Hard Candy

I finally bit the bullet and bought a bottle of Hard Candy "blind" from a perfume website, based on what I'd read about it. Well, there's no doubting this perfume is sweet! When I first sprayed it on I was overwhelmed by its sugariness and I felt as if I'd been doused in liquid brown sugar. My initial reaction was that I might hate the perfume and have to return it but I decided to ride out the initial mega-sugary wave and see what happened. After half an hour or so it started to smell so much better and I was glad I'd resisted my initial urge to wash it off. I started to smell some of the fruitiness sneaking up, which offset all that sugariness, and definitely the rhubarb gives it a slight kick to freshen it up. Ultimately it ended up smelling lovely - still sweet but it had morphed from super pure sugariness to a warm, creamy sweetness, like melted fudge or warm caramel. Really quite sexy and yummy!! Also, it was still going strong well over 12 hours after I'd sprayed it on. The packaging Hard Candy comes in is very nice - a metallic silver box with pretty flowers all over it, an unusual front flap opening and, as other reviewers have mentioned, a list on the back of the different notes, which is pretty unique. I've never seen that before on any perfume box and I wish more perfume companies would do that! The bottle is actually quite nice too, and the cap looks like a brightly colored, crystalline UFO! So, now I really love my Hard Candy and am so glad I kept my bottle! Hooray. :-)) UPDATE: Thanks to one of my Fragrantica pals, I got to sample Pink Sugar for the first time and I can say that they are both very similar. On my skin though the difference between the two is that Hard Candy smells more like yummy. creamy warm caramel with a touch of rhubarb / passionfruit fruitiness, whereas Pink Sugar is more flat, powdery, dry sweet (almost like icing sugar!) with zero fruitiness. Hard Candy also lasts longer on my skin, has good sillage, plus it's cheaper than Pink Sugar (oh, and the bottle and packaging are far nicer too!). So, for me Hard Candy definitely wins out over Pink Sugar!

I have reviewed this before , but ive been wearing so much of this recently that Ive realised how lost id be without it :) ( I know its "Only " a perfume , but Id imagine others on here will recognise the feeling of "dread" if they were not be able to get hold of an old favorite any more ) I read online that this is now discontinued , so If your a fan this is a heads up. Still lots online , at very low price. Worth every penny. A lot of my expensive perfumes dont last as long or get me the compliments this one does. This is still in my winter top 5 , Ive not got tired of it at all after 2 years of wear....In fact Ive been itching to break it out since late Sep , waiting for the weather to become cool enough , since thi8s is a frag I can only wear in the coldest months. ( I think it would be pretty unbearable in warm weather - Yuk - Sticky sweet meltdown - Not what you want in the summer!) I have yet to find any other perfume that fuses the uber sweet with the sour ( Rhubarb) , I love sourness in perfume when its done right. Hard Candy does get it right , that sour kick and the white tea just gives it a contrast and lift to stop it been over sickly. I just adore this stuff....Going to start stockpiling/hoarding now as I would not want to do a cold winter without it. . . Its freezing here ATM, and been wrapped in a scent cocoon of this frag really cheers me up. It doesnt smell like any other of the "sweetie" scents out there , very unique. I always test new release perfumes and every other "sweet" perfume out there seems weak , bland and generic in comparison. ( Note - I have yet to test "Pink Sugar" , which is marked as similar) I also like H.C's cute make up line , its a shame they never made any more perfumes , id of liked to have seen what they came up with for a summer scent , or a flanker! ....But its not going to happen ....Shame. Great stuff for bargain price :)

This is such a fun scent, it's a shame I can't find a bottle of this former cheapie anywhere at a reasonable price. Hard Candy mainly smells like super sweet, slightly creamy vanilla, caramel and sugar. The fruit notes of rhubarb and passion fruit are perfect for this, they are juicy and a little tart, so they balance the gourmand notes. I love rhubarb, and while it's not extremely realistic in this, it's clearly recognizable and can't be confused with any other fruit. In the drydown the scent turns even more vanillic, and I can also smell some clean musk and jasmine, so it still smells like real perfume despite all the sweet and edible notes. The base reminds me a bit of Lempicka's Lolitaland, maybe it was the inspiration for that one. This is a very girly scent. If it had a color, it would be hot pink or a bright coral. To wear this, you can't take yourself too seriously. It's ideal for holidays, birthday parties and funfairs, or for rainy days at home where you need something uplifting. Bonus: It lasts all day. If you want to take the name literally, it doesn't quite match, this smells more like a sugary cocktail than a piece of hard candy. But it would fit right in with a manicure with a Hard Candy nail polish and matching plastic ring from the late 90s/early 2000s. Too bad that those are long, too.

Me likes it! Hard Candy is such a great perfume! I was looking to my small perfume collection and I found out that everything was to serious and sometimes I just felt I needed something blatantly sweet. First I thought about Fantasy, then Pink Sugar but the ruhbarb note in Hard Candy was fascinating to me. When I was living in the UK I used to buy every week a ruhbarb pie at the supermarket, everybody in my house hated it so the pie was just for me. Probably you dont know but there are no rhubarbs in Portugal, so that pie was something veeery excentric for me. Well, I'm a ruhbarb fan. Hard Candy's top notes are delicious! Yum! I love (yeah) the ruhbarb, mixed with the pepper and the tea note, in the top notes I already can smell the passiofruit and the candy, but its a very good combination that works really well. Unlike most people here, the drydown is what I like less because its too Pink Sugar for me, BUT until we get there we have a explendid time with this fresh, vibrant, happy and sexy fragrance. I'm loving it, my boyfriend is going to rauuu for it and gosh for this price we should all have one! A pink kitty cat with her paws up! This is that kind of fragrance that can putt you in a good mood! Sillage: Gracefull Longevity: All day 8/10

WOW!! I LOVE this stuff !! I bought it blind as i saw it for a very good price - £10 /100ml , i like the packaging too , it looked interesting but i did check the reviews here first :). So glad i did , this is a GOOD sweet scent . its individual enough to stand out , i don't know anyone else who wears it here in the UK ! I have had compliments off lots of people . A man asked me what i was wearing and he misheard me and thought i had said "Prada Candy". I put him right as i think Prada candy is rubbish TBH. Id much rather have some more Hard Candy and i for one will be stocking up on some more bottles before it disappears off the shelves. Very sparkling bright opening with the pepper/rhubarb combo . It settles into explosion in a sweet shop /caramel scent . Nice and strong with good sillage and it LASTS. That's a strong point for me as im sick of modern perfumes that are gone after 5 mins ( like Pradas crappy effort) 10/10 from me for Hard Candy. PS - Nice bottle , looks n smells much more expensive than it is PPS - I agree with Takheat below , I too have not experienced Rhubarb in a scent before HC. I have now looked up other Rhubarb scents to try :)

I love Hard Candy! All the way around start to finish is great - that is if you like sweet perfumes, if not stay away from this confection. The opening is very candy like for real , tangy, sweet but fresh - the rhubarb which I really have 'nt seen in many perfumes is amazing , I have to say the opening notes made me go "YES!!" right away. Later this turns into a warm soft vanilla & buttery caramelized sugar smell - with hints of the candy smell lingering.Never sickening or cheap smelling for me, Hard Candy is very well balanced in my opinion. For me I just wish it would last a ittle longer on my skin but I do believe as it gets into the cooler months it won't seem to dissipate so soon on me. I found this at Marshalls for $12.99 & I'm thrilled to have picked this one up. This is definately a young & girly fragrance. Good stuff! - the name says it all and delivers.

People who wrinkle their noses when I wear my chypre fragrances and my designer/niche ones always, always ask what sweet wonder I'm wearing when this is my fragrance of the day (or night). What is it with gourmands? Deep down, do we all love cookies, pastries and candy? If the compliments I receive are any indication the answer is a resounding "Yes!". Hard candy is vanilla caramel, rosewater Turkish Delight and cotton candy, with rhubarb adding a splash of something tart and juicy that dispels any notion that this is a mere childish sweet. This is candy for grown-ups who flash back to childhood when they walk into a candy shop and smile and even giggle a little when they walk out with a little paper sack full of goodies. Amazing longevity and powerful sillage - a little goes a long way. Go on, treat yourself!

Blind buy, bought based on the reviews, I was VERY scared it was going to turn nauseatingly sweet on me....but I just adore this perfume. It smells of rhubarb, vanilla and (nearly salted) toffee . And it smells all day. I have a 100ml bottle that I purchased in TKMaxx for 18 EUR so I don't have to use it that sparingly, I probably walk around smelling like rhubarb pie as a result, haha, but since it's cold and rainy and windy where I live right now, I simply don't care! Let them eat PIE! I spritz behind my knees, once at the nape of my neck and on each of my wrists. That's plenty to keep me happy and smelling the frag until the very evening. Projection: Strong and Excellent 5/5 Longevity: 10h+, 5/5 Price: affordable, 5/5 Winner!

Carmel and vanilla is all I smell when I wear this, and I absolutely adore it. I cant get enough of Hard Candy. Bought it recently, but I have a feeling the bottle isn't going to last very long because I cant stop spraying it all over myself. It also never fails to land me some compliments, either. People often say I smell like: sugar, sweets, cotton candy, cookies or bubblegum. This is gourmand to the extreme. If sweet scents is something you like, this is a must have. I thoroughly enjoy it. It lasts long & it mixes very well with my body chemistry. The only downside to this, is that whenever I wear it I start to get hungry from smelling candy the whole day.

Yum! I love this. Sparkly and juicy on the top, I actually get a lot of the tea and the rhubarb and it's such a delcious combination (yes, really! :p). The passionfruit then joins the show and it becomes even juicier. Caramel and Vanilla takes center stage at the end and there it becomes warmer. This fragrance is lovely, when I tried it on my sister mentioned that it smelled just like Pink Sugar but I don't smell this outwright although I can see where the similarities lie with the vanilla and caramel. This is a lot juicier then Pink Sugar though, especially when you first spray. Lasting power on me is around a good 6/ 7 hours with medium sillage.

I was pretty cautious trying this as I expected to be walloped with a load of sugar. Yes, there is lots of sugar on the opening but once the alcohol has gone it calms down to basically a licorice fragrance. I can only imagine it has something to do with the rhubarb/caramel combo and my chemistry. The sour must be off setting the sweetness to some degree. Admittedly this is a pretty basic fragrance but if you have a hankering for something sweet then just put this on and it will pass lol Good longevity and the sillage is good as well. This is a fragrance for leisure wear. Cheerful and yes comforting

This scent is grand. It is sweet but it isn't overly sweet like some have said. When I first sprayed it smelled like a lemon drop and i was a bit worried that I was going to walk around smelling like Candy Land. However, the dry down is great, it is still sweet but the caramel adds a nice buttery smell. The staying power is great but doesn't over power. This scent will never be a classic like Joy or Shalimar, but it is a nice fun scent. It is great for people that are looking for something fun but not overly teen nor smelling like their mother.

My latest blind buy has arrived :D on first spray it's powdery to me and very quickly that changes to the smell of skittles, you almost can taste the rainbow with this perfume! After the skittles scent mellows down the smell of rhubard sneaks up on in there then eventually on the dry down I get a slight caramel/vanilla scent. It's a lovely perfume and definitely a great blind buy, I got the largest bottle for £11.90, really can't complain about that! I gave my younger sister a spray and she said "It smells like a Lush (Cosmetics) bath!"

This is my favourite caramel. It's not suffocating and cloying sweet, but much more complex. On my skin evolves salty caramel and rhubarb(which is becoming my favourite fruit note) gives a sourness. Mixed with vanilla and peppery notes makes it very unique. For gourmand lovers is Quite safe blind buy, maybe you can still buy it affordable. It was a cheapie in EU but now it's available for a triple price on e-bay. Longevity and sillage are above average.

Wearing my last spray out of the bottle in bed now, and sniffing happily away. It's cold wet and depressing outside but I'm all snug as a bug in a rug and happy as Larry while sniffing this. This scent is anti depressant in a bottle for me and I'm not looking forward to a winter without it. I have If anyone wants rid of a bottle then I.pls get in touch as it's becoming impossible to buy online in UK now.

It's a slightly less sweet version of Aquolina's Gold Sugar (the citrus version of Pink Sugar) with a sour opening that passes rather quickly. It's long lasting and has a moderate silage. If you have Pink Sugar, Gold Sugar, or Prada Candy, then I'd say you should pass on this fragrance unless you enjoy smelling like a candy shop.

Sweet, sweet and at last sweet! It ́s so sweet that it ́s just for the ones who are really into sweet fragrances. But it ́s so addictive and that ́s because of the rhubarb in it. It ́s also very strong so 2 sprays will lasts all day. The combination of vanilla and rhubarb is very nice and i love it very much.

Why is it discontinued? I purchased at Ross based on that it has according to box, pink pepper on. Sprayed on in car and I am in love. Don't smell pink peppercorn but smells lovely. Looking forward to dry down.

such a wonderful fragrance! i just bought it yesterday and i am totally hooked. i'd never heard of this particular perfume before, but i absolutely love it! a sweet and sensual scent, just lovely.

The best sweet perfume ever! And last all day!

I first saw this at Marshalls (50ml for $9.99) and showed it, excitedly, to my mom and she read it and said, "Eww, too sweet!" and we put it down...Big mistake!! After smelling it today (got it from nattonline in a swap, thanks again Friend!)before wrapping it as a gift for my neice, we both had to talk each other out of keeping it! I am not a real big gourmand fan (unless coffee or hazelnuts are involved) and had my doubts about this, but this little beauty from Urban Decay Cosmetics (they own HC) is very, very yummy indeed! It begins, very interestingly, with spicy pink pepper and the sweet sour tang of rhubarb, (something we love) which makes this unique in my opinion. The tea is a white tea (immature, tender green tea leaves) and it pretty much smooths the sour and spice together with a clean freshness. The heart is truly fruity-floral with passion fruit(my favorite fruit, ever) and a decent jasmine-rose blend, powdery and silky at the same time. The finish is utterly gourmand with the caramel and smooth vanilla added to the cashmere (aka very soft, smooth) musk and just enough cedar to give it an anchor but not be overly woody, or aromatic enough to clash with the fluffy, creamy sweetness therein. A good fragrance for those with a sweet tooth and a soft spot for fruity florals... Sillage: good Longevity: above average Overall: 3.25/5 HC sells this as " a sultry little sugar rush to tease your senses" and " a steamy fusion of mysterious confections and rebellious spices"... I agree with the sugar rush part; but, the mysterious confection and rebellious spices-I don't know. It is a very different juice and it is suited to those who like sweet 'foody' floral scents with fruitiness in them, but all in all, this is not too cloying or over the top; and after it is settled and dry it actually smells very rich and smooth...try it, and if you don't like it give it to someone you are "sweet" on!

I read all your reviews and others before I decided to buy this fragrance. It truly paid off. I love it!! The rhubarb-pepper-tea top notes are amazing!! They're not sweet at all and they remind me of a softer version of Burberry Brit Red's opening. Soft, yet sharp. What a nice contrast. While the top notes are still lingering, the passionfruit juice-rose heart notes begin to emerge, which is the first sense of sweetness I get from the fragrance, in the form of "juiciness". Fortunately for me I didn't get much jasmine from this fragrance. The combination of base notes is where I begin to experience "sugar" with this fragrance. I do get a little bit of the cotton-candy effect, which is nice. Vanilla can be so difficult on my skin, and were it not for the other base notes to temper it, this fragrance would not have worked for me. Thank god for a little cedar and cashmere musk! It's a soft and sweet finish to a well-balanced fragrance IMO. I would guess that most vanilla-lovers would enjoy this fragrance if they could make it through the first ten minutes of top notes.

@Truffles: I am anxious to see your review! This is a mystery to me. The scent is intoxicating, entrancing, playful yet sexy. I am in candy paradise: passion fruit extract and pink pepper create a spectacular and effervescent opening. It's like ginger spice cake that makes my mouth water. When the heart sets in I can really detect the rhubarb : tangy and bittersweet like a burst of fresh figs. I cannot smell the white tea in the opening since it is faint compared to the lushness of roses and jasmine. And ohhh , that drydown that seduces people around me... I get so so so many compliments on this fragrance! The cedar wood and cashmere musk combined with the vanilla create a warm drydown that stays forever. Sillage is great, the price is more than pleasing, the longevity is awesome. And the bottle somehow brings me back to childhood: blingy emerald jewel top and funky flacon. I am definitely in looooove for fall and winter. What a great Xmas perfume i think: who agrees??? I want to see your balloons! thanx! Fragrant day to all!xxxx

I think I am going through my second youth. I am wearing perfumes I would not have even glanced at in my twenties. I was all for those dark musky sensual, "I am Woman" perfumes like Opium, Poison, Chimere...... I have recently discovered that I really really like sweet scents but that could also be because I'm on a diet since I broke my ankle and can't exercise sigh..... Anyhoo...Hard Candy, goes on fruity, tart and sweet that must be the Rhubarb, Passionfruit and Caramel. At this stage I'm thinking this is very similar to Pink Sugar. Dries down to a sweet peppery slightly musky fruity scent, it's very pleasant but sits very close to the skin. Wears very well in your clothes though, so it might be worth giving them a spray for longevity. It was hot here today, I got about 4 hours before I had to re-apply. This is a fun scent and I am really enjoying the playful spirit of it.

i do get the same feel whit this topp note as i do whit . Paco Rabbans xs. the red peppery notes ,and sweetnes. But this is more devolped whit the white tea and rhubarb. To me the rose and jasmin comes out very quikly , i can feel them after just a few minuts, this is sweet for shure , but not so vanilla sweet as Pink sugar is . this is more devolped around different notes . the passion fruits are in there and makes the whole think fruity and delicious. i could swear that in the middle part i feelt somthing like the smell of In black by Jesus del poso. Some of the same fruitynes , but dark and rich... but not alike , just a reminder of it:) I like this , thanks to Miss Guerlain i got to try it, she put in a sample of this in a swapp . .Thanks *This one have a good resamblens to burberry red whit the rubarb note aswell . But this is more sugery

This smells exactly like you would expect... like CANDY! Syrupy, thick, sticky sweetness. Pure sugarcane and very strong! At first I get a slight hint of fresh white tea and rhubarb with the sugar confection. Somewhat of an odd mixture for rhubarb to smell like candy! That doesn't last long till the lollipop monster swallows it whole(along with the other top and middle notes)! No spicy pink pepper or woodsy cedar notes to be found on me. Maybe a slight sweet and powdery jasmine somewhere. Hard Candy is smooth, musky, rich and of course SWEET! Almost intoxicating! I like it but I just wanna throw in some amber or sandalwood or amp up the pink pepper and cedar to give some warmth and spice to the layers. It almost has a suntan lotion feel to it. I can imagine wearing this while out in the sun!

i love the caramel-vanilla mix in this perfume, but today i realized that it is overwhelming when used early morning time and if you use it before brekfast; i think hunger may have effect on the sweltery feeling. the wheather was cooler than usual for a spring morning and i thought using it might give a warm feeling; the first notes are sharp but not fresh, i regretted using it for the first hour, but than, as the base notes come out, and i had my breakfast i felt pleased about it... now in the afternoon still the perfume is significiant without reapplying. it is one of the most long lasting perfumes i know, also so sexy and feminine. i love it but i think it shouldn't be used early in the morning except cold winter days and before breakfast :).

Top notes reminds me of sweeter, spicier White Tea from L'Occitane. It's White Tea with a spoonful of pepper. Quite unique opening and not at all what I was expecting from scent that so many compared to Pink Sugar. After this (rather pleasant) surprise, middle notes punched me in the face with sweet, car freshener fruity smell, passionfruit at its worst I think. Nevermind passionfruit, I survived without scrubbing it off of my wrists and finally could inhale sweet sweet smell of childhood. Caramel and candy floss with vanilla cream cake. Delicious! It's not the most sophisticated but well made (well, minus purple Wunderbaum scent of passionfruit, yuk) and cosy scent, perfect for grey Autumn/ Winter days. Must try for gourmands lovers

As a gourmand lover that lingers towards caramel, pralines, vanilla and coconut, I was recommended this fragrance by a friend overseas. I blind bought it from Strawberrynet for about NZ$25 All I can say is; Yum, I'm in love! At first it's quite sharp and I can really smell the white tea and rhubarb... But after less than a minute, the dry down comes in and I smell caramel, vanilla and a little rhubarb. It is a gourmand lover's dream! A little goes a long way and a tad grown up. No strawberry shortcake/candy mess in sniff!!! PS: If you love Tresor Lumineuse, Prada Candy and Hypnotic Poison, Hard Candy is definitely for you! Don't think, just buy! This perfume is discontinued so I will be ordering quite a few of them tonight :)

This is a floral fruity gourmande lover's dreamy delight!! On the initial spritz I smell a small trace of lime, raspberry (both notes not listed) and tonnes of caramel and vanilla. It lasts a long time, it's strong, but not headache inducing. I spray it on before bedtime, so I smell that lovely warm caramel all night. It's a fabulous scent for winter as it's very comforting and resonates well in warm rooms whilst it's cold outside. It's also fantastic value. I bought a 100ml bottle for $20 (believe me, it's good value in Australia). I highly recommend it for collectors of gourmandes. I might add that I couldn't detect any floral scents in this sweet delight. What more can I say? It's positively gorgeous, darlings!!

The fragrance equivalent of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans, this candied concoction passes through candy flavored notes, a bag of hard candy. First I smell a sour lemon drop, next a spicy red hot, then a sweet pineapple; each burst of fragrance is juicy and amazingly realistic. I do not mean by this natural; clearly this is all highly unnatural. Sweet and sugary, but hard candy sweet, not spun sugar, not caramel, not burnt sugar. Juicy, fruity sweet, and remarkably mutable, this is a lot of fun to wear, and layers well. like the contents of a cut glass candy dish, or a roll of fruit flavored life savers, this is fleeting, non-nutritious gourmand fun.

WOW! I really like this scent because it is good and sweet without being unbearable. To me it is a fruity and tangy cotton candy delight. LOL! It's mouthwatering actually. If you found Pink Sugar to be too strong and slightly obnoxious then this may be a better alternative. Hard Candy is such a good sweet scent and so affordable that I feel guilty buying it for the ridiculously low price of $12.99 for a large 3.4oz bottle from Marshalls. ANyway, if you want a sweet scent that has some character and won't give you a toothache then I suggest giving it a try. ;') Has a pretty good lasting power and moderate sillage that still clings nicely to the skin.

This scent reminds me strongly of these Werther's Original candies... Slightly salted, buttery, caramel/vanilla sweets. Hard Candy indeed! :) It's not as sweet as I initially expected it to be, which is just fine since I already got enough of those scents. This one is different... quite nice actually and longevity seems to be fine too! Edit: Day two... trying it again today and it smells different than it did yesterday. Yesterday it was mainly salty caramel... But today there's nothing salty about it, but more fruity (rhubarb & passionfruit?) I think I like day two better than day 1... now I am curious what the 3rd try will bring :)

LOVED that this box has the notes listed on it,so when I saw the massive 100ml/3.4oz bottle at Ross for $11.99,I figured it was a safe buy for me (I love gourmands). They had an open box of it a few days later and I gave it a sniff as I hadn't opened mine yet....to me it smells exactly like Pink Sugar without the nasty black licorice.Creamy,thick and sweet ribbons of caramel and french vanilla. Since I have a nearly full bottle of Pink Sugar and the rollerball,I decided to pass this on to a friend who is giving it to her daughter for Christmas. Excellent price point,cute bottle and a scent sure to please vanilla and caramel lovers!

This was another blind buy for me, since it doesn't exist in my country. I decided to buy it though when I learnt that it is going to be discontinued. So it was a 10 euro/100 ml deal. Anyway, the first time I tried it, it was smelling like burnt sugar. Nothing else. Luckily the second time I was luckier. The begining starts totally synthetic and although you can smell something like candy and caramel it is a strange blend. After an hour, you can smell the caramel but also warm vanilla. It smells a little similar to Amor Amor. It seems it was a good idea to wait for a rainy day. On the pros also it is long lasting.

After trying and buying a bunch of "sweetie" perfumes, I finally bought this. I don't find it as sweet as Pink Sugar, but it would be included in my top 10 of sweetest perfumes ever tried. Hard Candy smells like the taste of a Tootsie's caramel apple lollipop. The rhubarb and tea take the edge off from making the perfume "smell" like a toothache. Longevity is good on me, about 4 hours. Most bottles online are cheap and the bigger 3.3 oz bottle, so reapplying isn't a hugh deal to me.

Not a bad little sweet caramel fruity scent. Kind of nice actually. It has some complexity to the notes -- Aside from just a sugar vanilla bomb...you definitely get caramel, fresh watery fruity notes (rubarb/passionfruit) co-mingling with obvious tea and jasmine. Would make a perfect scent/gift for younger girls (my 9 yo niece would want want) - they will LOVE the bottle, and scent! But really anyone at any age can wear it.

Sweet overload, in a very good way. A little powdery, but only a little in the dry down. Another reviewer mentioned it's similarity to pink sugar without the licorice/sharp notes and I agree. It's a blind buy for me, and what I call a B list win, good for a basic day perfume, just not in my top 10. It doesn't last more than an hour or so but it's so affordable respraying isn't a big deal

I am unable to identify any of the notes listed in this perfume (I grow and eat rhubarb but cannot detect it here). Hard Candy is sweet and fruity with an accompanying sourness that keeps it light and easy to wear. Contrary to some reviews here, I do not find this syrupy, heavy or particularly long-lasting. Can be found at bargain prices so probably worth an unsniffed punt.

Sweet, tart, spicy! WOW! It's kind of predictable with that caramel note, like a lot of sweets already out there, but I don't care. I can't help but LOVE it! A perfume like this could easily be cloying, but my skin cracks the whip and tames it to the point where it's just a sweet cream underneath that citus spicy tartness.... darn right sexy!

I could never imagine vanilla, caramel and rhubarb mixed all together....but then I bought a bottle of Hard Candy and i was shocked how distinctive and fresh the rhubarb note can be in perfumes. Very, very sweet perfume with some fresh notes . Perfect for gourmand and sweet fragrances lovers.

Yay! I received my box today!! Ripped it open and sprayed! Yum!! Thats all I got to say! My hubby mixes my Pink Sugar & his Blue Sugar.. and this is basically the smell you get! It has the seewtnees of PS but has those undertones of the cedar thats in BS.. Bottom line.. I love it!!

the sweetest thing ever..Hard Candy is the perfect name for it.. simply sweet with a hint of spice..very affordable..i got a 100ml bottle from HK for $20 smells a little like scented candle..so I barely use it, but it's a cute and fun piece

I bought this one blind just for the price. And the bottle was interesting too. Not disappointed at all! Very nice frag; perfect for casual ware. It's sweetness in a bottle. For me, it's just like Brown Sugar from BeautiControl.

This perfume smells amazing. Unfortunatley mine changed so now it just smells mostly like the cedar note. it still smells good though but it was alot better before the scent changed.

It's just great! If you're into sweet gourmand perfumes, you will love this one!
