Jasmine Oud

I received this fragrance in a discovery set. Thank goodness because I never would have purchased it otherwise. I am one who runs in the opposite direction whenever I see that there is an oud note. While I understand that it settles differently in different formulations, I really don't like the funky dirty note that I pick up from it. This is not the case with Jasmine Oud. We are in the depth of winter here in Pennsylvania as I write this. It is a cold 18 degrees outside of my home. Jasmine Oud is the type of fragrance that you want in this weather. Jasmine, geranium, and violet come together to create a beautiful floral scent, tonka bean is added to sweeten it up a bit, and finally, spices, leather, and oud provide an added level of warmth. This is beautiful. A perfect, feminine winter fragrance. Habibi NY has sold me on being open to trying fragrances with oud because this is perfect.

This is a beautiful floral, leathery scent from heaven. I'm a leather girl, and all of these fragrances from Habibi are heavy with a smooth, buttery suede note. If you don't like leather, you won't like this. I find it to be very well done. The oud is not heavy and very smooth. The Jasmine and rose are done nicely. This is a very nice fragrance which can be worn year around. Rose Amour will be my next full bottle. Ladies, order their discovery set and see for yourself. Habibi is a wonderful company. Their customer service is top notch. They stay in contact from the moment you order until it arrives. I feel that all of their feminine fragrances are wonderful. I don't think you can go wrong with these if you like these types of scents. Just try them, you won't be disappointed.

@fragrantica doesn’t add the ‘absolute’ at the heading but the bottle says that and the sample I received says that also. We smell no green notes on the first spray on showered skin (that definitely differs on my skin) and what’s dominant is oud and jasmine. No green anything. Purchasing the discovery set was a good idea. The Sahara Rose Absolute is divine (not at first spray) so is this. I’m still a bit disappointed with no green notes on me. Among these five here, I already have the Iris bloom (yes, it smells like La Vie Est Belle) and I think I’ll definitely buy the Sahara Rose. These perfumes are not the best at first spray but the middle and base notes are extremely beautiful and longlasting.

I love this fragrance.. but my purse doesnt love the price.. does anyone have any suggestions for a fragrance thats similar??

Beautiful! From my discovery set, I immediately gravitated towards this one from sniffing the caps. Jasmine bomb immediately, and it excited me because the style of jasmine used is like what is in Alien. Powerful, sweet, fruity, intoxicating. Jasmine Oud Absolute is totally different from Alien, however - I realized that after wearing it. It's a truly unique perfume, I haven't smelled something like this before. It's very powdery. Not like baby powder or makeup powder, but it is distinctly a powdery fragrance, I can feel the cool silk of mineral powder in my nose. I haven't smelled a jasmine powdery perfume like this before - usually powdery fragrances are rose, violet, or iris-centric, and if jasmine is used, it's a soft soapy, skin cream jasmine. This is a bold jasmine, with a strong powder. I smell osmanthus, too, bringing out even more fruitiness from the floral notes. Very different. It dries down gentler and becomes this elegant ladylike scent, more like the scent of skin creams and expensive lotions - but still not as generic because there are distinct woody touches. I cannot wait to smell the rest of the women's perfumes :) Generous 3 mL size, too!

I'm going to need to give this Jasmine Oud some time before deciding that it's just a "like". The notes are very well done-- in particular, the sweet powdery notes, rose petals, and tonka bean stop this fragrance from being a heavy-spice oud fragrance. This is not a bad thing for people who love oud perfumes but despise them being too heavy and spicy. On the dry-down, it has a sweet, spicy, warm smell that I feel smelled much better on my clothes than my skin. I like it, but not enough to buy a full flanker. Something in the drydown doesn't smell quite right to me. I'll shelve this for a while and come back to it as I've done with other fragrances that didn't initially blow me away. I have other oud fragrances that are much better, in my opinion. The only way I can describe them is they have more "body"/are rounded out a lot better than Habibi's oud.

This is a must for jasmine lovers. Beautifully blended. The oud is not overpowering in this. Just a lovely floral and slightly sweet.

A floral, leathery scent. Somehow comes across as delicate with the powdery notes. Very pretty but not a full size for me.

A sweet, dry, leather fragrance. I can see it being compared to expensive soap; I feel like this is what a luxury car with leather interior would smell like 😂 It’s soft enough to where it’s pleasant, but not full bottle worthy to me, personally. 5/10

I'm so glad that I purchased the sample set first because I would have had utter regret had I blind bought it. Unfortunately, this smells like a cheap perfume on me and it is not well-blended at all. This is not blind-buy safe by no means!

Ugh, it’s just sooooo good. Definitely a powdery leather dominated scent but the florals do pull through and it comes together so well. Think old Hollywood glamour with a Middle Eastern edge. I also really appreciate the beauty of the bottle itself, gorgeous to have on display

Smells like an expensive soap. It was ok, but not enough of a like to wear.
