Aqua Allegoria Orange Soleia

I absolutely hate the word “photorealistic.” And if I read “it’s just like when you peel an orange” one more time, I swear I’ll fucking scream. Yeah, it smells like oranges, alright. It’s literally called Orange Soleia. Duh. Bravo. Gold star for reading comprehension. But calling this “just like an orange” is like calling a tiger “just a cat.” Technically true, but it barely scratches the surface of what this Thierry Wasser masterpiece actually delivers. Let's get this straight: This isn’t some "citrus essential oil" you dab behind your ears before yoga. This isn’t your little niece's orange Starburst, and it sure as hell isn’t Fanta or Orange Crush or whatever fizzy orange-flavored crap. And it sure has NOTHING in common with Orange Sanguine by Atelier Cologne. Zero. Nada. Y’all. Stop with this blasphemy. Really. Cut it out. Yes, the blood orange is the star. And it’s BLOODY blood orange, not your average sweet, smiley kind. It's tangy, subtly bitter, full-bodied and mouth-watering, but it’s not alone. This is a full-blown, multi-star matinee: bergamot, pink pepper, mint, petitgrain, clean musk, and a sweetish trace of tonka. It’s zingy, sure. But also sun-soaked, mint-chilled, and deep-kissed with spice.🌶️ Bergamot adds sparkle, like a flicked switchblade, cutting straight through to peak freshness. Pink pepper (aka the everlasting flame of my olfactory life) throws that spicy, playful jab, like a wink across the bar from someone who knows it’s gonna work. Petitgrain's green, grassy hum keeps it classy and reins the fruit in before it cartwheels into basic bodywash territory. Then mint comes in cold, like ice water straight to your forehead mid-scorcher meltdown. Musk here is clean, crisp, and smells like you're rolling in dough. And tonka? A smooth operator in the background, never trying to steal the scene. There's just enough of both to keep things from turning too creamy, too cloying, too fast. It may be orange-forward, but it’s not simple, linear, or mono. It’s citrus with edge. Orange with attitude. There’s depth here. Complexity. Movement. If it were a drink, it’d be freshly squeezed bitter blood orange juice over crushed ice, spiked with pink pepper, and garnished with mint, all served by someone way too hot to be stuck working a day shift. 🍹🥵 I’ve been wearing this since it launched five years ago and have repurchased full bottles without a second thought. It’s one of the few scents people consistently compliment, always with something about me smelling “fresh” and “bright.” Which is ironic, because I’m neither lol. But I’ll take it. Apparently, orange makes people think you’re younger too. That tracks. Basically citrus Botox, minus the needles. It’s also the perfect antidote to heavy florals and powder bombs. So this is what “full of life” really smells like. I packed a smaller 75ml bottle for a sweltering summer vacation last week because I knew it’d carry my serotonin load. I was fully relying on this scent to fix my mood, and it did. It got me through airport chaos, heatstroke, and at least one identity crisis. Tbh, that should be an official use case. I mostly wear it solo in the summer, but it’s also a killer layering weapon. 🔪 Lime Basil & Mandarin by Jo Malone turns it into citrus-lashed mayhem. Sailing Day by Maison Margiela adds salt and sea, like blood orange dripping on a boat deck after a skinny dip. Hot sun, cold sea. Blood and salt. My idea of heaven. If it existed. Longevity’s solid for an EdT. About four hours. Long enough to make an impression. 🧊 Tip: in summer, I keep it in the fridge for that extra icy-cold slap. And when I want it to trail me like a lip-tingling rumor, I spray it through my hair. And sometimes down my cleavage. Desperado-style. Because yes, if this perfume were a woman, it would be Salma Hayek's Carolina from Desperado (1995): mid-chase, pistol tucked in her garter, wild-haired, all hot'n'heavy, kissing like she means to ruin you. She’s sweaty. She’s laughing. She sprays this in her thick, curly raven-black hair, and when she turns her head, men crash their cars. She puts an extra spritz right in her hot, full-bosomed cleavage. Because that’s where the real game’s played, between sunburn and sin. She tempts. Then she stings. 🧡🔥💃🏻 4.5/5 — this isn’t just orange, it’s a Chicano ballad in perfume form: equal parts fire and flair. If it played on stage, I’d be in the front row, shouting bravo, hands stinging from applause, shoulders bare and sunburnt, eyelids heavy, with a grin wickedly curved.

Whew! Already nearing May, and safely away from the mind-blowing madness of 2020. It's hard to imagine the indignation we were collectively feeling. Even more difficult to find any good that came from last year, but it was there all around us. From learning new skills, or more time with the family, and for a lot of us, less time at work. The skies brightened and the water cleared. We remembered to wash our hands and were more mindful of the world around us. Now it's 2021, and "The Show" didn't even catch its breath! Amidst all this dumb-founding chaos, perfume companies were throwing any optimistic scent our way, often to ditsy and dizzying heights of bizarre obscurity. Like a child left too long to their own devices, we received perfumes that were aimed to emulate various indeterminate moments. Like the smell of a crime scene, burning rubber, or even bloody gums. I suppose we all reached our mind's limit - each in our own way. Thankfully, Uncle Thierry went an entirely different direction with his new release Orange Soleia, from the Aqua Allegoria line up. What a dramatically photo-realistic, sunshine optimistic, and largely linear perfume this is! Careful not to fall into too many of the pitfalls accompanied with a complete citrus chord, we are left with the most perfect orange scent. Blood orange to be exact. I laughed wholeheartedly when I first saw that notation. How could they begin to translate those subtle nuances between blood orange versus mandarin versus sweet orange? And yet! Top notes couldn't be anything but Blood Orange! Along with the sopranic, herbaceous-lime voice of Bergamot. Petigrain and mint support the sweetly tangy notes of fruit in the opening, and even manage to amplify fleeting tones of acidity. Pink pepper, musk and Tonka bean add to the whole without becoming distracting or dominate. Even in the dry down phase, this fragrance manages to seem magnanimously intact. Cheerful and refreshing, sitting on my bureau refracting the perfect color of gold, as would an African sun.

Beautiful citrus fragrance. The opening is indeed a sparkling, photorealistic blood orange - juice, flesh, and bitter rind - along with some juicy bergamot and a bit of pink pepper spice. As the fragrance evolves, the citruses take on a more candied quality, which blends into a nice juicy, chewy kind of Hi-Chew accord for the rest of its life. I do wish that the vibrancy of the orange in the opening lasted just a liiiiitttle bit longer, but wishing a citrus fragrance lasted longer is asking the impossible. Ah, well. Even though the opening is wonderful, the drydown is by no means poor. It's a beautiful scent, strongly reminiscent to me of L'Homme Ideal Cologne, but like, way better. I was not at all impressed with that fragrance, and still just can't see why it's so loved. To me, it smelled exactly like Haribo Goldbears, and with the almond on top it just smelled sickly sweet in tropical heat. This is like that, but juicier, clearer, sharper, fresher, brighter...In short, all of the qualities that I found L'Homme Ideal Cologne lacked. Performance is pretty good on me for an Aqua Allegoria, around 5-6 hours of longevity with pretty good projection for the first hour. That's just how the cookie crumbles for this type of fragrance, and I'm not at all peeved by it. In fact, I think this is stronger than most citrus fragrances out there. Overall, I like Orange Soleia a lot, and will be pursuing a full bottle of this if I find the right price. I don't think I would drop 90 smackers on this, but then again, I wouldn't say that citrus perfumes are my favorite. Still, living in a hot and sticky furnace, ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Once this hits the discounters, $40-60 range, I'd say this one is in the bag. If you're looking for a good citrus, this one is certainly one to consider. 8.5/10

Orange juice splashed over a mint candy on a clean musk base! I initially bought Orange Soleia as an alternative to Mandarine Basilic, but Mandarine Basilic is more herbal, whereas Orange Soleia is more like an orange-mint candy. The comparison to candy might sound off-putting, but it really grew on me over time. It doesn’t smell juvenile or cheap, but I’d say Mandarine Basilic smells a little more sophisticated. I can’t smell any pink pepper in the opening, also I am not sure about the petit grain. The musk in the base however is very nice, quite clean. It’s a nice refreshing scent to have in your collection if you like orange/citrus scents. The longevity is surprising for a citrus edt - lasted and projected well on me for 3 hours at least, after which it slowly became a skin scent. Comparing it to Vetiver Pamplemousse (also to the elixir version) - it’s not similar at all. VP has a strong grapefruit note and it gives off less candy vibe, more unsweetened soda. VP Elixir has strong woody notes, so it’s even less similar to Orange Soleia. Pamplelune (not Orange Soleia) would be the fragrance from this line that is similar to Vetiver Pamplemousse. Overall: 8.5/10

If you've ever wished for the perfect, refreshing, orange citrus, this is it! They've achieved a delicate balance between that wonderful, sharp, accurate, intoxicating, orange peel juice that doesn't go too far because the perfect touch of sweetness backs it off edge. Then the developing notes keep it from being more than just a citrus. It's really lovely. You won't even care about the longevity shortcomings because you'll crave that citrus hit over and over. I'm really happy. The dry down gets a bit woody. The musk is there but it's just a supporting role. I feel the bergamot is present through the opening as a citrus but as it drys down the refreshing green side of bergamot makes friends with the musk. I don't smell the pepper unless it's part of the woodiness. It works for me. My citrus search is satisfied for the moment. You'll enjoy this Spring through Summer.

I sought out an orange/mandarin/clementine perfume after I smelled 7 Virtues' Clementine Dream, which was a pretty realistic clementine+vanilla. This is even more photorealistic to oranges, specifically to the image of someone peeling an orange and you can see the juice-oil mist spurt out of the rind into the air. It is more sour than sweet (more like the peel than the juice of an orange). This also has wayyyy longer longevity than Clementine Dream and projects more, but it also suffers the same shorter lasting power as other citrus-centric perfumes. I give it maybe around 4-5 hours. I'm excited to try layering this with a simple sweet creamy perfume for that orange creamsicle smell

This is a fantastic orange scent, incredibly realistic and beautiful. Very airy and light, but also projects wonderfully and lasts all day. I always get tons of compliments for it, even though I stop feeling it on myself after about 4 hours - it's still there for those around you! It's also so very wonderfully uplifting and always puts me in a great mood. I really like that it's not super sweet and feels very unisex, and I really appreciate that it never gives me a headache like heavier perfumes sometimes do. Really is a favorite, and such a beautiful bottle too! And there is nothing out there that is similar to this scent. I hope Guelain will make a Forte version of this...

Gorgeous, uplifting and addictive. Very realistic fizzy orange scent, beautiful for summer but I'll admit to wearing this any time of year for a mood boost. Very unique and deserves more hype. The mint note isn't overly prominent and is well blended so for anyone put off by that, I wouldn't worry, it is predominantly orange which shines through. It's like the smell of peeling or juicing oranges on a Spanish or Italian getaway. A resort breakfast juice bar! I would definitely recommend this is as a women's perfume. I'll never stop repurchasing this one- it's an all time favourite. Longevity is ok but would prefer it to be longer lasting.

Aqua Allegoria Orange Soleia a joyful citrus triumph of rare beauty: pure, sunny, absolute orange, imbued with harsh notes of Mediterranean bergamot in perfect harmony with the fresh notes of mint, the lively and clear notes of Petitgrain fused with the liveliness of pink pepper. Crystalline, limpid blend, a supreme hymn to the beautiful season, a fragrance with a surprising olfactory evolution, on the one hand spicy from the Tonka bean and reassuring and subtle from the musk. Creation worthy of the great Guerlain maison.

I loved this in the warmer weather and now the temperature has dropped I am still in love with it. I actually don’t mind that the longevity isn’t fantastic because I’ve reached a er, certain age, and I’m finding a couple of extra sprays to help cool me down a bit. For that reason I actually like having a couple of short longevity scents. Chanel L’Eau Rouge is great for this too. The orange in this is beautifully fresh and not too sweet, and makes a lovely change from my tendency to default towards rose and cherry scents.

One of my favorite orange scents. Orange is my favorite citrus note. Blood orange opening is killer. Realistic and juicy as I expected. I might be picking up on a little bit of pepper aswell. The orange lingers throughout the life of the scent. The mint and tonka are the other major players. These Aqua Allegorias are built to be light and fresh with killer openings and soft drys downs. It really doesn't bother me that it's not long lasting. I appreciate these for what they are. Totally unisex.

Refreshing and realistic orange. It sits close to the skin but lasts a decent amount of time for a freshie. I think I got the fragrance for 34 dollars for the 75 ml (at discounters) which at that price point it's a steal, it smells like you are peeling an orange with some light mint in the background. Reminds me a little of ADP arancia di capri, but with better performance. Overall the performance on this is ok, 4-5 hours, consistent scent bubble. Smells very natural and IMO it's unisex.

I learned to appreciate this from a sample during the very hot summer days this week in the Netherlands. Very refreshing! Wearing a sample of H24 from Hermes as well made me realise I need a bottle of Orange Soleia. Years ago I bought some Hermes orange fragrances but quickly got bored with them. Imo Orange Soleia is more beautiful and interesting than the Hermes offerings. It even has some depth. I love the orange freshness it provides, and the beautiful dry-down in the summer heat!

opens with a warm, semi-sweet, zesty orange that quickly dries down to a fresh green scent. I was apprehensive at first, but it has really been growing on me, it's perfect for someone who doesn't want an overly sweet scent. My one complaint would be that it does not have powerful projection, and it does fade very quickly from skin without proper prep. One thing that surprised me was that it dried down to pure grapefruit when sprayed on clothes, definitely surprising.

I don't know how blood orange actually smells like but Orange Soleia smells like a very sweet mandarin orange. The peppery touch to it makes it smell unisex, in my opinion. I don't detect the other notes listed here. It's so refreshing and delicious at the same time. Since it is an EDT, it does not last long on me. Lucky if it stays up to 4 hours on my skin. Despite the performance, I still love it. I just wish Guerlain will create a forte version for this one too.

I fell in love with this at the store, I've never smelled a perfume as realistic and delicious as this one! Absolutely love the smell of clementines and this is exactly it. My friend said this smells soapy, but I don't think so. Love to spray this in my hair, especially since the longevity is so weak that it barely stays anywhere else. Unfortunately almost gone after 2-3 hours on my skin, and it's a skin scent very quickly, a whiff of a sillage if at all.

This is one of my most complimented fragrances. A great and uplifting orange scent, with an interesting, peppery touch to it. Ik prefer it above the mandarine and pamplelune scent in the Aqua Allegoria Collection. It indeed resembles Ateliers Colognes Orange Sanguine, that one is to me more creamy where Orange Soleia is (a bit) more spicy. Ik love them both, on my skin Orange Soleia last longer. I'm a fan, I just bought my third fullsize bottle.

Honestly, I suspect you can wear this all year round, but I'm testing on me on a beautiful sunny day and it complements it perfectly! I adore this! It is a VERY orange citrus with a little sweetness, but not in the overwhelmingly sugary way summer scents often are. It is beautifully clean, simple, light and airy - I can completely understand why so many people say it gets compliments, it is a stand out but in a really understated kind of way.

This Aqua Allegoria is just a wonder! Definitely the best from whole series. Its an energetic scent of an freshly squeezed orange with dash of spiciness. I’m in love! For all fans of Mandarine Basilic- this one is even better and crispier, but for the fans of gourmand scents: its less sweet and more unisex fyi. Maybe worth trying before buy. I got it on the first possible occasion. Wearing it every day ever since. Big orange Love

I didn't know what to expect from the mint note...but just wow, what a perfect blend, smooth and creamy orange scent, lightly minty and spicy, musky and comforting...I don't even know how to describe it, just delightful. Good lasting for an EDT on my skin, up to 5-6 hours, probably better scent for spring and summer but I am enjoying it any season, it's so addictive. Big love ❤️. Could be a big hit for orange lovers, recommend.

Orange, with a tad of spice, is always nice. Someone needs to develop a summer drink - on the rocks - based on this scent. This is as much of a flavor as it is a scent. If you love the taste of a blood orange, you will enjoy Orange Soleia a lot. If orange is not your jam (pun intended), stay away. Otherwise, indulge. It’s really an uplifting scent during the summer heat. Spray and stay cool.

I've owned this for over a year now. My absolute FAVORITE perfume!! Strong orange scent that is natural and not medicinal or chemical. If I had to describe it to someone I would say: it smells as if you peeled and orange and lemon and can smell the peels on your fingers with a tiny bit of mint. This was a blind buy for me and is now my soul scent <3

At first when I smelled it - it was just like orange with florals and it was cute but not that special. Little did I know that I'd keep coming to this just to smell and have the rush of oranges and citrus almost like as if it's some soothing therapy effect. Absolutely love it and it's not cloying in anyway and doesn't make you sick.

I tested it today at the store. I had 4 sprayed and it lasted pretty good and smelled it for half a day at work. It does smell similar to my AA favourite Mandarine Basilic. I don't know now which one I would like better. This one has tonka bean making it stand out. Definitely nice summer smell and will be on my list to buy.

One of the best blood orange fragrances I’ve had the pleasure of trying. Juicy luscious sweet blood oranges with zesty bergamot leaping off your skin. It’s not difficult to find a balance of peppermint Tonka and pink pepper. This is the fragrance so many other fragrances should have been or could have been.

This is a very beautiful perfume. It's bright and vibrant, reminds me of an orange Creamsicle when mixed with a vanilla lotion for the base. Our whole family loves this one. It smells so different on each of us. It's definitely unisex and truly could go either direction with the right chemistry.

It's BEAUTIFUL. If you want to smell just like an orange, this is it. Absolute orange peels crushed and pressed into your skin. It has just a tinge of sweetness. To me this smells absolutely real. It does not smell like a perfume; it smells like oranges. Absolutely delightful. Highly recommend.

Orange Crush, Sunkist, Fanta - including the bubbles. And the mint lends it a bit of ice. I was hoping this would be more like a creamsicle, but I still love it. Might try layering it with some vanilla. This is my only fragrance with the classic Guerlain vintage style bottle and I love it.

I just love this smell that reminds me of enjoying a refreshing cocktail in the summertime. After a while, the scent becomes to more herbal as the mint kicks in. The upsetting thing about this perfume is poor lasting power. Anyway, this is my favorite from Aqua Allegoria line.

Upon first spray - it's a bright freshly squeezed orange juice. Then once it settles, it smells like a whole orange with the rinds. Very realistic smelling as some reviewers have stated. Super bright and super sunshiny! Just lifts your mood!

I received a sample and at first I wasn’t sure , then my husband said mmmmm you smell lovely and throughout the day I kept getting Whiffs of this beautiful orange smell with hints of pepper and mint it’s lovely ❤️

I love this perfume so much but it doesn’t last at all. I could spray like 8 times and after an hour or 2 it’s gone. At least I feel like it doesn’t last at all.

Wearing this is tough because I just wanna drink it to be honest. Smells like the most delicious ice cold crisp minty cocktail,can’t get enough of the opening.

Im not an Orange fan, but I'm kinda enjoying wearing this perfume clean, fresh and energetic , that how is makes me feel.. Overall 7.5/10

Aqua Allegoria Orange Soleia opens with blood orange, bergamot, a hint of mint, pink pepper (giving it an edge) and a hint of tonka. It projects moderately for about three and a half hours before settling to a skin scent. It takes about eight hours or so for the fading process to take it from a moderate projector to vanishing into the ether. The opening accord is broadly what you get throughout the entire life of the perfume but simply in gradually diminishing intensity as time goes by. Yes, I get just a few seconds more than twelve hours duration from this. If you're properly hydrated and eat a balanced diet and don't smoke, you should be able to get far more out of your perfumes (as well as your nose). It seems very common for reviewers to make comparisons between perfumes and drinks - if I had a pound for every time I'd read someone saying a perfume is lemonade / orange / fanta / mojito/ lime / some kind of soda etc., I'd have enough money for another bottle of every perfume I've already got! Still, you know what they say: if you can't beat 'em, join 'em! So, in the spirit of that, there's something reminiscent of drinking San Pellegrino's Orange and Pomegranate in a garden in front of a mint plant pot and with flowers nearby. It's a rather bright orange and bergamot combination but the mint does somewhat settle it and the tonka adds a gentle sweetness. The orange is bright but not as realistic as Atelier Cologne's Orange Sanguine in the opening hour or two. Unlike that one, however, this retains its accord throughout so you keep on getting those top notes. Essentially this is a happy, bright, light spring and summer perfume. I was slightly relieved when I tried this because petitgrain normally turns perfumes to a claggy mess on my skin. Mercifully, this petitgrain doesn't, although it may be responsible for a slight feeling of a hint of a headache when I smell the perfume deliberately. I'm not currently sure whether or not I'd repurchase this but I'll consider the matter when a few of my other citrus and citrus aromatics have been used up.

This one opens super citric. Bright mandarins orange, lemon, and maybe a touch of crisp pine. After 10-20 minutes the orange is still there but lower notes start to show. It’s delicately floral, lily or something clean and light, maybe a touch of powdered sugar, and a cushiony delicate fluffy whitish pink finish. It’s really pleasant, and I didn’t find it especially feminine but my wife picked up on the florals and called it matronly. That’s far from the ficus but there’s definitely a mature floral backing to this recipe that keeps it sophisticated after a wild first blast of orange zest. A nice ride and a pleasant finish. Projects at arms length or a bit more, changes rapidly. Not a bad value but needs reapplying for the fresh citrus.

Much nicer Orange scent than Orange Sanguine. Orange sanguine is more fresh citrus almost aspirin like 😕 when Orange Soleia is a real juicy orange juice with a hint of sugar... the hint of sugar can make it a bit syrupy but it is very faint and not bothering at all. Definitely a must try ON SKIN where it delivers so much more than on paper strip 😉 EDIT 6 hours later : damn this delivers !!! It’s still on, it turned into a skin scent after 5h wear. Now I smell a faint orange and mainly mint + musk. That mint and musk combo is almost cedar like, and very similar to Orange Sanguine dry down. It takes 1 hour for Orange sanguine to reach this final dry down stage, whereas it takes Orange Soleia 5h to hit the last fragrance stage...

Nice light orange and bergamot top, mildly tart and mildly sweet, nicely dialed in with a drop of greenness. More so a ripe orange juice rather than the tart zest. There is a certain sweet muskiness and freshness in the back slightly feminine leaning in its watery elegance (still relatively unisex). The result is a very radiant orange fragrance that resembles orange slices immersed in water. The retail price seems a bit steep considering the performance is not the best and the scent itself is good but not phenomenal or particularly interesting. Nonetheless it would be a nice find on a discounter for the summer.

Still-life, if not photorealistic, early-morning dewy orange blossom. Lush, effervescent blend that is refreshing and buoyant. Monotheme Venezia Verde d'Arancia is a reasonable placeholder if you're ok with more fruit than flower - it's not the same profile, but delivers a similar juicy orange impression. This is too expensive to be blind buy safe, but worth the money if you're a fan of this fragrance type. Projection is high, sillage low-moderate after the top notes settle. Longevity is ok ~4h, lower than I'd like for this price point but unsurprising for the fragrance family.

I really like this one. Orange, orange, orange, with its juice and zest. I find it very unique, since the orange is so very realistic here. After 5-10min the orange is getting slightly bitter. There is no sweetness here at all, and I'm missing that a little bit. It's good for layering, though. I layer it with A Girl in Capri, which is a realistic lemon but with some sweetness to it. Unfortunately that one disappears after just a few minutes, so it does not really help. I plan to buy AA Nettare di Sole, which is sweet as well and has a better performance.

This is very orange, as in orange rind, not flower. Its like some kind of a rich orange cocktail with spices, which give it a slightly masculine quality. I like citrus scents, including orange but the spice in the background - haven’t figured out what it is, exactly - turns it a tiny bit too men’s cologne for me, I’d prefer a more feminine version, a bit lighter. Its like a traditional Christmas orange with dried cloves pushed into it, sans the christmas tree plus the summer sun. I think I would enjoy this on a man more. Good longevity and sillage.

I don’t wear citrus scents often, but I have a sample of this fragrance. It’s a juicy and tangy orange scent - smells like a true sweet and zesty orange with a hint of mint. It’s aromatic, but also very light and fresh. Pretty scent. I love almost all perfumes from the house of Guerlain, even citrus fragrances that I rarely ever care to wear... this house just always blends their fragrances perfectly for me. Also, the bottle is to DIE for - so charming and whimsical. I want the heavenly bottle alone for my vanity lol.

This is really a fun one, I think, because it really smell like peeling an orange or mandarin. Its as sweet as an orange, not more, not less. Its very realistic of a real orange, so I really cant pinpoint any notes at all actually. I kinda like it, I think I will retry it during summer, because I imagine a splash of this during summer can feel very refreshing and nice! Sometimes it can be suitable to smell like just an orange :) imagine putting this in my hair! Ahhh...

This is great stuff. It's simple and very unisex. While it's obvious that the orange note is star player in the first 2 hours, I do get the green/twigy petitgrain, and subtle spices under it. The dry down you get the clean linen musks, but I'm also detecting a dry woody note, similar to cedar or perhaps sandalwood. But the more I smell it, the woody note has a slight rubbery spice so perhaps it's Guiacwood. Either way ...it's a really well done linear fragrance.

I love citrus scents, and like this one very much...blood orange with herbs. I have spent a great deal of time in Italy, and blood orange scents remind me of very happy times and wonderful people. However, I will not be buying this again: the longevity and sillage are so minimal that I cannot justify the price. A pity... I wish this scent lasted longer. If it did, it would be one of my go-to summer fragrances.

Not my favorite of the Acqua Allegorias, but this is very pleasant and easy to wear. Starts with a photorealistic orange, and then the tonka starts to emerge, creating a delicious creamsicle scent. Soon dries down to a lovely skin scent. I wouldn't have minded a touch more mint and petitgrain to give it more freshness; on my skin it's very sweet. Definitely perfect for summer with it's creamsicle/soda vibes.

I find this fragrance to be VERY hard to smell. Sillage is greatly reduced after the first 30 minutes. A pity because what i can smell of this fragrance leaves me wanting more. It's a bright, fresh, realistic orange with some spicy green notes. Many of the options in the AA collection tend to be very subtle with almost no sillage to speak of and unfortunately this fragrance is one of them.
