Blueberry

Well, I ordered Gulf Orchid Blueberry Musk bc I was very curious about how Aldehydes would be used in modern perfumery and I also LOVE anything Blueberry and happen to have been looking for a unisex leaning "Blueberry" fragrance that a guy could pull off. When I first sprayed it on my hand, I'd said "damn, too feminine, and smells like shampoo/conditioner", but after spraying a good amount on my shirt and my neck, it's actually very nice, and the Aldehydes seem to pop more on clothes making it more "tinney/soapy" and lean more "unisex" also smells VERY clean and "shower fresh". I think that the aldehydes makes BlueBerry Musk smell great and it would otherwise actually smell like shampoo or something without the aldehydes. This has decent longevity on skin, but CRAZY good longevity on clothes (smelled it for a COUPLE DAYS on the shirt Id sprayed some on that I wear around the house). I give Golf Orchid Blueberry Musk an 8 outta 10, its a very nice and modern take on aldehydes. I recommend getting this one on clothes FO SHO😉! Just pulled out and dusted off my bottle of Gulf Orchid Blueberry Musk (I have a huge collection) and got inspired to come back here to see how folks have been reacting to it as of late. I must say that I'm like SUUUPER confused as to why folks are rating this as having poor performance? Now, on skin yeah, it lasts 5 to 6 hours, but this stuff stays on clothes FOR EVA! Plus it projects nicely! As a guy I do find that it leans a bit feminine, but like many here on Fragrantica have mentioned, its almost like clean, crisp, fruity laundry detergent which helps it be more in the "Unisex" territory. Im LOVING the Aldehydes here and the touch of Clean- Blueberry. A very nice-Spring/Summer hidden gem with good staying power ESPECIALLY on clothes! What I enjoy most about this scent is that although the aldehydes are NOT to prominent or Off-Putting, I can definately distinguish them which is sorta rare in Modern fragrances featuring Aldehydes. A Super fresh scent with a touch of Fruity-Sweetness that lasts! Me gusta MUCHO!😁

This is a really cooling refreshing scent. I smell blueberries and musk mostly, a little amber and something aquatic.There is some floral and fruity sweetness in there as well that gets more pronounced in the dry down. The aquatic freshness in it would fit a man very well, the drydown with the floral fruity sweetness is imo more feminine, so I voted unisex here. I am really curious how this would smell on a man.. I tried the Pomegranate of the same series yesterday but that one is a lot softer and way more subtle than this fragance. This one is a lot stronger, has more of a sillage between armslength and within 6 feet. And lasts longer, the pomegranate lasted 1,5 hours, This one lasts about 3 to 4 hours on my skin, probably longer with a lotion base or on clothes. This is going to be a great fragance when it's very hot in the summer imo.

Smells like you washed a white cotton t-shirt in a blueberry scented laundry detergent, and then hung out to air dry in the sun. Lovely clean musk with just a hint of blueberry. Unisex leaning slightly feminine, but any guy can pull this off as well.

This is a musky aldehydic powder with a small blueberry whiff. I layer this with Gallagher Fragrances: Tonkazure and smell great. This projects greatly for the first few hours, then settles. This last long on clothes.

I like it, but I only got it today. I suspect that this will become more impressive when left to macerate. Good skin scent, that could be safely worn to work, on public transport or for working from home. I suspect I should have purchased Blueberry Musk instead as I am trying to recreate the vibe of a long-lost fragrance friend.

A musky blueberry take on Commodity’s raspberry forward “Juice.” Berry soaked florals, nice and fresh; Great after shower fragrance. More along the lines of detergent rather than shampoo, which I prefer.

simply cleannnn and fresh, the blueberry scent is light but i don't mind!!

easiest way to describe the scent - 50% baby powder - 40% laundry detergent - 10% blueberry juice the smell is eh, just mostly a blast of baby powder and nothing special, paid like $27usd so im not that mad. however i do recommend if you're into baby powder scented perfumes

If you're like me and can’t stand floral notes, avoid purchasing this fragrance. It might not be too floral for the majority of people though.

Pro tip: layer with Demeter Blueberry perfume oil to enhance blueberry note. Demeter is awesome for that. You can get popcorn, dark chocolate, amber, soap, jasmine, petrichor, grass, tea, sweet pea, vetiver, oud...just about anything and enhance whatever scent you have with a note you want more of. They aren't all super high quality but they do the trick. I mix popcorn with Miss Dior parfum to make Miss Dior Cherie. Want to add to the soap note: try pure soap or clean skin.

I'm a huge fan of any blueberry-forward scents and I absolutely love ktp2309's comment below, it's very accurate! Soft, clean, cottony blueberry detergent. I think it's a fantastic after-shower scent and will really shine in late spring/early summer. Can't wait to own this one!

A very boring kind of sharp fresh scent imo. It’s cheap so I don’t regret purchasing but I only spray this when I’m bored at home.

Nary a trace of blueberry in this. So disappointing! Love the color of the juice inside, though.
