Shalimar Eau De Parfum Serie Limitee

Honestly to me I love this! It smells better than the current edp imo. I own this, the edp (current) plus 60-70's vintage extraits, the rosebud, and the old edt's. I have to say this one smells closest to the extrait in my opinion. Just in an edp form. The bergamont is very strong in this. I don't get much or any mandarin at all? Plus with the restrictions on bergamont oil I don't know how they did it?!? Finally, a strong bergamont note! That's been sadly missing from the current edp. It dries down to exactly what my extraits from the 60's do. More vanilla spice less floral and leather which I prefer. Though I can smell civet the band aide smell I really love actually. This juice is darker too. I don't know if that's intentional or not? I tend to think it's not. It's the shade of my vintage juices. Look at 80's extrait juice shade and then look at this. Tell me how it's just Shalimar in a pretty bottle? Also smell the vintage extrait from the 70's and up. There you can smell the similarities. I'm not saying that it's a super different Shalimar flanker. Or that it's the current edp either. Though I wish this was permanent. I own it and it's very different to me. The current edp isn't weak but it has been lacking with time. I'm just used to wearing and smelling it in stronger concentrations or vintage form. I think those who like the older formula's or more bergamont and the vintage vibe will like this. Honestly if people want to think that it's just a different bottle that's great. I'm fine with that because I don't want the buying competition. ;) I will purchase backups. The sillage is very good and lasts. My Nana asked what I was wearing and I put this on in the am. Four sprays lasts! I now put one spritz on my clothes so when I wear my scarf it smells so good. Too me it's different maybe because I own different concentrations and years?!? The common thing that I love most is the citrus (bergamont). The vanilla as only Guerlain does. The incense and resins in the dry down. So this is obviously a big yes from me. Love.

Love it. The citrus opening is stronger as compared to both the regular Shalimar EDP and the EDT. To my nose, at least. It doesn't take long for other notes to emerge, though. Not that I'm great at picking out individual notes except for the obvious. As for this version (Serie Limitee) being the same as the regular EDP version, I'd have to say no. Not the same. There is a a strong family resemblance between them, just as there often is between humans from the same family. To anyone who is still having a problem finding Shalimar Serie Limitee, I bought mine from FragranceX. P.S. I don't think the Serie Limitee is superior to the EDP, but it is slightly different.

This is my favourite from the flankers. Reminds me of vintage undisrupted formula but with more vivid citruses on top. It could as well as be the 100% revamp of shalimar from back in the days. Since we all know citrus top notes do degrade the fastest in fragrances it may be the reincarnation of Shalimar in its purest forms where lemons didn't get crushed by the age yet... Anyhow, the best and that bottle is worth a pedestal to showcase it

If you are a Shalimar fan, you will love this. Beautiful citrus top notes without losing the classic, vintage Shalimar we love. I own vintage Shalimar EDP and this retains the incense, earthy, opoponax dry down...Amazing edition...Love....

The truth is I don’t have this specific bottle I have one of the vintage bottles of the edp It’s the bottle that looks like eau de shalimar Not sure how old the Bottle was but it definitely was a lot better than the newest formulation The new bottle smells like bugs spray But the vintage had such incredible burst of citruses that sprayed for a very good while The worst thing about the opening was the lavender not sure who gets it but I did thank god it wasn’t a scrubber The most surprising thing is through the mid I could’ve sworn I was wearing musc ravaguer I know they are close relatives but to be this close it’s something I’m writing this not believing that I’m actually saying something positive about shalimar I’ve hated it for years and a now everything changed I’m looking forward to the next editions of shalimar

I only had EDT and then I got this. Loved the EDT,the absolutely amazing vanilla on the drydown, but this is very heavy on iris .I can barely smell the vanilla. 🙄So I was wondering , is the juice in the original bottle like that? Or this is different formula as well as bottle? Such a shame ,of all the notes, iris is one I really cannot stand😭

I love this bottle! I’m in the US but checked the French site & it’s there. It says avant- premiere so it may not even be available for sale there yet? I don’t know much French but it looks like the same fragrance however the ingredients are slightly different. This one is missing farnesol, isoeugenol & benzyl salicylate. *Has anyone seen the 90th anniversary edition? Don’t know how I missed seeing this 5 years ago but it’s incredible. Huge 1.5 liter perfume bottle in deep blue with a gold branch & two blown glass birds. Absolutely stunning to me. It’s on the French website but even if it’s still available (I’d be very surprised) it has to be a small fortune.

Oh baby, this is fabulous. Takes me back to late 70's, early 80's. It does smell "somewhat" like the original. However smells like vintage to me. Has that vibe, and the citrus note on top, and dry down is divine. Back to the days of disco dancing and running around with your crowd. Just love it! I am finding it quite fun to search these LE editions. I have another too. It's gorgeous also. imo. And the bottle, TDF. If I could only find the one with the birds flying around on the bottle :). Wow, I'd be about set. Sort of.....

Many people say, that this collector edition is the same scent as a regular Shalimar edp. Well, may be. However, the new collector is assembled according to a different formula - 14251. The formula of Shalimar edp 2013-2019 is - 07833.

This is the same Shalimar, the Iconic Oriental everyone knows, it's dressed in oranges for the series limitee in conjuction with the "new" fragrance Shalimar D'Oranger- which is in fact the new fragrance.

Those of us who purchased this for the bottle alone, raise your hand! updating to share that this doesn't smell any different to me than the regular Shalimar EDP currently available.

I have tried to find this version of Shalimar in all the sites you listed..and also the Guerlain page, but can't find it anywhere...Do you have other suggestions?

By the way, this is 99 euros for 50ml on the French site. The same price as the regular Shalimar 50ml EDP. And it does look like it’s for sale now in France.

Maybe my nose is unsophisticated but this smells exactly like the regular version of Shalimar. I just bought this for the cute bottle!
