Halloween Sun

I just wanted to try something different so I bought Halloween Sun. I must say that this EDT has some really good lasting power to it. When I first tried it I got a burst of everything right away, not really a citrus. I think lime doesn't really have a really citrus smell to it like lemon but it does, you know.. fresh lime, it kinda has a slight creamy like smell to it.. but anyway with this fragrance I smell a lime, creamy, floral freshness. the tuberose I love in this it's not too loud, just right..but the way I would really explain to you how this smells to me is like a creamy lime and banana floral fragrance not citrus, not powdery, not warm but creamy lime banana floral.. This would be good to wear for everyday day or night and anytime of the year.. but get a sample before you decide to buy a bottle, just saying. I think it does smell seductive, and like one of those fragrances that if you had it on and was standing in one spot for a little while..someone just might walk by that spot where you was standing and say wow someone smells really nice. Its not too strong or too light either. Its almost to me like musk, it goes really well with your skin smell, you really don't have to apply it again. You might not be able to smell it on yourself but other people will. :D

Smells similar to the original Halloween, only milder, juicier and less flowery. Pretty much the same delicate, airy violet but with the addition of aquatic elements. Lime is screechy sharp though, not a fan of the opening. Banana fruit and banana leaves are dewy fresh; they definitely participate to that overall semi-aquatic feeling. However, I would prefer a louder banana, with just a dash of lime to perk it up. Despite my high dislike for marine notes and that synthetic opening, I enjoyed the dry down so much I used Halloween Sun non-stop for 2 weeks flat! That must be because the ensemble smells tropical but in a restrained way, not in your face. Coupled with violet, that’s just so interesting. Admirer of that bottle’s sunny color and sober design.

Halloween Sun has the same airy violets as the original. It's not really worth owning both if you don't love the original. I happen to think the original is one the best /most interesting mainstream fragrances of it's era so I was happy to snag a 100 ml of Halloween Sun. In addition to the listed lime, this fragrance contains orange & apple peel. Both of which are present, and compliment the lime. Still, this Halloween is predominantly floral (violets, magnolia) with a creamy/musky woody base. I feel like I get sea notes as well, and I'm not sure if I can just chalk it up to the ozonic violet leaf/flower because there's a slight saltiness. Even more pronounced than in original Halloween, which actually lists them. Perfect summer fragrance.

Reminiscent of OG Halloween with the violet note, but rather less pronounced. Does have a much more "sunshiney" happy light-hearted vibe about it (actually it does bring Clinique "Happy" to mind somewhat, though I'm aware the fruit notes differ). I don't smell of bananas and I can't work out whether that's a good thing or a bad thing? It was a blind buy because I love Halloween and BANANAS, after all, lol! All in all, light, sunny, delicately floral and likable; I wish there was a bit more sillage and a "twist" of some sort (a bit more of a woody note? or a spice?). I like it but amn't sure how often I'll reach for it outside the very hottest summer weather tbh.

Lime, sandalwood and magnolia. I've been using the original Halloween since it's very first incantation. I was born on Halloween so was given two bottles of it in different sizes, by two different people, when it was launched. It became my signature for more than a decade, and I have just about every flanker and limited edition. This smells NOTHING like the original, to my nose. It is, as someone commented, like sunshine in a bottle. It's very summery whereas the original is more pumpkin like. This is definitely more zesty and light. A happy scent to wear whenever, very feminine, decent longevity and cheap as chips.

I shrieked when I came by the set in my fav perfume shop. I already own the original and freesia hwn so I figured I'd like this one. And I do!! Very similar to the original unlike the freesia. The opening is very citrusy I thought I smelled orange but just read it's lime. Slight difference but I love it!!!!

I agree with lilith,,,it opens very citrusy and leaves you with a flowery smell that stays with you for a while. Perfect for casual ware or to use in a vacation or a day at the beach.

There HAS to be freesia in this. It's sort of screechy like the OG, and I find it unwearable. I love banana but found none here.

This one smelled a little citrusy on me, very light and nice, and it lasts well . I agree that it is a good every day, all occasion scent.

well here i am reviewing another fun halloween scent :) first off love the fun orange "sun" juice inside the bottle - oh so colorful , cheery & bright :) the scent actually fits its name (for a change lol ) - it has a "sun" kind of scent & feel to it :) it would be perfect for a nice hot day at the beach or a nice afternoon lunch in the park :) its very easy to wear.......very light.......total skin scent or at least on me it is........and i saw a lot of references to it being like the original halloween (which i love love ) but hmmmm im on the fence with that thought lol - ok maybe it could be a watered down version of the original but i actually find it to be its own individual vibe :) i think the banana is such a unique touch & i can actually smell the sweetness it adds - who knew - my least favorite fruit but i like it in the perfume lol and of coarse i love all the other ingredients.........i wish the violet was more prominent but if it was then maybe it would take away from the banana lol so if u love the halloween line this is worth adding or if u are looking for a nice light sunny vibe scent then check this out - its so easy going u cant go wrong :)

Trick or treat!! This scent is full of fun twist and turns. The top note of lime and banana is enough to raise an eyebrow, with its sharp gourmand opening.15 minutes later and magically it becomes a full floral with a sweet violet and sensual tuberose blend, all sitting warmly in a syrupy vanilla base. The bottle, like all the others in the 'Halloween' range is dome-like. This one is filled with a sunny orange liquid. My visual and olfactory senses are tricked into believing that this is as comforting as homemade pumpkin pie.

It's a brighter, more summery version of the original Halloween. Same violet, but less powdery, more citrus, more sparkly somehow. Not that much different, I like both, I would use both. Not much more to say about it.. Thumbs up.
