I do not buy Guerlain perfumes anymore... they are playing us for fools.. regurgitating the same stuff over and over again and putting it into new falcons and calling it limited edition bla bla bla... enough! It's Overpriced... and somehow I feel that I'm being swindled, when having to fork out so much money for something that I can get from other just as wonderful less pricey fumes. Lots of Arabian Perfume houses caters to this need for me, the quality is "niche" and pretty outstanding, without having to remortgage your house or break the bank. We all want to smell good... so stop you nonsense Guerlain!!

Why didn't they produce far more of this stuff and sell it for a few hundred, or even a thousand, dollars? It's a lovely bottle - it's probably worth a few hundred dollars alone, especially if it is refillable. Might even be worth a few thousand dollars, if that is real gold? The reported €64K, however, is clearly just some kind of totally arbitrary amount, that was plucked out of the air, on the basis of "exclusivity". Anyone who pays far too much for something, just for the knowledge that not many other people can afford it, is a (rather unpleasant) fool.

I say - Start boycotting Guerlain ! Who is giving them their profits - the normal person - Monsieur and Madame Dupont in France - Svensson - in Sweden. It is disturbing to see all the Guerlain special editions just made for the superriche. Perfume should be for everyone. I am really angry about this and now at least I am going to stop buying their perfumes - hope many of you will follow. Money talks (an most of all loss of money) and that is why I will do this !

I agree with Gatsby, this is not the type of thing that would have happened if Guerlain was still a family business; I think this is more about greed on both the parts of LVHM and possibly M. Wasser as well.

LVHM's approach to les nouveaux riches, so it doesn't have to be tasteful. Where is My Exclusive Collection? I want a real Guerlain scent.

Can ANY perfume actually be worth this much no matter the scent?? NO.
