Matcha Latte

This is a really beautiful fragrance and I liked it from first sniff. It has a creamy, milky sweetness with soft tea notes that make it a cozy but still refreshing. I have to admit that I’ve never smelled or tasted matcha in real life, it's not something I've been interested in. So I can’t compare the fragrance directly to the real thing. What I do smell is a very pretty tea-like scent with a creamy sweetness. The almond milk and milk cream come across as frothy and smooth, like cold foam. It makes me think of sweet cream mixed with milk and vanilla syrup. The scent feels cozy, but there’s also something cool about it. Some people describe it as warm, but to me it feels more like a chilled, silky drink. The tonka in the heart is soft with a nutty sweetness that blends beautifully with the creamy notes. As it settles, the fragrance sits closer to the skin. The dry down turns into a soft musky scent with a gentle vanilla warmth. The sandalwood keeps it feeling smooth too. Every note blends together in a very calm and comforting way. Something interesting I notice is a faint hint of what smells like creamy, milky, mango. It’s very subtle, but there’s a tiny fruity creaminess that pops up for me now and then. I’m curious if anyone else picks up on that. I'm loving the cozy, soft, and slightly dreamy feel of this perfume. It reminds me a bit of Lactea Divina by Paris Corner. They feel like close relatives to my nose, though Lactea Divina leans more like oat milk while this one feels more like frothy sweet cream. Performance has been solid. It lasts several hours on my skin and settles into a gentle skin scent with a creamy musky base. Projection isn’t huge, but it creates a soft scent bubble that feels personal and comforting. Another winner from Gulf Orchid!

I really liked this fragrance. At first spray, it is very green. But then once you let it dry down, you get more creamy and sweet vanilla. This is the best Gulf Orchid to have come out recently in my opinion. Smells like a true matcha latte! The greenness cuts through the sweet a little so that it’s not too heavy. Definitely can be worn year round. Highly recommend!

The more I use it the more I like it! A beautiful blend of matcha milk almonds and florals.m6 first perfume with a matcha note and I love it. Also beautiful layered with the rice milk perfume. Wish it would last longer but I don't mind re applying...or over spraying. 😉

This was a lovely surprise. Thé matcha really shines in the opening and then you get hints of green tea as it dries down. Like others have said it smells similar to Blanche Bete dna mixed with green tea/matcha notes.

Green tea softened with almond milk and vanilla, slightly sweet, slightly powdery. Calm, creamy, a little addictive... your favorite matcha, but on skin.

Quite literally an almond milk matcha latte with Starbucks level sweetness. Actually lasts a while and is fairly strong for the price. It's lovely.

I cannot believe nobody mentioned similarity with Kilian-Princess. Princess is one of my top 5 perfumes for life but the performance and longevity is driving me insane hence I was looking to find another matcha perfumes. I tried many and all of them were really earthy, woody leaning more masculine. This is matcha you order in Costa coffee or Starbucks. There is literally one drink in Costa coffee I just recently had - it was iced matcha with coconut that smells exactly like this perfume. Not saying there is any coconut but the sweetness reminds me the drink. I still think Princess is #1 matcha perfume. I am looking forward to see how this will macerate.

When snagging at the day of release I was expecting ‘Rice Milk’ to surpass this, but that was not the case. Whatever Gulf Orchid/Maison Asrar used in ‘Vanilla Voyage’ has certainly been utilized here. I enjoy ‘Blanche Bete’ but this doesn’t resemble it at all to me. What I get is a bright green pseudo ‘Vanilla Voyage’ that’ll be fun to wear for the upcoming warm weather. Im not telling you how to spend your money, but (to me) this is the best buy of the two. 😇

Matcha Latte is an extremely powdery, dense, lactonic, and gourmand fragrance. I usually love powdery perfumes, but here the rich milky and sugary base becomes overwhelming and almost nauseating for me. I don't get the impression of a fresh, green, vegetal matcha. Instead, it smells more like a rich, creamy dessert packed with calories than a freshly whisked cup of matcha. The powdery facet gives it a pleasant clean scent vibe at first, but the gourmand character is so dominant that I wouldn't really classify it as a clean fragrance. It's first and foremost a bold gourmand. That said, the performance is absolutely outstanding. The projection is massive, and the longevity is incredible. On my skin, it lasts all day, which is actually a downside for me because I don't enjoy wearing this scent for that long. Interestingly, people around me seem to love catching it in the air, even though I don't enjoy smelling it on myself throughout the day. I think this fragrance will appeal to Gen Z fragrance lovers who enjoy sweet, milky gourmands. As a millennial with a preference for more traditional, old-school perfumery, I'm simply not the target audience. Personal rating: 5/10 (Amazing performance, but the scent profile just isn't for me.)

Well for me it misses the mark. I’ve been on a hunt for a proper matcha (either a gourmand take like this one or a freshie) and this one sadly does not pass my matcha standards. The opening is very green, downright bitter even, which gave me some hope initially, but it’s a generic green tea scent up top (think any generic green tea perfume) not a realistic matcha scent. To it’s credit it has tried - it is powdery which is expected of matcha, the opening is much more green than many other matcha perfumes I’ve tried, but it misses the mark and doesn’t hit realistic matcha. Once it dried down it settles as a VERY sweet almond milk with some sandalwood and musk with tea lingering faintly in the background. It also reads a bit almost vanila-y to me. Not worth the hype and in my opinion not a safe blind buy - the opening is super green and bitter, which is not for everyone and the dry down is very sweet and milky, which once again, not for everyone, as I can see how this one might read as nauseating due to how sweet it is.

I really like this. I also enjoy Blanche bete which will make perfect sense when I follow by saying this is pretty much her with a very powdery green tea note. There it is. Uncomplicated and easy to wear. I think this might be a bit too milky to wear in the summer but any other time is perfect. Edit: changed my review because after a while of the fragrance wearing on my skin it becomes quite prickly. I’m not sure how to describe it other than one of the notes possibly the musk is becoming screechy.

Smells nothing like Princess or Match Made in Heaven, much more green and earthy. Sandalwood is prominent and reminds me of sandalwood in browngirljane Casablanca.

It does not smell like Zara Cloud Sorbet.... Really, no similarity. And not similar to Blanche Bête either... 🤦

I am writing this less than 30 minutes from taking this out the box because I am actually in SHOCK that I have seen such overwhelming praise over this perfume. I have a couple arab fragrances so I know to do a couple sprays out of the box etc but this is just terrible. I really hoped I wouldn't have a similar reaction to this as one of the few negative reviews here but my dear California_Dreamin spoke truth because this is terrible. None of the alleged notes are being celebrated here, instead this is a terrible amber dense heavy perfume with no distinguishable quality other than being offensive. This smells like a market, it smells like a chemical cleaning product that might be vaguely pleasant in the context of a previously dirty room. For anyone wanting "creamy and comforting gourmand nuances. It opens with the soft sweetness of almond milk wrapped around a vivid matcha accord, leading into a smooth heart of green tea, milk cream, and tonka bean that adds warmth and a lightly nutty depth. In the drydown, sandalwood, vanilla, and clean musk create a soft, modern base that feels cosy and serene, with a gentle trail that emphasizes milky, woody, and slightly sweet tones." do NOT blind buy this and I am being so serious. I don't know if this is a bad batch (inexcusable still) but there is nothing redeeming here and if everyone who has reviewed this is smelling the same thing this is my new litmus test for if I trust someone's nose or not. I am hoping this macerates into something entirely different and if it does I will update this review but for now. Atrocious.

Ordered it from Amazon under the impression that it would be a warm creamy scent with pronounced matcha tea notes. Unfortunately, I found this absolutely horrid: unwearable, suffocating, with a “permeating wallpaper” staying power. I could not scrub it off completely in the shower(!) Overall, it is a scent I find awful on all fronts. No matcha notes detected. It is quite linear — cloyingly noxious amber, synthetic musk, and the unbearable screechy woodsy base that makes one cough. It fills the room, and I, for one, would leave it immediately to gag in private. I cannot imagine anyone young and pretty wearing this scent. I KNOW these amber disasters are trendy nowadays, and positive reviews only prove it, but I just don’t see how it could be sexy or memorable. Definitely not a safe blind buy.

To me and my nose this smells extremely similar to Matcha milk and Match made in heaven. The longevity and projection is also great for me, I get a good 5/6 hours on skin and all day on clothes. A steal for the price!

Am I crazy for smelling a sweeter version of diptyque lilyphea from this? I get a sweet green hay scent from this, zero matcha!
