying to be - it’s just a very excellent version of what it is; a fleshed out yet nonetheless light, bright and happy turkish rose scent.

My impression is only from a sample, but the rose and black current are dominant. I don't get any peach (usually this note takes over on me) unless it's aiding the sweetness. Patch? maybe, not enough to be able to say this scent has patchouli. The rest of the listed notes I don't perceive at all. It is stronger than the EdT of Rosa Rossa, but I'd say identical in scent. If you like that one, or like florals with a bit of a fruity touch and want it to last longer than the usual AA, you'll probably enjoy. The Aqua Allegoria line are nice, 3 season scents for all occasions. I'd still test before buying blind, I'm not sure the Forte line is worth the extra expense.

Peachy rose. Powdery. Has a sort of lotion / soapy smell to it but it works. Definitely can lean a bit more mature for some people’s tastes but it’s a jammy candied peachy rose- feel like the peach and rose incorporation in this is extremely well done, they’re both harmonious with each other. I’d say this is more of an after shower scent and compared to other guerlain fragrances I’ve tried, it isn’t the most long wearing or everlasting but it is quite lovely and feminine.

This is a scent that only a lover would know to compliment, with their face in you neck. It sits so intimately close to the skin, which is to say the projection is nonexistent after the first 20 minutes. I don’t think I’ll be reaching for this super often, not because it’s not nice, it is. It’s rosy and peachy, light and pleasant. A completely inoffensive summer scent. It’s just not loud enough for a girl like me lol :p

Very feminine, spring-like, & soft. The rose really overshadows any other smell & it is a standout. It's as if you're eternally carrying a bouquet on your shoulders. I'm not a huge fan of the smell itself but the image it projects when you're wearing it is pleasant.

What a beauty 🥹 it reminded me of the discontinued Ralph Lauren style !!! But of course with a better performance and richer ingredients... I just can’t help myself not sniffing my wrist e erytime I wear it. I got a 200 ml from duty free 👌🏻

Very pretty, delicate, youthful rose. The pink pepper keeps it perky and light and the peach fruitiness keeps it from feeling like a more “mature rose” (don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my old lady roses, but this is not one of them).

A very safe blind buy if you adore Rose in perfume and need clean daily non-offencive scent to wear to work. It is really, really pretty, calm, polite and proper. I can only smell rose and pink pepper. Simple and charming.

Very nice feminine perfume. Rosa Rossa but with a tad sweetness and oomph. Forte adds a tail to Rosa Rossa: at the point where Rosa Rossa disappears, Forte starts smelling like a rosy fruitchouli.

I wanted a rose-dominant scent that was still light and delicate and this certainly is that! I do think it's a liiiiittle mature so I don't use it as liberally as some of my other perfumes.

rosa rossa.. you surprised me. i’m not big on the aqua allegoria collection but the rose and pepper here is a lovely blend. if you like this you will most likely enjoy the forte florabloom

Oh, it’s way too heavy. I only get a very strong rose, a bouquet of all kinds of roses thrown in there and it is overwhelming. Performance is strong, couldn’t get it off my skin for hours (or maybe it just bothered me and it felt like hours lol), and it is way too loud on me. It is definitely not for the younger audiences in my opinion. But go for it if you’re into strong plain rose scents.

I wish I could smell more cassis, but it’s just a sweet and musky (candy-like) rose. Radiant, clean and fizzy, but not my cup of tea. I think I’ve smelled the OG version and it was a bit lighter and prettier for my taste. This one is a bit too overwhelming. My ig: scent.guide

I sampled this today, I have to say it is the second most realistic rose perfume I have ever smelled, it is absolutely beautiful, I love it! The only problem I have with this is the longevity, It reminds me of that movie "Gone in 60 secs" well, more like 20 min, that's it, you would need to reapply several times during the day, for the price point (£84 for 75ml) is not good, also it is a skin scent, my husband was standing 1mt away from me and he said he could not smell any perfume of me, which was very disappointing. It has a very similar dry down to Portrait of a Lady, minus the strength and consistency; I wish Rossa Forte had the same projection and longevity as PoaL, it would be an absolute winner; regardless, I think I will buy the smallest bottle possible of Rossa Forte or whenever it is on offer. EDIT: I sampled this again today and I decided,eventhough the smell is gorgeous, that I would not be buying this perfume ever, as the performance is terrible, maybe 10 min on my skin at the most before it's gone and forgotten about. Real shame, I will keep looking for a realistic rose fragrance with moderate to high longevity at a reasonable price.

i don't smell the peach or patchouli at all! i get a very strong, powdery rose and the cassis. kinda surprised by some comments mentioning it could work for teenagers/younger people bc it skews much older for me. but i always think you should wear what you like regardless of age, so if you're 16 and love a powdery rose, bust this out i support u!!

This isn’t a fragrance for extremes. It doesn’t belong to the summer heat, nor winter density. It lives in between in the transitional moments of ai shifting in the spring when you can feel summer approaching. If seasonality in perfumery is irrelevant to you, this probably won’t matter. But here, it shapes the experience. It's a very romantic, uplifting and soft rose, very Guerlain. I'm not sure if I'd called this fruity, but I think it's because when we talk about fruitiness, we imagine fruit bombs. When this is, in fact, fruity, just not tasteless fruity. Leans to a skincare fragrance, if that's what you'd enjoy.

Dear Forte Rosa Rossa, You are an amazing realistic bright rose bouquet, and I'm in love. Wondering now where to wear you, you are something ultimately feminine. I always find a perfume somewhere in the scale between "deep down in a cave, or in the earth itself" and "high on top in the sky, out in the clear brightness" and you are definitely somewhere near the latter scale end. I thinks there is a time for the former and for the latter type of scents. For something so "extreme" (and many acqua allegoria are in the same category) I think I just have to find the right occasion.

a beautiful, youthful rose fragrance. it's a sweet and slightly vaporous floral, the almond note combined with the dominant rose reminds me of stepping out of hot shower into the cold bathroom tiles after dousing myself in very nice body oil and shampoo (not in a powdery soapy way, but in a steamy shower at a nice hotel with very expensive shower and skincare products way). I've often had a problem with rose scents, as they usually transport me to an old lady's stuffed closet, but that is not the case with rosa rossa forte at all. will buy another bottle as soon as I can.

I LOVE this on a card. Beautiful. Something about the dry down on my skin however comes off a bit too powdery. The juiciness also fades quickly once it gets to the mid, which is why I was initially drawn to this formulation over the original Rosa Rossa. I prefer damask rose but to me this smells of primarily Bulgarian rose, but with fruitiness and eventually, some powder. I am guessing the almond is to blame for this effect. I have been tempted to get a bottle of this from my first few samplings but I think overall I will pass.

I have been wearing this scent today. It is a very fruity rose, I don't have the original Rosa Rossa. The pyramid notes includes black currant and peach. I mostly get the black currant. But it also reminds me of the fruity smell of pera granita. The rose note is beautiful and persistent. It has a slightly soapy undertone in the drydown. It is very natural smelling. The rose note reminds me of Sa Majeste La rose without the green leaves notes. This scent is just amazing. It is long lasting and I feel I want a back up bottle :(

soapy... pink and uplifting. I had a bottle of Crabtree & Evelyn rose shower gel a while ago that smells very similar. Not a dig, as I do rather like soapy and light rose smells. Won't have you penning poetry or writing paragraphs, but this is a very well done rose that leans pink, fresh, sweet, and a little powdery. Douse yourself in it at home, or after a nice bath. Maybe take it for a spin for a country walk, but I wouldn't recommend it for parties or places where you want to get noticed.

I accidentally ordered Forte Rosa Rossa instead of just Rosa Rossa but am so glad I did. This is exactly what I’m looking for in a soapy rose that doesn’t verge on cheap Herbal Essence hair soap territory. Light, aquatic, perfect for summer and not overly citrusy. Neither too sweet nor too mature. No pickle smell from the sandalwood and the peach doesn’t overshadow the rose. Sublime and subtle - great for the office or going out. Wish it lasted more than 3 hrs on me.

I got a sample of this. Wore it one day, really loved the opening, but the dry down was so overpowering patchouli and pink pepper knocked me out and not in a good way. It gave me a headache. On that note, I think it is a really interesting and different perfume, I appreciate how unique it smells. If you like Rose and patchouli and are looking for a unique perfume this could be a favourite. The pink pepper gives it a unique smell.

If you love SUPER pink roses, this is for you. I think it's more similar to the Delina line than it is to the original Rosa Rossa, which has so much more citrus-freshness than this does. Forte Rosa Rossa is in-your-face cheery rose with a lot of sweetness on top of the rosiness, from the peach and benzoin. And now that I think about it, it has that in common with Guerlain's French Kiss too - the sweetness.

I like this one - it's refreshing and little tart. Citruses are not zesty, but juicy, cassis note is very prominent! It's easy to wear, crowd pleaser. I love the dry down the best - the fragrance becomes sweeter, deeper, and I cannot stop sniffing my arm after 30 min or so. Do I like it? Yes! Do I need to a bottle? No, I have a lot of summer fragrances that I love more.
