Honeyed Tobacco & Oud

It opens with a blast of in-your-face spicy honey, yummmmm! Love this. In fact, it's the ONLY honey fragrance that actually smells realistic (on me, anyway). Both Kilian's Back to Black and Serge Lutens Chergui are over-the-top sweet and powdery on me, and Chanel Beige is way too syrupy floral, with no honey in sight. Which is a shame because I love honey. The honey is here the whole time, too, and only slightly less prominent after the opening. Other notes like tobacco, leather, and wood come up in the early drydown for a gorgeous autumny symphony that is making me very happy. I keep getting whiffs of coffee too. And it lasts forever. Like, still there the next morning even after getting ready for work forever. It's not overpowering, though, and is fine for the office. I bought a Habibi Oud sample set that arrived last weekend—it's Thursday and I haven't tried any of the others yet. That's how much I like this. So it's going on my (long) list of full-bottle scents. It reminds me of Tauer's L'Air du Desert Marocain, because of the spice, but it's got the sweetness of honey rather than desert smoke. How many spice fragrances do I really need? Well, that's one of my all-time favorites and I'm still planning to add Honeyed Tobacco Oud, if that gives you an idea. Maybe this one isn't *truly* necessary if you're less of a spice fanatic than I am, and I wouldn't recommend blind-buying it. Still, 10 out of 10 in all categories as far as I'm concerned.

Honeyed Tobacco and Oud is a misleadingly named fragrance that really amazed me. I imagined it warming and enveloping, but Instead it turns out fresh, slightly spicy and with a hint of sweetness at the end. It might apparently come across at an early phase as having "soapy" and clean nuances, but in fact it totally faithfully represents the smell one gets when wearing a suede jacket, that slightly pungent and fresh aroma. It has undertones that turn to the masculine, but I find it to have great personality, very appropriate for the spring and summer seasons. The honey notes are airy and very lifelike ( you can detect a honeycomb honey) , the tobacco gives that spicy and slightly crisp edge, and the suede notes round it all out. Somehow it took me back in time, with aromas that I connect back to my childhood, but I couldn't easily describe the exact situation. It really excited me because I always appreciate compositions that have the power to succeed in creating real olfactory journeys. Excellent performances, definitely try it.

Honestly, this fragrance is exactly as the name describes. It is a pleasing warm and winter fragrance. I find it to be inviting and could be a signature scent for fall and winter. I think it works better in social circumstances but it would be fine at work. Not really a come hither fragrance but not a bad cuddle fragrance. Not a strong projector but lasts six to eight hours on skin. Take the name at face value and I think you'll be plesed.

This was a great test. I sprayed Montale Honey Aoud on my left arm and Habibi Honey Tobacco Oud on my right. Yes, I know they are not the same. But I enjoyed it. Both fragrances were very enjoyable. The performance from Montale was impressive. However, in comparison, I really like the Habibi offering with tobacco. Not as loud, but comforting. I would wear either. Now I look forward to comparing Habibi to Guerlain's Tobacco Honey.

I never thought I could love a fragrance so much. The smells rich, expensive and is beautifully blended. 100% my new cold weather scent. A fragrance where the honey actually smells pure. The tobacco is prominent but soft and inviting, not harsh like others. The oud is soft and you find yourself wondering if you're smelling honey, sweet tobacco or oud. Couldn't recommend this one more.

This is LOVE at first sniff for me! Starts off absolutely BEAST! The citrus, sage and pink pepper SLAPS you in the face in the open. Oddly enough reminds me of a very clean and fresh soapy scent like fresh out of the shower or something. This is in my top 3 from Habibi maybe even #1 Most likely snagging a full bottle of this bad boy. Highly recommend at least sampling this one!

I think this is a really good blind buy. I've been loving the sample from my ScentXplore bag, It is a nice, honey, woody type of fragrance that isn't harsh or dark but light and fresh on the initial wear then calms down later. My wife loves it on me. I will be looking to pick this up down the line. Recommend for the Fall/Winter/cool/colder times.

This is a sweet take on the desert oud profile to make it simple. It is good overall and slightly different which makes it not redundant if you have one already

Look at this as a modernized classic (80s) masculine fragrance. Don't pigeon hole it to cold weather given the name. A perfect amount of geranium brings minty freshness that allows you to wear it in warm weather if you adjust the sprays to tame the honey sweetness. It should work in warm weather in the same way that a spicier fougère works. Tobacco here is very light - think the tobacco in JV Vintage - and I detect no oud whatsoever. The honey though... there's a lot of it. Not enough to be cloying but almost there. An interesting note of comparison: I used to wear YSL Jazz a lot back in the day. Bought Dua The Blues hoping for it to be a throwback - however the Dua was just too heavy on the geranium or used the wrong type of geranium raw material. My nose keys in to the geranium note and I completely lose all the nuances that Jazz had for me. They seem to be there, but they're lost on me. This one actually reminds me way more closely to what I remember of Jazz - with a good dollop of honey on top.

I really do like this scent. It's evil in a very well done way. Something about it reminds me of Drakkar Noir or Drakkar Intense, I'm not sure what or why. The tobacco is kind of like as if a Mafia boss tucked in a snubbed out cigar into his pocket and the scent mixed with a boutonnière of freshly picked sage. I don't get a ton of geranium but it smells enough to stand out for me. The honey does well with the cinnamon and tobacco to balance our the spiciness and boldness of the latter of the three. For me the tobacco doesn't necessarily stand out as much as it does in other tobacco scents like Fahrenheit but it provides a sort of comfortable, Venice-lounge-esque smell. It's very masculine and almost foreboding in a way, if you have the money give it a try. Definitely an acquired taste. Overall 7.5/10. Not very good projection IMO

This smells good, but not what I was expecting. As someone below mentioned "bar of soap". that's what I get from this as well. Starts off very soapy and gets a bit less soapy and a little more sweet as it dries down. Unisex to masculine leaning.

Honey! Front and center. It fades into a rather masculine leathery peppery amber. I got an oud discovery set. This is full bottle worthy for winter amd fall. I'm getting their Urban Oud first. Its more unisex.

Enjoyable, but the honey is a bit screechy for me, esp in the opening. Maybe in combination with the cinnamon note?

A luxurious, masculine leaning bar of soap

Seeing an ad for this fragrance is what made me get a 5-piece build-your-own sample set from Habibi NY. I like the scent of it. My biggest issue with it is that an hour after I put three sprays on myself (two chest, one neck), someone coming right up to me to try to smell it off my collar bone, and couldn't even notice it. Just after I sprayed it to test it out, I walked across the room and had someone try to smell it, and their two comments were "nice" and "subtle." So, for me this one is a bust. I would rate it higher even though it's not the heavy tobacco fragrance I thought it would be, but the absolute lack of longevity means I just can't support asking anyone to spend money on it. The White Moroccan Leather from this brand is excellent, and the same price as the Honeyed Tobacco and Oud. It doesn't last as long as it should, but it does last longer than the Honeyed one, and is a much more complex and rich fragrance, with a creamy characteristic to it. If you're going Habibi NY or their sample package, I would strongly guide you in that direction over Honeyed Tobacco and Oud, or perhaps their far superior Oud product called Desert Oud, which I've also reviewed with much higher marks.

Tried to test blind from the ScentXplore goodie bag but caught an eye of the name. Opened up a bit powdery floral but in came the Oud and it morphed into a slightly sweet woody floral. The honey is present, but it's the air of a honey breeze and not a deep sweet nor overly rich honey. From arms length I initially smell honey, a hint of wood, then oudiness. The suggestion of tobacco is exactly that. It adds to the warmth and some nuttiness, but there's nothing quintessential tobacco here from my experience. Looking at all the notes now, most can be found in the mix, but coffee, pink pepper, and tobacco feel most distant. It's a nice overall fragrance, more elegant than the name suggests, unisex but maybe a hint leaning feminine, or that's my experience with most fragrances with a honey lean to them. Longevity was good, projection initially good until the honey note dimmed. I liked it after this stage but it was too intimate to be worth considering for me.

In case you were wondering, this doesn't smell like Naxos or Herod. Off the top I get lots of sweet geranium with a sweet honeyed amber base. As it dries, some subtle tobacco notes start to come through with maybe a touch of synthetic oud. Performance and projection are about average. Perfectly unisex, and because it's so floral on the top, it might lean slightly feminine. There is nothing wrong with this scent but I have to admit, I am not a big fan of geranium. Especially sweet geranium, which I find to be a bit cloying. To me, there isn't anything that stands out about this fragrance to give it much personality. And if you are looking for a rich, heady tobacco fragrance, this isn't it. But if you are looking for a sweet floral fragrance with tobacco touches, then try a sample. Hope that helps guide your purchasing decisions.

I enjoy it with light application and with layering with other fragrances. If you like honey or tobacco fragrances, as I do in cool weather (mid-fall and in early spring in the American Midwest), you may personally like it in cool (neither cold, nor warm) weather, like I do, but I'd say don't expect it to fetch any compliments from others. Not that others will dislike it. It just doesn't get compliments. So wear it seasonally for mostly your own enjoyment.

Tobacco (Red Man chewing). Oud (medicinal). A little honey for sweetness (I'd like more). All blended on a stereotypically masculine base (astringent "amber" soap). I find myself reaching for one of my vanilla oils to smooth this out and give it that "something" I find missing while damping down those astringent, soapy notes. I think if you wear contemporary masculines well, you'd enjoy this one. For me, this requires some work for me to wear comfortably.

Blind bought this, thinking that with the note breakdown it was sure to be a hit... Turns out I'm disappointed. It's not a bad scent, but the opening was less sweet and more spicy than I was anticipating. The honey and tobacco start to come in, but they're not quite blended together as the name would lead you to believe. Tbh, it comes off on my skin smelling like Sauvage with a touch of honey. Which isn't bad, but really underwhelming.

This is a HUGE disappointment in virtually everyway I can think of. I sprayed 3 times on the inside of each elbow as well as on paper. I do not detect any tobacco, honey or oud. The opening-mid-dry down are all the same with almost no development or depth. It is Very synthetic smelling and the aroma chemicals used in this is more or less the same for the other ones I tried in the line. It seems to be a proprietary sort of, set of aroma chemicals this house uses to build their fragrances on (eg, Amouage, Nishane). That said if you don't like one fragrance from this house, your probably not going to like the others either. Please don't blind buy!
