Mon Guerlain

Whenever I smell this fragrance, even though I wore it before I gave my mom some, it just reminds me of my mom - sweet, homey, warm - when people say this is a wife/mom fragrance it's very true. It has a very calm sweetness, and easy refinement that doesn't feel like it's trying to hard. I saw a comment about this being like 'Wealth whispers' and I 100% agree. Also, my mom loves this fragrance (it's probably an all time favorite for her) so there's that part too. However, if you wear it before that point in your life, don't worry! It's not old lady at all - just mature in the best way possible. Smells like a secure woman. I will say, this fragrance does lean sweet. I wouldn't say that I'm a huge gourmand person - a lot of people compare this too Burberry Goddess, and I find that disgustingly sweet while this is great in it's sweetness. (**Edit: Tried Burberry Goddess again today, and the Intense version is great! Also the Intense and OG don't feel too sweet anymore but that could always be a change of taste - however it definitely has a spicy peppery-ness, so if you want that go for Goddess, but if not Mon Guerlain**). If you are looking for a clean fresh lavender this is not either - it strikes a balance between sweet and herbal, and overall I haven't smelt much like it - I tried to pair this scent with other lavender/vanilla body care and its definitely distinct from those products. The pink pepper note at the beginning (I'm really surprised that's not listed here because I have always found that super prevalent in the opening, but it could be something similar so feel free to correct me) is strong, and so if you're taken aback give the fragrance it's time on your skin, and eventually you'll enjoy the opening as part of the 'experience.' However, one of my close friends hates when I spray this around her, and I'm pretty sure its because of this smell and negative associations with strong perfumes she has, so I'd keep that in mind. I will say, as much as I love this fragrance, there are a couple things that hold me from calling this a signature: 1. Runs sweet, and it would definitely be cloying in the summer. Then again, I live in a super hot and humid environment in the summers, so most perfumes have this effect. However, the fragrance has a very warm composition and wouldn't smell 'clean' per say. I'm also in general not a huge fan of wearing warm-sweet perfumes all the time, and this is a little too much in that direction for me. 2. Can come across as 'perfumey' - Compared to most other designer fragrances, this one is definitely very special, and I feel like has a distinct edge that separates it from many other fragrances, but the combination of notes can give it the lack of 'distinctness' in specific indefinable smells (aside from lavender vanilla?) and a similar sweet flowery-ness that is common in perfume, so even though its different it is still definitely a perfume smell. 3. The longevity is terrible on me. I smell it for 30 minutes, and then others can if there really close for an hour or two, but otherwise it's gone. Lasts better on clothes, but still weak. In terms of sillage it's okay and within distance, but with how short it lasts its hard to really give it a good sillage. It is a compliment getter, but for me only within the hour of spraying it. Also, if you layer perfumes or decide to add a vanilla to go with it, the perfume will be suffocated by that smell and then it's gone. I have read that the mon guerlain body lotion helps, and that oil perfumery has a mon guerlain impression that lasts a lot longer. if you were to want this perfume to last more than an hour or two, I'd follow doing that. Overall, a great perfume, but the lasting power is really bad, so I don't wear it too often. In an odd way, this perfume reminds me of Dave by Henry Rose, so if you like this I feel like you'd like the complexity of that (however that smells like almond praline vanilla compared to lavender vanilla, so not a alike smell, but an alike vibe (?)) and it lasts a lot longer.

Beautiful, romantic, softly sweet, feminine, warm, sensual, seductive, classy, elegant, chic, charming, delightful, sophisticated, luxurious, classic, smooth, warm spicy, woody, aromatic, powdery, fresh spicy, tempting, addictive, alluring, graceful, timeless, inviting, soothing, calming, uplifting, dreamy, whimsical, radiant, luminous, cozy, comforting, versatile, nostalgic I’m so excited that I finally got this one! I have heard so many great things about it, and it definitely doesn’t disappoint! I’ve always heard that it was similar to Burberry Goddes, and even somewhat like YSL Libre. Yes, all 3 fragrances are similar in that fact that they’re all lavender vanilla scents. I think Libre is the least similar because it has an almost cold feeling to it, as well as a sharpness (both I think are coming from the amount of lavender). Burberry Goddess is closer, but still different... even different enough to have both in your collection (which I do!). Goddess is more vanilla forward, a little warmer, with no floral notes besides the lavender, and no spicy coumarin or patchouli. On me this opens with fresh lavender, bright bergamot, slightly powdery and floral Iris, lush jasmine sambac, and warm, sweet, and sensual Tahitian vanilla. As it dries down it becomes warmer and more sensual as the vanilla becomes more prominent, while the benzoin adds a coziness, the creamy woody scent of sandalwood is comforting while adding depth, and the coumarin and patchouli add more depth with their soft and warm spicy scents. This is very well blended with the notes balanced beautifully. This is such a classy and elegant fragrance, and would make a lovely choice for a signature scent. I feel so put together and chic whenever I wear Mon Guerlain. It’s very feminine, and would easily suit women of all ages. I think this is one of those fragrances that can work really well throughout the whole year. I feel like this is suitable for all occasions, from at home and casual, to work and/or school, to date nights and fancy occasions. This is definitely full bottle worthy, and something that I highly recommend. I get great performance with Mon Guerlain. The longevity is very good, it lasts about 8 hours on me. The projection is nice, it radiates out 3+ feet from me. It’s somewhat subtle, but definitely still noticeable considering how many compliments I’ve already received on it in just the 5 days or so that I’ve owned it. So it also really appears to be a real crowd pleaser. This opens with aromatic lavender, a splash of bright bergamot, rich and powdery Iris, velvety rose, and just a touch of lush jasmine intertwined with a beautiful, sensual, and woody vanilla. As it dries down it grows more deep and sensual as the powdery vanilla, warm spicy coumarin, creamy sandalwood, cozy benzoin, just a soft twist of dark licorice, and earthy patchouli envelopes the powdery florals. This is so well done, and incredibly smooth. It’s balanced and blended beautifully. It’s complex, sophisticated, and luxurious, yet extremely wearable. It feels timeless and ultra feminine in the best way possible. It’s so very sensual, romantic, and even seductive. It has a somewhat classic feel to it, yet it’s also somehow modern. This can easily work for all occasions, and it would certainly make a gorgeous signature scent. To call it a masterpiece seems fitting. The reviews are definitely right about this one, and so are the people who recommend it. It took me quite a while before I finally got this one through a chance blind buy. I’m not super into florals, I tend to go for more sweet vanillas/gourmands, or beachy/coconuts. However, I heard so much about this one, and how incredible Guerlain does vanillas, and they weren’t wrong. I very highly recommend this. At the very least it’s worth testing, and it’s a safe blind buy. As for me, this will always have a special place in my collection. The performance is excellent. The longevity is impressive, it lasts throughout the day on me, and I can still smell it the next morning. The projection is really good, it radiates out at least a few feet from me, and that’s just with 2-3 sprays. Upon first spray you are hit with a fresh, spicy, sweet blast unlike any other fragrance I have ever encountered. The dry down starts to happen immediately first turning a bit powdery and aromatic. The lavender starts to become present for a moment followied by subtle hints of the vanilla peeking through. The woods are subtle in this one with only a hint of sandalwood. Once I stepped outside into the cool morning air the licorice shined through in a gentle way as well as the jasmine and iris. The patchouli is lurking in the background a bit but it gives off more of a cinnamon vibe in my opinion with a hint of green note. I would definitely place this fragrance into the floral group with sweetness coming through from the vanilla. I would say that this fragrance is far from a gourmand in traditional sense but can see why some people would consider it one. It does have a sweet lovely dry down, just not one that I would describe as edible. I know that Mon Guerlain is frequently compared to Burberry Goddess and although they do share the two main notes of lavender and vanilla, they are very, very different scents. Mon Guerlain is a much more complex fragrance. Mon Guerlain brings a calm, warm, snuggly feeling like being wrapped in a freshly washed warm fluffy blanket. It has a creaminess to it that glides over you. This fragrance could be for a younger or older woman but it definitely has an air of sophistication about it. I would consider it to be a more serious fragrance as opposed to a playful one. In my opinion it has good silage and lasting power. I used one spray on my chest before bed and it was still present in the morning. I blind bought this fragrance after watching many reviews and comparisons to Burberry Goddess. I absolutely love Goddess and took a chance at this fragrance. I am not disappointed one bit. I have even layered Goddess and Mon Guerlain and have had people asking me what I am wearing or telling me that I smell good. If you love lavender and vanilla I would highly recommend that you try this out.

I bought this because I love vanilla and lavender scents, though bold florals are usually outside my comfort zone (I'm a gourmand stan). That there were so many heart-note florals on the note list kind of scared me, admittedly. I have to say... holy freaking cow. I was not expecting how GOOD this smells. It's like getting a warm hug from some universal mother figure and rocked to sleep. The bergamot makes it a bit sharp on the opening (but still elegant, I feel), but oh my god the DRY DOWN. It's soft, it's sweet, it's powdery, feminine---it's the most amazing scent I've literally ever smelled. I had originally gotten a little 2ml decant because I wasn't sure if I would like it. I then bought a 1oz bottle two days later because I was spraying myself all the dang time and used up the tester in a weekend. Then I heard it might be reformulated or discontinued, so I then bought a 3.4oz bottle a week later, because I will probably literally die without this smell. It's so feminine and beautiful, the iris and lavender are doing a lot of heavy lifting. The vanilla is present throughout but it's not sugary or overly sweet. If the opening is quite sharp to you, really give it about five to seven minutes. It becomes the most amazing smell once it develops a little bit. I didn't have a signature scent and then Mon Guerlain entered my life. Welp, guess it's Mon Guerlain now. Word of caution to those who don't like powdery scents. This IS powdery. I find that it's not a dated, vintage powdery, but if powdery scents put you off, you might want to skip. Biggest downside for me is that it doesn't project for very long. I find myself reapplying often. I am going to try the Mon Guerlain Intense to see if it remedies that issue, but it shrinks down to an intimate, not-quite-skin scent after about three hours. However, the smell will stay for like eight hours at that intimate-to-skin level.

This is the perfume of quite luxury, how you would smell an old money woman in her 30s to smell like. It is a generic smell but not generic at the same time. Like all other perfumes that may smell like it will not have it's complexity . I do not care about complexity of a perfume more that it's smell but in this case what makes it different from other kinda knock off ones or similar ones is how well done it is and how there is this complex pretty smell they won't be able to pull off. When i bought it at 1st i hated it for having the tonke bean smell which smells a little like (zarda) tobacco used in my country as a cultural welcoming chewable leaf for mostly the elder gen. However, i literally was obsessed with CH good girl back then and thought it was the end game(i might not buy it for a second time bruh). But after my friends told me how it smells like old money or rich women in sophisticated parties i gave it another sniff to find if they were actually making sense or not. This is my top favourite perfume now. I was just hit with the realisation that it just smells like a classy, sophisticated, lady. I just couldn't name her. After seeing Angelina Jolie as it's face(lol), I have to say this is the portrayal of her in MR nd MRS Smith where she was wearing that black dress in the restaurant and was a having the guts to take down her husband or the scene where she ran away from her office to another building's roof and looked back at Brad Pitt. (Sorry for the weird visualization) You just are reminded of k*lling with the feminine aura vibes from this. Edit: this is a perfume for winters for me now. But can be worn year round just best for winters.

Warm, cozy, comforting, elegant. These are the first associations that came to my mind each time I was testing Mon Guerlain. I usually don’t like sweet fragrances, but I have to admit that vanilla here is so well balanced. It’s not aggressive, nor synthetic. It’s so creamy, smooth and sensual. Pairing it with lavender is a nice and interesting idea and I have to admit that they give such a comforting and fluffy effect together. Comparing it to Libre or Goddess - I like Guerlain the best, but not gonna lie, I might be biased because I adore this perfume house. At least in my skin, Mon Guerlain gives the most natural and high quality effect. Honestly, at first I was expecting some simple crowd-pleaser and while it is indeed pleasant, I don’t think it’s boring or unoriginal. It develops on skin (and longevity is pretty good) and for the entire duration makes me feel at ease. It’s so comforting fragrance and if perfume has an impact on my mood or how I feel, I always give it better score and I consider it a true art :) It’s a modern composition from Guerlain, but the house still maintains its high quality. I know that there are voices saying that MG is worse/less complex than legendary creations from the past of this house. I would lie by saying that I disagree, but let’s also remember that Guerlain is not a niche and they follow the current trends to earn money. And thanks to that, those who love the classics the most can still enjoy them and those who want to see their favorite house doing something new, support them. Anyway, end of off topic - I simply encourage you to check Mon Guerlain and I recommend it to all vanilla lovers :)

I could cry! At last I have my perfect fragrance. It's taken me so long to find a perfume that sits well with me on so many levels. I have tried many fragrances after reading reviews, and have often been so disappointed. I am going to try not to repeat the positive reviews here, and I'm no fragrance expert, but words that come to mind when describing this scent are 'comforting, clean, soothing, warm, cozy, fresh, sensual, hug-in-a-bottle, come-closer'. I know that fresh and cozy seem like contradictions, but what I'm thinking about is that lovely smell that radiates from freshly laundered and tumble dried fluffy towels and cotton shirts. Clean, snuggly, warm. But for me it's sexy, too, in a polished sort of way. There is an undeniable sweetness to Mon Guerlain, but unlike so many other vanilla fragrances, it is not cloying, overwhelming or headache inducing. I have come to accept that, although I adore vanilla in food, I can't accept it as a body fragrance Unless it's subtle, light and blended with fresher notes as we see in this beauty. More importantly for me, there is no screechiness. It's smooth and well rounded. Oh my, I absolutely adore this perfume and I'll never stop wearing it. It's my signature scent. Oh, and such a compliment getter! I've never received so many positive comments about a perfume before.

The most beautiful perfume I have had the pleasure of owning, if I could only wear one perfume for the rest of my life it would be this. Whilst I can't resist trying other scents I always go back to Mon Guerlain, it can be fun to try others but I feel myself and at home when I wear this. The lavender is so beautiful in this perfume, I have been fond of lavender since I was a little girl. It's soothing scent never fails to make me feel calm and this perfume also does that for me, calm and serenity in a bottle. There is something relaxing and cosy about it yet it doesn't stray into essential oil style aromatherapy. The lavender works beautifully with the other notes to create a very well rounded, elevated perfume. It is classy, elegant yet cosy and fluffy from the vanilla at the same time. Guerlain always gets vanilla right, there is nothing synthetic or sickly about their vanilla. All in all this is a signature worthy, soft lavender vanilla perfume. A cosy hug in a bottle and timelessly feminine. I find it to be suitable all year round and for any occasion whether it be work, formal or casual. The only time I find it is a bit much is in the height of summer on very hot days. Other than that I believe this is a must have for any collection, a true masterpiece.

She's so beautiful. One of my favourite perfumes ever. I love this lavender, vanilla and liquorice combination. I don't even like liquorice, but in this perfume it's spectacular. It's so well blended that all of the notes belong perfectly together and create such an interesting scent. As I love the dry down of this perfume so much, on the days I decide to wear it, I spray it on my clothes or scarf the night before before and let it sit all night. I love the way my clothes smell on the next day. I keep getting whiffs of this beautiful perfume and in this stage (approx. 6-8 hours later) it doesn't project as much any more, meaning that it's safe to wear in the office or on the train/tube without offending anyone. It's still very much there though, just not as projecting. It is brilliantly long lasting. And it just stays in this beautiful dry down for the rest of the day. Just enough to keep me happy, but not too much to intrude anyone else. Even though it's not a super potent perfume and to me rather gentle, some people can't handle the lavender or liquorice very well and that's why I'm trying to avoid leaving the house with it freshly applied. I love it so much. It's so feminine and warm. I will always have a bottle of Mon Guerlain.

Wore this out for the first time today, and I am so enamored by it! Will have to wear it for a few more days to really get to know it, but so far, here are my thoughts: Longevity is okay, nothing impressive. I get about 4-5 hours of wear. In the first 2 hours, it projects a whole lot (and I love that!), and it gets softer in the 3rd hour. But the weird (good weird!) thing about it is, in those last 3 hours of wear, the scent surrounds you like a halo of sweet creamy vanilla-lavender. I feel like there's this aura of lavender and vanilla just glowing off of my skin. I don't have any other perfume that behaves like this. I love the scent of lavender in everything, which is probably why I'm so SMITTEN with this scent. I imagine, if you're not a big fan of that note, this might feel a little too... herbal for you, most especially in the beginning. I do also get a very, very, very faint smokey note in the later stages. I'm loving this so far. It's such a perfect balance of sweet and calming, and modern and comforting, and feminine with a hint of smoke & herbs. I just wish it lasted longer on my skin! But - I have a hunch that this will become my signature scent! But we will see after a few more full wearings :)

I love lavender, which is mainly used in men’s or unisex perfumes. I alternate between this and YSL Libre, which is fresher but less distinctive. I probably wouldn’t wear this in summer much, but it’s warm and comforting as a cold-weather perfume, and it reveals many rich layers as the day goes on. It is very strong, and I would never call it “lame”, as one reviewer has done. Far from it: two or three sprays are more than enough for me to smell it on myself constantly throughout the day. I bought it first as a tester after searching for lavender-based fragrances for women, and I loved it. Then I bought an “inspired by” copycat version very cheaply, which smelled so authentic that I recognised it immediately among three other dupes bought as a “buy two, get a third one free” deal. This made me get to know this recipe better so I finally treated myself to the real thing, in its elegant bottle, knowing full well that most of the cost of a big-brand perfume is the marketing and the packaging. I’m still using the dupe and using the real one on special occasions — I want that lovely bottle to last forever! Some of Guerlain’s bottles have screw-top atomisers and are refillable, but sadly not this one.

Last year I bought 5 ml decant for testing based on notes. I fell in love immediately. That much that I asked the same guy to sell me half the bottle (maybe a lil bit more than 50ml). This is an older batch maybe 7 years old. It's sweet, powdery, classy, elegant. For me it's very romantic and sensual. I love it from the opening til the dry down. It changes through stages a lot, but I love every step. It's perfect for winter, tho I was wearing it last summer and the sweetness didn't bother me at all. Notes are well blended, to me it's really cozy. I'm looking to buy a new bottle, but my concern is is it maybe reformulated? I don't have a chance to test it, just to order it. Edit: I bought new bottle, that is 2 years old :) and the smell is the same, maybe a lil bit more fresh or light at the beginning, after few months it's starting to get deeper color and smell almost the same as 7 years old bottle. I think it's going to be rich and deep soon same as the old bottle. Def became my favourite perfume, only perfume other than this one that I like so much is BDK Gris Charnel and my old Emporio Armani Lei (before reformulation). All 3 are different, but yet give me same comforting vibe.

One of my most recent perfume loves over the years has been the OG YSL Libre. The strong lavender note in it is intoxicating to me. So, when I heard that Mon Guerlain had a prominent lavender note, I had to give it a try! I know that lavender can be a polarizing fragrance note, with many calling it "screechy." Personally, I LOVE the "screech" that lavender gives to so many fragrances, so I think you can guess where I stand on Mon Guerlain now. If you love the OG YSL Libre, then you should love Mon Guerlain and vice-versa. They aren't the same fragrances, but they both certainly give that "fresh laundry out of the dryer" vibes because of that strong and sharp lavender note, in my opinion. YSL Libre, I would say, is the sexier fragrance of the two because of the incorporation of the orange blossom and musk (makes it more of an intimate "skin scent," IMO). Mon Guerlain is the classier, sweeter one of the two. The lavender in Mon Guerlain is warmed up with the tonka bean and licorice, making it a cozier lavender ... It smells like a warm hug to me. I can see why many call Mon Guerlain a "wifey" or a "mom" perfume ... But mean that as a good thing!

I didn't fall in love with this fragrance right away. Since its release in 2017, I spent quite a long time "warming up to it," until around 2022 when I finally bought it, and then later, the Intense version. After that, I sold the original... only to buy it again in 2025, and now I'll explain why. I really, really like the scent itself, and many of my friends have said: "Why do you even need the regular Mon Guerlain when you have the Intense version?" Yes, the Intense is very deep, rich, and interesting. But in my opinion, it's NOT suitable for everyday wear. The original version, however, handles this perfectly. It doesn't require a lot of thought, its longevity is a solid 4 out of 5, and it won't choke anyone out. It's lighter, more delicate; you feel like you're wrapped in a delicious vanilla cloud. Every time I bring my nose to the skin where I've applied this scent, I think: 'This is the fragrance of a very beautiful woman; the person wearing it couldn't possibly be ugly.' (This isn't about me, by the way. It's about the overall vibe of the fragrance). So, love can come not at first sniff)

I'm a bit confused, where is the lavender? Don't get me wrong, I am ecstatic that I cannot smell it as I do not like lavender, but I am confused as it's supposed to be a standout note of this perfume. I was expecting a sharp, bitter lavender and I cannot smell it at all. At the 1 hour mark this is pure vanilla on my skin. Now entering the 2nd hour, it smells incredible, vanilla and sandalwood stand out. Edit: (+2 hours): The dry-down is very creamy. It's nice but doesn't feel very complex right now. I will report back. Edit no.2 (+7 hours): It's now been 7 hours since I first sprayed it on my wrist. One spray only, the scent remains. It's mellowed down to an even more pleasant, intimate, exquisitely creamy vanilla. I have a paper tester next to me that I sprayed at the same time I sprayed my wrist, and the tester of course smells nothing like my skin. While my skin has more or less been smelling like milky, vanilla caramel cream over the last 7 hours, the tester smells exactly like the first hour of Alien by Mugler, aka. a creamy jasmine.

Wow! It took me a year to decide to buy Mon Guerlain on a blind buy because not one store near me has it to try and I wasn’t sure how much I wanted to sway from my love of Chanel. I do have a few others I love like Issey Miyake, Dior Pure Poison, and Donna Karan’s Cashmere line. I was holding off on Mon Guerlain because, though many stores do offer returns on gently used fragrance, I didn’t want to waste a bottle. But I finally decided to go for it since I’ve never had to return a perfume on a blind buy and kept reading positive reviews. This is a very unique and well-blended fragrance. It smells like nothing I have smelled before. It’s like a spa in a very chic hotel. The vanilla note is perfect. It’s wonderful from first spritz. The sillage is excellent even with just one spritz on the wrist to test. I hope they always sell Mon Guerlain because I think this may be a new signature for me. I never thought I’d have another love competing for attention with Chanel no5, but here we are, Mon Guerlain. Nice to meet you.

Half a decade ago I was guided towards this parfum by an engaged worker at an airport perfumery, after having tried dozens of parfums of all kinds that didn't quite interest me. This one did. It lingered on my clothes for 2 weeks, though I bought it after 2 days. This longevity is also the reason I almost exclusively apply it on fabric rather than on my skin - such longevity cannot come from healthy ingredients. It obviously smells different on clothes than on skin. The initial sharpness is basically non-existent, it's overall less complex, and has a more stable, sweet scent. All of this makes it easier for me to wear. On skin, the first 2 hours aren't my cup of tea, but over time, the smell becomes incredibly beautiful. There are changes every hour or two, it's fun to smell my wrists all day long and always discover a new scent. Personally, it's a daily winter fragrance for me, especially for work. All my coats smell of this and will do so for the foreseeable future. My summer equivalent to this is Light Blue.

Mon Guerlain... What a sophisticated beauty you are! I smelled this for the first time on a colleague which instantly reminded us we had one love in common: Perfume! This one is so soothing, so feminine, soft, warm and embracing. I am a big fan of lavender, though sometimes seen as a more masculine scent, Thierry Wasser has managed to create a scent that is beautiful, its non offensive and again soothing! I love wearing this after a shower, but its also great more classy occasions, its there but not overpowering. Some men said this what you would like your wife to smell like. I think it's a scent which is suited for 25+ someone who's secure of herself, but still soft, warm and caring. I am the proud owner of the EDP, the Intense, the discontinued EDT and Sparkling Bouquet. All similar with the lavender, but all have a slightly different personality, but this one is where the love started and I cannot imagine going through life without this beautiful sophisticated lady! Hope they never discontinue this 💕

She’s a beauty. I was afraid I wouldn’t love this since my expectations were so high given the amazing things I have heard about this fragrance throughout the years. Then again, I also figured it would be impossible to not like it and it was probably a pretty safe blind buy since I enjoy stereotypically feminine scents. She is floral and sweet. I get some citrus in the beginning and the lavender is very prominent. The other note I pick up on is vanilla. I think that’s where the magic lies. The lavender is balanced perfectly by that sweet vanilla. This is giving me fairy princess vibes. Very feminine, not juvenile or too mature. Just womanly and beautiful. My husband immediately commented I smelled sooo good. My only complaint is I think I go noseblind to this after a couple of hours. Others could smell it on me and it was still projecting after around 4 hours of wear. This is going to get tons of wear. It’s an easy reach, timeless and seasonless. Perfection. I want to try the intense version next.

It took me a while to get on board with this perfume. There is so much love from the perfume community, so I blind bought it about a year ago. Upon first sniff, I didn't understand what all the love was about. The licorice note was earthy-medicinal and didn't settle well with the vanilla. It was sub-par IMO. BUT, given some maceration time (close to a year), the licorice note no longer sticks out like a sore thumb to my nose. All the notes, vanilla, lavender, woods, and licorice, now play together so nicely. Mon Guerlain's EDP is quite sophisticated and original. It can be worn all year round for any occasion. There isn't any other perfume out there (other than its flankers) that smell like this. It never leans too sweet or too aromatic. I love pairing it with Molecule 01. It supports the licorice note so well. Overall, very versatile. It can layer with many other perfume profiles and can be worn year round. 9/10.

So beautiful . I can’t believe it took me this long to own this fragrance. I bought the Bloom of Rose EDT years ago which is brighter, citrusy and lighter than this and I also the Intense just last month and thought - I need this dna forever in my life . I need to have the OG. This is less dense than the intense , and the vanilla isnt as thick and not as long lasting. Even still, it’s still so beautiful and do not regret this purchase even if it’s a bit redundant since I have the intense. The vanilla isn’t as sweet but airy, and the lavender is balanced which gives it freshness . There’s some powdery and light woody tones that makes this sophisticated and great for everyday where as the intense is more deep and rich which I could only use in winter. This one is great for any occasion and whether when you want to feel classy, put together and feminine. This is the best vanilla- lavender perfume ever

The most beautiful thing I've ever smelled Stunningly, achingly beautiful in a way that actually stops me in my tracks to pause and take it in when I'm wearing it. It makes me feel powerful yet intuitive, calm yet energized. The perfume that started it all for me and got me into fragrance as a hobby. I absolutely adore it! My beloved signature scent. Versatile for all seasons and situations except for the absolute hottest/humidest of summer days, yet never cloying or too sweet - just the perfect creamy sandalwood + non-gourmand vanilla + tonka/coumarin base, with lavender to lift it up so it's not too dense & still has an airiness. Incredibly sophisticated-smelling yet not "old" or stuffy. I also think it could work beautifully as a unisex scent. Just amazing. I recommend everyone to at least try it!

I don't understand some of the reviewers and fellow perfume lovers who make it sound like a perfume that is "easy and lovable" is a bad one. Mon Guerlain is beautiful, easy, creamy, poudery vanilla. Not at all hard to smell. Not "headeachy". And that is essential for me. I don't want a perfume to challenge me or make me disagree with myself trying to find out whether I like it or not. And I LOVE Mon Guerlain. Just as I loved LPRN Intense and Shalimar Parfum Initial. MG is definitely more grown up and I totally get a burnt vanilla that reminds me a lot of Shalimar. It is nothing like Shalimar, but the vanilla ingredient is easily the same. And let me tell you, it is nothing like LVEB from Lancome, or anything I smelled before. It is its own beautiful kind of vanilla. Just as Guerlain intended it.

This is what I reach for when I want sophisticated comfort. On me, both the sillage and longevity are generous, and one or two spritzes is sufficient for the day. On the initial spray I get a whiff of sugared lavender vanilla layered with enough bergamot to keep it from being overly gourmand. While I admit I struggle with the licorice component, it feels a necessary addition to keep this scent from being just another vanilla based floral. It does feel a little too intense for warmer days, so I tend to reserve it for cooler weather. It’s my autumn / winter signature and my husband and children alike always comment when they get a hug from me while I’m wearing it. It feels like a core memory making type of scent, one that your loved ones will smell years later and instantly think of you.

This is the Queen of the Lavender Vanilla scent profile. It’s super calming, comforting, and beautifully feminine. What makes this magical for me is the balsamic nature I get in the mid and drydown. It’s so special. I feel so emotional right now. This would help me feel safe if ever my entire world and life might go crashing down. I am grounded and balanced when I wear my mon guerlain edp. This will not be associated with bad memories because this scent makes me feel powerful and like I can conquer what tries to take me down. Love it so much it’s very powerful for me yet soft, gentle , & loving. Nothing else measures up to the greatness this fragrance is. It took me so long to own this and I don’t know why or how it took me this long to get it.

Beautiful lavender heaven. When I first got this perfume (blind buy purchase after seeing so many great reviews) I was disappointed. I thought it smells “old”, for a very mature person... and I could not smell any lavender in it. I was about to sell my bottle when I came back to it and decided to give another try... And that changed everything. I could finally smell beautiful lavender notes and my favourite Iris note too! Bergamot note adds some freshness and another of my favourite note tonka bean adds this beautiful sweetness. But it’s not too sweet, it’s just deep, sexy and elegant perfume. Perfect for summer evenings or colder fall or even winter days. I’m glad I kept my bottle and will be ordering a back up one.

Mon Guerlain on me contains fully blended notes of herbaceous lavender, creamy vanilla, tonka bean, and patchouli in the background with a touch of spicy licorice and powdery benzoin. I cannot pick out the jasmine sambac or rose. There’s a whisper of resemblance to Mugler Angel because of the patchouli and sweetness, however while Angel feels showy, Mon Guerlain is more refined. I dismissed this fragrance a few years ago when I tried it in the summer (my notes say “Pleasant, but seems sweet and mainstream made to perfection. It is nice.”), but upon revisiting my sample lately, I find it quite dreamy in the early autumn coolness. This perfume somehow has the power to make me feel beautiful. I’m infatuated.

It’s hard to put into words just how much I adore this perfume, it's absolute perfection to my nose. A dreamy blend of lavender and vanilla, it's comforting yet sophisticated. It is, without a doubt, my most complimented fragrance. Also incredibly easy to wear, effortlessly fitting any mood or occasion. When I’m unsure of what to wear or how I’m feeling, I always reach for it. It’s my go-to scent when I want to feel confident and leave an impression. There’s just something about it I instinctively trust. The dry down is the most divine vanilla, warm and lingering for hours. I recently finished my first bottle and didn’t hesitate to repurchase it. Truly can’t imagine my collection without it.

oh my god. this went from a dislike to a favorite. i tried this multiple times at different stores, each time there was something i didn’t like to the scent, I suspect it's because I used to spray it on papers, yet something kept pulling me back to it each time. eventually i just decided to get it. Now this might dethrone Dama Bianca as my favorite perfume ever..... something about it so chic yet comforting, the combo of lavender, iris and vanilla provides an ethereal olfactive experience. it's soft without being boring, I look forward to wearing this scent everyday. It starts off a bit fresh due to the lavender, i somehow get the texture of powdered cookies in the dry down. I’m obsessed.

I was gifted this perfume yesterday. Is it too soon to say that Im in love? The moment the box touched the table there was a beautiful scent of vanilla. Im a huge fan of vanilla scents and I absolutely adore how perfectly it blends with jasmine and lavender. Especially in this perfume, the combination plays out in such a special way. Every time I catch the smell I feel like putting on a light dress and running through lavender fields. Its a very feminine, gentle, spring-like fragrance. Of course I cant forget to mention that the person who gave it to me was also delighted by it and spent the whole evening complimenting me. That definitely played a big part too :)

This is a masterpiece perfume. Classy, quality, complex, beautiful. Perfectly balanced. Warm yet aromatic, soft yet spicy vanilla. I don't care for fragrances that have too much lavender or rose but this is blended so superbly that neither one stands out. No single note dominates and there are no sharp edges. On my skin the warmer, spicier notes are enhanced, all the base notes. On clothing the brighter top and mid notes are more pronounced, the lavender, bergamot and jasmine. It lasts longer on clothing, but on skin it's deeper and more complete. Signature scent worthy, appropriate for any occasion, any season. This will be a classic for many years to come.

When you first spray her she resembles a cold, stoic boss babe as it leans towards a typical fougere. The lavender comes in with a backbone and there’s an addictive sweetness from the vanilla and tonka. As it dries down, magic happens and it turns into this beautiful, hyper feminine, soft Parvati Devi expression. The sweet vanilla encompasses the lavender and licorice in such a dynamic way. The dry down is a completely different fragrance and it’s too beautiful. Spray this on yourself at night then see what I mean in the morning, the sillage will be totally different. If I could describe this fragrance in 3 words : perfectly balanced masterpiece

The "not like the other girls" part of me is trying hard to dislike it: it's generic. people pleasing, a bit too conventionally feminine for my usual taste, you and I have probably smelled this profile thousands of times... But I don't really have anything negative to say. It's really nice. Beautiful. It does its job. It starts elegant and a little bubbly and goes on with vanilla coziness. Girlfriend material. I feel like I'm the goth edgy teenager falling for the normie bubbly girl in those wlw fanfictions/teen shows, you know. I'll probably use this sample for events where a "conventionally attractive woman" presentation matters.

I first bought Mon Guerlain years ago with my very first gift card from work and I was instantly obsessed. I wore it on nights out, even sprayed it on my pillow before bed, until I moved countries and ended up selling my 50ml bottle. Fast forward 4–5 years, I started craving it again and finally bought another bottle. Honestly, I can’t believe I ever let it go. This vanilla and lavender masterpiece soothes me to sleep and greets me in the morning with the most beautiful scent. My partner loves it too and gives me more compliments with this fragrance than with almost any other. It has truly become my holy grail perfume.

I really love this! It's so soft, so lovely. It definitely smells like a mother, a wife, the warm and soothing hug from a person you love and admire. I love the vanilla in this the way it is blended with the lavender is perfection. I thought I disliked these notes before especially when I smelled perfumes like libre intense. I thought "wow not my vibe" because it smelled more sharp and screeching but this in comparison is so creamy, zen, soothing and just beautiful. I think this is going to be my new go-to everyday perfume. It is definitely a compliment-getter and safe to wear to work or anywhere.

Such a beautiful perfume. Modern guerlain femininity. Non-sweet vanilla, lavender, patchouli, woods and florals, all blended masterfully. Performs well, lasts a few hours, you can get some decent discount deals if you scour the internet. This is a beautiful calming bedtime fragrance - I feel very luxurious just saying that. Imagine spraying Guerlain as I’m about to fall unconscious! The lavender works wonders to calm me though. I do actually prefer the Intense version, simply because this features iris more prominently, which I’m not the biggest fan of. The Intense is deeper and woodier to me.

Mon Guerlain is the simplest and most elegant representation of vanilla and lavender for everyday wear, for feeling good and cozy. As I mentioned in another review, it's like a fluffy, playful Angora kitten that always hugs and cuddles you. I envision it on a girl, woman, lady—anyone who wants to sweetly relax with their perfume. On those days when you wouldn't argue for anything in the world, that's a Mon Guerlain, a way to enjoy yourself and how wonderful you smell, without worrying about the long faces around you. A purely Zen perfume with a playful sweetness—how delightful!

This is gorgeously balanced. Fresh, yet rich. Spicy, but sweet. Sophisticated and comforting, cool and warm, in equal measure. It unites so many contrasting elements! The scent steadily develops on my skin, showing evolving facets of a calming, creamy iris-jasmine floral against a sweetened vanilla-musk base. A light, unusually feminine lavender wafts in and out of the mix, never becoming medicinal. The patchouli is soft and not too earthy, adding a graceful (and, to my nose, decidedly French) elegance that reminds me of Chanel Chance (the original EDP). I'm in love.

I got this as a gift & I think it smells beautiful. The lavender, vanilla and tonka make it smell so inviting and nostalgic like a warm hug in a bottle. It’s soft, pretty and just feels really safe and familiar. A few months after I got it, I came across a Jeremy Fragrance video where he called it the wife fragrance and I think it really does give off that classy, comforting, forever kind of vibe :3 I think it shines most in autumn and winter when you want something warm and comforting but honestly it’s versatile enough to wear all year tbh.

I've come back to review this after many years! I still love this, it's still my signature perfume, and it still has its magnificent quality as before! Mon Guerlain is a perfume that is not trying to be anything; it isn't trying to be girly, young, mature, bold, soft, delicious or anything that goes to any extreme. It is just itself: being a woman. It is just a beautiful perfume with its many scents, and smells incredible and inoffensive. I love this perfume so much because it makes me feel comfortable in who I am.

On me, (EDP) this was like Angel with training wheels. Though they do not share all of the same notes, I definitely notice the resemblance. It’s much softer and doesn’t take prisoners in the way Angel does. Delicious vanilla, lavender, and patchouli. I can detect the rose. She’s in there but calling from far away. Longevity was around four hours. Full bottle worthy? Yes. Especially before her ten year anniversary. You never know what Guerlain is going to do at that point.

This is such a pretty lady like perfume. It's very popular among men because every time I wear this perfume around a man, I always get complimented on it. It's like a perfume you wear when you only want to smell it yourself or a person that gets close to you to smell you. Which is probably why it's not very popular. But you can appreciate the subtleness of it, which men appreciate too. I think it's a must have in your collection when you want to keep it light and pretty.

It's beautiful! I really prefer gourmands lately, and esp with fall approaching soon...yay!!!! But this is so feminine and beautiful that I'll reach for this on days I'll give the gourmands a break! I do wish it projected a bit more as I find myself adding a couple of extra sprays during the day. It's dainty and very feminine and perfect in a work environment. I don't belive this would offend anyone! If it were a home decor style it would be romantic Shabby Chic!!! 🥰

Mon Guerlain EDP is one of the most beautiful perfumes that money can buy. I have had several people smell this on me, then immediately go purchase a full bottle once I tell them what I am wearing. I would describe it as the perfect marriage of floral and aromatic notes. It is so elegant, timeless, and fitting for any occasion. The sillage is polite and inoffensive, yet it manages to turn heads and lets its presence be known with a sensual caress of vanilla.

I’ve got many niche and high end fragrances and I went ahead and blind bought this one as I saw a great deal for the 3.4 oz for $75 and although I only test sprayed it on my arm about 4 hours ago, it’s just lovely. Fresh yet sweet and a beautiful non gourmand vanilla drydown. So well blended compared to Goddess. Will shower and put a full wear in and see how it goes with sillage, longevity and compliments if any. So far, I love it.

The most elegant perfume I have ever smelled. If Grace Kelly were a perfume, this would be it. The opening of this perfume is the perfect combination of all notes. This is not the type of other lavender perfume like Libre, which is so soapy and masculine. I have tried so many dupes of this, and all of them try to capture all the notes, but even the right measure of each note cannot capture the opening of this perfume.

The lavender and the vanilla really stand out in this fragrance. It's not a gourmand but it's also not NOT a gourmand. It's somehow fresh and warm and sweet and breezy all at once. Honestly it's a very beautiful scent. It makes me feel immaculately "put together". Imagine: cashmere, diamond studs, and supremely comfortable silk undergarments. It's chic, it's cozy, it's kind. This perfume loves you back.

I have this and it is nice but I prefer the edt. The edt has something special the edp doesn’t have. Probably the citrus in the edt I like better. The edp falls flat for me. It is unexciting and when I wear it, it’s just blah. I’ve had it for over a year now and I never reach for it. I bought back ups of the edt so I’m stocked up. I’ll be putting my 100ml bottle of the edp up on my Mercari account.

Mon Guerlain is the quintessential femininity and elegance in a bottle that gives that ‘old money’ vibes! Perfect blend of lavender, florals and vanilla, with an aromatic woody kick from the bergamot, the patchouli and the sandalwood! It lasts 6-8 hours on my skin and it has a pretty good sillage. It’s sexy, it’s seductive and I always get compliments when I wear it! 100/10
