Guess Double Dare

This is what I call a very complex, unique and full of personality fragrance. A real hidden gem. I got a 30 ml of this a couple of years ago, and now I am thinking I need to buy a full size bottle. As many of us here, I have a considerable collection of fragrances, and this one was one of the few that I got to use up in a few weeks. Because I reached for it every day. It is green, crisp, fruity. Fruits in it like strawberry, apples, litchi and lime are NOT SWEET! They are sparkly like champagne... The green notes are also very much there, and yes, the main note that I get is violet leaf, really majestic. I'd wish the sparkly green opening would last more...drydown is light and sweet, due to vanilla and musk... I personally dare to say that this fragrance is fruity green perfection!

This is definitely one of those sexy fragrances you would wear when going out with the ladies while all dressed up. I don’t think I own anything that smells like this so I’m glad I grabbed it. Does anyone have a lid to this bottle they are willing to part with? I accidentally bought a tester and my OCD is making me all anxious about it having no lid. Lol MSG ME.

Sparkling, girly, cheerful. Intense and pretty. Very fruity but the amber radiates warmth and depth.

I picked this up at Marshalls as it was only 12.99, and I must say I was not expecting how good it is! It's sweet and floral smelling at first spray, and I can definitely sense the mandarin orange and litchi, but not so much strawberry. After ~5 minutes I definitely started to sense more of the jasmine, vanilla, and amber. It does smell very golden like a lot of reviews are saying. It's very pretty and feminine smelling. It just keeps getting richer and richer until around 45-60 minutes after first spray where it settles into the musk and amber. There is definitely a lot of amber in this one. I will say, the drydown is disappointing and sort of unpleasant, and even a little bit headache inducing and very ordinary and artificial smelling. I really liked this perfume at first but not so much towards the end of its life. It lasts a decent amount of time on my skin, around 4-6 hours. Overall I'd give this perfume a 6/10 because of how beautiful it is before the drydown.

For a $12 perfume, Guess Double Dare is good. When compared to niche heavy hitters, Double Dare falls short. You will smell like a 90's mall teen. This isn't a complicated or expensive smelling perfume. This is not a bad thing, however. I am glad I purchased this bottle. The citrus in Double Dare is bright and bouncy. The scent is fun and sunny. As a woman in her early 30's, I wouldn't personally wear Double Dare on a first date or at work. I plan to wear Double Dare on hot days in the city while wearing a sundress that's slightly too short. Or in other words--Double Dare is a fragrance I'd wear when I wanted to smell fun and fresh but when I don't want to waste one of my more complicated and more $$$ expensive perfumes running errands.
