La Petite Robe Noire L'Eau Rose Eau de Parfum

This might just be my favorite iteration of La Petite Robe Noire. While I adore the original and its tart cherry signature, this flanker offers a darker, more luscious cherry - !almost! like the decadent Amarena cherries of Italy, if you’ve ever savored those. I half expect to bite into one and feel the syrupy liqueur burst on my tongue. The star turn of course is the rose. Guerlain truly knows how to conjure roses, and L’Eau Rose is no exception. The queen of flowers dances on top of the other notes, compliments them at the same time. She doesn't outshine, she makes everyone shine! The frosted glass bottle is equally enchanting, a visual prelude to the fragrance within. My only gripe, which isn't limited to just this perfume, is the plastic stopper they put on top of these amazing flasks, especially at this price point. Guerlain could learn a thing or two from Chanel here! Nevertheless, I find spraying L’Eau Rose on to be such lighthearted fun. The fragrance says Yes! to life and love and fun. I frequently get complimented for LPRN and I have no doubt, it will be the same with L'Eau. The sillage is really good in the first couple hours and the fragrance stays with you six hours easily, even though it will be more of a skin scent by the end of that time span.

I had the impression that the quality of the La Petite Robe Noire flankers had been steadily declining over the past few years, until this beauty came along. Finally again a flanker that is smooth, not overly synthetic-smelling, and that lets the notes dance, instead of clashing with each other. The tea in here is finally not bitter anymore, but it adds a calming aspect, while the licorice shines particularly delectable and sweet in the drydown. I am a fan again!

This perfume I asked a friend to bring from Cannes since it was limited and we didn't get in USA. Smells very beautiful, rose, cherry, sweet, powdery.

This version leans fresh and rosy, with a light, playful sweetness that feels fun and easy to wear. It’s not heavy or intense more like a light rose lemonade than a deep floral. It’s youthful and pretty, but also a bit predictable and safe nothing super edgy or groundbreaking.

When you think they can't do more versions of La Petite Robe Noire... Well, I must say it's a good one, I wanted to test it when I saw the licorice note that I loved in the Black Perfecto versions and made their success. I think it was a test for Guerlain, to see if their clientele is interested in alcohol free fragrances, which is becoming more and more popular, like Dior did with J'Adore. Also, La Petite Robe Noire started losing popularity a few years ago and I suppose they need to push it with limited editions. This is actually a really nice fragrance for spring, summer and first weeks of fall. It's not as overpowering as the original and the bottle is really cute. It's discontinued but I still have a sealed bottle if someone is interested

from someone who loves guerlain but doesnt care for LPRN each time guerlain associate sprays on paper, i do love and own this one! a sweet citrus rose with almonds and tonka! i dont detect cherries on my skin ( but cherries share similar notes with almonds...) nor licorice. my dry skin absorbs this nicely, but i dont feel like it boost moisture in a noticeable way. but... my dry, chemically treated hair loves this. i can sniff that beautiful rose almond as i move around. i really enjoy this.

If someone has tested it, I would love to hear an honest Review on this. Love the notes but I am not a licorice fan, so if someone could confirm if the licorice is noticable, that would be appreciated, before blind buying. This one seems so appealing, as it is based on rose-water and features mainly natural ingredients. The bottle is so pretty too! 😍

Okay, this is getting ridiculous. I'm a huge fan of Guerlain and own a couple of this line, too, but the latest flankers were basically the same thing in an almost identical bottle? It honestly feels like they release a new LPRN every month at this point. And they're sooo short lived, not even flankers, more like extremely limited editions. Ugh.

This is the same formulation technology as J'adore d'eau. So expect the same milky sans alcohol texture and performance as J’adore d’eau. I’m not the biggest fan of the lprn franchise, but I did like the absolu and this new l’eau rose might just be my favourite. It’s soft, sweet, powdery, and mellow. A beautiful skin scent for any occasion.

Actually it was Sylvaine Delacourte and Jelk was working with her on LPRN. Delacourte left to create her eponymous line of perfumes at which time Wasser (who wasn't involved with this project at the time) stepped in as well. I don't know why this website cuts Wasser out of the credits.

I feel to write this to the company.. Dear Guerlain, As much as I have enjoyed Delphine's first creations....it is time for her to mature up her talents with different notes and please bring in new perfumers to your house. Merci.

Original first LPRN was the first perfume Jelk created for Guerlain, I'm not surprised she's fond of the franchise and doesn't wanna let it go 😄 also this one has no alcohol and is formulated with rose water.
