Rouge Bonheur 2025 Millésime

Honestly surprised by the bad reviews for this fragrance. It was a love at first sniff for me at the Guerlain boutique in Paris. The rose/ginger/pepper/magnolia blend is lovely and the bottle looks good on my stand. For me, it was worth the splurge and will always remind me of a special journey in one of my favorite cities.

The opening reminds me of Neroli Plein Sud big time. The ginger is zesty and I immediately think of the turmeric in NPS. It is floral in the heart but I won't call this a rose scent, and the ginger remains for some time. I am not sure what I think of the base. At first I find it quite 'common' (not necessarily a bad thing), pleasant but similar to many other soft musky/woody scents out there, but then I sometimes smell some spices peeking out. I still would not call it interesting but the spices add a little something to the otherwise 'common' base (the base of NPS is more interesting by comparison). The price is high and I believe most part goes to the bottle. I guess I am not its target audience.

Smelled this yesterday. Tried a little on.....not good. Couldn’t wait to scrub my wrists. Sorry, but a hard pass for me

This is going to be sad but it’s a no for me. Although the bottle looks very exotic and unique, the ginger in this one is too strong, it smells like Moscow mule served at a dive bar in an old town in New Mexico. I sprayed this on both my arms and let it air out - still a no. After about 30 minutes, the scent is almost not there but you can still tell, there’s ginger lurking around it. The bottle is $900 with tax - and if it was an intoxicatingly delicious scent , I’d pay up and bring this beautiful bottle home. It’s just very disappointing. For ginger lovers, this may work - but not me. Not a blind buy.

First Impression on January 9, 2024 The tester bottle hits Thailand already, SA informed that around 30 bottles will be allocated to Thailand. (as of January 24, 2024 - now it is sold out). Yeah, I can confirm that this is revamp Guerlain, Aqua Allegoria, Ginger Picannte. I bring my bottle of Ginger Picante to compare side as side. Rouge Bonheur using higher quality material. The major difference is rose is amped up a bit and this tile with Sandalwood/Rose Water and slight touch of spice either Cardamom or Cinnamon. Mostly still develop in similar pace with Ginger Picante. But reduce Hedione / Musk body into the base that feel similar to Santal Pao Rosa / Rosa Palissandro. Still working in lite Aqua Allegoria manner. Still like 90% similar. I do enjoy because I like Ginger Picante. And the scent does improve, but not vastly. I don't think I will buy one. ===== Pre-sniff note I am really looking forward for this release, I haven't own a good rose fragrance from Guerlain. With new name, I think this might be breakthrough release. Now I feel suspicious, consider a pyramid - this might be a rework from "Guerlain Aqua Allegoria, Ginger Picannte." also her creation, consider a ginger rose on woody/musk base. I don't mind tho, if this a rework to be more full body spicy rose scent as Ginger Picannte a bit fleeting. But, yeah, y'all got my point of where Guerlain heading...

First of all let me say I’m in love with the Nigerian African monkey nuts skin used in this because ughhh does it make me stand out to the crowd. I’ve been asked what I’m wearing by many of my grandparents what I’m wearing and have to pass it off as ‘yes said Lauren’ or ‘John plays guitar’ and sometimes even ‘crude adventures’. If you want an honest opinion your gonna get it and if you want to be a femboy magnet let me let you in on a secret you gonna be one. Definitely would recommend for night as the sun enhances the flavour making it perfect for a date at the circurmcistion parlour. 10/10 makes my grandma from a dry dirty saggy cloth to a wet paper towel ;)

First of all... When i let my husband smell this... lets just say he got a bonheur! HAHAHAH. My nephew Sammuel Rose told me it smells like how he imagines vegetables would smell if they could talk? He also said this will help him do his 5x30 5 min a day exercises with a gas mask on? He also referred this fragrance to being skeebidy and it makes him feel like a locked-in alien? (not geeked specifically). To me, this fragrance smells like my poodle after hes been to get his low taper fade from the groomers (Ronnie Pickering Animal Beautician). Also a warm scent of cheesey smegma after our husband Paul has been down at the pub with his mate Alex Pork. HAHA.

Pleasant but very simple scent Ginger spicy rose nth stands out and no wow factors lol... you’re just paying for the bottle with retail price
