Rice Milk

What a lovely cosy scent! It opens with a beautiful nutty hazelnut note. I've never smelled hazelnut in a perfume before, so it's exciting to discover something new. It's not too dry or overly creamy either, and the hazelnuts still have their skins on. I don't get any bergamot or lily of the valley distinctly. The rice soon comes into play and blends with the hazelnut. Wow so pretty! The fragrance has a slight lactonic feeling, but not in a typical milky or rice pudding way. It's more like the creaminess of rice starch, whilst the rice itself smells lightly toasted. I hope that makes sense, it's quite hard to describe! There's a floral lift in the background that keeps everything balanced. I couldn't tell you which flowers I'm smelling because they're blended seamlessly. I don't pick up on the sweet almond note really. It's musky too, which adds a softness and makes these foodie notes feel more wearable for everyday. In the dry down, the milkiness fades and the rice remains. I'm smelling cashmere woods and maybe a touch of cedar, along with the musk. The woods aren't overpowering. I don't smell any vanilla or cream... and honestly I wouldn't want to! I expected this to be sweeter and more floral, but I love that it's a bit savoury. I have a sample of L'Eau Papier, and can definitely see why people compare them. Rice Milk takes the rice in a nuttier more lactonic direction, whilst LP feels drier and woodier. I love the smell of both, sue me! LP only lasts an hour on my skin sadly, whereas RM gives me 3 hours. I know, it's still on the weaker side... but I'm hoping the performance improves with age. We'll see!

I got this one today for my birthday! Its so heavenly!!! Im Obviously a bit biased since my mother bought it for me, but upon opening i noticed how the bottle was a bit smaller than i expected. Despite that its very delicately designed, the rose-gold accents are absolutely gorgeous !!! On my first spray, i got hit with the smell of orange blossom accompanied with a lactonic smoothness to it. Its a rather light scent, so i can already assume its sillage is rather moderate. If i had to describe a scene to this itd be standing midst a field of wheat, threatening to be taken over by flowers blossoming between. A compination of morning glory, poppies and daisies. The sun is slowly arising, and the ground feels damp from left over petrichor of the night before. There are white butterflies swirling the field, up early just like you! The sky is a pale blue which fades into a yellower tone, and the clouds are in different shades of pink and peach; thats what this smells like to me!! This is also a safe blind buy, coming from a blind buyer!

What a lovely fragrance. Upon first spray I was immediately reminded of Diptyque L’eau papier. Like they strongly resemble but not quite 1:1. Very musky throughout. I’m oddly am reminded of the smells of newborn baby’s breath. It Smells of creamy, light rice paper to sum it up. I also get some resemblance of glossier you to my nose. I was surprised Ambroxan wasn’t a note in this fragrance. As it goes from wet-dry the woodiess from that cedar wood comes through. I didn’t really get any halzenut in the opening and the almond in here is not nutty. It’s more of an almond milk. The fragrance went through a bit of a journey on my skin. So comforting, powdery, and well balanced I can’t wait to add a full bottle to my collection. She going to be perfect for my bedtime routines.

I absolutely love this scent; its everything the name says- Rice Milk! The rice scent is there but in a refreshing way, not a yucky starchy note at all. It is complemented with all the other notes. This perfume has a pleasant creamy, fresh, light musky DNA. It is lovely! If you like Lactea Divina or Her Confession, you may like this one. It's not as gourmand leaning as those, but still in that same scent family. The only downside is that I wish it lasted longer and i'm someone who oversprays, I had to re-spray 3 times in one day. Its worth it though, and since its cheap i'll just stock up on more bottles.

I fuxwitit. My bottle was pre-owned, so I'm guessing that it's pretty settled atp. It does open up a bit harsh with the florals but that subsides fairly quickly, letting the sweetness and lactonic notes overtake. A little nutty, a little starchy, not overly sweet, not overly lactonic. Personally, I wish this had more of a pronounced rice note but I actually love this as is. It's a more versatile gourmand but I really can't see myself wearing this in the heat or the cold. Definitely more of a spring and fall scent. Cozy af, it's perfect for around the house any time of year.

First impression: this smells really nice and comforting right away. It has a soft, warm quality that somehow reminds me of a baby. You can clearly pick up the rice note, and the creaminess gives it a smooth, milky warmth. Overall it feels cozy, gentle, and very comforting on the skin.

It's very unique and different then what I usually enjoy, after getting match latte and loving it I had to try this one as well. It starts out very nutty but then it becomes more milky and smoth.the rice note is very special.the florals are gentle and well balanced with the musk.

This smells exactly like the notes desrcribe. Slightly sweet, slightly fresh, ricey..? Milky and nutty. I love it. Very addictive. Only complaints is that is does not last that long on my skin. I have to keep reapplying because I want to keep smelling this delightful fragrance.

I was trying to find a decent mango sticky rice fragrance, and this obviously doesn't have mango thought I might as well give it a try. Kind of reminds me of Horchata with a little less spice. Very creamy and unique, without being too offensive.

This reminds me of a slightly less sweet Bath & Body Works Milk. And I’m here for it because the Milk line is my favorite ever BBW scent. Gulf Orchid Rice Milk layers perfectly with it.

Creamy, nutty, slightly sweet... like warm milk with crushed almonds and a soft floral whisper. Comforting, cozy, almost edible... the scent of staying in bed longer than you should.

A really good comforting scent. Warm and powdery without being sweet. I pick up the same starchy rice note that is in L'Eau Papier and powderiness in Kenzo Amour. Very cozy.

soft, warm fragrance -- a must try!

I truly feel like with lactonic fragrances, you’re either blessed... or you’re not. On some skin, they bloom into this sweet, buttery creamy clouds and on others, they can turn sour or slightly acidic. Luckily, my skin loves them. Rice Milk is a lactonic gourmand , it melts into my skin in the softest, most feminine way. In the air, it opens like warm, steaming sweet rice almost like sticky jasmine rice it’s starchy, but gently sugared. As it settles, that sweetness turns into a delicate, powdery, baby-soft scent that instantly took me back to high school... when I was obsessed with Gwen Stefani Harajuku Lovers Baby perfume. That same innocent girly, comforting aura. I’ve been yearning for a nostalgic scent like this . What makes this one stand out to me is the feeling of it. Most skin scents feel warm and cozy, but this one feels cool on the skin, like a milky toner on a freshly cleansed face. Light, airy, soft .... There’s also a gentle floral presence floating through it like jasmine, lily of the valley, it smells like petals...and instead of a traditional rosy floral sweetness, this floral leans more like white roses just clean, sheer, and ethereal rather than pink and sugary. It’s very ‘clean girl,’ meets “garden girl” but she’s not boring. She stays on my skin all day !! 7+ hrs with body oil applied and for it to be a skin scent, it is very radiant but in a soft, gentle non-offensive way....sometimes I’ll spray this on my sheets because it just has that soft angelic gourmand sensation that pulls you in ! this just makes me want to fall sleep on a little rice puff cloud with harps playing and birds tweeting in the air.

I did not have high hopes for this, I bought it on sale because the notes interested me and I really wanted to try it. I am so glad I bought it, it is beautiful. I get a pepper note even though there is none listed, it is creamy and comforting, the rice really comes through, as well as sweet vanilla and some musk. I don't get the bergamont but I do get the almond flower. This smells so much more expensive than it is. I have been inhaling my arm since I sprayed it. This is pretty new to me so I can't speak to the longevity etc but I will give it a proper all day wear test tomorrow. I am really happy I got this, it is excellent.

On me, this starts and stays very woody (a couple hours) and then mellows out to a musky skin scent. I've had it for a few weeks now and work it quite a bit and during that time it has not changed the way it performs. I wish it was more ricey for me and was closer to L'eau Papier (I bought it for that reason because I tried L'eau Papier in a Diptyque store once but I just cannot justify the price these days) because I love that scent. I don't mind the way that it smells because the woods it gives off make it more unisex for me. I think you could wear this basically any time of year, day or night.

This reminds me of a Korean rice drink called “Sikhye.” The rice notes are cool, watery, and refreshing! This may be the florals mixed in here giving me a more watery take. It’s not similar to leau papier - that fragrance is way more warm and like the steam off sweet rice buns. This one is more refreshing, sweet, watery, and only slightly powdery or musky. I really like it! It doesn’t project strongly so I’ve been over spraying. Unsure of longevity - need to try it longer. A strong like- but doesn’t replace my leau papier for its cozy warmth.

The first impression reminds me of the lipstick smell that my mom used to carry in her bag a long time ago. A delicate fragrance, mild, warm, like the embrace of a fragrant cloud. All the notes intertwine and they do it very well, perfectly. Perfect perfume if you work in some sensitive places where the smell should not be expressive, too strong, too intense. This is a fragrance that can be worn to the workplace and enjoyed by everyone. A real little light cloud.

This is my second review of this one - sorry! I have had it for 6 weeks now and it is literally L'eau Papier on my skin. I have both and if I spray one on each arm I cannot tell the difference. This has changed so much in 6 weeks. I loved it from the start despite getting a pepper note (which is now gone...) What beautiful fragrance that really just needed to rest before it was amazing. I am thrilled with this purchase.

It’s kind of a musky, dirty, synthetic smell when you first spray it, but the dry down and scent trail are nice. Was thinking of decluttering, but will probably keep it. I’m a fan of nutty, oatmeal, lotion skin scents. Layers well with B&BW Cashmere mist.

Not a L'eau papier dupe, but close cousin for sure. If only it has stronger projection, then I'd wear it alone. But its great for how it is anyway, good to wear after shower, for bed or for layering.

To my nose this is a woody creamy floral fragrance. At first spray I get this tiger balm smell but the beauty of this fragrance is in the dry down 😍 imo I don’t get any rice note.

Smells plasticky but strangely enough I like it. I'm going to put it away for maceration over the summer and we'll see in the fall how it develops.

Very milky, very ricey. Literally as if you were cooking rice in dairy milk. Lovely, but can get cloying in warm weather.

Name is appropriate. Sweet and cozy fragrance.

Update: after one week it is getting better. Sweeter L'eau Papier but that musty note isn't gone completely. This one is clearly trying to dupe L'eau Papier. Emphasis on trying. The opening is very similar, you get the rice, florals and creaminess, but immediately after, a musty smell comes through. Something rancid, old, damp, I cannot explain it. Then after a while, it becomes this woody lactonic scent. It is nice, but not nearly as nice as L'eau Papier. 3 out of 5 for me. It sort of scratches the itch for a more affordable version of one of my favorite perfumes, but not quite.

Similar base to Blanche Bete minus the incense; but with a dreamy rice note. This isn't nearly as milky or vanillic though It opens with a powdery cloud of roasted hazelnut and milky aromatic rice. As that fades, the Tuberose and Lily float on top of the warmth, even overpowering the rice. These florals with the almond sometimes create an accord that smells like a lotion with oats By the time it gets creamier you can hardly smell it at all unfortunately

Very powdery and milky; unfortunately not the dupe of L’eau Papier I was hoping for but will be nice for the warmer months as it has a refreshing quality to it. Reminds me of baby powder or some sort of lotion; a soapier/less sweet version of L’Artisan Le Chant de Camargue.

More floral than I expected. It opens with very light and delicate white florals. Not too sweet. Then settles into more of the rice and milk notes. In the background there's something nutty and bitter. Smells like hazelnut skins taste, like the bitter tannins in them.

Scent is pleasant but barely there. This is a Kenzo Amour dupe, only MUCH weaker, to my disappointment. Will not repurchase.

When snagging at the day of release I was expecting this to surpass its ‘Matcha Latte’ sister, but that was not the case. Im happy others are enjoying, but ‘Rice Milk’ has been odd for me. It smells like opening the door to a girl’s messy uncleaned room. Like old cosmetics products and dirty clothes balled on the floor. I see why ‘Cashmere Skin’ is in the reminds me of section, unfortunately this is bitter and just unpalatable to my nose. Im not going to bash this, but its absolutely not for me. 🤧

So glad I got sample. I do pick up on rice and slightly milky note. As it's drying down the slight floral sweetness is coming through. Overall the scent is very flat, nothing special at all. Doesn't hold candle to Papier. If you are looking for Papier dupe THIS IS NOT IT not even close. Whoever votes Papier on this scent doesn't have it, trolling or hyping it for the sell.

Very heavy rice fragrance. It is true to the name when it comes to the rice part but I don’t get any sweetness from the vanilla. It is creamy and smells slightly spoilt to my nose, both on paper and on skin. I don’t find this comforting at all. It made me want to gag.

This fragrance was a gasoline screechy mess. I agree with othe poster about wanting to make them gag. Its truly awful. No sweetness, no lactonic, no rice. Obvi som Influencers were paid to push. It is just nasty. I can only hope it evens out with maceration. T his will be my last ME purchase. Worst purchase of 2026 and maybe the last years.

Basmati rice, milk, nutty notes, very little vanilla, very little floral touches. It is nice in the opening. Unfortunately, the drydown has a heavy, scratchy mix of synthetic molecules, heavy musk, cashmeran, and my nose tells me that what they call "Amber" is just ugly Ambroxan. It irritates my sinuses. No. I don't like this.

What a pleasant surprise! Finally im not disappointed by a Middle Eastern cheap fragrance. Was good straight from box. It smells like rice pudding. And it is unique. I haven’t smelled dirty rice so i cant comment if its a dupe of anything but to me this is entirely unique and its sooo good. Its comforting and sweet with that starchy feel to it.

This is so pretty! Doesn’t smell like L’eau Papier to me. It’s more feminine and fluffy. I get the floral, nuttiness and a bit of starchiness from the rice. Also creamy and just the right amount of sweetness. It’s got a decent protection too. Definitely not a stuffy skin scent. This is just my first impression but so far so good! It’s lovely.

My first impression is if you mixed Rice, nuts and milk togheter. If you love that, you will really like this perfume. It reminds me of Ariana grande vanilla suede they have the same rice note. But its more nutty. And a little bit Blanche bete vibe. I would say this is a clean smelling perfume.

I was hoping for something like Dirty Rice or Papier - nope. All I get is generic sweet, nutty, and slightly starchy. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, and it's a great value - just not what I was hoping it would be. I have an almost-FB for sale/swap if anyone is interested.

Its insane how many people are "into" fragrances and are put off by floral notes. Yall are the reason why everything released is fruit and vanilla as it is. Ugh just go away. This is exactly what it claims to be. RICE MILK.

This is a really nice cent, but I’m getting ZERO RICE! I definitely detect some nuttiness, but overall- to me- this is just a nice every day warm-leaning perfume with nutty undertones.

So far - disappointed with this one. The notes were really promising but this fragrance really has something that turns my stomach. NOT one a want to be smelling all day.

Not anywhere near eau papier and I think it's not intending to be. It smells like the sort of creamy milk rice dessert with vanilla flavour you would eat as a child

It reminds me of horchata. It's light and airy but comforting and the sweetness is gentle not like a rich gourmand. It smells like starch. I really like this a lot.

This is Leau Pap without the freshly printed newspaper note. A few more wears and I think I'll love it.

I love this so much. I just wish it was stronger. Any similar perfumes like this please.
