Mon Guerlain Eau de Parfum Intense

Let me just say I never did backup bottles because I mostly kinda roll with the latest trends and the older a perfume gets the cheaper - usually(!), but when I discovered the Mon By Guerlain lineup...I needed backup bottles on top of back up bottles on top of backup bottles. I feel like a squirrel that needs to save up as many acorns of this as possible because she knows a long, cold, winter is coming one day. Lol I NEVER want this scent to leave my life. I am so scared they will take this from me like a previous signature scent another brand dc'd, reformulated, then put back out like I couldn't smell the difference. When the sales lady sprayed the reformulation on me and I smelled it, I remember I looked back up at her with that face of contempt and simultaneously took a huge step backwards as if she had slapped me across the aisle, it was THAT different lol. I mourn the loss of that perfume constantly when I look at it missing on the vanity where it sat for so long. THAT can NOT happen to this one! I refuse to live in that world. Lol And they dc the MGs like they're nothing. Floralle is gone, Exclusif, EdT, Bloom of Rose EdT, probably forgetting 2 or 3 and may they RIP and hopefully come back one day in their legendaires lineup (isn't that what its called? All the ones in the inverted heart bottles?). But I want them to bury me with a bottle of this. Lol So elegant. So classy. So unique, but not so "unique" you give an, "Im not like the other girls" try hard vibe kind of "unique". So feminine. So beautiful. It makes me feel like the woman I want to be and hope I am. I love that Jeremy called it "what a wife smells like". Is that not the highest compliment from a man? Lol Whatever that means. I think everyone's wife smells different but I guess he meant in his head his imaginary wife smells like MG. Which is really nice because no one wants to smell like the side hoe. LOL I have so many perfumes by now my husband has stopped trying to remember a single one of the names long, LONG ago which is for the best because he might start looking at the price tags if he starts hearing names he recognizes lol thank god Guerlain is a bit more fancy than his taste in perfume maisons and he's never heard of them because I've bought 4 of the MGs and 2 backup bottles lol but, whenever I wear this one, he says, "Oh! You're wearing my favorite one today! Come sit..." so even though he's not interested in the brand name he certainly loves what the brand did, as he attacks my neck with his face. I'd wear this anytime anywhere for the rest of my life and if indeed I had to pick only one perfume to wear the rest of my life...this is her, hands down. I've been wearing and collecting perfume since middle school, worked in a perfume outlet store when I was a teenager (yes, remember those before they went online?!) I remember I was working the counter at Rue 21 in 2005 and a lady came in and I've only done this once in my life, because it's considered awkward to be all like "you smells soooo good" to a stranger where I live, I asked what perfume is that? It was Sunflowers by EA. I went on my lunch break and went down to the perfume outlet, bought Sunflowers for like $12 and asked if I could work there instead and it was on after that. I've never stopped collecting over the years and this one is just the perfect all arounder you could knock anything out of the park with this. Work, school, dates, chilling at the house, "wifeing" lol, I'd even wear this to the club OR the country club. Masterpiece. Our generation's, "Jicky (with lavendar wings)".

A modern classic. So beautiful. Absolutely stunning perfume. In 50 years time people will talk about Mon Guerlain like they do Chanel No5, Shalimar, Samsara, Poison, etc and lots of people will say "I prefer the intense version" while others will say the OG is better. I've left a review before when I didn't actually have it but I'd had a sample when it first came out. I remember feeling so posh and beautiful when I wore it. Now I've got a full bottle and it's just as lovely, albeit a bit different, as I remembered. I wasn't good at picking out notes and stuff then so I just remember a thick, sort of creamy/powdery sweet floral with liquorice. It is kinda that but it's much more too. It makes sense that there's two vanillas here because it's like there's the non gourmand vanilla (reminds me of the vanilla in Gentle Fluidity Gold), which makes up the main body of the scent, and then there's a sweeter gourmand vanilla in the background. I don't get loads of liquorice but it's there, it just blends in to the lavender so well that it's hard to tell them apart. The lavender isn't as strong in this one, it's much fresher in the original but this is more vanilla forward than lavender. Then there's the mid notes of rose, iris and jasmine. They're subtle but have a velvety feel. I can smell powdery orris even though it's not listed. When it's dried down it has a sort of lotion vibe, it's creamy, sweet and comforting. The patchouli is very subtle here, at least to me anyway, it's covered by creamy vanilla so it's not sharp. It's there though and I can notice it more than I originally thought. It reminds me of the patchouli in Allure, how that's more subtle than say something like Coco Mademoiselle. Same with the sandalwood, it's definitely there when I look for it but otherwise everything is just blended so well it's hard to pick things out. I eventually get the fuzzy, creamy, sweet, musk that ties everything together and rounds it all out. It's classy, comforting, sweet, floral, herbal, smooth, and just beautiful. Performance is decent but not as good as I'd like, unless I go noseblind to it. I don't think it's as strong as others have said. I'd say it's versatile enough to wear for work, a meal, a date, a wedding, shopping, sitting at home with a blanket and a good book, anything really. Not sure about clubbing but I suppose it would work. It's timeless. It doesn't follow any trends. It'd suit anyone of any age. I could see it maybe being a bit mature for someone really young but only in the sense they might not like it. It wouldn't feel out of place on someone really young. I kinda see what people mean by the Angel comparison, it's the patchouli mixed with the sweeter notes but they're very different overall and I'd never mistake one for the other. I think people who absolutely hate Angel could still love this and vice versa. Angel might be too sickly sweet and patchouli heavy for some, the patchouli can smell dirty. This might be too subtle and fresh from the lavender.

This is glorious, one of my absolute favourite perfumes. It is the most seductive and sexy aromatic vanilla. I feel like there is more vanilla in this than in the original. It's a sweet, spicy, creamy, buttery, rich and powdery vanilla. The base notes give the most seductive and dreamy dry down. It smells expensive. I also own Mon Guerlain and Mon Guerlain Florale and this is my favourite, followed by the original. It is so recognisably Guerlain from start to finish. Guerlain really are the masters of vanilla! I get a little nod to Shalimar from this, but only from the spicy Guerlain vanilla. No leather or smoke here to my nose. I have two bottles, one is slightly aged and matured, this bottle is much more intense, sweeter and denser and the vanilla is much richer and buttery. The colour of the perfume is also darker and deeper, the newer one is a much brighter and vibrant pink. Longevity is wonderful, I get a full days wear from it and no need to re spray. I once wore this and must have got some on the neck on one of my dressing gowns. I don't know how long later it was, days or weeks, but I picked up the dressing gown to wear it and it had the most beautiful and addictive scent, I couldn't stop smelling it. It took me some time to work out what was on it as it had dried down so much, but I'm certain it was either this or the original Mon Guerlain. I have received lots of compliments when wearing this, from both men and women. Sillage is quite strong, I know it leaves a strong scent trail and can fill a room with only 2/3 sprays, one on wrist and one/two on neck as colleagues have commented they can smell this as soon as they walk into a room, even when when I have left the room, so be careful around overdoing it. I would say it better suits colder weather, it's just so warm and cosy and I feel like it has the potential to be a little cloying in warmer weather. I love the bottle too, it's very feminine and classy. The juice is a lovely bright and vibrant pink. It would look beautiful on a dresser. I like the different collars on the bottle and different colours of the perfume itself. However - when you own several and store them inside a dark box, it is hard to see which fragrance is which, but I really don't mind as I like the continuity of the bottles. This is a Guerlain vanilla masterpiece. I will always have this in my collection for however long it exists and I will be heartbroken if it ever gets discontinued or reformulated!

Whoever compared Mon Guerlain Intense with a warm mother's embrace is spot on! I blind bought it and received it today, after giving away my original Mon Guerlain years ago (I wasn't wowed anymore), and I must say this is super beautiful and I love it! Mon Guerlain Intense is a safe (unless you hate lavender), calm (yet projecting), luxurious (smells decadent but put together), vanilla-lavender potion. On my skin, both the vanilla and the lavender are amped up, and I do not perceive much of a liquorish note (thank gawd because I'm not a fan). I can also smell the powderiness of the Iris and a lingering sweet/musky floral note, but it's so well blended that I cannot distinguish the flowers or even assign them a color (e.g. yellow, white, red), which is strange because my skin always amps up the jasmin (but I guess the lavender takes over). I ALSO get that "white chocolate' like note (that people mention often) after about an hour of wear, which is super delicious, comforting, and it also gives it a slightly gourmand twist. For me this is a daytime perfume (though you could certainly wear it at night for both classy and informal outings), best suited for weekend wear (lunches, birthdays, restaurants, events of all kinds), but you could also rock this in the office if you don't overspray (as it is quite sweet and can be cloying). I get about 8 hours on my skin with a strong projection and scent trail during the first 2-3 hours (with 6 sprays on moisturized skin). All in all, Mon Guerlain Intense is a stunning, ultra feminine, and well blended composition for those of us who like to smell pretty, approachable, warm, mature (without being old) and super classy in Spring, Winter and Autumn (this is not suited for summer).

EDITED MARCH 2025: I'm actually on my third 100ml bottle of Mon Guerlain Intense in less than six months. The more I experience this fragrance, the more I appreciate and love it. I am enjoying Mon Guerlain Intense MUCH more this time 'round (third time-third 100ml bottle) versus my earlier go-arounds with the fragrance. This perfume is actually really lovely, it is. But you MUST love FLORALS to enjoy this perfume. Lavender specifically. Mon Guerlain Intense is undoubtedly a warm & smooth, woody, vanilla-based fragrance. The EdP opens with heavy aldehydic florals (jasmine & lavender) and (some) citrus notes. And while I am NOT at all a fan of lavender fragrances, the lavender and opening florals in Mon Guerlain Intense are exceptionally well-balanced and well done. The development (mid & base notes plus dry-down) of MGI is what REALLY tugs at my soul. Beautiful, smooth, leafy, dry, patchouli emerges with more florals, some vanilla and a sweet hay note (which I imagine is the coumarin). There is a touch of amber in the base notes, along with warm sandalwood and musk. Over time, all the perfectly balanced notes harmonize and play off one another. The end result is really beautiful. IMHO, the perfect balance of jasmine & lavender, the musky-sandalwood base and the addition of coumarin maintain the perfume's youthfulness, freshness and definite mass-appeal. Duration is LONG and silage is moderate. I can see how some might find this perfume headache inducing, or even cloying. If this is a concern, I'd lightly apply...

The best mainstream vanilla, in my opinion. It opens with a certain dose of almost masculine freshness, something cool and dark. This dark touch is not heavy at all, it's simply refreshing (probably in combination with the citruses, which are not straightforward at all to my nose), but obviously hiding a certain depth, luring you in. As these top lavender/liquorice layers unfold, the fragrance warms up considerably, overtaken by powdery sweetness. The base gradually reveals itself and it is a delicious, slightly smoky, Shalimar-ish vanilla, resulting in a nutty, powdery, earthy, sensual drydown which lingers on your skin for hours. It's probably the addition of tonka, iris and patchouli (and likely other elements my nose can't identify) that enrich this chewy, "raw" vanilla. The florals are not too prominent to my nose, they rather add a certain "wet" touch, contrasting the powderiness. In comparison to the original edp, I find the Intense to be much superior. I perceive the edp as a relatively "flat", unexciting, albeit sophisticated pink sweetness. The Intense, on the other hand, has more depth to it and its sweetness is kept in line by other elements. That's probably why I can wear it in the heat, whereas I used to struggle with the regular edp in the summer (I'm not an oversprayer, though). This is very womanly and luscious, yet not too assertive. It is slightly blurry (for the lack of a better word), soft and tender, but with an edge. A great introduction to Guerlain.

Oh, my goodness, this perfume is drop dead gorgeous. Instantly in my top five forever and always. I haven’t instantly connected with a perfume like this since I tried Burberry Her. I can't explain the way this perfume makes me feel. Nostalgic, vulnerable, beautiful, stubborn and everything that makes me a woman. Let me try to explain without gushing or oversharing... The original Mon Guerlain was one of my favourite perfumes when I was younger, but the man who bought it for me turned out to be a monster and was very abusive. From then on, I couldn’t bear to to be reminded about what his idea was on how I should dress and smell like, and while I finished my bottle, I never wanted to return to those memories. I was gifted this for Christmas by a family member, and I’ve fallen head over heels for Mon Guerlain Intense. She’s bolder and more assertive somehow than before, but she’s still soft. Still a romantic at heart. Still believes in the fairy-tale. Airy lavender with a cool masculine edge with the plushest vanilla. Heavenly... Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, this perfume makes me remember and forget everything at the same time. It reminds me to be vulnerable, but also that I survived and am a stronger woman. I would never give that man credit, but I went from a woman who believed she couldn't survive without him, to someone who has evolved and is actively trying to do good in this world. I’ll never be without this gem now.

Mon Guerlain Intense is beautiful, but it's similar enough to OG Mon Guerlain--of which I have a nearly full bottle--that I don't think I need it. I agree with the reviews saying that it's essentially the same as the OG formulation, only with less lavender and more vanilla (possibly more tonka too). If someone isn't fond of lavender, I would recommend the MG Intense because it isn't as dominant; however, for me part of what made MG so special is that prominent lavender note, which gives what might otherwise be a hyperfeminine perfume a bit of the barbershop fougère vibe. MG Intense still has the lavender, but the overall effect is rounder and less crisp, a little fuzzier and more femme. Undeniably pretty, though, and very recognizably a flanker of MG--in fact, if I were to smell this in the wild, I might think it was regular MG, depending on how far along into the drydown the wearer was. Update: The iris is coming through on my skin now, and it's so, so beautiful. I don't smell it as much in the original MG, probably because the lavender note is so strong that it knocks it out, but whoa--this is one gorgeous iris, and it makes me think I'll probably run through this travel sprayer pretty quickly. I might say that this flanker is now tied with the original, although I personally can't rationalize having full bottles of both.

This is a new favourite and I don't say that lightly. I've been a gourmand lover for years but as time has gone on, I've started appreciating more green and aromatic scents. I was specifically looking for something that smelt like Champneys - Slumber, Awake and Calm, but perfume (seriously Champneys, you are sleeping on some major money by not making even EDT's!). Mon Guerlain Intense, is pretty close to Slumber. There's a large plume of lavender, bergamot and patchouli initially. But it quickly dies down into what I wish it would remain as intensely for longer. A beautiful powdery iris, gentle, sweet vanilla and resins, musky, soft lavender and a tonka blanket. It smells like a spa. Like Slumber. A luxury spa product that doesn't give you a headache. Base is warm resin, wood, vanilla and musk. It doesn't shout or demand attention, but you can't stop smelling it or chasing it on your skin. On clothing you get a much more clean and crisp fragrance from the bergamot, lavender and jasmine notes. It's much fresher. On skin it's divine. Both together, fantastic. I only wish Intense meant longer lasting, as it seems to fade to base super quickly and become almost a skin scent. This is firmly a new obsession. I hope I can find a fragrance that is stronger, has more lasting power, but the same balance. I adore this as is though.

I ordered a decant, and when I first opened the package before even spraying it, it smelled like the most delicious, expensive vanilla marshmallow scent in the world.... just heavenly! When I tried it on my skin and clothing, the licorice and patchouli notes were front and center, even overwhelming for my personal tastes. Fortunately, it's just a matter of minutes before the other notes begin to develop and shine. It's a rich, deep vanilla vs. a powdery vanilla. I agree with others in that the lavender here is "more polished and smooth" than that found in Burberry Goddess, but I enjoy her as well. This is now one of my favorite vanillas ever, and I look forward to buying a bigger bottle when I can afford it. :) ** Update 9/6/25 - I ordered a 3.3 oz for a great price during Jomashop's labor day sale, and no regrets whatsoever upon receiving it today! It's safe to say it's replaced Black Opium Le Parfum as my favorite fragrance. It's confident and bold, yet soft and comforting. My husband and kids love it and think it's so soothing and pretty.

I know a lot of women don’t appreciate lavender in their perfumes. Although, I think lavender makes a ladies’ fragrance a boss lady scent. So if that’s your turn off, turn away now! Once you get past the first five minutes of the lavender blast, the vanilla here is in fact the rich Shalimar vanilla. The sweet cherry-like drydown thanks to benzoin, sandal and pachouli, takes the cake! The cherry-vanilla duo stays through the wear, as the other notes come and go. I feel like this would be perfect for winter brides. Or to wear at formal events where one needs to evoke main-character energy. She’s classy. A Cadillac among cars. The Aishwarya Rai of perfumes, she’s commanding and timeless in a world chasing trends. Pro tips: Layer with fewer sprays of Lattafa Ana Abiyedh Scarlet for a great day time twist. We’re talking a sexy combination of sweet and tart cherries here. Layer with a few sprays of a lighter sandalwood frag like BBW Fields at Midnight for a dinner/date to make up for the deficiency of sandalwood in MG and make it slightly bolder.

This scent is amazing. It's very 'rich woman who wears designer clothes and carries a handbag worth more than my car while lunching at the Savoy'. It's very high-class and sophisticated smelling. I've never smelled YSL Libre Intense (I really dislike the original Libre so I've never bothered smelling the flankers) but for me, it's one of the better 'mature' scents out there. Not to say it doesn't suit all ages (I don't believe in age limits for scent), but I do think it would appeal more to older women, above 30. It lasts for along while and has pretty strong projection so be careful on multiple sprays. For me, it's floral and vanilla-y first before anything else. I don't smell licorice at all. Definitely not unisex at all. This is a very feminine scent. I would say it has a classic perfume sorta vibe. Not old-fashioned, but to me, definitely something you can imagine a 1950s Hollywood starlet wearing. This is, for the most part, completely unlike what I usually go for but it's just such a pretty, strong scent that I can't help loving it.

Wow wow wow! Vanilla bomb 🍦🍨💣💣 Totally wasn’t expecting this fragrance to be so vanilla forward but I am pleasantly surprised as a vanilla lover. I haven’t been impressed with most of the vanillas I’ve tried as of late (vanilla 28, nebras, cheirosa 62, Casablanca etc) all smell cheap, stale and not at all blended smoothly. This only became apparent when I smelled much better. This is one of the much better 🥳🥳 Yes I agree, at very first spritz you get vanilla extract that’s been sitting for years. Deep, resinous, full bodied POW in your face vanilla extract. That dissipates in about 30 seconds and then you get the most smooth delicious vanilla with a dab of lavender that keeps everything calm and beautiful 😍😍 This smells like the woman I dreamed of being as a little girl. Her style and aura is completely effortlessly feminine. I love a good femme bomb and this is it. One of the best vanillas I’ve smelled so far out of the designer realm. It’s definitely worth its 4.3 rating and hype. So happy I own a full bottle 💝💝

Possibly the best lavender-vanilla-licorice combo. Intoxicating, rich, sweet, deep, powerful and very addictive. Slightly powdery and spicy in the same time. It has been launched a few years ago and I don’t think you can find anything similar from other brands! It kept itself apart from the generic creations that flooded the perfume market in the past years. Mon Guerlain Intense and Thierry Mugler’s Alien Essence Absolue were my top picks for cold weather or when I needed a mood boost. Before all the niche stuff, these were it! Not that they smell alike, but both are very intense and enveloping and they gave me so much joy wearing them! Suitable for the fall and winter because it’s so rich and strong, it’s absolutely phenomenal. It’s an outstanding scent and that should be in everyone collection as other classics from houses like Chanel or Dior. Timeless classic... This, Champs Elysees and Teracotta (for spring and summer) are my all time favourites from Guerlain. Elegance in a bottle!!

In my humble opinion, the best Guerlain scent launched in the last ten years! A masterpiece of perfume created by a designer brand that decided to offer a lavender dominant perfume to us, ladies. Obviously, the vanilla and tonka beans are heavily concentrated in the composition, not just the lavender. As are the licorice, iris, patchouli and resins, but at a lower concentration. I think if I were to recommend someone new to perfumery a designer scent (and only one) that would be a stand out, Mon Guerlain Intense might be the number one that would pop into my mind. It’s one of those classic, timeless, elegant and beautiful fragrances that everyone should have... Nothing polarising or challenging about it. As a vanilla lover, I might come across as biased, but this is sooo good! And lasts, gets me compliments and it’s not massively overpriced like the ones from the Art&Matiere collection! It’s not the best perfume in the world, but it’s a really good, multifaceted vanilla.

While I may not have been impressed with the first Mon Guerlain and its subsequent flankers, I think Guerlain finally did this one right! They should have done the Intense version as the first Mon Guerlain and it would have been a huge success from the very beginning. This, IMO, is one of Guerlain's best modern creations, the true gem that makes all the other recent releases for the women's line pale in comparison. I tested it last night and couldn't stop sniffing my wrist, it was so damn good with its creamy, rich buttery vanilla, beneath which I could detect a cherry/almond aroma, most probably from the mix of licorice and coumarin. Guerlain still has the best vanilla you can find, also the longevity of the Intense version is above reproach. This perfume has character, depth, complexity and an uplifting quality I have rarely encountered in other fragrances. No wonder it was voted on Fragrantica as the best 2019 fragrance for women. It deserves to become a classic!

Out of the Mon Guerlain line the EDP Intense is hands down the most successful one. Although I like the Sparkling Bouquete and Bloom of Rose iterations as well. The Florale version is really a total miss for me, as it smells the worst kind of indolic you can imagine, close to fecal! In the EDP Intense, though, I like the really refined Guerlain mixing and blending of notes that somehow creates something very unique to this House only! It's indescribable, really, something airy and powdery and ephemeral, like a pink silk scarf... But when I say powdery, Narciso Poudree is also powdery, but it's a slap in your face, obvious and a bit vulgar type of powder, if you know what I mean. Not as sophisticated as Guerlain can do. Not even a very well blended Favourite by Penhaligon, which I love, is giving me this je ne sais quoi that Guerlain creates with their powdery scents. Once you spritz this on your hand in Sephora you can't stop smelling it. An absolute winner!

Bought a large sample of this over a year ago. Wore it on occasion throughout the year and took it on trips. For most of that time it didn’t have strong lasting power on me and felt too vanilla-forward...I hated to admit it but it fell a little flat. However this winter I sniffed the last few sprays in my atomizer, and NOW we’re talkin. The lavender actually has strength, depth and substance and isn’t drowned by the vanilla, and the vanilla is more interesting too. Overall all the other notes have strengthened and intensified, gotten more sophisticated and it was SO worth the wait. This will last long and project just enough. It totally holds up to what so many have raved about. Comforting, feminine, “wifey” vibes. Signature worthy for sure. I know lots of people can enjoy this without needing to wait over a year for it to macerate lol, that’s just what it took to catch my eye. Maceration and aging is no joke y’all

This is so beautifully done. The first initial spray opens up bright and with lots of lavender, then turns into a cozy, velvety vanilla and tonka bean dry down with hits of the original lavender. There's that sophistication that Guerlain carries out so well. The scent is not too sweet, preventing it from becoming too juvenile. It's perfect for those who like vanilla with an edge, not just pure gourmands. You're not going to smell like a cake with this but if you're into the likes of Diptyque Eau Duelle or Burberry Goddess, this would be a great choice.The trend for the past few years in perfumery has been photo-realistic gourmand and going back to Mon Guerlain has been such a breath of fresh air from smelling like cookie dough. I feel like a mother and wife wearing this - in a good way, of course. It makes me think of a comforting, safe person. I hope Guerlain never discontinues this.

I was at the mall and stopped by Bloomingdale’s to buy Shalimar Souffle, and the staff there told me I was the third person that day to ask about Guerlain and that they really think they should carry it given how popular it is, and suggested I check Sephora. Unfortunately, I didn’t find Souffle at Sephora, so I decided to give Mon Guerlain Intense a try (I already own the original), and oh my, my... it’s deep, mysterious, sexy, sassy-classy. I’ve never agreed with the whole “this is a mature scent” vs. “this is for young people” thing. It’s really about your taste and personality. I’ve seen teenagers pull off Trésor, and older women rock Viva La Juicy. This one though is all about attitude. It’s almost like it has a dress code and personality type - strong, confident, well-put-together woman. I’ve never smelled a Guerlain fragrance that didn’t impress me.

This is in my top 10, and probably will be forever. Love at first smell. It’s a heavy-ish, vanilla, lavender, patchouli, amber and bergamot combination which commands attention and respect, I think. The performance is excellent - not overwhelming but it sustains. It’s reminiscent of other scents but it stands out on its own. I do agree that sometimes it can smell a bit ‘grandma floral’ but I prefer to think of it as self-assured rather than dated. I like a lot of vanilla-heavy scents - if you like fragrances like Addict, Angel, Libre, Goddess, For Her Musc Noir, Dark Purple, Black Opium...you could love this too. Beware though: don’t overspray in a closed space, and know that it doesn’t play well with others (I once layered it with Goddess and was told I smelled like vomit...probably more Goddess’s fault there but lesson learned.)

Mon Guerlain Intense has that sparkle, that magic (thanks to the perfectly balanced dose of coumarin) that's sweet and reminiscent of licorice. I feel like a little girl eating the best candy outside a school, without sharing with my friends 😅. I really, really miss Guerlain releasing a sweet, slightly gourmand, vanilla perfume—something flirty, fun, and wearable for all ages. Now they only release new fragrances in exclusive or almost exclusive editions, or they relaunch the wonderful Shalimar Intense (which is bound to expire soon). What's happening to designer perfumes from big houses like Guerlain, Chanel, and Dior? Do they only release new fragrances exclusively? Are we just the commoners to them? Well, hey... there are millions of us... I hope they release a fun perfume for EVERYONE soon. I'm really bored with them lately 🤭

It took me a long time to finally buy the original. I owned multiple Guess Seductive Noir bottles in the past (I still highly recommend it). And finally I splurged on Mon Guerlain Intense. It smells like heaven to me. The lavender, the rose, the vanilla, the sandalwood. It's divine. I mix this fragrance with everything. It lasts the whole day on my skin and on clothes it seems to never go away, even after washing. Splurging on it was so worth it! This smells like a dream woman to me, someone that turns heads, is confident and successfull, a little mysterious, nurturing but strong. I indeed picture a woman that looks like Angelina Jolie or Monica Belluci. The intense version is also very powerful, the original Mon Guerlain is softer. This fragrance lingers in the room and in the mind, it's an absolute stunner.

I’m on my second bottle - and this perfume has stood the test of time in a collection that I am constantly thinning out. It remains as beautiful to me as it did on Day 01. A friend used to tell me I smelled “expensive” whenever I wore MG INTENSE, and I agree. My own word in encapsulating this scent, would be ‘rich’. The rich creamy Guerlain vanillas are one of the best & adds a luxurious thickness to the elegant tapestry. It lasts all day on me & if I just spray my wrists at days end, I wake up to the most exquisite vanilla skin scent. A true Gem I look forward to wearing each Fall and Winter holiday season. Mon Guerlain Intense is a marvel from Guerlain, and every winter I return to it with that eager anticipation of smelling something that captivates me and evokes such strong feelings. Few, truly very few, perfumes with an overdose of coumarin appeal to me, but the refinement of this house produces olfactory miracles, and I adore it... An awe-inspiring licorice, an intense, carnival-toffee licorice blended with the exquisite vanilla and carefully cultivated lavender gives me this beauty that I wear with such femininity. I'm noticing that it's starting to become scarce in some perfumeries, and quite a few at that. Is Guerlain going to change the bottle to include it in the Legendaries collection, or is it being discontinued? I prefer not to think the worst.

Such a beautiful, classic, yet modern, ultra feminine fragrance. This is so versatile...age, occasion, season, time of day, etc. Signature scent worthy. Great quality. well blended, non offensive, but has the perfect amount of sillage/projection. I smelt more licorice(not offensively tho), & Lavender, with just a touch of vanilla, musk & iris. But when people smelt me they got more vanilla, tonka, iris. Very interesting. Anyways I ADORE this simple gem of a glorious feminine perfume! Def give it a try if your looking for a simple yet beautiful Signature scent worthy frag. Ps: i HATE licorice....BUT this licorice is blended so well, it's not an attack to your senses. Its just an airy light licorice, adding depth and adds unique touch to this frag.

Sweet and very feminine, but complex and not cloying. The dominant notes to me are (in order) vanilla, lavender, patchouli and white musk, framed by a familiar "oriental" tonka base which is also present in Shalimar. I also get a hint of bergamot. I smell licorice only momentarily after spraying; it dries down into something sweeter, rounder, and less medicinal. People who don't like sweet perfumes might even prefer the licorice opening. I would avoid spraying this on clothes or hair because the patchouli note seems to require skin oils or body heat to stick around, and without patchouli the fragrance leans too sweet, in my opinion. I will probably wear this daily until the weather gets warmer or I get tired of it.

Omg, this is so yummy. I would consider this gourmand. I get just as much lavender from intense as I do in the EDP but intense is buttery and dense with amplified vanilla and coumarin. Intense gets creamier and woodier but retains a lot of the lavender as it dried down. I don’t experience the rose or the Iris as much in intense as I do the EDP. That’s the major difference to me; The EDP dries down to a beautiful soft iris - which reminds me of Maison Lancôme iris Dragees. I’m a huge fan of Guerlain but I usually go for their vintage fragrances or their higher end offerings. I’ve overlooked the Mon Guerlian line for too long- I’m gonna sample the rest.

After trying both the normal EDP and the Intense, I decided to buy the Intense for my mother. This is perfect for someone who is used to fragrances like J'adore (the original) and Channel No 5, but wants a slightly more youthful alternative. It reminds me of a sophisticated woman in her 30s, and can be used for almost every season (not as versatile as the normal EDP). The performance and quality is amazing for the price! You really cannot go wrong with this one. Although being a bit strong and filling the room, it is no way near being headache inducing, which is thanks to its luxurious and rich notes that complement each other wonderfully.

I found the original very pretty - delicate and elegant - with an undertone I couldn’t quite place but that I really loved. With this one, that very pleasant undertone has been brought to the forefront: licorice, of course! And yet, it’s almost identical to the original (to be sure, I re-tested the latter on my other arm), with the same vanilla, rose, and jasmine. But this really is an INTENSE version, where certain notes are amplified. Personally, I think I prefer this more powerful take; I’ve always loved strong, commanding fragrances. The original appealed to me, but it was a little too gentle for my taste - this one is simply perfect!

This is EVERYTHING I wanted the original Mon Guerlain to be!! I love lavender as a note, especially when it's done in a feminine way - and even though I have the original and really like it, it just doesn't have enough oomph for me. This one though.... swoon. It has such a beautiful creaminess to it and a lovely warmth from the vanilla - which is much stronger in this compared to the original. It's elegant, sophisticated, complex, smooth, feminine, sexy, buttery - it's just perfect in every way. The original is much more suited to everyday / office wear (in my humble opinion). This beauty is for the good times and happy memories.

Having just tested the original Mon Guerlain perfume, I am happy to report that this one is even better. The addition of musk was exactly the right thing to do for a more intense version of Mon Guerlain, and musk was what I found missing in the original and wished it had been included. I've noticed it being referred to as 'too sweet' by some reviewers online, and I must say I don't see that. This smells nothing like sugar, candy, or anything cheapish. On my skin this is a rich, opulent vanilla and warm and intimate musk and sandalwood. I will say I don't enjoy the opening of this on though. It's better 1 hour onwards.

HOLY..... oh my.... Now I see the difference between cheap dupes and an authentic real, long standing French perfume house! This... is unbelievable! I need more than this 1oz bottle! I need this to be around forever! This must be what heaven smells like! It’s the same as the non intense but with more anis in the opening which i LOVE (im a bug Lolita Lempicka fan) and then they calms down then the lavender is there and the overall scent it seems to be stronger and last longer! One is spring summer daytime One is fall winter nighttime Same juice different seasons. Wow! Words fail to describe!

of course, this is Mon Guerlain's older, wiser, sexier sister. it's still got the signature lavender-vanilla DNA, but the lavender is a little less prominent and the iris takes more of the stage (to my nose). it's a bit more powdery, but at the same time the patchouli keeps it from getting TOO much. as a lavender enthusiast, I do prefer the original since it's more lavender-forward, but I still think this is such a beautiful, alluring take on MG. stronger than the OG & lasts a little longer, too (which says a lot, since on me MG is eternal and fills up a room in seconds). 100% worth having!

If you love the OG, you will love this! It is so warm and cozy and has a lovely sweetness to it. It also has great longevity and sillage. 1-2 sprays and you're good for the day. It's perfect for fall and winter. It would be too heavy, IMO, for spring and summer. This is predominantly lavender with a sweet vanilla and a bit of woodiness. It does lean a bit feminine in the sense that it does not smell like typical men's cologne. But I think it would smell amazing on a man. I think this would be a bit too much for anyone under like 25. It's more of a grown-up fragrance.

To all Mon Guerlain Intense lovers! I would like to clear up the rumors about this masterpiece being discontinued. I recently contacted Guerlain, and they reassured me that Mon Guerlain Intense is not being discontinued, nor do they have any plans to discontinue it. Please don’t pay attention to so-called perfume "specialists" who claim to know someone who knew someone working for a particular brand. The companies themselves are the most reliable source when it comes to product availability. So, just relax and enjoy this wonderful fragrance—it’s here to stay! :)

Gorgeous, sensual, classy is what I feel when I wear this. Inoffensive and could easily be a signature scent if you’re that girl. Worth the money if you can find on a discounter site. I got a 1 oz for $50 which isn’t a bad price, but once I finish that I will absolutely buy a bigger bottle. This was a blind buy success for me. It’s what I wish Libre smelled like. The lavender in this is smooth. This is beautifully blended. Usually iris in perfumes gives me a headache , but not this one. Absolutely love this! Will always repurchase this one

This has become my signature as of lately, I absolutely adore this beauty. I think it’s perfect for 30’s plus as I’m almost 34. The lavender is timeless and the two kinds of vanilla is so stunning and the cozy tonka, everything blends so lovely. It’s so easy to wear especially for Fall and Winter, works in every season honestly. it truly is a strong, free, and sensual woman like the commercial says. It’s a fantastic gift idea for Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Mothers day etc...For your wife, girlfriend, best friend, auntie, mama or grandma.

Thanks to this perfume I got making my acquaintance with the world of scents. Still remember the day we spent the day with my best friend and came to the stand where all guerlain's parfumes stood by. I was choosing the appropriate one during an hour !!! When I met it I could say it was the love from the first sight. It's already been a year since I bought 50ml and it has still on the half of bottle *english isn't my native language and sorry for grammar mistakes I tried to express my feelings, didn't use the translator as well

I had to replace my large bottle from 2022, the juice was turning brown and the smell was becoming very medicinal and Vicks vapo rub like and lost the magic it once had. I was worried that my skin wasn’t agreeing with the perfume anymore. Once I got my new one the juice was a light purple and just as I remember it being when I first got it! This is one where you want a fresh bottle and maybe a smaller bottle so it doesn’t turn on you. This perfume, when you have a good batch is amazing. It will always be in my collection.

I wear/own so many fragrances and this is the only one that my husband compliments without fail. I wear perfume every single day and it's always crickets from him, except when I wear this one. Granted, he always mistakenly thinks I'm wearing Angel (how??), but enjoys when I wear it nonetheless. Very heavy, powdery lavender vanilla & coumarin. Great longevity and huge sillage. Truly intense. For me, not suitable for every day wear so I only break it out for special occasions. Perfect choice for a winter date night!

If the original EDP is a small town carnival, the intense version is Disneyland. She envelops me in a cloud of lavender and vanilla, but the lavender is not cheap smelling essential oil type lavender. Instead, it’s warm and rich and creamy and soft. The reviewer below me said it’s not for summer, but if you spray the air and walk through the mist, it blooms softly enough to work in the hotter months. The bottle is so elegant and the purple colour of the juice is the icing on the cake. It’s an absolute dream.

To me, Mon Guerlain Intense combines the classic and modern feminine perfume. As many people describe it, it can be “safe” and inoffensive because the notes go along the framework of what is popular in today’s fragrances for women. The classic aspect of it comes from Guerlain’s signature formula whispering through the composition. I can sense a bit of Shalimar or Mitsouko in this, Mon Guerlain Intense would be like the ultra-feminine modern granddaughter of these classic fragrances.

I have been meaning to get a bottle of Mon Guerlain Intense forever, and I finally bought a tiny 30ml bottle. The opening is sparkling, sweet, and soft lavender. From the very beginning, it smells very pretty and feminine. I smell a light licorice note, and as it dries, the vanilla becomes more intense, and it is a rich and comforting, plush vanilla. It is a delicious and beautiful perfume; I don't know why it took me so long to try it. I need a backup bottle immediately 😍💕🧁

Such a beautiful, well-rounded fragrance. I got a travel size last year, and when I first got it, I didn't see much of a difference between this and Guess Seductive Noir. Revisiting this a year later, I find this to be superior. It's bright and fresh but warm and cozy at the same time. All the notes play so well together. The weather is finally turning cool and I just want to alternate between this & Kismet Magic. I need a proper size bottle of this ASAP.

A masterpiece. My favorite of the Mon Guerlains will always be Mon Guerlain Extrait (that powdery vanilla dry down is out of this world), but this one is also crazy gorgeous, and much easier on the wallet. That bergamot-lavender-patchouli-vanilla blend feels at once modern and classic, sexy and exciting, calm and relaxing. I would happily smell like this morning, noon, night, even bedtime. Great projection and longevity, too.

i tested this at the airport and i accidentally got it on my headphones, i can still smell it on my headphones almost 4 days later and it is very pleasant. many people call this a vanilla bomb, but to my nose, the licorice and patchouli really stand out. i love it for that. might buy it when i'm low on my main cold weather fragrance (l'interdit intense if anyone cares) update: it's been 13 days and i still smell it

This is one my favorites. I first tried the EDP but was frustrated with its performance. So I asked for the intense for my bday and this is so much better! It still wears light but more of an ethereal light. It lasts about 5 to 6 hours if I do about 5 or 6 sprays. The lavender is smooth and the vanilla and licorice balance each other out. I get more compliments on this perfume than any of my others. Very elegant.
