Le Plus Beau Jour de Ma Vie

Does anyone remember a childhood scented toy doll, Strawberry Shortcake doll. For some reason, the smell of Guerlain Le Plus Beau Jour de Ma Vie always reminds me of this scented doll that I liked when I was a child. This is a fragrance with orange blossom, almond and vanilla as the theme. Reminiscent to Kilian Love Don’t be Shy, the latter is more marshmallow-ei, more artificial but and an absolutely well made gourmet fragrance. Guerlain Le Plus Beau Jour de Ma Vie has a more natural and floral scent, and distinctive top-mid-bottom-note. In addition to the listed ingredients, I can also detect anise. Suitable for use by women. Because of the sweetness, blissful and tenderness of the scent, it is good for wedding day, but the fragrance is not overly regal and luxurious, and I think it's perfect for everyday use too. I think it is overpriced. It has been discontinued now. Guerlain Hope to see Guerlain re-release Le Plus Beau Jour de Ma Vie in L'ART & LA MATIÈRE which make the price more reasonable. Several new release from the line of L'ART & LA MATIÈRE after bottle design change, such as Musc Outreblanc and Santal Pao Rosa, were extremely disappointing. Suitableo.

Yummy, delicate, Jordan Almonds with light aromatic and florals. It seems slightly honeyed and ever so slightly fruity but not an identifiable fruit just enough to round out the airy sweetness. It's not aggressively sweet or far projecting but nicely rounded and present, you smell delicate wafts and it's not thin or weak bodied. I would not use this as an every day scent but one for special days and for lift me ups. I don't use the separate screw on bulb atomizer which sucks but apply on skin directly from mouth of bottle and it makes a big difference. This perfume needs to be concentrated in a smaller area on the pulse points to blossom to the fullest. The atomizer spreads out the thinnest layers so the potency is weakened greatly and the expression was so weak the first time I used it so I took it off and just use the cap that the bottle came with. It's good to find these kind of delicate, refined, but still yummy and uplifting scents nowadays when everything is so heavy handed and too sweet. Love wish they sold it in a larger bottle.

Let me tell you the presentation is indeed charming. The perfume is 99% same as By Killian Love, just a little sweeter..... the juice is not orange color like Love, It's an angelic pink. Lasting power is excellent but silage is softer than Love. It doesn't smell like a statement perfume, you will not turn heads when wearing it... Yet there is something strangely addictive in it, I cannot stop sniffing myself. I also noticed a lot or males smiling and trying to spark a conversation with me today, the first time I've worn it. In simple words it smells like orange blossoms mixed with white chocolate, lots of powder and candied almonds. The drydown is similar to Charnel Gourmand Coquin from the same house. It is very pricey but beautiful . Many people say it isn't worth the money, can you really put a price on sheer elegance, beauty and comfort ? I personally love it and don't regret buying it... I'll just have to be stingy with that gorgeous sprayer to make it last as long as possible !

This is hands down the most beautiful, delicate and gorgeous fragrance I have ever smelled, seen and experienced. I can not find words that would do justice to this fragrance. I haven't been that impressed since I discovered my signature scent 12 years ago. Or should I say, I have never been this impressed in my life. This is worth breaking my ban on buying new fragrances, as I would like to have this perfume in my collection for the rest of my life. Along with Le Bouquet de La Mariee which will be my next purchase after this one. Hopefully. I just love it. Nedless to say that orange blossom is my favourite note which goes perfectly with my skin chemistry. What more can I say.. I'm a sucker for orange blossom and Guerlain.. Therefore I have to have this right now! It is already on its way and I couldn't be more thrilled about it. This will easily take over the throne in my collection. 💕

I love this. It's candied almond orange blossom to me. I don't get much of anything else, but I just received it yesterday and perfumes bloom after they've been worn a few times, your nose picks up different nuances, at least that's my experience. I will say that it's sweet. I can't see that fact changing with a longer wearing experience at all. But if your'e a Guerlain collector it's one you'll want in your collection. Beautiful bottle, but not a fan of the sprayer, the juice will roll back into the puff and you'll lose precious drops over time. I bought a different sprayer for it bc I don't generally display my scents. I can't wait to see how this one changes on me. Angelique Noire was just a sweet green fume until one day it just "bloomed" and wow, do I love it now. I do think Wasser is one of this generations greatest magicians with odor molecules.

I have a bee bottle and the puff atomizer bottle, lol. It's the most delicate, gorgeous, perfectly balanced orange blossom perfume for me. The angelica weaves in and out with the vanilla/almond and that really gorgeous French musk (very different from that Arabic musc that's popular right now) then blends seamlessly with the orange blossom to create a perfume confection that's not a traditional gourmand. Iris Ganache did this so well too. They're both beautiful, sweet-ish (not to be compared to the sweet of today; not jam syrup or marshmallowy) elegant, playful but still sophisticated. Ageless, this fragrance is so well balanced it never wears you, that's mark of great perfumer. Ah, I miss Wasser so, so much.

this is as delicate as it gets... marvellous. Sugar, almond and murkiness. It's slightly gourmand but this is very wearable. Id go far enough to say Angelique Noir is a classier version of this fragrance where whereas this fragrance is more on the gourmand side. Maybe this is because of the angelica? they need to rerelease this so I can buy a bottle. 9.5/10 overall! Edit: after the dry down, this just gets better and better, just as delicate. Stays close to my skin but can't stop smelling my skin. this is an easy buy if I see it on the market. Edit 2: this stays very close to the skin after 2 hours, it's still there but it's light. maybe better on clothes?

So when I read about this fragrance, I simply had to try it. So I ordered a sample and I have to admit I really like it. Not enough to pay the asking price, but it is really an enjoyable scent. Definitely a special occasion type of fragrance. The first thing that hit me was the sweetness. I do not usually enjoy super sweet fragrances (which for me this is), but it does smell absolutely divine. I get all kinds of vanilla, caramel, citrus, floral, and dare I say some kind of syrupy cotton candy. After long periods of wear I did get somewhat of a headache from the sweetness, but the scent smelled so delicious that I couldn't bear to scrub it off prematurely.

This is a yummy almond-y, marshmallow-y, orange flower dream of a perfume. It was available earlier this year in the Bee bottle @ $350, so..........if you got the money, honey, I got the time to help you use it. All joking aside, this is a lovely choice for a wedding or an everyday treat of a perfume, because scent should be enjoyed when you want to, not put aside for special occasions. I have 10 ml decant that I've almost used up, but I've enjoyed every second of it and luckily just a couple sprays lasts and projects. Who knows when your number will be called and then your family will just sell it anyway, or throw it out - so just wear it!!

I am very fond of this one. Not too sweet on me. Peppery, angelica, musk. After an hour, that slow, simmering Guerlain/vanilla scent makes itself known. Much easier for me to work thru and enjoy than a few of the very well known Guerlains. Hoping for a lottery win so I can purchase la Plus Beau Jour and 68, while they are visiting the city. This is unlikely so I will have to be thankful and make do with the decant I was generously given, by my Guerlain angel. Six months later and I still love this. Price is all that stops me from acquiring a fb.

I was lucky enough to get a decant to try and I love it! I find it to be a better, more sophisticated version of Love Don’t Be Shy. Especially when layered with Kilian Princess. The orange blossom, candied almonds, and vanilla notes are the most prominent. I think this would be a lovely wedding day scent (the name is obviously perfect) but it would depend on how hefty your budget is. More than $1000 allocated for fragrance? Get this one, definitely.

I've just bought this from Harrods in London for my wedding day perfume. Not only because of the perfect name but because the juice inside is beautiful. Stunning sugared almonds with the distinctive Guerlain touch. A far cry from the bubblegum/marshmallow of Love by Kilian that I see it compared to so often. This perfume just oozes elegance with a touch of fun and the bottle is very pretty too! It's now in a safe place waiting for my special day.

I do love and covet many Guerlain perfumes and this is an expensive habit, addiction, whatever. This one has been on my radar for a little while now. Just recently was able to sniff at a many Guerlains in NYC. This one " best day of my life" is a beauty made for I imagine ones wedding day. Very fitting but I love it everyday. Sweet floral almonds goodness vanilla a little patch . It's all in the blending, a very special one for sure. I Love!

This is still to this day the most beautiful perfume I have ever smelt and also my most complimented. Guerlain HAS to bring this back and maybe even add it to the L'art et la Matiere collection. This perfume is a sensory experience and there are no words that can do this beauty justice. If I had to compare it to another perfume, it would be Love Don't Be Shy but make it more sophisticated and perfumey instead of a gourmand. 11/10

Absolutely divine! Magical and addictive. I smell mostly the candied almond, rose, musk, and vanilla. It is a full-bodied scent, but never heavy or suffocating. Longevity is about 5 hours before I feel the need to touch up. It projects to about arm's length. One of the lovliest things I've ever put my nose to. I think it can make even an ordinary day more beautiful.

Its a very pretty famine perfume... sweet and warm really elegant and unique ...one of my fav...of 2015 unique delicate... I would say its creamy ..powdery...but it has some fresh...I cant say when it comes from but he added it to kill the powder an vanilla... the thing I don't like about it is price...its a very expensive in Sacks...way to expensive . . . .

Beautiful and sweet. Picked this up on my recent trip to Paris at the Guerlain flagship store. The longevity is quite amazing with this fragrance. I'd describe it as sweet and almondy. Along the same vein as My Insolence, but sweeter.

It's a gorgeous candied almond, orange flower, vanilla scent. Lasts forever on skin and clothes, be careful spraying on light colored fabrics though. The perfume darkens as it ages, so it might stain.

Beautiful perfume, my favorite one ever. It’s so hard to get but I finally found it again. A sweet easy smell that lasts all day and is perfect for nighttime as well.

Extremely comforting, sweet sugared almond perfume. It’s just my jam it seems. I really hope Guerlain considers keeping this alive and relaunch it at some point.

This is so pretty. It makes me feel younger in a good way. It’s a compliment getter. My 5 year old says it smells like popsicles.

Oh my.. I’m in fragrance heaven! I’m in love once again!

I Got my second bottle 🙃 maybe it’s getting discontinued

After a few wears with my sample, I have come to the conclusion that this scent leaves me with quite a quandary. I really love the scent itself, but I find it difficult to justify paying the amount it retails at. If I were wealthy enough to afford this easily then I would buy it no question, but at the current retail price I just cannot justify it. But it remains on my want list in case I come into some money! Warning, this review will get long! Onto the perfume: this is a beautiful, elegant and rather pretty scent. To me it is very softly feminine, if it were a food it would be a pale pastel mint green dish filled with soft plump marshmallows finely dusted with icing sugar, in a pink so pale as to be almost white. The perfume creates a wonderful gentle aura of around me, a soft wispy cloud of scent. Yet despite all these words I am using like soft, wispy, gentle etc this is not a weak juice, I had a 2ml dabber sample vial, and this is my 5th wear from the vial, for me this has good longevity of around 7-8 hours of projection from dabbed application and projects roughly arms length around me for the first few hours before wearing closer to the skin later. for several hours more - as a skinscent it takes me over the 12 hour mark. I imagine that sprayed on and a more generous application would yield good longevity and a little more projection. This perfume contains definite nods to several other Guerlain exclusives such as the cool angelica of Angelique Noire, the soft marshmallowy gooey softness of le Boise Torride, and a vanilla that calls to mind Cuir Beluga. The Guerlainade is, to my noses opinion, present here and the perfume definitely feels like a member of the Guerlain family. As for the scent itself, I get a tiny hint of clean lemon in the opening, along with angelica and pink pepper. Quickly the orange blossom joins in, a very light, bright, clean and non indolic white floral note, and soon the vanilla starts to warm up, having the faintest smoky quality to it that is so familiar to Guerlain lovers. The almond is sweet, it brings to mind the sugared almonds used as wedding favours on the tables during the reception, that come in a little mesh bag. They have the clean, soft, non medicinal almond feel here, coated with fine pastel sugar. While there is undoubtedly a sweetness to this scent it is not what I would class as gourmand, the angelica, patchouli, orange blossom etc all prevent this from wandering into candyfloss territory. The patch here is very light and just adds that hint of necessary grounding this perfume needs. The smell is fairly linear throughout, there is a definite change through the top notes and into the heart where the vanilla, patch and musks join the party for afternoon tea, but from there on in it remains fairly steady for me, just growing fainter over time. The scent is extremely similar to that of the other Guerlain released with this - Le Bouquet de Mariee - which is the parfum version. The main differences are as you'd expect the parfum is a little richer and deeper, and has increased longevity (and price tag). So, what's not to like? Beautiful smell, respectable projection and longevity, you'd think we were onto a winner. But for me the problem is the way Guerlain decided to go with this, making it an exclusive, high priced and hard to acquire fragrance. This is a great scent and while it does give a nod to some of its exclusive siblings, it also brings to mind some not so exclusive releases from the house - some of the lighter Shalimar flankers, there is something about it that brings L'Instant EDT to mind and there is a definite similarity between the soft powdery almonds of LPBJDMV and the ones in L'Instant Magic. And in fact the scents from the regular Guerlain line do give me better performance in terms of projection, longevity - and value for money. I feel that this scent would have fitted well among the regular line up and would have been a success if it were marketed and sold with the other general Guerlain's - it would stand up well amidst the L'Instants and the Insolences, the LPRNs and the Idylles, the various modern Shalimars, appealed to a younger and wider audience as well as the established Guerlain client base and I think would have been a success as it has wide appeal. It is sweet enough to satisfy the gourmand and confectionery lovers, but not so sweet as to turn off non-gourmand fans. It is gentle and pretty enough to wear casually day to day yet elegant and poised well to create a good impression in a more formal setting. It has decent longevity and sillage without being impolite or intrusive. Guerlain would have been better releasing this as a mainstream scent instead of releasing 1001 different LPRNs and Shalimar flankers. That said, it doesn't blow me away like some scents do and I just don't feel that this one merits the price point at which it has been placed, it isn't groundbreaking, although it is done well and smells very lovely. But for £150 for 60ml I want more than just pleasant and nice. I want something different, something exceptional. If this were marketed and sold in line with the regular scents I would already have my bottle in my wardrobe. But for £150 I could buy something much more special from this house, such as Liu, Tonka Imperiale, a small bottle of Mitsouko Parfum - for that price I could also buy 4 bottles from the regular line up. I think fundamentally for me, while I do enjoy this fragrance, and I find it to be well composed, pleasant and very wearable, it just doesn't warrant the price tag IMO. That said it IS a very nice scent and definitely worth sampling should you get the chance. If this falls within your price range you will have a beautiful scent with the Guerlain feel.

Reminds me of buttercream frosting off a store-bought birthday cake, complete with the chemical aftertaste. Very gourmand but sickly sweet and artificial smelling. I’ve never had candied almonds (popular wedding favors) before but I can see the inspiration reflected in this perfume. Personally I wouldn’t want to smell like this on my wedding day, I’d choose a classic like Shalimar or L'Heure Bleue or Vol de Nuit. I don’t know why Guerlain made this an overpriced LE exclusive frag when it could easily be a mainstream hit. Anyway the drydown is tolerable because the chemical sweetness dies down a bit. All in all I don’t dislike it, but this is probably my least favorite Guerlain thus far. It smells nearly identical to By Kilian Love, but Love is more caramel-y. Iris Ganache has a similar candy-like level of sweetness.

I smelled it for the first time yesterday. I am a Guerlaine fan. I own Mon Precieux Nectar, Angelique Noir and Cuir Beluga. I guess that's why I like this one. Must be the almonds and the sweetness. After reading your reviews here, I think maybe will hold off buying this one. It seems as though I might already have it in some form in one of the three other bottles of Guerlaine I have.

Mu first thought was flowerbomb nectar but I agree with the previous voters that said this smells like love dont be shy by kilian. I also feel the same emotion as those who can appreciate this for what it is, but dont feel that it's for them. Well done gourmand!

The scent leans powdery, floral, and slightly sweet, with a smooth, almost airy elegance that feels super romantic and polished. It’s not loud or dramatic more like a gentle, intimate aura that stays close to the skin.

My sample finally came in the mail. This is sweet like M Micallef Watch and Be Layered Caramel Overdose. I can smell the almonds and I think the orange blossom. It smells like the orange blossoms in JPG Scandal aka I’m not aware I’m smelling flowers type sweetness. It’s just thick and sweet with low projection. It’s the type of sweet smell I’d actually wear and not get disgusted by. Maybe I haven’t been to enough weddings or need to wait longer for the dry down, but I don’t smell wedding cake frosting on my skin. In fact, this smells very similar to Elie Saab Girl of Now but with way more almonds.

I fell for the "but it's a limited edition and once we are out of stock, that's it, they're gone" line and blind-bought it, and this is my second day wearing this. I was hoping that some other reviewer with better sniffing and writing skills would have offered insights regarding Le Plus Beau Jour de Ma Vie EDP first, but I will share my thoughts and hope you'll forgive my weak description skills. 1) If you get the sales pitch that I got, please be careful and don't react out of emotion (it costs $270 USD...money that I would rather have spent on either bringing home Liu or saving up for Vol de Nuit parfum, sorry to sound negative) unless you can sample it first. Learn from my mistake! 2) This is a lush, beautiful orange blossom scent, with a prominent sweetness which I'm guessing is the "candied almond"...to me, it almost smells like white chocolate (yes MonsieurGuerlain, I agree with you). The fragrance does not shift or evolve, you get orange blossom/candied almonds for the whole day. It is a soft, dreamy cloud. People had to come right up to me and sniff, and they would say "Nice." On my skin, I could not detect angelica nor any pink pepper...it's possible that they are there, but I didn't smell them. If you absolutely can't live without orange blossom, this may be one you want to try. 3) I agree with Archivist in that this would make a great prop in bridal photos, and since there is nothing that I consider to be outstanding about this fragrance, suspect that's why it was created...to get more brides. It would be something lovely to wear on your wedding day, yes. The bottle comes with a flat gold colored cap that screws off, and then you attach the vintage-looking bulb atomizer. I just happen to not care for that type of atomizer, and felt clumsy trying to use it. When I dab it on, I feel like I have better control with how much I want to apply. I can't hide my disappointment in that I feel the price asked for this creature doesn't really justify buying it, and I was hoping for a bit more complexity. On your skin, you may get more assertive angelica and pink pepper and citrus notes; I really wish those had done so for me. I'm sitting here in an orange blossom/candied almond cloud. Not a bad place to sit, but I feel somewhat foolish for falling for this. It projects softly (meaning that I and people who come up to hug me or otherwise stand in my personal space will smell it) for about 3-4 hours, then it becomes a light, sweet skin scent, in which I sense the vanilla and musk. Since this seems to be aimed at brides, I tihnk this would be very nice for the wedding day and serve its purpose. But after the most beautiful day has passed, then what? Having said all of this, I wonder if perhaps Le Plus Beau Jour might perform better or cast more magic in warmer weather. It is still a tad cool where I live. Just a thought. I'll play with it a bit more before I make a final decision as to whether I will keep it or not. I'm sorry to sound negative, it may be that I am too cynical in nature to really enjoy this new Guerlain. It is very, very pretty but I just think it is too expensive, for what it offers. Just my humble opinion.

Once this dries down to a skin scent, the overall orange blossom-almond-vanilla chord is quite lovely. That said, this same chord is already done really well in Mon Precieux Nectar, but without the dose of cotton candy that Le Plus Beau Jour de Ma Vie has at its top. It seems kind of odd to me that this is supposed to be a wedding day perfume. Mon Precieux Nectar is subtler and feels youthful but more mature. This feels aimed at the teen/college set because of that sugary opening salvo. While the overall drydown and scent profile is nice, it seems redundant to have it in the profile when MPN covers almost the same territory but in a more nuanced manner.

Le Plus Beau Jour de Ma Vie by Guerlain comes to me in stages – possibly one of the more dramatic perfumes in term of progression from some of the later Guerlain repertoire. Weddings are on Guerlain’s mind, and perhaps the brilliant purity of white too. This is a ‘white’ scent – pale, pure, and sweet, layered like an expensive bridal dress. The sugared almonds are pale in colour, and this is reflected in the scent of this fragrance. Soft additions, like the orange blossom surrounded in clean musk is like the soft pastel makeup-sculpted cheekbones of the picturesque bride. It is fleshy without being too much. It is sweet and tenderly, but not cloying in any way. Back to the idea of white, Guerlain’s annual Muguet this year (2015) is housed in stark white porcelain, and Guerlain’s flanker L’Homme Ideal Cologne is framed in a solid white square with its advertisement featuring a central groom running from a mass of other brides and grooms all wearing white. What’s on Guerlain’s mind? Find firstly this blinding sweetness, sweet and ethereal like lipstick and powders. This lipstick dances around being nude and fleshy pink, and eventually settles at a warmer hue of Rose and musks. This recedes into the back and makes way for a bitter green Angelica note, almost approaching a galbanum like bitterness warmed with pink peppercorn. More thematic however, find a sugared almond note unlike any other Guerlain. Sweet and driving, the almond pushes the composition into sweet territory but manages to never reveal its true gourmand reality. Again, on a thematic level, with appreciation for a yesteryear set of bridal values and traditions, orange blossom is eventually present as the main note here. The language of flowers dictate that orange blossom is for weddings and is tradition for it to be present during the ceremony. Queen Victoria wore a wreath of orange blossoms on her wedding day, symbolising fruitfulness and eternal love. This imparts a smoothness around the edges of the sugared almonds, tempered pleasantly with incense. One will find that Le Plus Beau Jour de Ma Vie has an uncanny resemblance to many other Guerlain “niche-line” works. The Angelica of course found in Angelique Noire – with its real bitter opening and deeply aromatic green pungency. The base of Le Plus Beau Jour de Ma Vie by Guerlain too resembles strongly the musky, albeit musty characteristics of Cuir Beluga with that illusionary leather/suede note. All is needed now is a rich topping of the attractive orange blossom, counterbalanced with the saccharine hit of sugared almonds; Tonka Imperiale perhaps. Conclude with a dashing of rose, patchouli, and incense – generally strong notes found in oriental works – and Le Plus Beau Jour de Ma Vie is the result. The great thing about this Eau de Parfum however is that it seems to heat up as it progresses. Whilst the Angelica note is a fixed component, as it opens with the sweet powders it inevitably fades into a more pleasant state. The almonds too, are constant, yet stretch themselves out to a sophisticated level gourmands seldom achieve or even find realisable. So for analytical purposes this is stage three of this fragrance’s progression, and it pushes out an awesome red rose elegantly dipped in sugar syrup to make it glisten some more. The patchouli and incense pair nicely and are dependable in this mix, alloying down any seemingly erratic sweet notes and cloying features. Treat this fragrance with less sternness, and a patisserie note can be found. Is this another thematic addition? Sugared almonds and orange blossom, the incense hinting at perhaps a church or the notion of purity, and now the sweet and very delicious note of frosted cake made from almond meal? In the end, this fragrance is more complex than one might expect. Freshness is delivered to what is otherwise a saccharine overload, weighed firmly with a transparent touch. Where is it at fault? It moves, delicately, but is otherwise a perfume build largely around a constant sweetness and a floral musk accord that is persistent. Nevertheless, a very good release from Guerlain with a nouveu appeal that may already appear familiar to Guerlainophiles that enjoy the L’art et la Matière line.

Many women in the Guerlain community rave about this one. FOMO got me! The fragrance has just been discontinued in the bee bottle format. So when I saw a quadrilobe bottle of le Plus Beau Jour de Ma Vie available at a fairly decent price, I had to jump on the opportunity and blind buy it. I tried it for the 1st time yesterday. I am quite disappointed as I was expecting more. I don't dislike it either. I find this fragrance quite juvenile. It is quite sweet and reminds of some sweets I have tasted previously. The Angélique note is quite present and gives it a certain greenness. The orange blossom is not as present as I expected. The sweet candied aspects are probably brought by the candied almond note, but for me it is not a recognizable note. Overall, I would say if you are looking for a complex, beautiful and refined Gourmand scent in the Guerlain portfolio, try Guerlain's Baiser de Russie instead.

Does this remind me of other fragrances? Yes and No. LPBJDMV has the Guerlian DNA while reminding me of other candied almond fragrances I adore- Mandorlo di Sicilia, Rouge Smoking, Reminicence Guimauve, Love- Take the candied almond from those fragrances and add the Angelica note from Angelique Noire and add syrupy orange blossom and Guerlian’s vanilla and incense. This really is more complex than some give it credit for. This keeps the frosted sugar tinged angelica throughout the wear as the orange blossom intensifies and musk and incense become more prominent as time goes on. Also sweetness does not equal juvenile. La bouquet de la Marieè is the Parfum version of this and it is the exact same but I get even more incense from LbdlM. I’m happy to have both .

Ahh the smell of Guerlain! This is so delicious and beautiful. How can anyone not adore this? I feel so girly when I wear this scent and I believe it would suit any sweet lady. I am a big fan of Dior’s Hypnotic Poison which is a luxurious almond scent, as well as Profumum Roma’s Confetto but they are both slightly too bitter. This scent however is a sweet sugared almond scent. So romantic, so inviting and so very seductive. How can anyone resist the lady wearing this beautiful scent? This is becoming so hard to find and it’s so beautiful I can cry! I had a bottle and used it on a daily for the office/errands/whatever; I didn’t think twice that this should be for special occasions. When I went to re-purchase a second bottle, I didn’t realize it’d be a mission. If you can get your hands on this, and it won’t break the bank - get it! You won’t be sorry. It’s like a realistic floral garden of only the most beautiful flowers and wearing it makes you feel like a queen - in a classy, elegant way, not the gen z definition of a queen.

A precursor to 190 Ans. Having owned both, I felt that 190 Ans was the finished product, whilst LPBJDMV was a work in progress with less depth and more watery sweetness. The version I had came in the Guerlain box with a separate bulb sprayer. If you own any of the bottles with the bulb sprayer, beware. Remove the sprayer after use and reseal the bottle or the contents will mysteriously evaporate over time. If you like the possibilities of what this could deliver, you’ll adore 190 Ans.

This is an orange blossom and vanilla scent, with a faint powdery almond note. It's a feminine "fresh and sweet" sort of thing. I do not find it very similar to Love by Kilian, Love is a dense gourmand floral marshmallow, this is one is more of a sour orange blossom and vanillin. I do not dislike it. I think it's pleasant and elegant, but you can find something similar in, say, Nina Ricci Les Gourmandises range at a fraction of a price and with better projection.

Hey Renae, I was in the same boat as you, having trouble sampling this one. A lot of stores don’t even carry it. But I was able to obtain a sample online, it may have been through perfumedcourt or a similar site. It’s a nice perfume, but nothing like Angélique Noire, despite the vanilla and angelica. LPBJDMV is much, much sweeter and is dominated by orange blossom and almond. I actually found it less unique and smooth than AN. I hope that helps! Good luck!

this is a beautiful scent, its delicate and very sweet. Too sweet for me, the drydown is like white frosting. i ADORE white frosting, weddings and feminine things. Just not for perfume... This smells just like a white wedding cake encrusted with Jordan almonds. Its stunning and well done, and the bottle is insanely beautiful. For a lovely woman who adores flowerbomb, pink sugar type scents this would be out of this world for her wedding

At 200€, this is priced in the mid range among the other Guerlain exclusive fragrances. I recalled Guerlain used to sell a similar looking bottle (empty) with a glass funnel at around 160€ years ago. Just adding a mere 40€ to get the gorgeous bottle with 60ml of EDP sounds like a steal in the Guerlain standard, of course for those who love the juice as well.

I've not smelled this as yet - am going to try and find a sample online or wait until stores re-open again. Quick question - is this ANYTHING like Guerlain's Angelique Noire (my all time fav perfume!)??? I see there are a lot of similar notes and I'm just curious if there's much similarity. Very interested to smell!

This is a sweet confection on me in the opening---bright orange blossom meets sweet candied almonds and vanilla. The dry down is all cozy white musk and this is an intimate scent--not a loud one. It's beautiful, and the bottle is gorgeous. A great addition to my collection.

Nothing special,nothing unique ... For me totally disappointing ,overrated and overpriced twin of Calypso`s Lea,only just provided with a weird,medicinal vibe... Must be the angelica paired with almond... Has to scrub this off....

doesn't smell like love by kilian, the only note they both have in commun in orange blossom, but this one is more oowdery, almond like one, not thas sugary sweet like love, who reminds of marshmallows or candy...

Her smile lights up the room. Smells like soft music, a sweet gesture by a stranger which elevates your mood on a busy day. Beautiful beautiful beautiful. stays close to the skin.. 5-6 hours usually.

Description sounds good, but if it vanillic/caramely/candy flossy/gourmandy, I will keep walking. Nice bottle. I know I'm judging before testing, but we are having fun, don't be too serious.
