Beautiful !! I wanna cry *cries* Ok soooo This thing has the strength of a horse (pun intended and will talk about it later.) This thing really gave my beast fragrances a good horse-kick to knock them off of their thrones. This thing easily stole their spots, and yes, it’s currently my strongest fragrance in my collection—Mugler Aura getting dethroned??!!?I mean I still love Aura but someone can finally drag that queen by the hair when it comes to potency. This thing is built like an rpg tank-bruiser and TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THIS, I only need one spray ANNDDDD that one spray consists of 3 quarter sprays that i spray in my chosen spots because the atomizer distributes 2 sprays worth of radioactive power plant strength typa juice in a single spray, so obviously doing 4-5 sprays is beyond overkill, goddd even two sprays is atrocious enough for you to get sued for hate crime and invasion of people’s personal space. Goshhh, I could talk about its strength over and over again like a never-ending carousel spiraling into madness but this thing is more than its impressive performance. Not only is it ridiculously strong but also, scent-wise, an absolute regal beauty—a masterpiece. Notice how I kept mentioning horses in the beginning? That’s because it does remind me of a leather horse saddle like what most reviews claimed 🐎 The initial spray and first half can shock some people because it’s borderline animalic, some get reminded of leather, some get reminded of manure and to make things more complex the animalic nuances are blended with the polarizing aroma of alcoholic beverages. It has that same liquor scent you get from the first spritz of Eilish no. 2, Bois 1920 Astratto (which could also signify that it kinda smells like Nasomatto Baraonda). The “shock” qualities get more refined as the scent develops on ur skin tho, so don’t pay much attention to your first impressions because ur not gonna smell like its first half all throughout the experience. Although it’s a straightforward leather scent, my nose is picking an abstract caramel-y creaminess and licorice nuances in this one. It has this lovely roasted nuts, almond-y, and bubblegum-losing-its-flavor sweetness to it that makes it less controversial as opposed to a true animalic scent. This fragrance also helped me realize that I actually own a lot of fragrances with a leather note, which my nose couldn’t detect back then because I’ve never smelled a true leather fragrance; however, the fact that I enjoy this scent a lot is enough to tell why I enjoy those scents I currently have in my rotation—the more that I sniff this, the more my nose gets trained in detecting leather notes. It took me about 3 days to realize what this scent reminds me of and thankfully after a couple wears and off-guard whiffs, navigating where the deja vu feeling came from got easier overtime !! Eureka, this is the lovechild of Rayhaan Cordova’s nutty leather note and Amouage Royal Tobacco’s tobacco note !! (to my nose) Just like the two fragrances I mentioned, they also share the same staying power. Once this settles on ur skin, prepare urself to get a lot-and I mean by a loootttt of whiffs from ur scent bubble !! This thing will haunt u for the next 20+ hours. (Mind u I’m pertaining to the strength of a single shared spray = 3 quarter sprays on my chosen pulse points) This is an easy 10/10 for me but just when u thought it can’t get any better, this thing is SUCHHHHH A VERSATILE LAYERING SPRAYYYY !! IT’S UNBELIEVABLY COMPATIBLE WITH ALL THE FRAGRANCES I CURRENTLY WEAR !! Using this as an extra layer to ur amber, vanilla, and incense-centric scents will surely give them the needed depth and extra push just when you thought these scents couldn’t get any more complex. I know people are not going to react the same way i did but i find it weird how i think this is something i can totally wear in a casual day 😭 i’ve probably smelled so much offensive-to-the-untrained-nose type of scents to the point where i’m already desensitized to it—hell I’m literally trying to find something MORE complex than this because it smells... normal NORMAL? BLIND-BUY SAFE? YES. To my nose 😔 I’d love to challenge myself tho because I know scents like the spinal fluid one or secretions magnifique would humble me but let’s be realistic, “wearability” should always be a part of the criteria, hence there should be the perfect balance between offensive and wearable regardless of how f*d up the scent is. Girl idk what i’m yapping about at this point But this is perfect. PLEASE I know some people aren’t in the same level of the rabbit hole, we, the weird ass people with a fragrance hobby are in but I think this is something everyone should give a sniff regardless of what reaction one might evoke because this is a scent no one should miss out on. What an experience !! Love love love loveeee this so much (and this is coming from someone who used to enjoy generic fruity-floral peachy scents) GRAB A BOTTLE OF THIS IF U WANT TO ADD A LEATHER NOTE ON UR FRAGRANCES !! Masterpiece leather I have been a fan since 2024 , I have been getting decants and testers since i usually only use a little and then layer with different vanille to make it feminine and recently my brother ended up getting a full bottle for himself after testing other popular leathers. It's a beautiful realistic leather and has nuance ,, complexity , it is not at all completely linear but it is leather LEATHER . I find sometimes it smells little differently in different whiffs, literally reminds me of smelling my full grain calf leather Italian handbag when it came out of It's protective bag . It's really elegant, for classy gentlemen with good taste and a esoteric side . For a leather I don't think it's overly mature smelling either (but it will be old smelling to very young noses). Perfect for an evening black tie event ,I think its too intense and big to be a daily wear , but if that's who you are then sure why not. If you're a lady craving a realistic leather in your collection I think this should be the one , the soft/ sweet/smokey notes that round it off make it really easy to pair with anything "white musk" and floral as well and give it a good raw edginess Longevity on clothes is excellent, i can smell it on jackets and dresses even after the wash , on skin it lasts easily about 4-6 hours before starting to become intimate (but will stay till a proper wash) , sillage over all is really good without becoming annoying and cloying but I do find myself getting a bit smell blind when i wear it too often , it seems less intense to me than to other people around , so I think you have to be mindful of the sprays overtime Overall, love this juice , no notes

Very much a masculine fragrance. This fragrance is a complement magnet. Put on a few sprtizes on your neck at the beginning of the day and people will still be noticing it at the end of the work day. Very heavy tobacco note which is atypical for many fragrances at the moment and makes this really unique. Iniitial spray fees slightly harsh and pungent, but the dry down after 10 seconds settles this fragrance down into a rich yet fresh, sophisticated and classy fragrance. I am not exaggerating, I have had people genuinely comment to me, mid conversation that I smell amazing and ask me what fragrance I am wearing. Easily will become one of my permanent signature scents to wear. As it is a woody and tobacco heavy fragrance, it lends itself more to Autumn, Winter and Spring than Summer, as I could see the heavy nature of it being too much in hot weather. However, it can easily make a transition between day to night as a fragrance as it is elegant and professional enough to work for being in the office and out and about, while being deep and sensuous enough to also work very well as an evening fragrance. It conjoures to mind a luxurious, dark wood panelled room, crystal glasses of brandy, and the rich scent of cigar tobacco that develops over years in cigar lounges.

This version is a little bit less dark and less intense than the Les Absolus d'Orient version. It's still a sophisticated and richly textured leather fragrance that balances depth and warmth with elegant precision. The leather accord is supple and luxurious, enhanced by the smokiness of woods and the sweetness of osmanthus, which lends subtle hints of apricot and floral undertones. A touch of cedarwood and musk deepens the composition, creating a warm, enveloping base. Refined yet bold, Cuir Intense is an ode to timeless leather, offering both strength and sensuality in a beautifully crafted blend. Perfect for lovers of smooth, elegant leather. 💼 In my honest opinion this is one of the best and most realistic leather accords out there. It's very photo-realistic, simply addictive. Intense leather, plain and simple! Not to sound redundant given the name, but this is easily one of the most intense and realistic leather fragrances I’ve ever tried, up there with Cuoium in terms of sheer leather intensity. As for the scent itself, it delivers exactly what it promises: an overdose of leather and tobacco. As it dries down, a subtle powdery sweetness begins to emerge. I believe the osmanthus and sandalwood help smooth out the composition in the later stages. That said, if I hadn’t seen the note breakdown beforehand, my description would simply be leather, leather, and more leather. Overall, Cuir Intense is a very niche fragrance made for people with personality who genuinely enjoy leather focused scents. If you don’t like leather, that doesn’t make the fragrance bad. It simply wasn’t designed to please you. When I consider the composition, execution, quality, and price, I honestly see this fragrance as a work of art. 9.5/10

I went on a search for a leather/tobacco fragrance, which ended with me blind buying this and I couldn't be happier. To me this is the sweet spot between Ombre Leather (which I found a bit dull) and Gucci Guilty Absolute (which lacked performance and versatility). It's more pungent, slightly smokier and dirtier than Ombre Leather, but I also find it more complex and layered with a dense floral accord that adds sweet sunshine. It feels really dense and quite dry. High quality yet unfancy. Definitely a more challenging wear for a woman but I'd be seriously intrigued by the woman who wears this. As with Oud Essentiel, performance is outstanding, which I think makes the price point quite good from discounters. 1 spray is enough for a day. I still notice it on myself around bedtime. Another absolute love from the Absolus Allegoria line. 10/10. Thank you Thiery Wasser and Guerlain. P.S. the bottle is gaudy as hell with a great atomiser.

Absolutely in love with this! My SA from Guerlain first introduced it to me, knowing I enjoy bold, statement-making fragrances that truly make an entrance. Be warned: this is not for the faint of heart. Despite its power, I often wear it even on summer days, and I’ve received countless compliments. The leather note adds an edgy sophistication, while the sweet, fruity touch of osmanthus brings balance and depth. 😎 This fragrance really shines in colder weather or in cool indoor settings, making it perfect for special events. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves niche or bold statement scents. But if you prefer fresh, citrusy fragrances—which I personally don’t—you might want to stay away from this one.

By far my favorite leather fregrance. The opening gives a blast of photorealistic and elegant leather, spices and a resinous and syrupy tobacco with hints of something fruity almost like raspberry. I get it when some people say about a gasoline vibe but it faded quickly. At the same time I get a beautiful floral background and all of that together creates a luxurious complex and rich scent bubble that projects something powerful and captivating. Perfect for special occasions and cold evenings even on cool summer nights. Projection and longevity are nuclear on skin 16h+ and on clothes it lasts for days. Super value for money and amount of juice. Best leather on the market!!!

I used to think Ombre leather can teach beginners what Leather can do in a fragrance. Then one day I received a 5ml sample of this beast in my order. Absolutely mesmerising perfume artistry using leather. This is what luxury should smell like. So decadent yet versatile. The animalic notes so prominent yet so likeable even for a beginner's nose. Just for reference, I always most definitely purchase 50ml bottles. This one was only available for 125ml and I went ahead and bought this despite the size and price. For anyone looking for their first mature complex fragrance with leather, this is a great buy.

This is a pure dry, powdery bliss and exactly why we love the House of Guerlain! Prominent leather and tobacco with bunch of noble, dry, aromatic woods tied together and underscored beautifully by apricoty, balmy Osmanthus. This is exactly the type of sophistication that makes women's panties wet when their office crush walks by wearing this and they take a whiff... The dry down very much reminds me of another of my dry woody favorite gems Patchouli & Cedar of Tweed by pH Fragrances.

I just tried it out today in a shop and the reminescent pharmaceutical accords of Balsamic Liniment (Vishnevsky Ointment) which I grew up with just hit me straight away. This cream used to heal everything when I was a child, made of birch tar and castor oil, so you can imagine that it mostly worked as a repellent. This is the most fascinating perfume experience so far, no other fragrance has triggered such a deep connection yet. Simply majestical.

I am so confused with the online offerings of this! What is the difference between "Guerlain Les Absolus d'Orient Cuir Intense" and "Guerlain Absolus Allegoria Cuir Intense"? Does anybody know? The name here is just "Cuir Intense Guerlain" without any Absolu adjectives! So what is that all about? If One version is the old one, which one is it? So fucking confusing!

The First time I smelled it was not long ago, but as soon as this banger of a scent entered my nostrils I knew i was in for an absolute masterpiece, this is one of many reasons i say that guerlain is a very underrated brand, but, for many it could be difficult to wear

My favorite from the line. By the way all of them is similar among them. But this is more strong and last longer on the skin. As a woman I can say that is unisex leans a bit to male side, but to those women that don't care to very female fragrance is acceptable.

A really long lasting scent. Leather is the main charaster here, with the other ingredients giving the leather its edge. The smell of leather here could be described as opening a new expensive leather bag and sticking your head in there and sniffing. I like it!

The first sniff was overwhelming leather and I wasn't exactly sold but the drydown is BEYOND GORGEOUS. Takes a sweet and sensual turn, it feels like a different fragrance. This is a masterclass in lovely wearable Leather!

The best leather fragrance ever. Rich, dark, mysterious and complex. The performance is beyond crazy stays 16+ hours on my skin and about 3 to 4 hours of crazy projection. Highly recommended for leather lovers.

A swarthy man with gleaming teeth

This is a fragrance with an extremely dominant leather note,very strong, very projecting, and very long-lasting. The leather here feels very dry, likely because of the tobacco and cedar notes. You can sense those notes, but because the leather is so powerful and forward, they often get overshadowed and end up acting more as supporting notes. At times, all I really get from this fragrance is just straight-up leather. This is not the kind of leather you find in something like Tom Ford Ombre Leather, which I think is still quite approachable for beginners. It’s also not like Tom Ford Tuscan Leather, where the leather is balanced by a fruity, Rasberry-like sweetness. Here, the leather is much more dominant, very masculine, and completely lacks brightness. The notes list mentions osmanthus and sandalwood, but on my skin, they are barely noticeable. The scent stays very focused,dense, dry leather from start to finish. Occasionally, you might catch hints of tobacco and woody nuances, but overall, this is quite a linear fragrance with minimal transition. The strength of this fragrance lies in its intensity. If you’re a leather lover looking for something bold, sharp, and powerful with strong projection, sillage, and longevity -this is a great choice. It truly lives up to its name: Cuir Intense. Performance is excellent. On clothes or paper, it can easily last 10 to 12 hours, with the leather note remaining prominent throughout. Best suited for formal occasions, and in my opinion, more fitting for men in their 30s and above. 8.2/10

I rode horses for over 10 years. Let's just say my dad sprayed this next to the Kayalis at Sephora and the whole gourmand section was smelling like a worn-in harness for over 30 minutes. I kind of like it but I don't understand how it could ever be considered unisex. This is a masculine fragrance in my eyes. This is a photorealistic smell of what being in a polished room full of worn-in horse saddles, harnesses and general leather sports equipment worn by large animals is. If I ever had sex on the slightly rugged mosaic floor of that little leather filled room with a man who had been riding horses all day and then cleaning their equipment, this is what I imagine he'd smell like. Hot. But not on me, ever. And maybe 2 sprays at most.

Sniffed this one at a duty free store in the Budapest Airport. I liked it - leather is my favorite note - but not as much as I like Tom Ford Tuscan Leather and its much more reasonably-priced smell-alikes (hello, Rasasi!). I can still smell it on the paper strip 24 hours later - so that's good. I dared not wear it on the plane; too close quarters. It's a good quality leather scent, but given the high price... nah.

It’s the deep, dark and smoky leather scent with a bunch of lovely fresh spices. It’s softened with some powdery notes (iris or maybe it’s just osmanthus??). It’s on the edge to be animalic, but it’s still very clean and even creamy. Beautiful creation! My ig: scent.guide

Wow this is sexy! First spray at the counter and I was addicted immediately. Smells like a man’s leather jacket that has some remnants of an indistinguishable aftershave. Wears like a comforting hug. Lasts for eternity. I’ve been craving this since I’ve first smelt it.

Does it smell good? Yes, but. But, it is super linear. I use it as a base. Its potent and lasts for days. It is industrial leather good to wear if you own a nice leather jacket. It will highlight that leatherines of your leather jacket.

Definitely not suitable for a blind-buy. It is a great leather review but it is very tiring on the nose. The only people who really deserve to wear this perfume are those who ride horses on leather saddles.

smells like nail gritty polish

Ok. I am writing this short review with extreme dissapointmnet... Judging by the notes this should've been everything that I ask for in a frag, howver sadly ot is far from it. Let me elaborate. This beast starts with a chemical punch of something heavy- maybe smoke, maybe a strong musk note, I don't know. There isn't any leather here. None. There's just this cloud of artificial smoke. Soon aftwr that the osmantus comes into play and there's this strange somewhat fruity smell to soothe the smell a bit. In the drydown there's some tobacco, but it smothered under a cloud of synthetic musks/smoke and whatnot. The end result- a nasty concoction which smells cheap and chemically. If someone told me this is a Al Haramain/Rasasi, etc( cheaper arabic frags), I would've believed him. Nothing about this smells like a Guerlain. 😩 Longevity- very long lasting. And I do mean very. Easily 10 hrs on skin days on fabric. I personally can detect it on skin even after 20 hrs or so. Projects like a mf too. Super strong, almost obnoxious in the first 3 hrs, the dies down abit, but super potent. For whom it is? Tilts all the way ro the masculine side of the spectrum. 35 years of age and up. I perdonally can't see it on a woman. Seasons- cold weather. Deep winter, snow, chimneys... That type of thing. Occasions- formal mostly. Suit and tie event. Evening wear. In conclusion- it sucks. Super weird, chemically, cheap smellong. Almost repulsive. Does not smell like a Guerlain at all. Strong performance. Strong sillage. Rather masculine. Evening wear, black tue events. Very formal. Not worth the price. 1/10 absolutely repulsive. Someone could have told me that it's a *insert-random-cheap-arabic-brand* and would have believed him. A complete dud.

I tested this from the 7.5 ml dabber miniature. The first minute honestly smelled like petrol or gasoline! Not in a bad way, just unexpectedly industrial. If I had judged the fragrance right there, I would have completely misunderstood it. Within a couple of minutes that disappeared and I got an animalic leather. Fortunately, this phase was quite short on my skin. Around the 10-minute mark, most of the animalic edge had already faded. From there, the fragrance became more and more interesting. The leather slowly started integrating with a dry tobacco accord. By around 20–30 minutes, I couldn't really think of them as separate anymore. If I had to describe the fragrance in one sentence, it would be: A tobacco–leather accord suspended in a warm amber aura. The supporting notes are beautifully blended. I don't smell individual florals or woods, but rather an overall amber-like warmth surrounding the leather and tobacco. As it settles further, the dryness reduces noticeably and a faint fruity sweetness appears in the background. It never becomes fruity as such—it just softens the composition. What impressed me most wasn't any individual note, but the evolution. The fragrance doesn't constantly introduce new accords. Instead, it keeps changing the character of the leather. On my skin it went something like this: Petrol → Animalic leather → Refined leather → Dry tobacco-leather → Warm ambered tobacco-leather with a subtle fruity glow. I can understand why some people dislike the opening, but I also think many of them probably never waited for the fragrance to become what it was trying to be. 9.5/10 -- a must have for either a leather or tobacco lovers! It beautifully combines the two!

In the dry-down, notes of sandalwood, tobacco, and cedar emerge, adding a creamy, smoky, and subtly sweet finish. These base notes round out the composition with a sense of depth and balance. Cuir Intense presents itself as a multi-faceted leather fragrance. It is unisex, but decisively leaning masculine with a clear progression from bold to refined. Though I’ve only sampled it a handful of times, its high quality aligns well with the rest of the Absolus Allegoria line. Very good price at discounters!

this is not a light easy leather scent- it's thick, dark, rubbery, an unapologetic leather. reminds me of berlin, dark rooms; if you like fragrances in the realm of black affagano you'll like this. commands attention, you gotta be bold to pull this off. i dont normally reach for something this thick and dark but I do spray it on all my winter jackets and I swear you can smell it for months- its also a great layering scent to really thicken up a base. if you want something easier wearing I'd recommend the TF leathers

A very realistic smell of actual leather. It is an amazing interpretation of leather by the perfumer. It's one of the easiest going leather fragrances/least animalic leather fragrances. It smells super luxurious and it's notes all work together towards the same scent. An excellent choice for those who are currently in search of leather fragrances as begginers. Not that people used to leather won't love it as well, because they will but since it's animalic side is toned down it's an excellent leather to begin with.

This is extremely leather forward with some warmer sweetish undernotes, probably the osmanthus. However, the leather in this fragrance is so strong, my God, it smells like a leather bag or belt straight from the factory or a leather items factory. It is smoky as well, that's probably the tobacco. Leaning too masculine for me but it's not a bad fragrance at all, the sweeter notes are lovely. I can see people who like niche perfumes being attracted to this kind of smell.

This one is pretty a-ma-zing. Perhaps the most authentic leather scent on the market, even if a little heavy on the norlimbanol (woody-oudy aroma chemical). Great alone, but fantastic layered with other fragrances -specially classic sweet orientals (Shalimar Parfum, Habit Rouge Parfum, Samsara Eau de Parfum) and iris or violet scents (L'Heure Bleue Eau de Parfum, Iris Poudre Eau de Parfum, Iris de Nuit Eau de Parfum).

Every now and again I love a good leather note. Somehow it's like fresh coffee beans in the morning. This is excellent, reminds me a bit of cobra and the canary style leather. i think this perfume might be a good one to layer with somehting a bit sweeter or citrus to make it more lady wearable. Maybe a nice oriental rose. Loving this today! Like a good quality leather bag or shoe.

I managed to snag a bottle from a respected online retailer for £75. I think they had made a mistake, as all the other Absolus were reduced to £115. I adore it. However, I wish they hadn't spoiled their masterpiece by using a cheap lightweight plastic cap. My Qaa'ed cost me £12 and change, yet its lid is weighty and clicks into place with a satisfying clunk.
