Guess for Women

Alright, I probably have left at least one of two reviews on here but wanted to circle back around to it because, J yet again, for the full size for $19.99 CAD at Shoppers Drug Mart. So first of all...I will say that this type of perfume is my jam! It’s my love!!!! My first perfume I ever fell in love with with Dior Addict 2 and low and behold this is a beautiful dupe for that :) it last long, on clothes and skin, so long as it’s not overloaded onto the skin or clothes etc (ie-shower gel-lotion-perfume etc) and you just gave yourself a spray in the usual spots, I always try to use the lotion to go with it or if I don’t have that type lotion that I scented lotion and the perfume I’m wearing over tops-helps a lot-I spray my hair brush/comb hair from a distance which also helps a lot too-again these are office friendly procedures, I wouldn’t go about doing them if you work in a. “Scent free zone” quick question-_am I the only one who think it’s a big bunch of BS with all of this over sensitivity to fragrance. I get there are allergic reactions that can happen but it’s not to EVERY single perfume-.there must be a a specific note!?!? Am I wrong for thinking that!!!! I don’t know I just know a LOT of people who do the oh my soul that candle was so so overwhelming with fragrance that I could barely breath and all i wanna do is say “ B!t<# PLEASE!!” Perhaps it’s just the people that I personally have meet that say those things that are hypochondriacs, attention lover and potentially seekers, etc etc. Okay so I digress and end my rant on that note :)

There are perfumes u love and they don't love your skin. Too rosy too sweet too much vanilla too flowery too cloying too powdery.But u still love them but in the air or on someone else or just in your outer clothes. That means that perfume is not for you. THEN there are perfumes u love all around that go with your chemistry and u feel like a pretty Barbie doll. and u can find it for under $20. But u end up moving on to different perfumes. u end up blind buying again again hitting and missing. U may have tried some that cost a fortune only to end up going back to It.... the tried and true GUESS women's perfume. This is the only perfume where I didn't question if somebody liked it or not. I didn't care. I was confident like this is me and it balances on my skin without being a rosy candy vanilla amber mess like I've been coming across in many of my latest scent binges. It's the right balance. From my stories of first smelling it downtown in the summer. This is $60 worth perfume going for $15. Imagine beautiful girls in silver skirts (the silver dress Beyonce had on in the Pulse Summer edition ads) with their headphones strutting down Magnificent Mile while they paint the town with pink lipsticks and wherever they walk peonies appear.

This fragrance works like it was made for me! It was a blind buy and though relatively inexpensive, I was very skeptical about it since the set of notes stated is very new to me..And yet, ever since I sprayed it on initially I am utterly and hopelessly addicted to it..This truly is my idea of heaven in a bottle! I guess the notes vary according to one's body chemistry, but strangely I get only a faint whiff of the green apple sourness..The fragrance quickly settles to freesia and peony for me, both of which I adore! I have come to realize I must be a floral person since I mostly hog after floral fragrances, but this one is a clean fragrance with a crisp dry-down, which I find perfect for the tropical climate I live in.. Lasts on me for several hours and I love how I can still smell it on my clothes after a long time. Perfect sillage - in fact it creates a deliciously fragrant aura without being overpowering, as I have been told frequently ...I would definitely stock Guess for Women in my little collection to last me a lifetime!

After reading that some people find this similar to Addict2 and Bright Crytsal I ventured into shoppers drug mart, aaaaaaaand how great is it that is only 19.99!!!! I thought it was a sale but NO it is 19.99 all the time, for the 75ml bottle!!!! It was painfully weak when I was trying it, but the next day it was perfect! Maybe I was stuffed up the night before, either way it is amazing! I love this smell! Being the type of gal who "goes against the grain" in everything I do, this is very main stream for my liking! That being said, I don't care lol it is so fresh, so sweet but not sugary sweet, fruity but not gross fruity! I'm not sure about all you perfume addicts out there, but I am VERY liberal when applying a perfume, perhaps too liberal....well no I am definetly too liberal lol perfumes don't last me near long enough!!! Anywho, I love that it's so inexpensive, and I love the scent! WIN WIN WIN

The scent is so delicious, kinda similar to Bright Crystal but more unisex amd fruitier. I tried a tester at a store and it lasted on me for 6 hours, and projected nicely; but when I purchased it the longevity is so bad, like 2 hrs. The tester was almost empty, so since I bought two small bottles I'll leave one to macerate, even if it doesn't get stronger I like to treat it as a body splash/eau de cologne, for the price is real nice but get it on discount, you can find it as low as $20 dlls. Edit: Confirmed 🥰 Spray and let it sit, I've had it for about three months and has much better projection and longevity than when recently bought, lasts me about 6hrs now, which is fine for the price and freshness of it.

I fell in love on the first spritz, simply divine! Great combination of energizing fruity floral with a little hint of spice is just awesome, esp. on the first two minutes. Initial spritz reminds me of Versace Bright Crystal, middle notes of KP Meow, and drydown of Gucci Envy Me. If you tried the latter scents, Guess Women will no longer be a surprise. It's very soft and delicate that I could hardly smell it after 5 mins... and sadly it's totally gone on my skin after 20 mins. This is just one of my faves with softest sillage and poorest lasting power. Gave it a try numerous times but same results. If only it has better sillage and longevity, would probably be my signature scent **Sigh**

Every single time I wear this perfume I get compliments. I wore it today to go grocery shopping and as I was getting a trolley the lady next to me said "Oh my goodness you smell so good. I love your perfume." I blind bought this about 2 years ago after watching YouTuber Coco Pebz saying she wore this on her Caribbean holiday and how good it is. It is a bright uplifting, fun, girly spring/summer scent. It projects really well and has good longevity. I get about 6 hours on my skin. The notes that stand out for me are the apple, peach, bergamot, strawberry, freesia, peony and musk. Unlike what others have said, I am way past my teenage years and I totally enjoy this. Wear whatever you like.

My love affair with Guess (New) perfume. I remember it came out in 2003 and I could smell it coming out of the Guess store downtown Chicago on State Street in the summer. The soft pink peony green apple wafted thru the air was just so urban young and happening at that time. Miss Dior Cherie, Max Mara, and Guess was all I could smell on city girls. Fast forward 13 years later and this is easily comparable to Versace Bright crystal. After the green apple notes in the top and middle wear down it is bright crystal although bright crystal is more aquatic pink throughout guess more floral fruity then changes to bright crystal pink....and WALA! Guess is a fraction of the price!

i used to consider that perfume as a NOTHING special perfume i used to spray it from time to time and i dunt knew , i cant get any thing special on my nose , just fresh perfume but nothing special.., until 2 days ago i had a friend and she spreed it on her when she entered the room, and woow its the 1st time i smell it on some other gurl, and i re-discovering that perfume, how nice,feminine,refreshing,sweet,powdery that perfume..!! its AMAZING, really sooo nice with the floral note but not over powering at all, its a floral note that makes u smell at once ,so gurly,elegant,tender and suitable for all occasions its perfume for modern gurl

Simply lovely! Guess Silver is a perfect fragrance if you have no idea what to wear on the day! It is not to say it is generic or boring, not at all - it is a multi-purpose fragrance, so to speak :-) It will fit a nice skirt suit as well as plush lounger trousers. It will be suitable to be worn during family meetings as well as job interviews. Whether winter or summer - it blends well with my skin chemistry and uplifts my spirits. The most pronounced are magnolia, berries, peach and freesia. Lasting power and silage are both decent. Guess is my perfect floral fruity fragrance. The bottle is pretty. Overall 9/10.

I think I haven't found a perfume that I like on the first spritz. All are too strong to my liking, so yes, one has to wait for a few minutes to get what the scent is. This is the same feeling I had with this perfume. Too citrusy at first blast. But the scent after maybe 20 minutes turns into a light floral and fruity smell. I'm leaning towards the fruity - and I gotta tell you, the fruit mix is so good. I do not have the nose to decipher each fruit that I get a whiff of. But they're perfectly blended. :) 8 out of 10 for me (just because it's not longlasting and sillage is just close to skin).

If you want a pleasant, good, long lasting strawberry, here you have it. This is overall a very nice fragrance, don't get fooled by affordable price, this was expensive when first came out, I went through couple bottles before. This is one that if you pass by the smell will still linger in the air. Everyone mentions Versace Bright Christal, had that before, keep your money and get this, beats that 10-fold, better quality in my opinion. This still has power and silage.

I love this one. I first came across it on a visiting relative, who emerged from the bathroom smelling so divine I stopped in my tracks. I thought she had used an amazing body wash, it was that sort of clean smell, but not soapy. I bought it that day, and spray it on first thing every morning. I even go to sleep eager to wake up and smell it again. Sadly, it lasts only about 30 to 45 minutes. But I will always buy it. The scent is amazing.

I owned a mini heart shaped bottle of this and I could never remember it's name. I was so disappointed when it finished. Years have gone and I still think of the scent. It blended so well with my chemistry. I think I will repurchase a full sized bottle. It doesn't remind me of Versace Bright Crystal at all, I sold that one about two weeks ago there was a note in there that made me sick. They are two very different scents in my opinion.

I tried it once in the winter & I didn't think it was remarkable. Now, we're in Summer :) And, I honestly can't say which one I love more ( Guess or Guess Gold)!! * This one is delicious & feminine!! Fruity floral , but not too fruity or sweet.. just perfect!! * Guess Gold: is more for colder weather.. it's soooo sexy & you'll never wear it without getting tons of compliments!!:) Good Job GUESS (Y)

I love this!!! My second perfume and on my second bottle or 3rd? oh well but it does stay on all day. be sure to spray it into your hair and on your collarbone/ shirt. You will smell it the next day on your shirt. It really lasts. Very alcoholy when you first open your bottle so air yourself or be in a well ventilated area. :) Perfect in fall/winter when you snuggle your clothes. :D

smell really nice..warm and cozy this is floral frag with a hint of sweet gourmand to me suitable for hot weather like in Thailand I love it for not too bold, not too sweet,....just perfectly perfect for someone who wants a friendly, feminine and beautiful frag not offensive it's very humble and shy perfume(IMO) kinda old school for me but still lovely to wear

An easy reach. All seasons. And cheap. I got this perfume 10 years ago and recently bought another bottle. I can't do anything else than buy it. Of all my enormeous collection, it's the one that gave me the more compliments from people. After 4 hours, I only smelled it close to the skin, but people keep asking me what perfume I'm wearing. I highly recommend.

Its always summer where I live so, good fruity florals are always needed in my wardrobe. This to me smells very feminine, fresh and happy. Also for the price, this can be a good everyday scent! *Of all the perfumes I have... this was the one that got the question "you smell so good, what perfume are you wearing?" - that question was asked by a male.

I remembered smelling this at the mall in high school (mid 2000s). I finally bought some about 2 years ago and I think it is as good as I remember. It is a youthful scent, rather playful, naive, and extremely flirty - but inoffensive. It lasts surprisingly long for how light of a scent it is. I consistently get compliments while I am wearing this.

Received this as a gift in my teens and was one of my favourites, definitely improves the longer you have it. I have bought it again. Lovely fresh, floral smell, a touch of sweetness. Longevity improves slightly after sitting for a while, scent gets better too. Great for a light fragrance during the day and in the summer. Not over baring

I absolutely adore this! It does smell a bit like Versace Bright Crystal, but to me it's a bit sweeter than that! People have been saying the lasting power is weak but I think that is how long it lasts on the skin. I sprayed it on my clothes and after a nap that lasted a quite a while, I'm still consumed by it! Beautiful blind buy!!!

This is a lovely floral perfume. Predominately Magnolia but I get a tea note and I think it's the Jasmine. This is very strong on me and lasts for hours but I am quite liberal with how I spray this. If you are looking for a long lasting, budget friendly Magnolia scent. Definitely give this one a go, it's a keeper.

To me it shines in the hottest summer days. Floral sweet, musky, with citrus, and medium longevity. The perfect summer dumb reach. There's something cold, clinical, and metallic about it as well. Makes me think of CSI Miami. It's a little screechy in cold weather but it's so charming overall. 7/10

I really love this scent!!! It would be my signature scent it if lasted longer on me. It is light but still very present. Will keep buying it and wearing to events I only have to stay a couple hours at. I might even buy one of those travel sprays so I can refresh and wear it all day.

I have gotten so many compliments on this when I wear it! It is sensational and has great staying power on me...its like being enveloped in your own tasty perfume cloud and enraptured by happiness. I love Guess, and it agrees well with me. Not suitable for everyone though.

With all those sweet fruits and flowers this could have just been a generic pretty floral but the Oakmoss brings it to a new level of fresh that is uplifting. Excellent for a warmer climate like mine. We only really get 2 seasons and this is perfect for warm weather.

Remember getting this as a present from my Dad a few years back and instantly falling in love with it; plus getting tons of compliments from wearing it! Absolutely lovely smell and I would definitely be getting it again once I finish using all my current scents.

I am 25 y/o and I have been using it since I was 14 maybe, this is suitable for all ages, the more u grow the more u see elegance and clasiness in it It is a strong scent really and a huge compliment getter It's really affordable as well so that's a bonus

I have been ignoring this for so long thinking it was just gonna smell clean, but wow where is the beach? this smells amazingly beachy even smell some sun tan oil, this will be a fantastic summer scent.

Fresh, fruity, delicate and feminine for young woman and teenagers. I can smell berry and what i love of course vanilla and musk at the end. Not a unique one but still worth every penny.

this and still from jlo are my always go to perfumes.. they do not smell alike, but they both smell "clean".. I can spray this and hours later still smell it on my cloths and skin..

Simple, yet sparkly & uplifting. Used to give me the biggest confidence boost. I went through a strawberry phase. I liked wearing this with Strawberry scented lotions or oils. Yum!

I don't even remember where I got this perfume - I've just had it for years but it's undoubtedly one of my favorites. It's fresh, fruity and I always get compliments on it!

This perfume genre (floral) is my most favorite. It also smells fab! Too bad it doesn't go well with my chemistry. It smells horrible on my skin. :(

this perfume smells just like a rich auntie who is covered in pearls and always smells good because the perfume lasts at least 6 hours

To my nose it smells like a classic rosey floral kinda perfume. Best for summers, its fresh in a floral way

Pleasant, soft, lovely and safe perfume. Guess by Guess is one of those scents that are like an elegant but comfortable outfit in my wardrobe that I love wearing on those days when I want to feel good and relaxed at the same time. The fragrance has a soft and delicate texture that I find soothing but at the same time the scent has style and nice modern ambience. It is discreet, non-intrusive and not aggressive, which makes it an ideal office and daily scent. The scent opens with a fresh and pleasant combination of crispy apple, citrus and just a hint of strawberry. The composition is not overly sweet but rather invigorating and light. The combination of magnolia and peony is refreshing and enjoyable in the heart notes. The other flowers are not that noticeable on my skin. The scent transforms into a floral musk in the base. The sillage and longevity are medium. I re-apply the scent throughout a day. The words ‘pleasant’ and ‘safe’ are often used in a negative way for saying that the scent is generic and boring but this is not the case with Guess by Guess. The composition works well. And though the scent is a bit synthetic, it does not ruin it for me. On a contrary, I think it works fine with creating a safe and modern fragrance, which is soft, feminine and pleasant to wear. Overall score is 7.5/10.

I bought this a few years ago and still have a half a bottle, It's the 50 mill EDP and I forked out a miserable 17 bucks at Target on clearance: I always get compliments on this when I'm wearing it. You still smell like you, they say to me. I can't really determine personally what I smell with this, as I'm relying on my fellow 'Fragrantica's' to educate me, and you have in so many way's taught me so much. I've had fragrances since I was eight or nine and I'm well in my second half century now. Never too old to learn. I quite like this fragrance, it isn't in the wow factor but it's pleasing to my nose and has good sillage and longevity on my fine self and stay's true to form from start to last whiff. It seems to be one of those love hate fragrances which I feel morphs with one's own chemistry. It's worth having in one's perfume wardrobe as and all occasion mild weather addition. Magnolia and freesia, a bit of apple with a hint of citrus and strawberry but you don't necessarily smell individual notes unless you think about it. I think that it's because this is one of those fragrances where the notes are blended well, so it smells like a "perfumey" floral, sweet with a touch of fruit. This was gifted to me by a friend and I've really enjoyed having this in my collection. It was my favorite for the last two years. This wears better on me in spring to fall. On me, the notes smell prettier in warmer weather as opposed to winter. (I find myself less critical of fragrances that are gifts as opposed to ones that I "blind buy":) There are some similarities between this and versace's bright crystal. There is a "harshness" to Bright Crystal but it is a fragrance that I like. Edit: My favorite part is the dry-down (2-4 hrs. of wear), this mellows just a bit and smells even prettier :)

I smell no fruit on me at all. It's a very white floral, bordering on soapy. Strong lily drydown. You do need a heavy hand with it but the price is so good, that's ok. I like it. Not the biggest lily of the valley fan, and it isn't helping my headache- it didn't give it to me, just making it worse. That said, I m not sorry that I have it. It smells pretty nice for summer. Doubt I will buy it again, but Iike it enough to wear for now. And won't wear it when I have a headache. EDIT- so, yes, there is a fruity, sweet accord in the opening that I missed my first try. But, for me, it dries quickly to a white floral and the base is lily of the valley. EDIT July- this perfume is unusual. Earlier I smelled the lily ..tonight I refreshed it and all I smelled was the fruit. I did get a compliment today, which was nice. I'm liking this one more and more as I wear it.

Guess for women is a pretty scent. It’s youthful, happy, fresh and clean, very affordable and versatile. I can totally see a sweet young lady wearing it to college or a startup job. It’s also great for anyone running errands on a summer or spring day. It has abstract fruits (mainly green apples 🍏, citrus and some berries) and fresh florals (mainly magnolia and peony) on a base of clean white musk and woods. A tad synthetic but very pleasing and enjoyable for people around you. Its performance is on the lower end of moderate which is acceptable for an EDT. My take on it is lack of character and edge. You’ll blend in rather than stand out which is ok on many days, but there are thousands of perfumes on the market that fit that bill. As a collector I ended up buying more than need for ten lifetimes 🙈 but that’s not the fault of the perfume.

well, i don't get any of the top notes at all, i spray few spritzes of this one and it goes directly to a beautiful garden of roses, jasmine, lily & magnolia are the most prominent to my nose, it's a very beautiful scent but the problem is -yup, it's refreshing & light- so not my signature fume or smn, but i definitely wear it every now & again for this beautiful garden smell; it also dries down to a strong powdery musky scent, the dry-down is way stronger than the top (non-existent for me) and middle notes; longevity isn't that amazing, once original notes fly off after maybe 10-15 min at most, it all goes down to the base note so i need to re-apply every few minutes till i just give up and apply smn else. overall, it's really nice... just nice
