Champs-Élysées Eau de Toilette

Oh my God. This fragrance is amazing! I blind bought it because I was looking for a mimosa fragrance, I saw it also has buddleia (which I love as a plant and I had never seen it in any other fragrance before) and I found a bottle at a very good price. I read some reviews prior to make my purchase and they were very promising, but this scent definitely outcomes my expectations. I know it has being around since the late 1990s, but I did not check it before (I was a young girl back then, looking for less sophisticated fragrances...). I have the current formulation, never smelled the original one, but I find it so good! It is floral, a bit fruity, a little aquatic (almost slightly marine), there is also something creamy and lotion-like. It is so positive, youthful and uplifting, but elegant and refined at the same time. I do not think it is a scent for a mature person (despite the fact I thought so, back in the days), I think it is quite suitable for anybody at any age. I will use it a lot this spring and summer and I am very, very happy of this purchase.

This is an overlooked Guerlain gem. A jewel in my small collection. A favorite floral. I find the mimosa flower note in this EDT to be so lovely. Light, airy, almost aquatic and ethereal. Champs Elysees has an intimate silage with a 3 to 4 hour longevity. But what a pleasure it is for that time. I don’t have the reference to former formulations, but this Les Legendaires version, with it’s beautiful bottle & heart shaped glass cap, should not be discounted. Anyone loving mimosa might want to seek it out at a Guerlain counter to test. It’s a perfect fresh & light fragrance for the summer & and exquisite for an ‘at home’ winter day. If this isn’t a Legend, it is at the very least a Classic.

At first, I was a little confused, maybe because I wasn’t expecting it. But then, I fell in love with it. The mimosa note is beautiful. To me, it has personality, and it is a very feminine perfume. It carries a subtle touch of nostalgia, yet it is not sad. It’s dreamy, as if it holds a memory within it... I find this scent addictive, while still maintaining it’s elegance. Mature and vintage, which I like, although I understand that it may not appeal to everyone. Inherently vintage yes, but in the most graceful way. I think I understand now why it is called that. Very classy scent.

It's a grey and drab winter day at the end of the year. It keeps raining and the light is already fading into darkness in the early afternoon. Scent-wise, it's a good day to wear something very sunny and uplifting, like Champs-Elysees. An intense energy boost which makes me think of spring, Paris, apples (For some reason I smell apples in it, do you?), a frosty glass of champagne and the Valentine's day... Just dreamy, dreamy, dreamy.

Champs Elysées is one of my absolute favorite scents ever. This EDT is gorgeous, same DNA as the original, less fruity, more floral. Wonderful fragrance, a lovely bouquet of flowers. My most complimented perfume, elegant and feminine. This new bottle is beautiful! Masterpiece.

The best perfume in store today, wonderful. Unique, feminine, similar to pure desire de mimosa but more complex. This is a true mimosa scent...like a field of mimosa's ...in the spring but you can wear this perfume even in winter.

I've been told Champs Elysees will disappear. So I bought a bottle and I'm pleasantly surprised. It's a nice scent, but it's one of those scents my nose needs to get adjusted to. So it will take some time to appreciate it more. For now my rating is ''like''. I may be wrong but my nose says freesia, but less overpowering.

It is very badly made. This is totally different from the original fragrance I remember from the 90s. I tested it in a store and was utterly disappointed. The fragrance smells like it comes way back in the past, like some cheap aftershave or soap. It smells cheap, synthetic, outdated, pungent. I am using vintage Champs Elysees in a gold box. It is a gem of perfumery. This is not even close... maybe old people favor this.

This version is nice and quite floral although I had hoped for a more fruity/sparkling experience of the older formula. How similar is this to the juice in the shoulder pads bottle? I ordered a Champs Elysee EDP in the old shoulder pads bottle that ForeverLux pictured in the listing. They sent me an EDT in this recent Les Legendaires bottle instead. Wrong bottle, wrong formulation, wrong concentration. I contacted their customer service and they said they would accept a return but I pay for shipping myself (seems objectively wrong given they sent me the wrong item). They also said they would charge a restocking fees on top of that if I had opened the box - which I obviously had to do to see they sent the wrong item. They seem a little nasty with returns (even it’s their fault), so I want to understand if I'm stuck with this bottle, whether this new formula is even close to what I’m supposed to be smelling. I really wanted the old version because I loved the bottle and the scent profile looked amazing. Now I have a hole in my budget and still don’t have the thing I wanted. Trying to asses how much effort I should take to return this and get the older bottle elsewhere.

classic floral, vintage vibe but in the best of meanings. clean, not heavy, suitable for all occasions. i get a lipstick scent in the drydown, probably it's the mimosa? interesting but not bad.
