Mon Precieux Nectar

Mon Precieux Nectar is absolutely angelic, as fragrances go. Delicate, deeply natural, lightly sweet. It's so strangely magical that my jaw went slack with awe when I first put my nose to my wrist. Edit: It's been over a month now, and I've moved past my initial awe into a more reasonable and objective phase (lol). It's still lovely, and still truly precious, I'm just able to think in less vague and melodramatic terms, and actually express my full understanding of the scent. I am SO pleased with my purchase, this really invokes a very particular sentiment that I've only ever found within Guerlain offerings. The only way I can describe it is as Approachable Opulence. Definitely high quality, reflected in it's price tag, but no so out of reach as to be merely mythical. When I wear this it's obvious that I'm not wearing a perfume that can be found at the local outlet. It's something different. And it makes me feel very special. This is quite sweet. Not toothachingly so, but clearly within dessert levels, though it doesn't smell at all like food. It's not a gourmand, to me, as when I think of those types I'm considering Choco Musk and Lann Ael, and the salty buttery goodness of L de Lolita in concentratee. This smells like flowers, and like perfume, just doused in cream and sugar. But it's almond cream, vegetal, decadent but without animalic nuance. And the sugar is honey, a warm and sticky golden syrup. The orange blossom plays it part in a polite and clean way, until the late dry down when jasmine brings the barest touch of indole to the arrangement and gives the floral component a fleshy realism. I don't know why the perfume deviates from it's pyramid and behaves this way on my skin, it just does. And I think this is my favorite part of the fragrance, and the moment that inspired much of my earlier review (now redacted for being a long-winded and poetic means of saying absolutely nothing). It's at the end point of the fragrance that the musk and musk and musk and sugar that runs throughout has tapered off and left behind only traces of very real things. Almonds. Flower Petals. An unlit incense stick. I find myself reaching for this often, and then selecting something different because the impression of this perfume is so specific. I smell the bottle and realize that my mood doesn't quite match the sweetly warm, feminine glow that Mon Precieux offers. But whenever I DO wear it I spend the whole time being so pleased with my selection, sniffing the inside of my wrist and marveling at the unfolding of it's layers, like a flower slowly opening in the sun. And I wait with expectancy for those final hours when, to me, it smells exactly like a flower ready to be pollinated.

Absolutely divine. This is exactly what I would envision nectar would smell like, from the bee's point of view. The delicate florals and the nectar smell, yes, to me, it is intoxicating. The nectar accord smells very fresh and juicy and reminds me of what honeysuckle nectar tastes like. I don't get a real intense bitter almond smell, in fact the first spray does smell like heliotrope, but not the full blown, heavy heliotrope in L'Heure Bleue. It is softer, fragile like dragonfly wings. The jasmine is very sheer, which is not at all indolic, no skank here. I do not get much of the incense or the guaiac wood, but the lush orange blossom is very true to the natural scent of the waxy white blossoms. The vanilla and the sandalwood is well rounded and never emerges as too sweet or cloying. The musky base is not dirty or overwhelming, nothing like the animalic Jovan's White Musk, it is more of a comforting scent, reminds me of cashmere. The parfum, yes my bottle and box strictly say "Parfum", not eau de parfum. My bottle dates to 2012 and has a super soft cream colored suede ribbon around its neck. I easily decanted some just removing the stopper and using a pipette to transfer into a Travalo type atomizer to keep in my purse. I happily received this in a swap, and it is my first of the Les Parisiennes collection and it did not disappoint. I love that Guerlain adds an optional high quality atomizer to use with the bee bottle. When I sprayed it, a super fine mist, like myriads of atoms, sprung forth and my body was sweetly enveloped in a kitten soft cloud of the precious nectar. However, I am saddened this doesn't have much longevity and is more of a subtle skin scent with low sillage. I will however think of this as my holy grail fragrance and no doubt be mourning its loss when my bottle is empty and only wispy traces of the scent remain.

This is so aptly named! It really smells like a precious nectar, it actually reminds me of sucking on lilac blooms, even though it doesn't smell of lilac. If you ever tasted the small drops of lilac nectar you will know what I mean. If butterflies and hummingbirds wore perfume, I'm pretty sure some of them would chose Mon Précieux Nectar. It's a fluffy scent that hits just the right spot between floral, fresh and gourmand. The main note is orange blossom, followed by bitter almond and a slightly powdery vanilla. The other notes are just accents, barely noticeable at all. A splash of petitgrain in the opening, a smidgen of white musk to support the base, that's it. I don't smell guaiac wood or incense here. I would classify this as a warm scent, but at the same time as very springy due to the nectar-ish floral juiciness. It smells good right now, on a rainy February evening at home, but I think it would shine outside on a warm day with a sundress. Honestly, if you like Guerlain, orange blossoms, vanilla and almond, I don't think you can really go wrong with this delightful scent. It's a shame that the distribution became so limited though. As far as I know this is still (or again?) in production, but only available in the Guerlain boutique in Paris in the refillable 125 ml bee bottles. I love the scent, but I won't travel to another country to get it. There are enough other sweet orange blossoms out there to enjoy, even though I haven't met one that conveys the idea of a light floral nectar as well as this one yet.

The bottle is old fashion flacon type that can leak if not tightened enough and also will be constantly submitted to mixing with exterior-compromising-air. It comes along with the old fashion bulb like atomizer that SUCKS in its supposed job of creating a clowd-like uniform spray - all you get is a direct jet of juice that is a total waste of it, you are obligated to decant it in order to use it. In sum: the presentation is nice (the bottle itself is beautiful) but its efficiency as a perfume per se is the worse possible in perfumery. That out of the way, to the smell: the very best orange blossom in the game, its ridiculously natural and smooth, it feels like a cotton was bathed in a cream of distilled oil directly extracted from orange blossoms and then presented for you to smell, this is out of this world nice. It is a highly delicate kind of smell and, in that sense only can be perceived predominantly feminine, BUT, hey...I'm a man (who digs women btw) and I fkng LOVE this because I NEVER came across anything like this before scent wise. Good performance overall (some good 4hs around the body scent-bubble and good projection as well for 2hs or so), super versatile, this goes all year round except super high heat, you can wear this in any situation except super formal ones (because it is SUPER uplifting so it may come across immature in those specific situations). Super happy I got myself a bottle of this gem.

Elusive, that's how I would best describe this scent. Perhaps it is my chemisty that just eats it up but it goes from soft to non-existent in short time. This is such a soft light, almost ethereal blend. It's sweetness - not overpowering thankfully - from the vanilla and almond then it entwines with delicate jasmine and brightens further with petit grain. Musk and almost transparent wood notes anchor the blend and keep it from becoming cloying or loud. It's fresh with a breath of innocence, it's familiar and comforting, which draw you in but at the same time it's elusive because it's not too familiar and makes you keep chasing it for another wisp, it's like a mirage in that sense. I have received more compliments with this perfume than any other. Some say it smells clean, some say it smells like heaven, most can't put their finger on it, it just pulls them in, as it does with me. It's hard to rationalize because one part says it's not worth the price tag but the other keeps trying to identify what draws me (any everyone else) to it so I keep putting it on and following its whispering essence. The main down side to this is that it doesn't seem to last and has low sillage. I envy the people that it is strong/long lasting on.

Have had my bottle now for over year. (See previous post) I am still in love with this fragrance. I have over 200 bottles of perfume. The most I've ever spent on perfume is in the $300 range. I love perfume. This, by far, is the best fragrance I have ever smelled! The only down point is that it does not have much longevity or sillage. It stays very close to the skin and is very subtle. I want other people to smell what I smell. That is why I would really appreciate if it had more longevity and sillage. I don't know now if I would reinvest in another bottle of this because of the aforementioned reasons. But I am conflicted, because I love it so! I have just showered and sprayed the fragrance all over my body and I'm snuggled in bed. This is how I enjoy it most. I find when I try to wear during the day, I never smell it, unless I sniff my collar. So the only way I can enjoy it is in a close and intimate environment where other smells will not overtake it and my nose will not be distracted away. #sad

Nords SA only gave me a few "precious" drops in vial to take home and try because bottles were being shipped back due to "limited time only" in store. Showered and dressed myself for bed in MPN. Lovely. Husband liked. Woke up this morning and can still smell strongly on nightgown, softer on skin, but its there. Very almondy, soft, pretty flower petals. Will apply last final drops in AM to test throughout the day. For me, projection, about a foot or two; not offensive, very seductive in a pure, sexy way, not dirty sexy. The difference between lovemaking and sex. MPN is lovemaking, beautiful, white, soft, romantic, memorable in a charming way. Your man will want to breathe you in. I think of soldiers getting their love letters scented with this and sniffing them to remind them of what they have back home -LIFE. MPN is a bride, a wife, a professional working woman who gets her job done, and is uncompromisingly, unapologetically feminine.

This is a masterpiece and the most gorgeous, delicate, bougie floral gourmand in my collection. Heaven in a bottle. The most creamy, dreamy, beautiful, elegant, rich, natural orange blossom in the game. Like marcel2782 said, it really does smell like the perfumers distilled orange blossom oil and then soaked it in a cotton ball. The dry down is slightly powdery with a soft, creamy almond vibe. This must be what angels smell like—an elegant, dreamy, luxurious floral gourmand. The parfum concentration lasts very well and has a soft, beautiful sillage. This is a gentle fragrance—never loud, but present. The quality of the ingredients is very high. One of my top 5 all-time faves, and in the top 2 of Les Parisiennes (my other favorite being Mademoiselle). It makes other PDM’s Safanad smell like a loud, chemical mess from the 1980s.

I was not impressed with it at first: it smelled like a weird sweet musky thing, I couldn't quite detect what it was I'm wearing. After a few more tries, I realized that I'm actually liking it more and more. It's that honey-woody note which makes it so cozy and sweet; and then the almond, which smells floral and powdery, and makes the perfume seem a little old-fashioned, nostalgic, but also very comforting, like a grandma's hug. Just to compare it to some other almond-centered perfumes, Mon Precieux Nectar is not as sweet and powdery as Mazzolari's Allesandro; not as fruity and synthetic as Montale's Mukhallat. It's not as dense and cloying as Hypnotic poison, but definitely has more character than Jour de Fete. It's just that perfect "in the middle" scent for me, with enough floral and woody notes to balance everything out.

Today I'll talk about a fragrance that shares meaning and devotion in my life. Mon Preciux Nectar by Guerlain: This juice means alot to me; I once imagined someone I had, someone I loved, wearing this. I just got this juice a few days back; sniffing it after the precursor takes me back to those days, commemorating what I had extrapolated in my mind. I imagined a classy lady wearing white linen radiating optimism in its full glory. The soft and silky almond harmonizing effortlessly with the delicate white florals is something special all by itself, and implementing the sentimental value just makes this a whole lot better! I was lucky to get two discontinued gems, this and Gourmand Coquin. Both share similar emotions, and it feels great to own them finally!

This is so soft, smooth and beautiful! The opening, on me, is all about orange blossom and almonds, but soon enough, the sandalwood and the incense make their entrance, accompanied by the slightest hint of vanilla. The ensemble gives a very honey-like, gourmand impression. But this is a grown-up gourmand done right, very classy and, thanks to the beautiful incense and sandalwood, never too sweet. It's dreamy and achieves to be all at once very modern with a classic "old-school" vibe. I love this one so much! My only complaint is that it doesn't last very long on me, maybe 3-4 hours top, but hey, that's ok because I get to reapply a bit more often and be amazed, each and every time by the beautiful bottle this precious nectar comes in :)

So far from the Les Parisiannes line I own Mademosielle Guerlain, L’heure d’Nuit and now Mon Precieux Nectar - which is my absolute favorite from the line. The fragrance is very rounded which creates a pastel aura. It evokes childhood memories- lemon drops, sunshine, the smell of Barbie bolls, lacey dresses. The opening is rounded, lemony petigrain, sweet almonds and heliotrope (doll head scent) as it dries down I get more orange blossom, woods and incense- then it starts to remind me of LPBJDMV- another favorite. Stunning fragrance and I’m pretty sure it’s still being sold at Place Vendome because I’m seeing many new Flacon with 2024 batch codes- don’t over pay on eBay. Yes- it is still available at Guerlain boutiques. Call around

Ahhhhh! I get faintly bitter almonds, musk, a little powder, tender orange blossom, and honeysuckle. Softly floral without being headache inducing (a problem for me with most white-ish florals). Its sweetness reminds me a little of Prada Candy, but this is smoother and a little gentler. A curious combination of a gentle skin scent that nonetheless lasts all day. So lovely, and such a pleasure to add to my Guerlain collection! While it lacks the depth and strangeness of the early Guerlains (with the sumptuous Guerlainade), its nice to finally have one of their more modern creations. PS, I die over the name. I can't wait until someone asks me what I'm wearing!

On me it is a buttery almond bar with caramel running through the base. I appreciate how this smells and performs differently on me on different days. The first day I bought it, it was an orange blossom scent with some grape thrown in, like a mild version of Le plus beau jour de ma vie, which I didn't want because I already own that one. Perhaps it had to do with the dab versus the spray and the change of my skin, or maybe the climate. It alternates between the 2 scents, which is fine with me. It's like getting a 2 in 1. I do prefer it when it does the almondy caramel act though..plush and sweet, but with some bitter green to tame it.

It's so weird because I cannot describe this scent in any way that would make sense; at the same time it gives me so much nostalgia, but it also somehow reminds me of summers at the beach with my skin covered in sun tan lotion and sand (even though it doesn't smell like a beachy or necessarily a summery fragrance either). It also gives me so much comfort but at the same time makes me feel like a put together woman (which - for the most days - I am not 😂). Wearing this is such an emotional rollercoaster it's hard to even grasp. I love it. Why are all the good ones always discontinued? I need to hunt a decant or something.

This absolutely beautiful almond honey vanilla floral is perfection. It is to perfume as Pachebel's Canon in D is to music. Every note is exquisite and their harmony heavenly. This has become my signature scent, and as I work in an office, the moderate sillage and reasonable longevity suit me perfectly. My favorite GUERLAIN, which is saying a lot...and my favorite juice altogether. There is absolutely NOTHING else like it. The first time I tried it at NM, I was immediately hooked, fell in love, and bought a bottle. Went back 6 months later for another as I now refuse to live without it. MPN, she is a dream come true.

This is gorgeous. Beyond stunning. Also, my cat loves it - to a somewhat concerning degree. Usually he only has this reaction to orange chicken. Upon reflection, he and I must both be picking up on the honeyed orange blossoms. I love scents with honey, orange blossoms, and amber - this is by far my favorite. It might evoke a bit of Elie Saab Le Parfum Intense - or possibly PDM’s Safanad - but it’s smoother than both. Since CoVid, I tend to go a bit noseblind after 10-15 minutes. Even though this sits close to my skin, I still get hits of this creamy, sweet scent hours later. Clearly, so does my cat. I love this.

MPN is an alluring and addictive honeyed-orange blossom fragrance supported by almond and vanilla, giving it a marzipan vibe. The almonds add a buttery texture to the perfume, while the base is sweet, ambery and musky vanilla. The yellow juice captures the honey (nectar) essence perfectly. It is an extremely elegant and easy to wear perfume, and among my favorites for the spring and summer. The scent definitely leans feminine but I wear it without hesitation and love it! The fragrance sits close to skin, like most Parfum concentrations do, but the longevity is above average.

This is so beautiful and everyone I know who have smelled it loved it! It sits very close to the skin and does not project very well, but I'm always happy whenever I put it on. It's very soft so for me, I have to put a lot on. Which is kind of funny seeing that it's a 'precious' nectar and I feel like wasting it when spraying a lot and reapply at least once a day. On clothes though, it lasts so long. It spray on my naked body after I shower, and then I put on pyjamas. The next evening, I can still smell it on my pyjamas!

Mon Precieux, indeed. Lovely nectar fit for a Queen Bee. Maybe no honey, but I agree with others who said it reminds them of SL Miel de Bois, but innocent. MPN is sweet and uplifting, like sticking your nose right into an orange blossom and inhaling deeply. The incense appears after a while, and is just right. Almonds and vanilla are nicely balanced with the floral and woods. This is enchanting. It has good sillage and great tenacity on my skin. Beautifully done, I'm so happy to have this Guerlain.

Elegant and feminine. Soft and powdery like you’d imagine pollen to be. The sweetness from the vanilla and orange blossoms are anchored by the almond, while the petit grain gives the earthy touch and keeping this from becoming another gourmand. The white musk gives the powderiness as the sandalwood and guiac wood round out and finish the scent effortlessly to give balance and depth. Great scent to feel beautiful in, during the day or a warm evening.

Gorgeous and Unique. Sweet orange blossom. One sniff isn't enough to discover this, you need to study this scent. If god is a bumblebee Mon Precieux Nectar is her blood. Lasts all day with soft steady sillage. If you are having issues with longevity spray it on your blouse or heavily moisturized skin with an unscented cream. I also would never use the bulb atomizer included. It is best to decant a little into an atomizer and spray it on properly.

I didn't really like this on the first few tests. I didn't "get" it, nor the love so many have for it. But like so many Guerlains, I had to put it away for a few months and come back to it. And oh my, it's a love now. It is soft like many have said. It's delicate. There is no beast mode to this. It's a warm honey with some soft almond on me for the most part. It has moved into addictive territory. Extremely happy to have a bottle of this beauty.

For the third time (previous times have been deleted) I try to post a review with this comment: MPN is very similar to "Memo Granada" with the difference that the sillage of Granada is much, really múch better. “Granada” has more quality and Guerlain's Mon Precieux Nectar has more.... the name Guerlain. But many people go for the brand and are blinded by the name. Memo's Granada is from 2011 and Guerlain's Mon Precieux Nectar is from 2012

One sniff of this has sent my mind on a journey to sensual paradise. This is the perfect amalgamation of the bones of Guerlain classics (L'Heure Bleu and Apres L'Ondee spring to mind straight away) modernised, softened into a glorious almond sugared floral delight with an herbaceous twist and that Guerlain vanilla base which is neither sickly nor cheap but achingly seductive. Truly special and utterly addictive.

Guerlain's Mon Precieux Nectar is a symphony for the senses. An absolute masterpiece! This is the Holy Grail of sweet floral perfumes. Powdery almonds enveloped in honeysuckle blossom nectar--perfection! After an hour of wear, a delicious vanilla musk aroma developed, similar to a root beer float! Silage is moderate. Longevity is incredible--6+ hours.

Kl, this is really very much with sensual spirituality. So soft, a bit sweet, almonds, vanilla and incense is strong at my skin, with hints of woody notes and flowers. Very delicate scent indeed. I love the bottle also. Though, its not too sweet, very well made. Love in a bottle. Yeah. Perfect for starting autumn in here. Goes on my want list.

This is so unbelievably beautiful and is one of my top 5 favorite Guerlain perfumes. There is something in this perfume that has a glowing effect where it smells like rays of sunshine popping off on my skin. Lasts forever on skin and clothes but does not project strongly. A stunning honeyed floral vanilla musk. 10/10

AN intimate fragrance. A beautiful moment with a lover. Probably my favorite fragrance of all time. It has a honey kind of vibe but not cloying. On my skin it radiates the woods, the orange blossom and the neroli. On my sister it goes completely different with more florals. It's amazing how it just adapts to skin.

A beautiful scent. Someone drew parallels to Safanad, and yes, I see it, but this is so much better. Not as loud though, much more intimate and close to skin. Even though I'm a little noseblind to it, I needed to get a bottle, as I cannot get enough of it, and it has been discontinued.

enchanting. a negligee appealing like an almond, sweeten eager alluring. then, the cheerful and wild petigrain tells me: I'll never be yours....and leave me without the trail of incense. I search for it but it's far away. I can live MPN at work or in a brothel, it's pure femininity.

Welcome to brave new world in a slightly old fashioned style.I dare others Perfume Houses achieve perfect interpretation like Guerlain.I`m already smell envy despite nothing will compare to this Nectar. Go get yours before it gets discontinued like Iris Ganache.

Its the first perfume I've ever tried that I've really actually fallen in love with. MPN is a very exclusive, powdery scent, gentle sweet, classic, in a timeless manner, never overwhelming and totally addictive. If you like sweet floral gourmands, do try this.

p.s. A little remarkable thing; On my skin the perfume fades away in 2 ours, than is is very, very soft, the sillage is very soft. But 12 ours later i can still smell her. So, if you like extreem soft-sillage for a long period; this is your perfume!

This is not discontinued! You just have to order it from a Guerlain Boutuque. Most UL and EU boutiques have them available. I just bought my second bee bottle :) My review is below. This is a gorgeous sunny honeyed orange blossom.

Got my bottle today. Noooo regrets. It's intoxicating. MPN is not just a fragrance, it is an experience. All the things I said before are still true. I've found my new signature!!

This beautiful Guerlain evokes feelings of springtime in a garden tending a beehive. It’s a gourmand but not sticky sweet. It’s so super feminine like honeysuckle. Just beautiful.

Very soft, elegant, beautiful perfume. On me it is mostly sweet honeyed orange blossom, almond powder and vanilla. Similar to l'Instant Magic but more floral. I really like it!

warm, inviting, elegant and simply irresistible!unfortunately i'll never be able to have a FB because it's impossible to find one even online and the price is forbidding...:(

Please Mr Wasser and Ms Jelk hear my cries for the return of this beauty... this should have never been discontinued!

Is this scent suitable for men? I have a decant coming in

So after reading the reviews here, I decided to go and jump into the pool for a FB. I needed a good pick me up, and either a new fragrance or lipstick does that. Having said that, here's my thoughts with her for the first hour. First sniff reminded me of L'Heure Bleue and Apres L'Ondee although I will say, for me, I prefer this one over L'Heure Bleue. Shudder! I know. Anyways, I find that most people describe her pretty well. There is a sweetness in here, but very grown up. I suppose what I am not playing well with is the floral in here. There is also the incense/smoke but not a heavy one. All in all, it's nice, but for the price, I think I'll send it back. The bottle is lovely. I find that with Guerlain, if it's a hit on me, it's a HUGE HIT IT OUT OF THE PARK, hit, and if it's a miss, it's a strike out :( It's not bad, and I might give her one more round. But I'm thinking that the Elixir line just agrees with my chemistry more. For anyone who wants to try this, I would say go ahead, yes, she is very lovely. My chemistry just wants to run away from her though. Will update later. Edit: After about 3 hours it turned to the better on me. Reminded me of my beloved Guerlain Elixir Coquin Gourmand. I'll probably give it another round. It stayed a good 8-10 hours, and also evolved. Tapping finger, hum, not sure whether to keep or not. Edit2: I returned this lovely juice. It just wasn't me. But she may play well with you....

I thought that me and Mon Precieux Nectar were meant to be for various reasons. 1. I once conceptualized an Alien vs Predator layering set and Predator's perfume was called "Mon Precieux Mandible" 2. I was on VACATION and I had plenty of money to waste on some fancy ass Guerlain 3. I love orange blossom, but not as much as I love almond and guaiac wood. "Oh it's nice!" and then I thought "NICE? This be $280 we're talking about!" so I shrugged and we parted ways. A while later, I purchase a sample to see if perhaps I missed something. Again, "Oh this is nice.." and then "This is reminding me of something.. what is it?" It took me a while, but the answer is.. Hanae Mori. But not just Hanae Mori any time, anywhere.. Hanae Mori being sprayed in a Nordstrom department store. So, in closing.. this is a pretty fragrance. Really, it is. If you love, or even like almonds, you will enjoy Mon Precieux Nectar. However, it is hardly worth $280 unless you just want to spend money. Thankfully, everybody acts like this one doesn't exist so you won't be tempted. HANAE MORI.

This is sort of a less herbal and less woody version of Quand Vient la Pluie...that is to say, a modern riff on the Apres l'Ondee theme. At its base, it has that same Apres accord of orange blossom, the powdery/mimosa-like anisic aldehyde, and cuddly vanilla. Compared with Apres (which is weirder, colder, spicier, and less friendly), Nectar is all full of hazy, lightly sweet hedione, lots of plush musks, and more of a honeyed orange blossom than is found in Apres. Quand Vient la Pluie is at once less easy to wear and perhaps more interesting. Mon Precieux Nectar feels like a mod or a fragment/chord from a scent that had the potential to be an arresting, classic game changer. Pleasant to a fault, it's lovely to wear and an easy reach and yet I always want it to be a bit more strange or unconventional or unique. As it is, it smells like the essence of Guerlain turned modern.

Beautiful fragrance, very nice quality. The top-heart is a very balanced floral/powdery accord, an elegant mix of orange blossom and violet-lipstick note. It does not fall into being too cosmetic, neither it is too botanical, garden like. Really a very well adjusted smooth mix, it's not easy to find something so well mixed in contemporary perfumery unfortunately. The base is almond-vanilla, sweet and pleasant, pastry like style mix. Even though it is gourmand, it is not heavy, heady of suffocating. It's light and soft. The fragrance itself is not very sophisticated, it is not a complicated composition. Nevertheless it is of a really good quality. It would make a really great gift to some perfumery lover because it is universal and easy to wear, generally pleasant. The price is exaggerated though.

I am a bit disappointed that the petitgrain and orange flowers are the strongest notes on on my dryish cold temperatured skin and they meld together with the slightly powdery sweetness to make a slightly tartish fruity Pez candy effect. Not sure why the honey and almond notes don't develop on me at all. I on the other hand really like the La Plus Beau Jour de ma Vie that is delicate, floral, almondy and vanilla and definitely more compatible with me chemistry. Edit: I think the perfume has gotten more concentrated and rich due to the atomizer spray top which is not screwed on but jammed in. I believe that the alcohol content might be slowly evaporating leaving the perfume to be more concentrated than before. Because now I really smell the honey portion and it's much stronger than before. Love!

- I received this fragrance in a swap from a generous fragrantica member. I would have never tried this glorious fragrance if not for this swap. It's stunning! The orange blossom is unlike anything I've smelled before. I had just about given up on that note, but it's subdued and beautiful here probably smoothed out by the petitgrain and jasmine. The opening is light and inviting. The mid is floral without going soapy and the base is creamy, dreamy, fluffy and mature. The incense is the note that elevates this fragrance from pleasant and charming to stunning and mature. So beautiful.

On me, this smells creamy, soft, warm, and just slightly sweet. I picture mostly orange blossoms and some jasmine flowers with a nice coating of sweet almond powder. It’s just on the edge of being edible, but doesn’t quite make the leap. The wood and incense come through a bit in the drydown, which is beautiful. It smells very clean and comforting and lasts a good while - about 8 hours on me. I like this so much it’s easy for me to overspray. Still, no one has complained and I only get compliments while in a hug so the sillage must not be enormous. A definite love for me!

I'm surprised I actually don't love this. Judging by the notes I thought I would. It doesn't mix with my chemistry that well, I keep wanting it to get warmer and a little more powdery but the floral note is most dominant. Overall it feels even a little bit bubbly, like a champagne. The vanilla is in there, but for me I just feel like it's missing something more cozy that I usually get from many other Guerlains. It's very nice but a little bit too 'perfumey' for me, just sitting on top of my skin.
