Mon Guerlain Extrait

The present Extrait version is quite différent from MG EdP and it's flankers. More intense, for sûre, but mainly with an earthy and almost woody twist (reminding Habit Rouge Extrait versus EdP), due to an uptuned Jasmine - probably not the same used in the EdP - and an uptuned Iris. As a conséquence, lavender and rose quit the forefront and find themselves relayed to the backstage. Nothing gourmand here, Mon Exclusif's almonds and toffee are just gone, nowhere to find No layering expériments with other MGs... yet... the Extrait is just too great... for now... but in the long haul I'm sure I won't resist. A truely unisex juice. The name seems strange to me, so différent it is from the other frags of this line.

Absolutely stunning. I much prefer this over the intense version. It’s so smooth and comforting. It’s a deep vanilla that isn’t overly sweet. My two favorite fragrances are Mon Guerlain EDP and the extrait. I currently love to wear the EDP during the day and then the extrait at night. I’m so glad I decided to make this expensive purchase. The price is ridiculous but I have zero regrets and will repurchase once I’ve used it up. That’s how lovely this scent is to me. The whole Mon Guerlain line is perfection but the extrait is extra special.

I wish there was more feedback on this scent. It’s not very popular in the USA, and it’s incredible expensive. That said if you like the Mon guerlain DNA but find the others too sweet, try this. It’s so lovely. Smooth, long lasting, high quality perfection. It’s like they increased the vanilla, but not the sweetness. The lavender is very much present, but doesn’t have the harsh edges lavender can sometimes have. I ordered this in a bee bottle from Place Vendôme Haute Parfumerie and had a great experience.

My signature scent, and what I believe Nirvana to smell like. The opening is similar to Mon Guerlain Intense, but the dry down of Extrait is an incredible and indulgent experience. It's unlike any other vanilla I have come across.

This smells way too similar to the original Mon Guerlain EDP to warrant that ridiculous price tag. 8/10

I don't understand those that say this is too similar to MG Edp to justify. This is the most woody of all the flankers and while it's not listed above, I swear this has a heavy dose of coumarin as I get rich marzipan/hay base for the lavender and vanilla to play on. The extrait also has a different texture which comes across syrupy for the first few hours then powdery. It's absolutely gorgeous and I'm happy I sold some bottles off to buy a bee 🐝🐝

If I had to choose a fragrance to wear everyday it would be this. Perfect for any occasion. Lightly sweetened florals that are never too sharp or indolic. So elegant yet comforting. No surprise I love this since the original Mon guerlain was my signature.

Yes, it's new perfume and its available since long time ago in Guerlain Boutique in Paris, the perfume is available as Refill only.
