Halloween Man Mystery

An underrated fragrance for sure. I have a feeling if this was made by a more beloved house, people would be calling it a masterpiece. It is incredibly non-linear and unique, which is what a lot of people want in a fragrance (yet some of them probably complain that this is a mess). Subtle fruity opening, mixed with hazelnut shortly after, then a long lasting patchouli/vetiver dry down with some hints of that fruit throughout. The dry down will be more of a Hawas Ice type, but not as sharp, and a bit darker and denser. Longevity is really good, 10+ hours. Sillage is moderate to good, but I don't think I'd want that dry down smacking me in the nose the entire day either. You'll get hints of it the whole day for sure, and possibly into the next day. This is a fun fragrance, and one to open your mind to. That hazelnut is addicting af while it briefly lasts. You'll get a bit of that Halloween DNA in there, but if you're looking for Halloween Man X, this is not the Halloween you are looking for. Probably closer to Hero or the OG, but still an entirely different experience. And no Y EDP similarities for me.

Richer and more earthy than expected while still being relatively fresh and not overly fruity. The opening is quite fresh, and the hazelnut fits in well in the mid background. The patchouli-vetiver-lavender dry down is also pleasant. Moderate-good longevity, moderate sillage. Fairly versatile - fresh enough for warm (but not hot) weather while the hazelnut and drydown gives it a certain warmth for cooler weather too. Pleasant and inoffensive. Good value and recommended. Suggested deodorant match : Lynx Cocoa Velvet

For those of us who have been collecting perfumes for years, we know that it is very similar to Black XS L'Exes a perfume that has already been discontinued. I really like this perfume, it smells like pineapple to me

I've just bought it. It's really good. It seems like a mix between mid 2000 party boy perfumes and the hype thing like Sauvege and Y. I really love it.

It's a solid modern take on an aromatic fougere that adds in fruit and wood ntes and a very strong and refreshing lavender. It's similar to fellow flanker Halloween Man X, with the major different being that X adds a dark roasted coffee note on the drydown. Mystery really lets its lavender shine on the drydown, resulting in a refreshing and uplifting fragrance. Overall it's a very good blend of fruit, lavender, herbal, woody and patchouli musk aromas. This is versatile enough to be used in both serious and social occasions. It's great for warmer weather, has a cool black bottle presentation, and comes at a great price for a designer fragrance. The fruit forward opening might lean too feminine for some male users, though there are plenty of fragrances that are a lot fruitier and are perfectly acceptable for men to use. Up to your individual taste. Do note that performance is average, so be prepared to overspray and respray throughout the day. Recommended.

It's like if you seasoned a fresh bowl of fruits. No specific fruit really stands out, kind of peach and orange mix and general fruityness. And it has those pleasant perfume scents like lavender and patchouli. Smells good, Y and Sauvage vibes, but not really the same category. Halloween man is a very funny name though and they should really embrace the silly name with some goofball branding. I don't know why they put this thing in a black bottle and called it mystery, you can't make a fresh masculine fragrance while also calling yourself halloween. This is for goobers like me and they have a bunch of ugly ass bottles for their other products, but this one is the cool bike guy fragrance???

I like it, but mostly the dry down. The opening is really not something special and while the mids are more interesting and quite nice, this thing really shines in the dry down. so if you try it out, I suggest waiting for the dry down to get a proper feel for it. Not 100% sure what it reminds me of though. Maybe a bit of YSL Y Le parfum/edp mixed with something else that's quite fruity. I like it, but at least right now, it's not a love. And it does remind me of something else. Performance seems OK. I need to wear it more though, but it feels like it's a bit above average but not strong/beast mode.

-Not a common smell whatsoever. -Initial take from the opening is a bunch of fruity sweet fresh notes. Tropical fruits. -Then a random hazelnut dry down happens withing 10-15 seconds instantly after that. it was a weird experience at first, but man this has to be the best of the line so far. And its got good longevity but doesn't project as heavy. very masculine, sophisticated, professional smell. solid 8/10

over spraying is the actual death of this fragrance, 2 on the neck and you’re flawless I promise promise, like I really promise because I wish I had a girlfriend to wear it buuut that’s just how it is mane. Clarity if you haven’t read anything abt this fragrance is that it truly is unisex, it’s so straightforwardly appealing and lavender that no one is gonna fret over you wearing it one way or another

Perfume algo fresco, bastante versátil y con prestaciones decentes, al momento de rociarlo llega un golpe muy punzante de lavanda que recuerda un poco a un limpiador de pisos (pero de más calidad) es un olor simple, si, pero no es tan malo como algunos dicen, por su precio y prestaciones creo que está bien, solo que es mejor olerlo antes de comprarlo

Algo bueno fresco bien hecho en mi piel paso las 8 horas su proyección no es su fuerte pero disfrute llevarlo puesto mantuvo mi olfato agradado durante la jornada.

It has a pleasant scent, but it is weak. The opening is quite impressive, but it fades to a skin scent after about two hours at normal room temperature.

Imagine a gummy worm dropped in dirt that's what this smells like, I like this scent alot definitely a safe blind buy 😎

When I bought it, I fell in love with the perfume despite some bad reviews I'd read. I found it very easy to wear, with a pleasant scent and fairly decent projection and longevity; I had no complaints. After a while, it started to smell a bit strange, like garbage or something rotten (despite that, I still received compliments). I don't like it as much as I used to, and I gave it away, but I still have fond memories of it and encourage anyone interested to try it.

I'm sorry if I offend anyone on these reviews, but you guys need to get your nose checked. This smells nothing like Y EDP, this smells like a peppery, poorly blended mess. This is probably the worst Halloween Man of the line, it reminds me of Moschino ToyBoy but without all of the interesting parts, the performance and the longevity. Do not buy this at all.

Smells like Lattafa Qaed Al Fursan (Black XS) but replace the pineapple with bananas.

No real mystery on my skin; this wears like a straightforward modern fougère: aromatic freshness up top, a clean barbershop-style backbone, and a smooth, easy drydown. What’s wrong with some of you? Especially folks on YT claiming this being on of the best cheapest fragrances in 2023. Sorry to say but: Fruity cloying designer trash to me.

I just tried this and its just sour but... I can't describe it, its just weird, maybe someone likes that smell i doubt that.

@allamin, it’s pronounced “depth”... Honestly if you read the reviews and you see people’s only complaint is mainly about it being “boring” or “lacking complexity” than you know you have something easy to use and generally people pleasing on your hands Anyways - to me this doesn’t smell like a 1:1 of anything out there, but it does pull the general “idea” from a lot of popular releases over the last few years or so. Yes, there’s fruit (not Urba Pura, but fruity nonetheless) - and they hit the nail on the head with the “Fruity Notes” note because it doesn’t really come off as any ONE. Patchouli is there but not earthy or hard to wear. I don’t get any hazelnut and I’m kind of glad because I don’t think it would play well with everything else that this has going on. One of those “Swiss-army” fragrances that has a lot of potential uses. I would avoid summer and formal events with this one, but everything else should be fair game.

The mystery is how this smells like basically nothing. I even let this one macerate like the cool kids, two months later and still basically smells the same. Maybe the best way to describe is you can tell it's there, but the notes melt together into a single note which at the end of the day doesn't really come across as anything. I don't get it or why they do the "Y" marketing since it smells nothing like YSL Y.

Insane, went to a store sprayed many fragrances on test strips and then left, placed the tester strips in my hoodie pockets, the whole day smelled a strong better sauvage and then eaven when i put a jacket on it came trougth there, smells soooo good, sauvage is trash compared to this. Projection is insane dont know about longetivity yet. Just a better sweeter a little more complicated sauvage.

Very fruity, the longetivity is acceptable and it is cheap and better than dior sauvage and it has a smell. Sauvage has no smell and people buy an expensive water when they buy dior sauvage. I see some users complain about this fragrance but it actually smells good in my opinion. Go test it out if you are thinking of buying it and don't look at this fragrance's comment section a lot.

Halloween Man Shot is an all-time favorite & Halloween Man X is damn good as well. So why would Del Pozo go in this direction with a fruity scent when they specialize in cold weather fragrances? I want to try it, but I'm a little perplexed.

It smells the exact same as Invictus Platinum for a fraction of the prize. Good, but as good as Paco Rabbane's

Excited! I am yet to try a Halloween that I dislike. This is budget friendly brand that I always recommend.
