La Petite Robe Noire Honey Rose

Lately I've been wanting to have all the LPRN flakers, I'm a Guerlain fan and although at first I didn't pay much attention to this line because of the great resemblance it has to my favorite Lolita Lempicka from 1997 and later version Le premier Parfum. From 2020 to now, my passion for the collection has increased and I have managed to get a large part of all the releases of this enormous line, this one caught my attention a lot due to the drastic change in the notes that fragrantica declares but don't be fooled, this one (as they all) have cherry and regalis, just atomized it 10 minutes ago and I thought I might be disappointed because it is a limited edition and its price is high, from the first moment you can see that it is a flanker of the line, the DNA is there very recognizable, cherry, regalis, tonka and rose this last one is the note what makes the great diference with Lolita Lempicka, the honey that was expected by its name begins to emerge after a few minutes when the composition begins to develop after the first impression and the rose is also enhanced in such a way that it almost surpasses the honey that was expected to be more dense and animalic. (it would have been great because in the end it is a limited edition and 50ml as a larger format) but it is not like that, it is a beautiful combination of honey and rose that is sweetened with a touch of vanilla but maintains that unique and recognizable accord of the line that is certainly very intense in its opening but little by little melting and relegating itself to the background to let the rose/honey combo shine with that sweetness accentuated by vanilla. Is he a relevant flanker? I don't think so, but delicious and updated, it's worth it for collectors like me and a fan of the line and brand in general. Delphine Jelk is doing an excellent job at the Maison but let's hope that the next Le parfum flanker or next year's limited edition have a more daring twist. I can point out that I expected the color of the bottle to be quite different (it looks a little more orange or peachy in the photos) but it blends in with the others and goes unnoticed.

Guerlain read my mind with this release! I was looking for a stronger version of Stephen Cordina's Rose de Mai, which is a fresh rose with a good dose of honey but poor sillage and longevity. And just as I started looking around, I found LPRN Honey Rose... So glad I gave this a try, because I am not a big fan of most of the ither LPRN flankers. This one is different! I got the 30ml but will probably end up going for the full size soon. I love this so much. Lots of honey and a warm, beautiful rose. Somehow the result is not too sweet and just feels comforting and feminine. It's so perfect for this fall!

This is my first LPRN to ever smell and on a blotter I was underwhelmed. But when I tried it on skin, holy wow it was beautiful. I honestly could not pick out any specific notes but as a whole, I smelled feminine, sweet, and tbh, I felt quite chic. I never ever would have picked this out but I immediately bought a full bottle, along with the og LPRN edp and Black Perfecto, blind. BTW I sprayed Honey Rose on my arms at 11am and could still clearly smell it at 11pm. Beautiful. May need a back up bottle of this.

Not a huge fan of the original LPRN. Sort of 'meh'.. it really never piqued my olfactory senses nor intrigued me enough into purchasing a bottle. With that said, this is a great flanker on my skin and to my nose. I can be quite picky with any honey-forward fragrances. The honey here (versus, for example, the bee's knees from lush) is much more delicate, much less photorealistic. Present throughout the entirety of wear but far from being center stage. It is supportive throughout whilst the real 'stars' here are the more sweet, and sometimes tart, fruit accords blended with a delicately creamy almond. Cherry dominates at the top but this dissipates after an hour or so. A soothing blend of almond milk takes the lead afterwards; the honey here exists in the sense of being melded with early morning oatmeal or cream of wheat. Slightly buttery, slightly gourmand. Semi-synthetic powdery dry down but not unpleasant. Remarkably inoffensive despite such notes tending towards a typical cloying-level of nausea. Enjoyable, feminine, a fine blend--impressed that it never turns noxious. Longevity tops at around 6-7 hours at best.. better performance on clothing (better 'smell' as well, interestingly). Rose and almond milk with droplets of honey throughout. It tickles my fancy in a truly unexpected manner! Test on skin and paper as my hunch is that this will not be universally appealing if one is more turned off by slightly nutty, slightly milky and semi-synthetic honey & rose accords.

La Petite Robe Noire Honey Rose is quite beautiful, and I'm grateful for the decant that my friend Gretta sent me, but I doubt I will track down a full bottle unless I find it at a great price. I prefer La Petite Robe Noire Black Perfecto to all the other flankers that I have tried so far (I also prefer Black Perfecto to the OG). I find it a bit odd that honey is listed do prominently--it's there, but it's not as strong as the name would suggest. I don't get as much tonka/coumarin, and what's there reads more almond than cherry. I also don't get that delightful leather note that gives Black Perfecto the sexy-biker-jacket flourish. That said, I have worn very leather-forward frags over the past couple of days, so maybe it's not jumping out at me in its more subtle presentation. I do notice a slight saltiness somehow, and I'm wondering if that's an aspect of the honey accord. It reminds me of that slightly savory "tortilla-chip" note that I discern in certain Lancôme offerings.

I must admit, I’m disappointed. I had expected to find the naturalistic honey you get in Tobacco Honey, but lighter and interlaced with lush rose. This is very much an almond, cherry. It’s pleasant, not too too powdery. Light wearing. But, at this stage, I’m struggling to get either rose or honey. Had I been able to sample this, I would have passed. Update: it’s not what I expected, but I’ve grown to really love it. More almonds and cherry than honey and rose. But the blend keeps the cherry from being syrupy and keeps the almond from becoming too powdery. -!: more floral honey comes further into the dry down. Not what I had imagined/hoped, but I’m already saving up for a back up bottle since it’s limited edition.

@Ravenz: neither on the bottle, nor on the bottom sticker. Only on the box and color of the flacon indicates it. @deed–mealier.0q: I have the same experience, on my skin almost identical to the OG. Maybe a bit between the OG and Black Perfetto EDP with a leathery undertone (and different from Absolu). No honey, little rose, still heavy on cherry. I love this line, but expected something different, more creativity (as they did with Rose Rose Rose or the Velours).

The patchouli really hits you in the opening but quickly goes away in the drydown. It is slightly sweet, slightly powdery, tart from the cherry and I do get a bit of the honey but it is not animalic or pissy at all. It's really quite nice, the patchouli in the opening just throws me off a bit. And I agree with comment below, it is quite weak and does not last.

I am trying this from a free sample. This starts as a sweet and delicious rose perfume. As it dries, the honey accord becomes more intense and thick, almost amber, with a touch of sugared almonds. The drydown is slightly powdery, very sweet, and I can smell sour and sweet cherry and rose. It is pretty 🍒🍯🌹🩷💛❤️

Lots of honey - really LOTS of honey - with just a touch of rose, and I like it! It's a thick and intense honey, quite sweet but in that golden, natural honey way, so for me, it works well. I was pleasantly surprised, because normally I’m not a fan of this line, but I quite enjoy this one.

I really like this, but to my nose it's identical to the original! Gonna have to test it out a lot more.

This was a blind buy for me, I was sold on the very few notes fragrantica listed. I'll be honest, its a bit of a question mark. On first spray I was a bit underwhelmed and thought " that's just a sharp version of the original" and then the honey came through and balanced the rose beautifully I couldn't stop smelling my wrist. Then it turned very talcum powdery and again I was completely thrown off. Im going to have to give it another go I think. On a separate note, the bottle looks like every other flanker, im not even sure it says honey rose on it, the box is nice though! 👌

While I enjoy the honey note in the opening, this perfume quickly becomes very powdery and musty like the dry-down of the original. This was a disappointing blind purchase.

smells most similar to the original LPRN compared to the recent reformulations, still stands out on its own with that honey note, also reminds me of LPRN eau fraiche with the almond note but much less bitter and more well rounded. if you hate cherry this is the LPRN flanker for you!! but if you’re blind buying expecting a bold honey fragrance prepare to be disappointed (still a beautiful fragrance) but this is pure floral! so if you love sweet powdery florals this will work. even though this dna is all over the LPRN line and even the lolita lempicka range, it’s still so alluring and unique as it’s not a basic fruity floral. LPRN are some of my favourite fragrances and i love this but it’s still a bit too similar to the whole range, maybe if this was a bit sweeter with maybe a strawberry or pear note it would stand out more? silliage and lasting power are great

i just got this & i have to say im lovin it !!! i feel its one of the better flankers :) it is a strong perfume so a little goes a long way with this one.............and its def a winter & night time scent :) im happy the honey does NOT overwhelm the scent.......its very subtle.........i do get the rose & vanilla - which is beautiful & the dry down is a warm mix of tonka bean & patchouli :) im happy to say this one is a winner for me !!!!

Can anyone confirm if it says Honey Rose anywhere on the bottle? Mine just says La Petite Robe Noire. Has the pink band on the neck and the label on the bottom says Eau de Parfum with the normal Guerlain info.

Definitely the weakest flanker of la petite robe noire. This one wears like a skin scent. You do get a LITTLE bit of the honey, but this is mostly just a rose almond scent,

looking forward to smell, by the notes sounds delicious.
