Sahara Rose Absolute

While reminiscent of other rose/oud perfumes....I found this one to be quite beautiful, evolutionary and long lasting. It was a super strong hit of oud at the open. The rose quickly came to the dance and then it was joined by a sprinkle of pepper and a delightfully surprising incense note. The dry down a comforting musky/amber with the slightest memory of rose. In comparison to others it is well worth the purchase for the price. And I have an affinity for the brand founders, Shakir and Tabassum...they are a darling couple! Feels like the perfect night out fragrance on a warm summer night when you want the room to feel your presence. Put on a slinky red silk slip dress, a nice pair of stilletto's and take a slow walk arm in arm with your man.

“A flower in the desert is not an accident, it is an opportunity.” Sahara Rose is a wonderful combination of rose with oud, very well balanced (which is quite rare to find), with this fresh, newly blooming flower with its inebriating scent, which stands out over oriental and spicy undertones. Very sophisticated, it doesn't come across as suffocating like so many others scents for me, but really fresh and extremely sensual, but with a simple and clean sensuality that is undraped by the opulent nuances that sometimes overshadow the Queen of Flowers. I have been waiting for this to hit the database. Absolutely LOVE this fragrance. It came with the Men's sample set. Some say it leans feminine. Just because it has rose, doesn't mean it is feminine. A real gem. Wish it projected several feet. That is the confidence I have wearing this. I want everyone around me to know it. My favorite from the house.

What a pretty fragrance. This is pretty and not femenine at all keep that in perspective. Opens up with a cheese Oud 🪵 but only last a few minutes then turn into a saffron y rose combo. This is really good I am surprised 😳 I might get a full bottle soon.

Have a light hand applying. Love it, but really strong on my skin-not in a bad way, I’m a rose junkie. Wore it to an opera and enjoyed the cloud of it around me. I think people sitting around me also enjoyed it lol

Simply gorgeous, masculine, formal, head turning

You might be surprised by the sheer intensity of this fragrance. This isn't just any rose oud; it's a bold composition where a dominant animalic oud is powerfully amplified by a robust, warm, and spicy accord. What immediately captures your attention are the spices, particularly a warm cinnamon and a strong cardamom, which seamlessly layer over the rose and oud. You'll also notice subtle hints of dried fruits and a distant note of incense, adding further complexity. The rose itself is beautifully complemented by a warm leather note, firmly placing this fragrance in the unisex category. However, men considering this should be comfortable with a prominent rose and potent spices. If you're a fan of oriental rose and oud profiles but are looking for a unique twist, the pronounced spicy nature of this fragrance could add an intriguing new facet to your collection. Just be aware: this scent is loud and features a strong oud accord. Its warm spiciness means it's less practical for everyday wear. This fragrance truly shines on a cold night out, perhaps for a romantic date or a weekend dinner featuring rich foods and wine. It's definitely not suited for an office environment or confined spaces like carpools or airplanes.

Typical Rose - Oud composition with a mixed Arab and French style: strong (and a bit harsh) woody-amber materials, cypriol, patchouli and more delicate touches of blackcurrant (cassis base and such), musks and fruity aspects typical of more French-oriented perfumery. Starts off with a strong rose accord (a bit harsh again to my tastes) but it is soon joined by the green and fruity nuances of blackcurrant, raspberry materials and some sweet dried fruits. The heart reveals a well known oud accord, leading more animalic, castoreum-like and cheesy than balsamic and woody, well balanced nonetheless and never going into full barnyard territory. Deep in the drydown we are left with amber materials (I detect mostly ambroxan), moss and some remaining fruity raspberry sweetness. On summary we can say there's nothing truly new nor outstanding about this composition though the price asked (135 usd for 75ml) makes this perfume an excellent option if you are looking for a Rose - Oud style fragrance. 8,5/10

This can (potentially) be a challenging fragrance. But it smoothed out after 20 min of wearing on skin. The beginning was a little bit of leather smell that had an almost slight citrus accord. But then alas! The rose finally come out and it was really good. All skin chemistry is a little different so I get the challenging matter (a little bit) of what someone else said. But it smoothed out to something so good I may buy a bottle, not sure yet. It's very fresh. Nothing dark and this at all and in fact I would say this is better in warm weather. It's worth a sample and please do yourself a favor and try on skin. It's not the same in a test strip. I'm testing Habibi NY vs Argos vs Electimuss London on who will get my business and I will likely get a bottle from this brand. Not bad. If you like the profile, you will rank this higher. Sahara Rose Overall 7/10.
