Urban Oud

Great fragrance, at the beginning I smell resemblance of initios oud for greatness but then I began to take a sweet turn and smells more like thameen carved oud. The smell is on par to the quality with Initio and Thameen. I am most likely going to buy this and wear it along with desert oud. Great fragrance there is nothing off putting about this whatsoever. This is classy perfect for warmer weather in my opinion as it's not cloying in any way. To me it smells fresh and it smells wonderful. Get yourself a sample they're pretty cheap and you won't regret it. Perfect for men. Projection however is very disappointing. It's less than 6 inches of projection and I need something over 100 dollars to project better. Edit: This is the third best in the oud line for me. The first two winners for me is Desert Oud (by far the best), then Royal Saffron, and then this. This is good. I'm trying to work on some skin lotion that can cause this to project more because I think my skin drinks it up a little bit.

Urban Oud connects two perceptions: that of smell and that of memory. The idea behind this fragrance is that of a walking in a big city, with the urban, smoky, irony smells enveloping us , but with the melancholic memory of the aromas of a journey to the East in the mind, with the spices, the sueded, enveloping and warm scents. It turns out dark, enveloping and with pungent touches at the same time, wonderfully structured, so much so that I rate it as one of the most pleasant oriental fragrances I have ever smelled. Wear it on summer evenings, with the warmth of the skin it will be at its best. Excellent sillage and lasting. The wonderful statue of the traveler in Oviedo, Spain.

Warm spicy cardamom with soft woodiness. It's lightly sweet, ever so lightly just to balance the cardamom's woody spiciness. Smells like cardamom-flavored kulfi. Spicy, warm, cardamom-heavy, lightly woody, & slightly sweet. The cardamom is intensive but gorgeous here. It's masculine & intimate. Cuddly & cozy fragrance. This would smell gorgeous on a cold, rainy day. As for the oud, it's not there. I bought the Oud Sample Set form Habibi NY, & none of them as properly oudy. None. By memory, it reminds me of Tom Ford's Noir collection. Nonetheless, I want Urban Oud over those. Shame they only ship to US/CAD. Masculine, cold weather wear. "Love"

Interesting fragrance, got a sample in a trade recently. It has beautiful aromatic top notes, smells very fresh with a strong cardamom opening. the scent is very similar to Lalique White in Black which is kind of like Layton but with cardamom instead of Apple in the opening. I like it, but I, already have WiB. I'm surprised no one else has made that comparison. Smells nothing like Carved Oud to me, it's definitely closer to African Leather, but much more tame and a lot less spicy in the opening, also no leather note detected in this. Really pleasant, but I feel like it may be redundant with many other frags of similar style in my collection.

This honestly smells really nice, but reminds me of frags like Bvlgari Man in Black, stuff like that, a woody, powdery spicy kind of vibe, also a bit like Spicebomb, but if you did it up really pretty and nice. Definitely getting the suede, tiny bit of what I think is oud, saffron, patchouli, and something there that just makes it spicy. Longevity is moderate, not really long enough lasting for my liking, with a nice sillage bubble. Nothing too crazy, I feel like in a lot of ways, I've smelled stuff like this many, many times. I do really like it though.

I have two discovery sets from HABIBI - Men's & Oud. I won't go into full detailed reviews until I wear them fully, but right off the bat this smells like Thameen's Carved Oud meets Memo's African Leather. Yes, it's as good as it sounds and I can't stop smelling it.

Long list of notes. For me, I get the cardamom in the opening. Some slight powdery rose in the middle and an enveloping woodsy scent at the drydown. Great scent. Wish I could pull out some of the other fantastic items. Either way, great for spring and fall.

Urban Oud is in my top favorites from this House. It is smooth, subtle, unisex and transitional. Full of spices. I can clearly smell suede. Not cold black leather but warm brown supple suede.

Yeah, I’m really digging this fragrance. It’s complex but well-balanced scent! I mainly detect cardamom, suede-leather, woody oud, and a touch of castoreum. However, nothing truly pops out. Performance is good but not beast mode, which I really appreciate.

Very interesting scent. A lot going on at first, but then it dries down to a suede, carrot and cedar scent. Haven't smelled anything like this, I'm not blown away but still liking it, Very Niche no doubt.

Very woodsy and spicy! For many of Habibi fragrances I can pick up on the rose notes, barely here. The spice notes dominate the opening through the dry down. I much prefer Desert Oud compared to this fragrance. This is a warm scent but not all that inviting. Aptly named "Urban Oud" as this busy fragrance seems more compatible with a fast passed environment and less a warm inviting fragrance, like Desert Oud.

This fragrance opens with a prominent rose note with a red wine accord which is an interesting combination. After the initial opening, more of the fresh fruits and citrus come forward, and the rose starts to take a back seat. In the mid, this is more of an ambery, floral fragrance with a lot going on. It's well blended and there isn't a single note that harshly stands out amongst the rest. If you go looking for individual notes, you can pick them out but in the air the fragrance will lean more floral and fruity, with a bit of woods than anything else. This comes across as a unisex fragrance that leans a touch more masculine as it dries down. From a synesthetic standpoint, this just smells red to me likely from the fruits, rose, and red wine note. As this starts to dry down, it becomes a bit spicier and there has been a comparison to African Leather by Memo Paris. While both fragrances have patchouli which becomes more prominent as the fragrance heads into the dry down, I don't think this smells like African Leather. This could make for a wonderful show-stopper fragrance if you want a fragrance that is certainly going to stop people and turn heads. Nobody would ever find this offensive or say it smells bad, but it won't be everyone's favorite. If I am being honest, this wasn't what I expected with a name like, "Urban Oud." I was expecting a blue or fresh take on the note of oud. Something geared for mass appeal and men. But it's anything but that. I would say this would lean more towards nighttime use in the cooler weather. Personally, I would wear this for a semi-formal night out or maybe a date with my wife.

Always go in to an oud fragrance with a bit of hesitation - it is a distinctively strong scent and one that I think is an acquired taste....like avocado's. :) Urban Oud was a like at first spray with a warm spicy pop and a touch of rose. The dry down softened into a leathery lightly boozy ride without losing its spice. It very much feels like a bright crisp easy after dinner evening walk along one of the many NYC avenues. Strolling along with your partner taking all that sits in the storefront windows - from dresses to collectibles and diners lucky enough to get a window table. It is a beautiful blend Urban America and the best parts of eastern cultural beauty. The sillage and longevity is solid and for the price well worth a FB buy.

I love the other for habibi fragrances I've tried from the oud sampler but this one doesn't work for me. I get alot of bathroom/urinal cake vibes ontop which prevent me from enjoying the nice oud base. It leans very masculine and musky and lista ages with a couple of sprays.
