La Petite Robe Noire Eau de Parfum So Frenchy

It's like all the notes I like have been crammed in to a perfume just for me. The cherry feels cozy to me, it's warm almost like a pastry. I've gotten compliments on it and I really can't compare it to anything other than Black Perfecto. It's more cheerful and gentle than Black Perfecto.

For me it is exactly the same as La petite robe noire l'eau de parfum.

I agree with the reviewer below wholeheartedly. If you have LPRN, you don't need this one. If you collect this line, it's a cute bottle, but the differences are so minute. The cherry is so strong that it takes away from the smokey tea and almond, which were he notes I was hoping for. I couldn't get much of the soft spice of the rose, so that was a disappointment. But it's pretty and if this is your first purchase of this line, it's representative of 90% of the flankers. I'm a Guerlainhead, I'm anxiously awaiting my bottle of LPRN Nectar and blind bought this one in anticipation, which I knew better, but like I said ~ pretty scent, pretty bottle and I'd probably do it again. What can I say?🙃

This is my favorite of the So Frenchy trio - it makes me appreciate bergamot, which is not usually a note I like. Here, the almond, tea, and rose swirl around the bergamot, and then sweeter notes, maybe the red berries, overcome the barber shop effect. I think the number of releases under the LPRN name are all about marketing and therefore rather silly, but this is a good perfume if you like any of them, and the bottle is so fun.

I’m really confused with this one. Blind buy. First off I have not smelled any of this range. I find this quite vintage in nature (similar to the vibe the Chanel DNA gives off). This is very “perfumey” which contradicts the fruity-cherry note, so overall the fragrance becomes very powdery in nature (old lady powdery). Powdery cherry chapstick... and sometimes I get wafts of fizzy Dr. Pepper... I wish there were more reviews of this or someone in my life who I could chat fragrance with lol. But right now I don’t know how to feel... it’s like I “should” be liking it, but I don’t. Let’s see how this develops. Not sure this is appropriate for fall... when the heck can I even wear this...

This is different to the original eau de parfum. The original is somewhat lighter and like some one stated this So Frenchy edition comes closer to the Black Perfecto edp. I e-mailed Guerlain to understand once and for all if all limited editions are different to their original or just the same liquid in a limited bottle and this is their answer: Limited editions, like the So Frenchy, do have a different formulation. Therefore, I am pretty sure the fragrance was not the same as the original Eau de Parfum.

Well I don’t agree that is the same as the original. This is way more cherry dominated. I like it a lot! 🍒🍒🍒
