La Petite Robe Rose Noire

This is very cute! Its funny because I wore a black dress today and matched it without meaning to. Its softer than the last few I remember, must be the leather. I can't take too juicy and fruity perfumes so this one is perfect for me. I think this could be wearable in warmer weather too. Adorable!

Wonderful rich opening but the dry-down is very powdery and similar to that of the other flankers in the Petite Robe Noire collection. Edit: after further testing, the dry-down is actually very smooth, sweet, relaxing and comforting. This may be my favourite flanker along with La Petite Robe Noire Nectar and the Intense version.

I like it. To me, it's strong. It's like they took black perfecto and mixed it with the original and threw rose in it. Not bad,

I think a man could definitely pull this off. Even though I get sitting on a leather couch wearing rose scented powder applying L’Oréal lipstick while sucking on a Luden’s cherry cough drop. It’s a bit medicinal and at the same time naughty and dirty. I like it, but not enough to buy it. I have enough rose and cherry perfumes.

This is on the airier and lighter side of La Petite Robe Noire flankers. Generally speaking, it just smells like any other of the recent flankers. A suede note is recognizable, but it is subtle and does not have as much character as the leather in the Black Perfecto versions.

This review is for LPRN eau de parfum with a check fresh date of 2023. I'm assuming it's this one since none of the other listings for 2023 seem to match the look of the bottle. The pa kage just says eau de parfum" 50ml. In any case here goes: I bought this spur of the moment at a clearance where there were no testers. I swore I'd never blind buy again and I wish I hadn't. I thought this would be safe due to it's enduring popularity but yikes. This just stinks. I am not getting what I see in listed notes. To me this just smells like a mix of medicine and cheap mens cologne. Nothing else. Usually I can find something to appreciate even if it's not my usual style but this bloody mess is irredeemable. If someone in the Toronto area wants to trade msg me. Alternatively, I'm usually in Italy every fall. I'd love to get rid of this concoction. Please someone take this off my hands, I'm begging.

WoW! this is really fantastic! It's the "dirtiest" of all the flankers. Although the opening of Absolue left me fascinated, this one does not leave me indifferent. The opening is a slightly dirty raspberry due to the pepper, when it dries down a sweet, slightly alcoholic oud is detected. The final drydown is woody with a touch of suede and earthy, always without losing the dark sweetness of raspberry in the background. I don't notice much dust here. For me, it can be completely unisex. I find it very sexy. A shame it's a limited edition, it could have belonged to the L'Art & La Matière collection. I'll have to buy some backup before it disappears. Editing to say I've been using this all week. I have a full bottle. The dry down is totally addictive patchouli with a hint of sweet oud that makes it really sexy. As I said before, although it seems more on the feminine side, in the drydown it is really so fantastic and unisex, that it is worth trying!!!

Well I love it. I'm a sucker for all LPRNs. This one is edgier. Definitely would scare someone who is more into gourmands and trendy scents. It smells very medicinal, smells like a bandaid (a lovely one, a dry one). It's beautiful. It's muskier and more rooted than the usual fizziness you get with the other flankers. More mature, decently powdery, hits you like a Chanel so I would understand someone saying it's "old lady" like, although it brings me back to childhood and feeling a summer night's breeze upon a legful of soothing-gel-plastered mosquito bites. It dries down clean, comfortable and sleepy. For sure not a safe blind buy or gift.

LPRN is the queen od ridiculous flankers. It has become a parody now, the Fast and Furious of fragrances.
