Aroma Allegoria Aromaparfum Vitalising

I loooooooooooove this. This is from Guerlains AROMA allegoria range, and its all in the name, this is a cross over to use of higher proportion of essential oils, designed to affect mood and senses, in addition to having an absolutely divine scent. I managed to buy a second hand bottle from someone who didn’t know what kind of a treasure they were letting go of on eBay! This is an extremely uplifting and surprisingly sophisticated citrus - tea - saffron scent. Its citrusy but more like an orange soda rather than squeezed lemon, softer. There is also something aromatic and green there, bit like hidden herba fresca, but its underneath. Due to it having a higher concentration of naturals, it has a shorter longevity, but ah, it is soooo wonderful. I cannot stop smelling my wrist when I put this on. Its uplifting and soothing and just an all round BEAUTIFUL scent to surround yourself with and it does lift your mood and increase your wellbeing, in my opinion. Its divine, and I will be keeping my eyes open for this coming up for sale second hand.

This one is WAY more interesting than the typical Aqua Allegoria. For one, it's much more complex...it's mostly citrus, but spicier and more floral. It feels like there's a chunk of Herba Fresca DNA in here too - as the perfume dries down it gets that wonderful grassy vibe from HF. Not easy to find, but worth it!

Just after application all I can smell are citruses (fresh and sour, but not in a bad way - the smell is very realistic). After a while warm spices comes out. I can detect saffron and tea quite well. Lasting power is great - all day (now 9 hours and I can still smell it). I like it very much - great for cloudy weather.

I can't stand it. The citruses made me think of toilet freshener. Later the tea was most dominant but with a hint of mothball. The dry-down was mostly saffron. The wood in the background made it a little better but it still reminded me a lot of Indian food. This just doesn't work for me. With 7+ hours it's quite long lasting, I'll give it that much.
