Ownership status: Full bottle Release year: 2016 How I tested it: Multiple wears As a perfumer, my favorite style/genre of fragrances is what I call “barbertrope”: a classic barbershop vibe with a sweet, creamy heliotropin twist. Some examples are PDM Pegasus, Amouage Reflection Man, and Creed Delphinus, and all three of these fragrances happen to be some of my favorites of all time, along with Guerlain L’Homme Ideal EDP. Heliotropin, a sweet, powdery, and floral almond-like aromachemical, is the star, giving a creamy almond-floral scent that’s soft yet sophisticated, though some people think it’s a bit too powdery or childish. As the name suggests, heliotropin does smell a bit like heliotrope, but it lacks the spiciness and isn't as powdery or cherry-like. No matter what anyone else thinks of it, it will always be my favorite perfume material. Barbertrope scents usually downplay the aromatics like lavender or rosemary and let spices lift the heliotropin, keeping it from smelling like a lifeless cloud. Sandalwood pairs perfectly with it, and some coumarin (natural compound that gives tonka bean its scent) or bicyclononalactone (similar to coumarin) amps the sweet creaminess. In a sweet and cozy scent like this, you wouldn’t expect to see notes like lavender, rosemary, or thyme, but now you know why they’re there and how they work. L’Homme Ideal EDP takes this barbertrope DNA to the next level: it’s richer, sweeter, and more vanillic than most, with almond, tonka, and vanilla leading the way. The cherry is dark and rum-like, not the medicinal, cough-syrupy cherry you sometimes get in benzaldehyde-heavy fragrances, and definitely not like Cherry Coke. As much as I love almond notes, I hate benzaldehyde, which is naturally found in bitter almonds and adds a sticky, medicinal, and sharp cherry+almond note, like in Tom Ford’s Lost Cherry. To many people, it smells harsh and aggressive, or as some of you amateurs like to call it, “synthetic.” The cherry here has almost none of that harsh sticky benzaldehyde smell and instead is much darker and juicier. I love that the accord here is built, not just slapped together from a single chemical. This is the type of scent that you can’t ignore when you smell it in the air. Out of all the fragrances I have, it gets the most compliments in the least amount of time. People notice it immediately. It’s approachable, sweet, and creamy, and distinctive enough to stand out in a crowd, and on my skin, it’s stronger than most people say it is. With this scent profile and noticeable-but-not-overwhelming projection, I think this is the most perfect date night fragrance a man can ever wear. I’ll never stop recommending this fragrance to anyone just starting to build their collection. Rating: 9.7/10

You know me when it comes to perfumes, I usually write a small essay trying to cover every single aspect of it the way I would like to know if I read it from a fragrantican. Why am I saying this? Because in the past I've said that male perfumes started to be very boring and linear. You either like one or not, so simple. What happens here? The BEST male perfume ever smelled. I mean it even beats Chanel's classics, should I say YSL's La nuit de l'homme too? Yes, why not? It's sexy, it's bold, it's masculine, well blended, complex, as 'sweet' as a gentelman should be, sporty and dressy at the same time, you want me to tell more? I can't yet call it unique but this perfume can be easily not only a signature scent, but also a great gift. No men in the world will dislike it, don't ask me about women. It's a seducer. Don't worry about cherry or almond note, it's more of a combination that brings a dry marascino liquor effect. This is it's uniqueness if we could say. Vanilla and tonka bean are so light, as much as needed for a male perfume to warm it and empower the 'cherry' note. In general, it belongs to spicy/aromatic family, I can smell almost all of it's notes listed above but spices are rocking hard. In a few words, spices, incense, green herbs, the right sweet (not gourmandise at all) touch, sandalwood, maybe leather is missing or it's very soft. OK, nobody is perfect so the only minus? It can't be versatile! I know we can wear what we like, there are no genders in perfumes or right ages but this is a 30+ one, winter-fall. Maybe summer will make it kind of generic or overwelming. This is the first fragrance that has truly blown me away. Wow. The whole way through it's very hard to put words to because it's so well blended and just forms into this anomalous whole. I feel like behind each main player are several others in supporting roles, giving depth and nuance but escaping my direct notice. The opening I get a dark, tart cherry and whiskey, maybe a little lavender and incense? It really is so well blended that I srtuggle. At this point I'm not sure what to think of it. Certainly not a love just yet. I read a review describing it as similar to cherry coke, and I can't un-notice that similarity now. 10 minutes later I'm greeted by a bit of powdery sandalwood and vanilla, along with a little bit of almond. A short while after this, something clicks and... OH MY. I'm lovestruck. I lost all analytical thought and stopped searching for notes, just sitting in awe and appreciation of the moment. Fantastic. The vanilla and sandalwood really balance everything and create this incredibly detailed and complex aroma that seems to dance and shimmer. From here on it sort of alternates back and forth between the tart cherry-whiskey-incense 'cherry coke' and the absolute heart stopper with vanilla, sandalwood and almond. Each time the shift happens it gets a little closer to a balanced mix of the two halves. (Rose snuck in at some point, too - when did that happen?). My head is trying to tell me I might be short on appropriate occasions to wear it, but my heart says I should never stop wearing it, appropriateness be damned - you don't try to find time to schedule love.

No idea why it took me this long to leave a review on the FIRST fragrance I’d ever bought with my own dough but oh boy... close to 40 designer, clone and niche perfumes later and this fragrance still slaps meat especially at its price point. Guerlain is definitely my favourite house as they rarely ever miss and this masterpiece which honestly smells niche level for almost a decade now. Scent: Sweet cherry and almonds that dries down into this light leather smell with a tinge powdery. I’ve dreaded typing a review for this because honestly I have no idea how to describe the smell it’s just so rich and complex which is crazy to me because it’s only a designer. I have niche perfumes that don’t even smell as sophisticated or well blended as this. BANGING. Performance: Fairly good I would say. Got the job done as my signature scent, lasted long enough through school days and part-time work shifts with people being able to smell (and compliment) me occasionally. Not beast mode but it definitely isn’t weak and it gets the job done. Versatility: 18 year old me rocked this as a signature. With my infinite wisdom and fragrance knowledge I probably wouldn’t be wearing this in the tropical heat daytime but it definitely slaps as a special occasion scent. Still usable in the day but maybe just limit how much you spray. Scent: 10/10 Performance: 7/10 Versatility: 6/10 Personal Score: 8.5/10 I can’t stress how good L’Homme Ideal EDP smells even if performance and versatility might not be anything spectacular, the scent itself really is. Signature scent worthy ON EVERYTHING I LOVE.

Almond? Say less. This isn’t usually the style of almond I go for, though. I usually prefer softer, airier, and more powdery almond scents; the kind you find in Pegasus, High Frequency, or Hypnotic Poison. But this one takes a bit of a different approach, and honestly, it still completely works. Guerlain L’Homme Ideal Eau de Parfum blends creamy almond and bright cherry, thanks to that dose of benzaldehyde, with darker undertones of leather, spices, and incense. It opens with a tart cherry note that’s lifted by very subtle aromatic herbs, and the almond steps in soon after. The spices follow closely behind, adding a bit of sharpness and depth. Normally, that kind of intensity isn’t my thing, but here, it all comes together beautifully. As it dries down, the vanilla and leather combo takes over, and the result is incredibly addictive. This fragrance is sexy, charismatic, and surprisingly unique. It smells unbelievably beautiful in the air, and it stands out in a crowd and earns compliments because it grabs attention in the right way. It doesn’t smell like your typical “guy in cologne” scent. It'll make people curious but won't annoy anyone. Perfect date night material. Signature-worthy. Projection is noticeable but not loud or obnoxious. It has just the right presence for dates or close encounters. Longevity is solid too, lasting a good 10 to 11 hours before fading into a skin scent. Suuuuper nice fragrance. Perfect combination of masculine and sweet. Opens up with bright cherry/bergamot and floral notes with a hint of spice, which may fool the impatient nose in to thinking this is feminine-leaning. However, this quickly dries down into a gorgeous vanilla, cherry, and tonka cocktail - the almond note reminds me of an Amaretto Sour. The scent is held up well with incense and tonka notes, and the smoothest and most subtle leather accord underneath everything, though it never loses the gourmand sweetness. This smells like laying in bed after an intimate date followed by a slightly intoxicated stumble into a pâtisserie. It's sweet, seductive, sophisticated, and undeniably luxurious. Whilst this scent does tend to dry down into a skin scent very quickly for me (4 hours or so), that skin scent lasts well over an entire day. Seriously, I can spray it on after a morning shower, and wake up the next day still getting a whiff of it. That said, because the projection isn't insane, I've found that I enjoy "overspraying", making it last almost 2 whole days and getting brilliant sillage. I do actually believe that this is wearable in the summer too, just go easier on the sprays. Not much else to say. This is a masterpiece of gourmand perfumery. And 100ml cost me 75 quid on Notino. 10/10

Pros: clean, masculine, intimate, complex, long lasting. Cons: The complexity means notes might get lost on you the first few times with it, or you end up chasing a dragon. Low Projection. It does not seem to do well in the heat or day, so I would say cold nights only. Top: Immediately the almond and herbal top notes resolves to a powdery-clean note that I did like, but not what I was hoping for. Beyond that, the Bergamot and spices came through at the end of the top notes for me and were a nice transition to the middle. I would call it energizing. Middle: The cherry+vanilla does not read as sweet or cloying but dark and musky due to how it interacts with the incense note. It reminded me of TF's Cherry Smoke. The rose was surprisingly masculine, but didn't seem to stick around and got lost (to my nose) in the incense, vanilla, and cherry. Base: Tonka and Leather, sure. Maybe the idea of sandalwood. The tonka and leather seemed to hang very close to the skin and my partner said she felt very drawn in by it. Great date night fragrance by her take. TLDR: Great date night, starts off fresh, your date will want to get close to you and they will cozy up to you as the middle and base notes come through. Due to the price, I would have to say save it for special occasions only.

Nose Note #977 To my nose it's has bits and pieces from stuff like Dior Homme Intense, Spicebomb (to me it has a peculiar cherry note), maybe Red Tobacco (very distantly) and very slightly Pegasus. It has this designer feeling about it, what I mean is it smells like something and like nothing at the same time. It's hard to take apart and it feels a bit messy. There's something slightly dark about it, definitely something strangely metallic in the way that almonds smell. Something slightly cherry-like, but very vaguely. Maybe even something tobacco-like, but it's a perfume tobacco, nothing realistic. So altogether there's nothing realistic about it. Nothing to connect it to the real world. So yeah, it smells like a designer-esque something. I find it extremely hard to remember this scent. It's not bad at all, I just expected something else because L'Homme Ideal line is somewhat legendary. But it didn't leave any impression on me... Men only. Not the strongest perfume at all, just moderate performance. Similarly moderate sillage. 7.5/10, very pleasant, but overall a let down for me

I wondered why this was rated so highly straight after I bought it 3 months ago. Because on initial opening I got a very slight, weak representation of what people were saying about it. I waited a while but got a watery nothingness. It was touted as cherry, smooth, irresistible, ambery, then slightly woodsy and one of the top ten any man should have in their collection etc. I got none of that and I was really surprised as I know Guerlain to be powerful and expressive with fantastic sillage and longevity. I just thought this to be overrated and I relegated it to the back of the cupboard. I let it sit for that 3 months and decided to see how it is tonight and I sprayed it a few moments ago and although I don't know how long it's going to last, the initial blast I get from it has been amplified significantly. It's a fantastic essence, far stronger than when I got it and has matured into a far better experience. Oh this is really good. I never learn, I just need to be patient.

Guerlain L'Homme Idéal Eau de Parfum is a fragrance I chose primarily for its cherry note, which brings a gourmand, original touch from the very first seconds. My first experience wearing it was at a winter ball. From the moment I put it on, I received compliments throughout the entire evening. It comes as no surprise that it has been voted one of women's favorite fragrances on men, given the impact it can have and the number of positive reactions I witnessed that night. The fragrance then evolves into woody, slightly spiced notes that balance out the richness of the cherry and add depth and elegance. The overall result is warm, refined and very pleasant to wear, with a moderate but effective sillage. For me, it is a modern, masculine signature that draws attention in a subtle yet certain way. Gourmand, elegant and seductive, it works perfectly for dressed up occasions or any moment where you want to make a lasting impression.

Very sweet but I wouldn't say cloying — the cherry note is the star here, smells like a jar of cherries. Behind it sits a nutty, spicy warmth: think crushed almonds dusted with soft spices, slowly burning over a wisp of incense. It’s a refined, elegant kind of sweetness — nothing juvenile, or playful. I also get this nice aromatic touch throughout the wear and the drydown leans vanilla-heavy, but the cherry fades into something more subtle and less sweet. There’s still that almond nuttiness, but now it feels powdery, and I smell something balsamic as well. Performance leans moderate — not weak, but not a room-filler either. That actually works in its favor: this is the kind of fragrance that shines in intimate settings or serious occasions, when you want something sophisticated and close to the skin rather than overly loud. Also extremely well blended, Guerlain is starting to become one of those houses for me.

This fragrance truly makes people lean in and ask what I’m wearing. It’s such a lovely scent. Not made for verywarm days--it dries down quite powdery--but summer nights would be fine. (i’m in Minnesota, so most summer nights are usually 70s.). I have the Ideal EDT, the Ideal Extreme, and this Ideal EDP. I personally love the EDT the most. I do feel the EDP and the Extreme are redundant. Between the Extreme and the EDP, though, I think I would choose the Extreme--though I really do enjoy them both. I just like the tobacco/leather dry down of the Extreme a little more than the powdery dry down of the EDP--and the cherry isn't as strong as I would have hoped. Longevity on me is about 8 hours: 2 hours of projecting about arms length, and 6 hours skin scent. In the end, I don’t regret buying this but I probably won't buy it again since I have the Extreme.

My Rating - 7.8/10 (Including the bottle design) This was gifted to me by my gf. The fragrance is really nice - Smells masculine, rich and gourmand with a lot of Almond and Cherry in the opening. Dry down is leathery. A cool weather masterpiece. It's strong initially when sprayed. Projects decent for 1-2 hr. Then becomes a skin scent for me till 8hrs of initial spray. Not expected from an EDP. But the fragrance makes up for it. Best for special occasions. Can work for - Date night in and out, Office, Formal Events, Special Occasion, Maybe for college as well if you dress up bold. As Indian - When I first sprayed it in office - I heard it smelt more like heavy almond oil in the opening (often used in India) so basically - overpowered general smell. But it matures with time for people and it is appreciated more.

Today’s scent of the day: Guerlain L’Homme Idéal EDP My favorite thing about this fragrance is the almond, cherry, vanilla and the smokiness from the incense. I know there’s way more notes listed but those are the ones my nose picks up the most every time I wear it. A lot of people call this a winter or cold weather fragrance, but it’s supposed to be 74°F today here in Ohio and honestly it smells amazing in this weather. I get why people associate certain fragrances with seasons, but I’ve never really followed that mindset personally. I’m the type to wear Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue to a snowball fight 😂 Just like fragrance isn’t gendered, I don’t think fragrance has seasons either. Wear what you want and be yourself. You can find a 100ml bottle of this on discounter sites for under $90, grab it.

Every night before bed, I find myself reaching for the same two bottles—L’Homme Idéal by Guerlain and Milk+ by Commodity. It’s become more than just a habit; it’s become a quiet ritual, something that marks the end of my day and eases me into rest. There’s something about this combination that feels emotionally satisfying. It reminds me of comfort like warm custer desserts, soft heavenly bed, maybe even the safe, quiet moments from childhood. But it also feels sensual without being loud and indulgent without being overwhelming. It’s become my scent of winding down. Of closing the door on the start of the world and returning to myself. I love the way this pairing makes me feel. Not just how it smells, but the calm it brings. It’s a scent that feels like a deep exhale from the mouth.

A masterpiece this is. I absolutely love this fragrance! I usually dislike leather fragrances, but this is a big exception to that rule. It's a beautiful scent; the cherry is not that cough-syrup type, the vanilla is not overpowering and overly gourmand and although the leather is very prominent, it's a brighter and uplifting one, very pleasant. I'd say it leans heavily towards more formal occasions, and although I think it's masculine in its own way (the type of masculinity that doesn't need to be flaunted and is confident to not be shaken by things others consider "feminine"), a woman could pull this off. The only downside to note is the opening. It's kind of a mess and screechy, but fortunately, that weirdness fades away after a minute or so.

Just astonishing , even that some people say is reformulated , still smell 85% with the classical brown cap bottle , untill macerate will not be very strong at sillage and longevity , but after 6-12 weeks you will feel the difference (i have the bottle with batch code 4K01 and truly din't dissapointed). Sillage 4/5 (could be made much better before macerate 1-2 hour at an arm lenght , after 12 weeks a big improvment first 4h radiates very well at distance of 1.5m , definently a compliment getter) Longevity 5/5 (before was 6-8h after is 10-12h on clothes even more , it took off on the neck of my shirt). Versatlity 5/5 i think you can wear and at something more smart casual , good part if do not overspray you can wear it for 6-8 months/year.

For a long time this was my favourite of the line. It’s by far the easiest to wear - gentle, light and elegant, but with enough concentration to keep going for hours. Even the heavier base notes are quite ephemeral, giving it just enough body to give the other notes something to hold on to, but barely noticeable themselves. I’ve heard it praised as a great date-night scent, and it’s lovely to smell. It’s serenely beautiful. It’s a romantic fragrance for the innocent who just want to hold hands in the moonlight, be delighted by the briefest of kisses, walk her home and say good night at the door. It fuels the imagination, but doesn’t get the blood pumping or the heart racing. It’s all love and no lust. Nothing wrong with that, mind you.

It's so good, I literally want to douse myself in this stuff! I wrote a review earlier, but it just contained nonsense about a single wear with the fragrance sitting on my wrist. Now that I've given it a full wear with sprays on my neck and throat the verdict is clear: this is a true masterpiece! Words falls short when trying to describe this scent! It's just so marvelous and highly addictive, almost mesmerizing! The almond and the cherry notes are so prominent. I've heard great things about the house of Guerlain, but this perfume caught me off guard nonetheless. What a stunning work of art! Hats off for Delphine Jelk and Thierry Wasser! I'll have to try some other fragrances from this line aswell!

I own the EDT and EDP, it is difficult to pick one over the other and I have not tried the others in the line. This starts off with a blast of cherry and spices, its incredibly addicting. The cherry note lasts strongly for 10-20 minutes but the fruity aspect stays for longer as the vanilla and nutty qualities come through. As it develops it becomes a really nice vanilla smell that to me is very masculine, it has almost an animalic smell to it and the leather is very smooth as well. Performance is pretty good I think you can expect 6-8 hours but the EDT has better performance for sure. One of my favorites for sure, 9/10 and great for dates, special events, or as semi-daily in the colder seasons.

A very complex fragrance! It's truly an experience, if you can, you should at least try it if not buy it. The dry down is what I fell in love it, it's a very beautifully done leather with cherry dry down that's smooth and not in your face, it's very much present and potent, in the best way possible. The opening itself will make you realise how smoothly the notes blend and how well you can smell each of them along with all of them as a whole. 10/10 recommend buying this if you're into complex fragrances with multiple layers! If you don't like leather maybe don't go for it?but at least try it if you can! Guerlain is honestly one of the finest houses out there.

This is a beautiful fragrance. I love the composition and balance it has. It is sweet, but not cloying. The leather grounds the sweeter cherry/vanilla, but they also lift the leather. Guerlain tends to do leather well, it’s not overly synthetic or dry. I’m not a huge leather person since I prefer airy compositions but I love it here. The tonka and almond adds depth and creaminess. My only gripe is the projection, but I think the intent/nature of the perfume is to stay close and intimate. Perfect date night since it’s sensual and addictive but honestly versatile enough to be worn more than that. Will repurchase when I run out.

As someone who really doesn't have much of a taste for gourmands, this broke my mold. A sultry cherry and vanilla accord, underwritten with toasted almond are the immediate first notes. Tonka bean and leather begin to appear after about ten minutes, perfectly demonstrating that beautiful Guerlain sophistication. I've never had a scent be so sweet, yet so tasteful. Sillage is solid, and this will easily last you 8 hours. It's a little too intimate for the office, but you're going to turn heads in all the right ways during your evenings out. I will say this, though: Heat is your enemy. Find something else for Summer.

Wow! This is amazing. First of all I want to say that when i first sprayed it it was a little harsh and unpleasant, but i gave it a day or two and it became one of my favourite scents. It opens with a fresh spicy and aromatic scent. Kinda like fresh herbs and spices, but not in a gourmand way. The it immediately drys down to a smoky cherry with a slight hint of a creamy suede. This can differ between each person but this is how this fragrance reacts with my skin. It is more of a mature fragrance, but im 18 and I love wearing this fragrance. I would try to smell it in store before purchasing.

I came across it by chance, without even looking at the fragrance pyramid beforehand. And what a delightful surprise! It opens with cherry and almond, neither sugary nor sticky. Then comes the vanilla, followed by hints of leather and sandalwood. The result is sweet, but never too much, warm, deep, and intense. It's perfectly balanced, truly worthy of a Guerlain creation. Honestly, I think it's one of the most beautiful cherry fragrances I've ever smelled. Whether it's marketed for men or not, I'm seriously considering buying it for myself. This "Ideal Man" really seduced me...

one of my favorites easily. its sweet without being cloying, great for day and night and every occasion and temperature besides the middle of summer. its like a cherry coke with almond fragrance and blended nicely. projection is good, and it lasts a solid 8 hours on my skin. my only complaint is that I can't find it in the US anywhere and was lucky to have stumbled across a bottle on jomashop that popped up after weeks of checking and I still had to wait a month to get it. I'm happy I bought it when I saw it, it's a beautiful fragrance that is very unisex.

This was my first ever blind purchase and boy was it worth it. A compliment getter. Really unique & beautiful scent. This is my go-to for when I feel like I want something different. At any event, 99% of the time, It's a guarantee that this scent stands out from the rest. Imagine cherries, now imagine they had aura. Wealthy and mysterious aura. This is what this smells like. Will repurchase as soon as I finish bottle or if Guerlain try to do some bullshit ass "reimagining" and ruin the scent. Shoutout Jeremy Fragrance, that psycho ass mf put me on it.

Guerlain L'Homme Idéal EDP is one of my all-time favorites attractive, seductive, and truly unique. The blend of almond, vanilla, and leather creates a luxurious, addictive scent that stands out from typical men’s fragrances. It’s a huge compliment-getter, and I always feel confident wearing it. The only downside? The longevity is disappointing it fades after about 4 hours on my skin. For the price, I’d expect better performance, but the scent is so good that I still think it’s worth trying. Would I buy it again? Absolutely, without a doubt!

A highly refined cherry Coca-Cola. Almond and a very subtle vanilla tie the whole thing together and contrast the Coke fizziness to smooth over any potential rough edges — though I can still imagine the fizziness being interpreted as leaning a touch sour for some. For me personally, it works to add depth to the realistic cherry note. Lasts decently long, about 9-10 hours on my skin with moderate projection for the first 4-5 and a more intimate bubble starting from the 6 hour mark. Scent: 8.5/10 Longevity: 8.5/10 Sillage: 7/10

I smelled this in the store as a female. Jeezes, so delectable. Smelled like cherry, bit like marzipan/amaretto. Was tempted to buy it for myself. Very daring, dare I say, a bit feminine, more feminine and no patchoulicompared to La petite Robe Noire. I bought my bf l'Homme Ideal Platine prive, which is great for hot weather and had Chanel allure edition blanc vibes. love both to bits. Could eat my bf up almost. He isn't a freshie lover tough, and wasn't too impressed by this gourmand either unfortunately. :(

I decided to blind buy this, and let me tell you. Absolutely stunning! The first initial spray took a second to get used to buy after a minute when things settle oh my God! Everything is perfectly blended and sits really nice! My biggest concern that it would be over powering but that wasn't the case at all. The almond, cherry and vanilla are definitely there! I think this would make a good spring, fall fragrance with the acception of summer nights. I feel like in the heat it would be a little to sweet IMO.

I was gifted a sample by a friend who thought this would smell sexy on me. He was right—every time I wear it, I can’t stop smelling my wrist. I wear this on date nights, and I always get asked what I’m wearing that smells so good. It starts out sharp and citrusy on me, then dries down into something spicy and romantic, with just the most subtle hint of leather. I do not get almond from this at all, but that’s just me and my skin chemistry. It does not strike me as particularly masculine, just alluring.

The opening of this perfume is quite bad in my opinion, too spicy especially if you spray it more than 8 times, but I really like the middle notes and dry down of this perfume, the sweetness of vanilla and almond is perfect, but still gives a mature impression because there are leather notes. opening: 4/10 mid: 8/10 base: 10/10 the sillage is really strong in the first 1-2 hours, the scent can really fill the room, I use about 8-10 sprays for this perfume and it can last at least 8 hours more

This is the most fantastic scent I have ever smelled. Some might say I overreact but from all the stores and all the fragrances I have tried, this one just does it for me. I put it on around 3pm, workout out, showered, its now 11pm and I can still smell it and cant get enough of it. I have never been so addicted to a smell in my life. The cherry is top notch. I genuinely think at least on my skin that this can be a daily for even summer. Going to be my signature fragrance. Buying one tomorrow

9/10. Wow the blend here is beautifully done and so carefully rounded to create this warm cherry, vanilla, spicy warm scent. It doesn't get too sweet for me where it's overbearing or too situational. The base notes of sandalwood and leather incense bring it around. I'd surely love to wear this out, I didn't go over 9.0 because that means I need to buy it lol. My collection has casual/date night scents already. If it did not, I would definitely buy this. easy pick-up, great value

YES YES YES !! This is my signature scent after saving up for it, tried it in a store, loved it, saved up then finally bought it. I’m such a sucker for cherry fragrances, I love lost cherry despite it’s very harsh and synthetic cherry overload of notes. Man oh man, this one is a nice creamy, powdery, and a bit leathery. The almond and sandalwood gives off this nice dry powdery creaminess into the fragrance that blends well with the cherry and vanilla. Truly my ideal perfume!

This is a warm, creamy almond vanilla fragrance. It's like a snack in a cold winter evening. Although I couldn't detect the cherry scent in this fragrance, it is still a very lovely and unique aroma. This is definitely a cooler weather scent but not for the really cold season. It would be perfect for the winter but also for the fall and spring. I also couldn't detect the floral scent clearly, but I think they are there to balance the scent out.

It's been a month or two since I bought a bottle of this, here's what I can say after wearing it consistently at school, work and on nights out: It lasts quite long, I could take a shower a day after and it'll still be there. Girls love it, I've received many compliments about the smell. Another thing I can say is that it doesn't really smell like every other men's perfume out there, so if you want something that stands out, get this perfume.

My bottle literally has 10 to 12 hours longevity. It really is a great performer in longevity, although the projection is below average. This is a masterpiece in general. Great perfumery. Quality is very good. This worth all the money. Also, I left mine for a year to mature and I am happy I did. Stop judging a fragrance when you open it. Most will be below average when it is new. Leave it for months to mature and you will be surprised.

Literally a masterpiece. However, the black cap version with silver label has been reformulated again. The formula code on the box of 2022 bottle is "14374" and the ingredients list begins: Alcohol, Aqua (water), Parfum (fragrance). Instead, the formula code on the box of 2024 bottle is "17798" and the ingredients list begins this way: Alcohol, Parfum (fragrance), Aqua (water). I guess the latest reform was made for the better.

Fizzy cherry with smoothhhh vanilla and almonds with a small burst of warm spices at the top There's the leather at the bottom that really holds this fragrance in place and gives it a super roundish satisfying feel To me smells a bit like Absolute Aphrodisiac by Initio but not very close, just fondly reminiscent Not the greatest performer for me but it smells so good who cares

One of the few perfumes where I notice the transition from opening to drydown. Starts sweet cherry and settles masculine smokey. Very refined perfume. I would actually describe this as beautiful. But still manly. Mature, for over 30s. I thought my collection was done but after sampling this I would probably place it in 4th place of must have perfumes for me (after naxos, oud wood and bdc parfum). 10/10

ALL YEAR ALL DAY😍 such a beautiful yet simple scent. cherry(albeit a slight medicinal cherry) and almonds with slight leather note to it. performance is alright 6-7 hours(pun not intended) and projects for around 3hrs. had a friend say this scent calmed him lol so i guess a relaxing fragrance 😅 anyways, niche quality for designer price. must try if you're looking for a good cherry fragrance

Smells like taking the lid off of a decades old cherry yankee candle that hasn't been opened in years. It seems a bit linear but sophisticated. I think this would be an amazing winter frag. The almond dry down is pleasant. Also, it seems very unisex. EDIT: Every time I wear this I'm realizing I'm a bit of a fool. This isn't just sophisticated, yep, it's a masterpiece. 10/10

Blind bought because I’ve got a decant of Creed delphinus and fell in love with its almond/incense notes and so I decided to get this one because I also love cherry notes. Holy smokes this stuff blew me away. That almond opening with that sexy, sophisticated cherry/incense/leather dry down that is nothing like I’ve smelled before. Made me not wanna get delphinus anymore.

I have to say, this is a unique fragance for me, It has the perfect balance between sweetnes and woody smell with that touch of almond, Guerlain has a top quality of fragrances. This smell, fancy masculine and sophisticated, eventough it's not so overwheling and long lasting, sure you will get you a couple of compliments, you could use It for as a signature fragance.

Yes, that's a 10/10 masterpiece. The scent is basically a red cherry surrounded by an almond/vanilla/tonka accord — a gourmand, no doubt. It does have the impression of an expensive liqueur, like @orthoxerox said. Very cozy and kinda sensual. Perfect for a date on cold nights. Performance is all right. God, Guerlain knows how to do winter/autumn fragrances!
