Fève Gourmande

Fève Gourmande (Store test, Guerlain Boutique Thailand) I was on a quest for my first guerlain. I know, I was looking more popular scent. (SDV, Tonka, Angelie, Neroli) My closest one is Neroli Outrenoir. But it is not quite right. I sam a few more. Santal Pao Rosa, Bois d Amande. Neroli pue sud. Iris Toraffie last feve gourmand. (Jasmine too). Feve gourmand got me with very beautiful Chocolate opening, however the scent turn undescribeable, I was thinking yeah another miss for me. But, Feve Gourmand when it reach final dry down around 1 hours post wear. This speaks to me. It is becomes vanilla powdery with chocolate nuance, mild rose support and dominant patchouli. It is very high scale feel that any of my fragrance can not give. It is not strong, most skin scent. But this speak to me. Let’s see a few more. If you are still walking this way, You’ will be first mon guerlain. If my idea is correct, Iris Toraffie and Bois d’ amande will also pass too. ===== Fève Gourmande Guerlain "Olfactive of French Chocolate Box" I personally think that Fève Gourmande is very romantic scent. This is modern-amber base fragrance, Guerlain aesthetic but in another direction. As scent first blast, It is very amber your could feel the sweetness creep in. Sudden, Slight waxy feel similar to the way you peel the plastic warp of the box. You start to open the box of confetti. It greeting you with milk chocolate scent. Bitter dark tea replicas the texture of chocolate, while Milk Vanilla and Powdery Tonka create test of chocolate. Dopamine take over as rose ambient buzz out. hazy. Red Velvet, like one of those valentine chocolate ad. Your eyes glaze over as the box of chocolate is assorted. colorful, eye-candy. You don't know what to choose. you pick one of them, it seems you bite into Liquor filled one. so Intoxicatingly tasty, you feel you should stop now but so tempted. You can't resist the temptation, you go for another one. This time you get Hazelnut one. Crunchy, Nutty. You lose control over yourself now and keep on going, slip your mind. It just a pleasure enjoyment. The box is now empty, you ate all chocolates. It left you with white chocolate card box. No more chocolate left. Like a texture of white powder. but you could still sniff a chocolate aroma That linger, as it left the chocolate tail over classic white vanilla-tonka in Guerlain manner. Patchouli start to show. it is now turn to a classic Guerlain perfume. But it leaves you the tails of chocolate, like a trace of chocolate in your mouth. Wait for you to intrigue again. ... Feve Gourmand, Predominantly by modern amber, use Bitter tea note to make a classic vanilla / Tonka. Feel darker more full body. I believe this uterlize vetiver to certain degrees however in this, feel clean so I think it syn. vetiver. Rose add red ambient, and somehow I pick up trace of Ylang-Ylang in clean manner in this when dry down. Maybe, add a body to a scent. The Patchouli is clean and it leaves nice skin scent on your skin. I don't think scent is gone easily.. this go quite heavy on modern amber however your nose might just get use to it. It leaves nice skin scent when dry-down. Feve Gourmand by Guerlain, base on slight more on Imaginary Interpretation. If you looking for another direction, more like real interpretation of Chocolate. I am highly suggest Melt my Heart - Orris Cake with strong Smoke Guaiacol, barely sweet.

Sampling Guerlain Feve Gourmande, released in 2023 as the updated name for Gourmand Coquin as part of the L’Art & La Matiere collection, essentially, and even though I am familiar with and love Gourmand Coquin, I was curious to see if there were any differences, so I bought a sample of Feve Gourmande. Overall, it’s very similar, its sweet and spicy blend of chocolate, rose, rum, spice, vanilla providing a pretty sensational experience and a gourmand lover’s dream, the rose playing very effectively off of the sweet (but not too sweet), spicy, boozy blend of gourmand notes. It’s really a stunner, and I’m quite delighted that this new rendition smells pretty much identical to its earlier incarnation, which is great, as most of us despise reformulations, the least desirable form of change. My only guess, without yet doing a side-by-side, is that the opening of Feve Gourmande is ever so slightly less spicy/sharp than the opening of Gourmand Coquin, but that’s not a huge concern, that initial bite. Feve Gourmande is EDP concentration and is sold in the US via the house website as well as department stores like Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue, with retail pricing of $425 for 100ml, which is quite pricey, but not a gigantic leap from $275 for 75ml, which I recall being the pricing in the late 2010s. Still, the 100ml-only size offering is limiting, so you’d really have to love and frequently wear this in order to even consider buying it. In conclusion, though, I love it and it’s pretty much the same as exceptional Gourmand Coquin., 9 out of 10

After a few tests of this fragrance I think that I can now make a proper review of it. SCENT: This is a very nice light chocolate scent, imagine the scent of a smore with a stronger more prominent graham cracker, a lighter marshmallow backing it up for sweetness, and some warm chocolate, you can almost differentiate every note when you first spray it on, and while it starts to mature on the skin you get a faint rose note that really compliments the chocolate and also smooths everything out, leaving you with a light creamy marshmellow with a light chocolate note. LONGEVITY: For me the longevity is 4-5 hours with 1-2 sprays (Then again I they were both on my arm which could have rubbed off) so I would do at least 4-5 sprays. SILLAGE: This doesn't really project that much, definitely wouldn't fill a room but people near you will defineitly smell you if you wear enough of it. RATING: After considering all of this I give this fragrance a strong 9.5/10, this is probably the best scent I have smelt this year, what it doesn't have in sillage and longevity it makes up for in scent, I'd say that the 200ml is more worth it and if you can find a tester usually they go for $400 so that's pretty affordable considering the price per ml, this would be a great signature scent and could even be a daily if you wanted, I will be purchasing this soon.

The Gourmand to defeat all gourmands. This makes you want to sell off half your collection just to ensure bottles upon back up bottles. I cannot stop smelling myself whenever i wear this. I thought the cacao would be the star of the show based on the reviews, but it’s actually the rum. This is the most accurate rum note that I’ve come across- it reminds you of that deep, dark sweet Caribbean rum; not too boozy and synthetic as I find with many niche rum notes. I don’t understand how any gourmand lover can hate on this- you literally smell like a boozy sweet rum dusted with the finest earthy cacao powder. The cacao is sweet and floral- it’s definitely NOT a generic milk-chocolate or chocolate “cakey” note. The tea and spice notes gorgeously settle in after the 2 hour mark. I was concerned about performance, but I still smell this about 8 hours later. I haven’t come across anything like Feve Gorumande. The closest thing I can think of is if you were to replace the fig note in Gris Charnel with spiced rum. One of the few niche scents that I would rate worthy of the retail price tag (though Guerlain is not niche by definition I consider their craftsmanship to punch above niche). Feve is so special that I actually plan to treat myself and personalize my next bottle with Guerlain.

Wearing this today—perfect for a snowy, cold day. I'll start by saying I've never smelled Gourmand Coquin so I can't compare. Although I do think "Gourmand Coquin" is a prettier name. The scent itself is super elegant and nicely balanced...what an opening! You get an initial blast of dark cocoa, that creamy Guerlain vanilla and a touch of spices (mostly nutmeg, some cinnamon). It reminds me of a holiday rum cake. I also get a very faint hint of smoke which keeps it from getting all-too cloying. About ten minutes in, a soft powdery rose peeks through. I like powdery rose so for me this was a nice addition. I will say, the rose is ghost-like, virtually undetectable. But it has its function—taking the composition from a dessert to an actual perfume. Not really picking up the patchouli note so don't let that scare you. The only thing that keeps me on the fence is the tea note. I'm not a fan of tea in my scents. Overall, it's pretty. I'll finish the sample for sure but as of now, it's not FB worthy. Edit: After having worn this a few days, I can honestly say that the late dry down stage is my favorite part of FG. A nice haze of tonka, musk and dry cocoa powder. I flew through my samples. If it weren't for the ridiculous prices and large sizes, I'd buy a bottle.

Impressions over time: The first time I tried this, the opening hit really cinnamon. The second time, it started out strongly cacao. (It was colder. Maybe that's the difference?) Nonetheless, it's dark and chocolatey and rich and a little earthy. For the first ten minutes, I get cacao and spices, including cinnamon, which I'm really sensitive to. Perfumer's rum is also prominent. After fifteen minutes, it's still cacao, but there's a little bit of patchouli, or maybe tea, something dirty. Half an hour in, the chocolate and rum are fading, and the patchouli and tea are coming into the forefront. After a couple of hours, the cacao is still detectable, but it has equal billing with a not-too-filthy patchouli; it's linear after that. 12 hours later it's basically down to skin, but still there. I love the first hour of this, although my spouse does not. This is in no way a milk chocolate smell—we're talking 90% cacao, rum with cinnamon stick garnishes, and bodies slightly sweaty from the dance floor. I really wish that first block of slightly dirtied chocolate stayed around for longer, but on me it fades quite a bit. And ugh, I really do love it, but at $400 a bottle I guess there is probably another perfume out there for me. Still, I am conflicted.

So when Fève Gourmande first came out, I marked this as ‘dislike’ as my nose wasn’t ready for gourmand or sweetness of any kind. Sweet was my enemy, until I discovered premium and quality notes. Turns out I’m just a gourmand snob. A prime example of a loud and shouty version of Fève Gourmande is Arabian Oud’s Resala, which smacks you in the face with cacao and vanilla sharpness. Another bad example is Coco Musk, which screamed at me until my head hurt. I just got burned by nasty gourmands. Fève Gourmande is a refined gourmand that’s unsweet, dry and powdery - it’s the dark chocolate end of the confectionery spectrum. Fève Gourmande is dusted dark chocolate powder on a warm amber base with red rose petals and transcendent loose face powder. I don’t get the rum or any booze on my skin. I like that the base is a feminine makeup style loose face powder scent as it lightens with heaviness that chocolate often brings. To describe this way too simplistically, it’s like you dusted some premium cocoa powder into your luxury loose face powder. And I find this to be a divine mix of scents. The downside: longevity isn’t great. For the first hour I smell incredible but then it slowly fades and after 4 hours I think it’s gone. I still adore it though.

Okay but let’s talk about that chocolate note for a second—because not all gourmands are created equal. Guerlain Fève Gourmande? She’s not your average sugar rush. This is a full-on decadent chocolate–rum fantasy: rich, boozy, and dressed to the nines. Think molten cacao with a velvet blazer and a glass of something expensive in hand. It’s miles more refined than Montale Chocolate Greedy, which—don’t get me wrong—is fun, but leans more straight-up dessert counter than haute patisserie. And then... Serge Lutens Écrin de Fumée enters the chat and just casually raises the bar. Now we’re in deeper, smokier territory—less edible, more enigmatic. The sweetness is still there, but it’s wrapped in this sultry haze that feels almost intellectual. Like, this is chocolate that reads philosophy and disappears into a cloud of incense. So yeah—Fève Gourmande is indulgent, elevated, and gorgeous. But Écrin de Fumée? That’s where things get interesting.

Guerlain Feve Gourmand is similar to the original Gourmand Coquin in my opinion but projects a little more. Beautifully balanced chocolate that’s not nauseating, made with cocoa butter oil and sugar with rose jam smeared on top. The rum in this is subtle, as if the chocolate was on the fire melting and some splashes were added. Some nutmeg sprinkled in too. The cooled chocolate afterwards is what this is. The texture doesn’t feel like an extremely hard chocolate bar. The texture is more of a solid but still moldable and chewy form of chocolate. There is also a dried fruit tobacco kind of light smoky, sweetness in here that I’m loving. I can maybe sneak this into all of spring and fall because the rose is just as present to me, mellowing the chocolate. Tribeca is deeper so that will remain as for late fall and all of winter. We'll see, this may become boozier with time, so I may just wear it when it's cool only.

Feve Gourmande reminds me of ruby chocolate; a pink aroma with notes of red berries combined with a slight tangy tartness. It also carries a delicate sweetness and creamy cocoa scent like traditional milk Belgian chocolates that are mellow but unmistakably rich. I’m literally addicted to this scent. It’s mouthwatering and indulgent where it evokes the feelings of warmth and pleasure. Feve Gourmande is not a beast mode however your presence will be known and you will create the most delicious memorable aura. I own both FG and Gourmand Coquin and to my nose GC is boozier, spicer, rosier, with softer chocolate nuances- even though they are like 98% the same. I personally prefer Feve Gourmande. Older juice does not always mean better imho. Feve Gourmande is definitely back up bottle approved! One of my top 10 fragrances for life!

I first tested this scent on paper, which again, just didn't do it justice at all. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. Too sweet, very spicy and that was about it. Likeable, but more as an ambient scent, not a perfume. Fortunately, I tested it on skin today and now I got a cacao blast, complimenting spices, distant smoke, very light-hearted, not suffocating and the aroma of rum. The chocolate quietens down after a while, doesn't stick out too much anymore in the drydown. It's an altogether elegant, delicious gourmand. It's like Shalimar's sister, who instead of Vanilla turned chocolate. They're not twins, but close family. Fève Gourmande is less complex and less bold, but still beautiful. I went from "this is ok" to "I love". Now I'm dreaming of a Shalimar flanker with a prominent chocolate note, though. <3

Quick take on Gourmande Coquin vs. Feve Gourmande. Feve Gourmande is the winner here (which I hate to admit after spending a considerable amount of time tracking down a reasonably priced bottle of GC). FG and GC are obviously the same fragrance however, FG feels more modern and airy whereas GC feels more vintage and tight. The airiness in FG really allows the notes to open up and create a warm glowy effect with a gorgeous sillage. The tightness of Gourmand Coquin makes it feel more dense and strong, but the notes don't open up as much which makes it less enjoyable on the skin; the cacao note is also noticeably more powdery in GC. If you are a collector that wants a piece of Guerlain history, then GC makes total sense. Otherwise you're mot missing much going with a bottle of FG.

delphine jelk has done it again! i might as well just hand over my bank details at this point. feve gourmande was an instant buy after i tried my sample. it smells just like a rich, sugary, chocolate-covered piece of turkish delight, with a subtle warm spiciness and smokiness. to me, it's not an edible gourmand - i tend to dislike those and wear tired of them very quickly - this reaches a perfect balance between food and perfume. the longevity is fine on me, 6 hours on skin or so; i guess compared to the other l'art et la matiere fragrances i've tried, this is on the shorter side. it doesn't project much either but i think it suits the perfume perfectly - it's a cosy, comforting scent, one for a romantic night in surrounded by candles. just my cup of tea. 10/10

Listen, call me a novice, call me uncultured, but I have had a sample of both Feve Gourmande and Gourmande Coquin and I cannot tell any discernible difference. Honestly I don’t care what you call me, as long as I am DOUSED in either one of these fragrances. It is out of this world good. Obviously you need to enjoy a gourmand, but it’s so much more than that. The dry cocoa and subtle spice to this is heavenly. Guerlain can do no wrong. I just bought a FB of FG, and honestly might spring for a bee bottle of GC on Mercari because I can’t see a time when I won’t want to be smothered in this. *Just noticiced Jassca99’s review below mine and theirs is SUPER accurate in a way I could not articulate. Mostly because I am drunk on smelling this frag on myself.*

I find the first hour or so of this scent to be a bit of a slog. It has an aggressive chocolate note similar to the monstrous screech of Parfumerie Générale's Musc Maori, a plasticky, kinderesque milk chocolate similacrum, coupled with a loud, sweet burst of unidentifiable floral chemicals. Once the patchouli starts to take hold and the desperate, needy opening fanfare dies down, it becomes interesting. It's a choco-patch treat which performs well and smells expensive. However, the opening is so challenging to me I'm not sure if it's worth suffering the ordeal of the first phase. In this respect it reminds me of Lilac Love and Love Tuberose, insofar as it takes an hour before I find it wearable, but then I really love it.

This smells just like Mexican hot chocolate! Dusty unsweetened cocoa powder with cinnamon and chili powder to warm you up. There’s a lightly smokey rose in the background and some chocolate cakey patchouli on the dry down. I get a lot of incense when I wear it on the skin. This is masterfully executed, a “non gourmand gourmand”. It has a mature feel for sure - this is for grown people (and at that price it sure should be!). It leans feminine to me, but I think a guy could pull it off. Quite an interesting and pleasing scent. Edit: the longevity on this is eternal for me. I sprayed it on my arm last evening (to be fair, a generous amount of sprays), and it is still there this morning! The sillage is moderate all day.

I got my bottle over week ago! I own both the bee bottle and FG. There’s no difference - it’s an absolute beauty of rum, dry brittle chocolate and rose. The smoky tea aspects and patch are all dissolved in the semi-sweet chocolate. * Love Delphine Jelk’s style and approach to recent Guerlain creations. Her Iris Torreffie is an absolute gem rumored to be taken out off the US market. Her take on jasmine adding fun strawberry notes is brilliant and approachable even by non-jasmine lovers. Ms Jelk is a VERY talented and special perfumer. * We all know it was Christine Nagel who created Gourmand Coquin. Ms Jelk’s name as a signing perfumer is just a technicality: after all Guerlain had her re-create this treasure.

A masterpiece scent! Deep, sweet, chocolate rum and patchouli on my skin. The smoke and rose nuances are there, but only for support. I rarely enjoy patchouli, but here it’s exquisite. It’s incredibly well balanced. I would not describe this as powdery, but it definitely has a dry texture. In the deep dry down, this develops some creaminess on my skin. It’s the most luxurious 70% cacao dark chocolate. My only issue with Feve Gourmand is the performance. Unfortunately, this sits extremely close to the skin. Even with over spraying, it’s a skin scent within a couple hours. I appreciate lighter scents, but this is too soft. I get around 6 hours of wear, I only wish it had better protection.

An intoxicating blend reminiscent of a high-quality cookie - or perhaps even a pastry? Either way, as a lover of gourmands, I think this is easily one of the best out there. I don't like to throw the word "perfect" around lightly, but really, this is about as perfect as any combination of the listed notes can go. Beautifully blended, and high quality, as one would expect of Guerlain. One of my favourite fragrances, period. Very happy to have a bottle. Anybody after a deep, comforting and delicious chocolatey scent should get their nose on this. Projects well for the first couple of hours, and though it certainly does calm down, it can last over 12 hours on my skin depending on sprays.

like others it reminds me of spiced/Mexican hot chocolate, and perhaps using cinnamon sticks as incense as it evolves. its rose and tea notes are present but delicate, mostly lingering on my clothes. it's full bottle worthy for me in a way i cannot quantify - just so warm and luxurious. i live in a cooler climate where i wear day or night...too strong for summer, and not the right vibe for spring imo. longevity-wise it usually lasts me a full work day (about 7-8 hours). sillage is moderate as i prefer, but of course does not appeal to all. i'd say it leans feminine but i'd actually consider it unisex for the right dude, it smells great on my brother.

Ohh! This perfume definitely stands out. It has the character. What I smell first is cocoa or chocolate powder mixed with light alcohol notes, within several minutes it turns to more boozy side and still continues to be round and well balanced. In the base reminds me of tonka beans mixed with alcohol notes (probably rum). Very elegant and quite delicate fragrance. I do not detect neither rose nor patchouli. It plays on my skin during the day, becoming more sweet and then more sour with alcohol notes. The longevity is 8+ hours on my skin . Sillage is moderate . For me this is a unisex fragrance. Can be a signature scent in my opinion.

This is an absolutely gorgeous scent and I ended up buying a full size bottle. The most prominent notes I get are cocoa, rum and a very soft, jammy rose. I’m really not keen on rose scents so was unsure if like this, but I love it! It isn’t a flowery rose, it’s a type sugary rose. I get faint hints of spices and smoke in the background which balances it perfectly. I definitely don’t get any patchouli or tea. I can see why so many love this. This is very easy to wear. It’s definitely sexy and sophisticated! I’d personally wear this all year round. It’s a 10/10 stunning fragrance, and a new favourite for me!

At first you may think, yes, OK this is a cute, delicious scent but nothing extraordinary. However when you wear it, over the course of the day you might, like me, start to notice what sets this apart from the average gourmand. The richness, complexity and delicacy of the balance is astounding, and it becomes creamy and enveloping. I must say I don't get any rum from this, and on my skin there is a shit-ton of vanilla, but it's fine by me as it's beautiful. The cacao comes and goes, and the fragrance oscillates between buttery cream and dry, bitter, sometimes fruity chocolate.

I love this so much. It's very sexy and intoxicating. When I first got this, this is smokey on my skin for 1-2 hours. A very hypnotic and sexy smokiness. This is the first fragrance in which I appreciate smokiness. I also do drink cacao daily and the cacao powder to this is very rich and opulent. This lasts all day long on my skin and longer on clothes. When I spray this on my clothes, there is no smokiness at all, which is what I prefer. Delicious, sexy, intoxicating, seductive and very addictive. I have back up bottles already, just in case.

Lovely fragrance, however after testing a sample I wish I felt different. I was ecstatic about this new addition to the collection and was almost ready to buy a bottle. It doesn’t work well on my skin once again as SDV. I guess it is just blend preference. I can see how it might be magical on someone with the right chemistry for the fragrance. Definitely unisex. The rum is most obvious for the first half an hour or even a little longer. Do not blind buy if you can resist the urge. Cold weather suits best for this one imho.

I received this as a birthday/Christmas gift from my hubby. I absolutely love it! It lasts all day on my skin and if sprayed on my clothes I can still smell it the next day. This is a beautiful spicy sweet chocolate rum drink. Well blended and I will say I get a slight hint of smokiness but not overpowering. I cannot smell any rose, patchouli, or tea. Smells like a fancy drink you would order at an expensive restaurant. My only complaint is Guerlain doesn't have a location close to me where I can refill my custom bottle.

What makes this special is how balanced it is, the sweetness is subtle, never overwhelming, and the spiced cocoa gives it a warm sophistication. The dry down remains elegant, cozy, and irresistibly smooth, making it more than just a treat, it’s a statement of taste. That said, the price is steep, and not everyone will find the value worth it. But for those who appreciate craftsmanship and nuance in their fragrances, Fève Gourmande delivers a sensory experience that justifies the splurge - at least once. 💗

Okay, so I have worn Feve Gourmand and Gourmand Coquin side by side on each arm mulitple times. The opening is 1 million percent different. GC smells richer, dense and more like dark chocolate. FG is like a dusty cocoa powder like dutch processed cocoa. I also asked family members to confirm this and they agree. Now the dry down is almost identical. So much so, you won't notice the difference. I look forward to seeing FG change as it matures. I don't think the opening will ever be as good as GC though.

Initial spray is like a dry dessert with cocoa - something sweet, but a bit dry, well-balanced. When it dries down it smells like a high end version of the Palmers cocoa butter..in the most incredible way. I dislike gourmand and cacao notes but THIS IS SOME INCREDIBLE STUFF. Just wow. I could smell this for hours and it was so, so wonderful. Beautifully done gourmand that doesn't smell like food, that doesn't smell cheap and headache-inducing. I wish they would make it in 50ml bottles!

I’ve never smelled the original GC, but I recently acquired the new FG. This DOES have lasting power and some projection, it’s not a beast but it’s there for sure. It’s absolutely delicious. I’m very happy to have this in my collection. I’m pretty much getting all the notes, but there’s no note of rum here even tho I smell something boozy...but it’s listed in the original so I’m not to sure of the notes listed are exact or how similar it is to the original. Regardless I’m loving it.

This new release smells every bit like its gorgeous, smoky cacao-infused predecessor. I own the original bottle, the Bee Bottle purchased last year from Place Vendome and this latest stunner. Apart from the obvious depth and richness acquired through the natural process of maceration, the three fumes smell nearly identical. If in doubt, I highly recommend getting your hands on a sample or decant. Folks in the States can sample this collection at Neiman Marcus stores.

Well, my bottle arrived today and I’m happy to report that, to me, Feve Gourmand is just how I remember Gourmand Coquin smelling. I cannot speak for the longevity yet, but I am very pleased. It is sweet but not sickly sweet. The color is beautiful. I see a larger bottle with the expensive frog on it in my future. My sister stole My bottle of GC years ago and when it was discontinued, I was upset. Now, let’s hope Iris Ganache is next on Guerlain’s re- release list

Once you start smelling Gurlain fragrances it’s very hard to take other fragrance brands seriously. This perfume is kind of a category killer for gourmands. There will never be another more aristocratic smelling biscuit. It’s definitely a perfume you wear for yourself and for your enjoyment, I don’t know what it would make other people think of you. I don’t get any chocolate from this, I just get a dry crumbly biscuit. This probably layers very well.

This is a beautiful scent! It’s my current favourite from the L’Art & La Matière collection. Fève Gourmande is much more complex than just booze and cacao. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of spice within this fragrance and I definitely pick up the smoking tea accord as well as the rose note. Overall this a fairly unique scent with great quality and depth. It’s not a simple cacao fragrance so definitely sample first but it’s a love for me.

This is how you do a sensual Cocoa fragrance. The cocoa is dry not milky, not chocolatey, not sweet. You can feel the dustiness. The spices make it, well, “spicy”. Keeps it in the middle. Never lets the fragrance fly away from its base. It’s masterfully blended. I’ve smelled many “chocolate highlighted” fragrances, but not one compares to feve gourmand. In full disclosure, I don’t think very few do fragrance like Guerlain.

STUNNING. I’m so picky, and this somehow reminds me of Navitus Venom of Love, even though there is seemingly no cherry or vanilla? I would absolutely invest in this over Venom of Love, it smells sexy, sensual, and rich. Totally femme fatale. I bought this a few hours after sampling and do not regret it. Cold weather scent and maybe is a little overpriced, but it’s going to last me a long time and I got so many compliments.

I’m on my 2nd sample vial of this and I like it more each time I try it! It’s definitely a cozy, warm winter scent to me, so maybe next winter I’ll splurge on a full bottle. I’m very surprised it has patchouli, I usually stay far away from patchouli, but it blends well with the other notes in this. In the meantime I’m enjoying Spiritueuse Double Vanilla layered with Joyeuse Tubereuse. Guerlain fragrances are oh so lovely!

I don’t know where I’ve heard or read that this smells like Mexican hot chocolate, I agree. It smells like the powdered La Abuelita hot chocolate packets. Lightly spiced powdery chocolate . I do detect some rum, but it’s very subtle .I need this asap. It’s just a whole mood for me for winter since abuelita is all drink in winter lol so good. I just don’t know if I can ever buy a full bottle because the price is insane.

Everytime I buy a Guerlain's perfume I end up regretting that I did not buy Fève gourmande instead. It's so well done. It is an incredible blend of rich cacao and rhum, the rest is here to enhance those two notes. It does not even smell like a cake or something you eat, it's smell luxurious and warm, like an old liquor from some rich dude's collection. On skin it's a complex scent, with a dry down to die for.

So beautiful! Fève Gourmande is a refined chocolate whose shell is made of spicy dark chocolate and whose heart contains delicately sweet, vanilla and liquorous rose. This is the work of an artisan chocolatier, careful, fine, delicious, we don't fall at all into the 'too sweet, too gourmand'. The final result is a warm, elegant and above all irresistible fragrance. Unfortunately, the price is very steep...

The 20 thumbs down to the "reminds me of" (Gourmand Coquin) are even more amusing now that we know the perfumer has stated it's the EXACT same formulation. Anyway this is a beautiful perfume (love how the spices keep it from being too sweet), but I'm really disappointed in the performance. It only hung in there for a couple hours. A stark contrast to Guerlains new extraits which are eternal with one spray.

The cacao was so strong at first that it felt like being struck in the face with boozy cocoa powder, but then I start smelling a somewhat jammy, smoky rose in the background. The patchouli is noticeable but beautifully blended! Very deep and sexy, but it’s not something I’d buy blindly. An absolute masterpiece of a gourmand, though projection and longevity should be a little better for the price point.

I'm a guy and find this unisex leaning slight feminine. It's really a unique scent, don't know any other that's smells like this. It really is a lovely cacao sent that has a very light flowery bit in there. It's Christmas in a bottle. Would say it does not last that long or project much. So if your a guy,don't pay to much attention to this site saying it súper feminine.

Testing my sample; rich dark cocoa powder with a spicy rum liqueur note, overall smells like boozy dark hot cocoa, very nice. Gets smokier and a touch rosy as it settles on my skin, and feels much stronger, it really sticks to the skin. This is a great cold weather fragrance, definitely X-mas holiday themed. Definitely sample worthy, I'd go for a full bottle of this.

UGHHHHH I am obsessed with this perfume. I got it as a sample with another Guerlain order. So soft and sexy. Sweet like chocolate, not like candy. A smell that inspires confidence, opulence and grace. My first compliment on this scent was from a server who didn't even get near me. It's not offensively strong but it does gently permeate into the surrounding area.

Very overwhelmingly chocolate opening, which subdues quickly into a balanced fragrance. Not overly sweet, which I like. When I smelled it on paper I didn't like it very much, but it's very nice when sprayed on skin. The chocolate fades away more over time and when worn for longer it turns more powdery and it kind of reminds me of baby powder, but in a good way.

I blind bought a sample of this because of the notes and I did not go wrong with it. It is just what I was looking for - a balanced not overly sweet gourmand that does not cause a headache. Not the best performance which is great because it would have been overvelming if it were stronger. Smells like the most delicious milk chocolate that you will ever eat.

This makes me think of a warm chocolate biscuit type cookie. Like it's nearly going in the gingerbread territory, but it isn't there yet. This is probably my second favorite fragrance ever. But of the fragrances I can name, it is prooobably my favorite. I am still on the search for a specific fragrance that I smelled on someone but never got the name of.

The debate is over. I just watched an interview with Thierry Wasser from Guerlain where he stated that the formula for Feve Gourmand is EXACTLY the same as Gourmand Coquin.
