Showgirl

This will be my oddest review; every word is true. I bought three (3) 10ml travel size ~> 40% because of the name *Showgirl* + 30% because my niece Michelle (Micci) is a Swiftie (Taylor Swift fan) + 30% because of the notes: Mandarin Orange, Pink Pepper, Bergamot, Jasmine Sambac, Lavender, Cardamom, Musk, Australian Sandalwood and Amber. Sounds good to me. I kept one vial for myself ~> I like it very much. It's very nice. It's warm....velvety; perhaps more flannel than velvet. It leans feminine....which is fine. I like feminine-leaning perfumes; if I want to toughen-it-up, I add a schpritz of an oud and go on my merry way. ================= I gave one vial to Micci ~> Her comment: "Ooooh! Wow! is this Taylor's new perfume!?!?!? Oh my God.... (((spray spray spray spray))) ooooh....(((spray spray spray))) it's gorgeous! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!" [Side Note: I neither confirmed nor denied it's a Taylor Swift perfume.] ================= I gave one vial to Micci's mother ~> Her comment: "Showgirl?!? Sounds sexy! (((spray spray spray spray))) Oooooh..... oooooh.....this is Narciso Rodriguez. I LOVE it. (((spray spray spray))) Oh...this is Narciso....this is Narciso Rodriguez. (((spray spray spray))) I love it. Thank you!" [Side Note 1: I have no idea what Narciso Rodriguez perfume Micci's mom thinks *Showgirl* smells like.] [Side Note 2: My God....these women SPRAY A LOT of perfume.] Final Tally: Three out of three of us like it alot! *Showgirl* is a rousing success!

My bottle is almost empty, which says everything. I’ve never purchased a Burberry Goddess. I’ve smelled plenty over the years, but it never drew me in enough to buy a bottle. So not sure how it compares. But.... Showgirl creates a beautifully enveloping fragrance bubble that seems to draw others toward you. It’s elegant, magnetic, and warm with its bright citrus opening, floral-aromatic heart, and warm amber-musky sandalwood base. Of all the fragrances I own from this house, this is the first one I’ve come close to finishing and the first I’d happily refill. And it layers beautifully with Stellar Times, creating an even more radiant and enveloping scent trail. Showgirl is a showstopper.

I've been hearing/seeing lots of hype about this brand and its new "ode to Harlem Renaissance" collection. I ordered the discovery kit which contains six fragrances all with names associated with that era. I tried Showgirl first. Very nice! Warm, slightly sweet, lightly musky and gently powdery. There's an elusive note deep within that my nose keeps trying to identify. Hmm... Sillage is about arm's length and projection is soft (from one spray.) This one's a keeper, for me. I'll update on longevity once I give her a good day's wear.

Just FYI this smells great but if you have Burberry Goddess you may not need this! It’s smells great but very similar! On me the lavender comes out more than in Goddess. The longevity is a bit stronger and longer than Goddess, Goddess disappears on me after an hour and I have the intense! I do want to try the others from this house.

I love it! This one is an elegant, elevated fragrance. I'd consider this perfume a cousin to Burberry Goddess. Very similar fragrance profile. It smells rich and mature (but in a good way!) This one can be worn all year round which I love. Bergamot, Lavender, Cardamom, and Sandalwood stick out to me on this one.

This one is so lovely! The lasting power is incredible 8+ hours so far! I am very much impressed with the projection and the longevity.

A slightly spicy, sparkling, delicious candied garden. I love this brand & I’m so happy for them for the Sephora publicity now.

Showgirl opens with a very aromatic but sweet candied lavender and citrus blend. Fizzy mandarin and pink lavender. If you have ever smelled pink lavender it is different. It's sweeter than purple or blue lavender. It reminds me of Burberry Goddess in a way but much fresher and less sweet and actually prefer it. There is a nice warm spiciness from cardamom. It's kind of like a more postmodern version of Guerlain Jicky. A citrus feminine lavender with some woody and vanilla base notes. It's of today. I enjoy it and can see it being quite popular. If you like citrus, lavender white florals with vanilla you should like this. It also reminds me of YSL Libre Toilette but with a soft spicy kick from pink pepper and a fizzy mandarin citrus kick. I will wear my decant but I don't need a FB. My personal favorite from this brand is Josephine. I own that in a FB. I do enjoy the candles from Harlem. This is a nice co with high quality fragrances and products. Their Billie body lotion is divine. I wish they made it in Josephine. Leaves a lovely highly scented sheen on skin. Edit I can see why people compare this to the many YSL Libre flankers as well. I don't get Showgirl vibes from this. But I am of an older generation gen X maybe "nicer" fragrances are considered sexy now. This for me is everyday. Josephine is more Showgirl than Showgirl.

The opening is sparkly, bright citrus~ It quickly rounds out and everything blends beautifully, where its hard to pick out all the notes individually but I can tell they're there.. The lavender and amber do resemble Burberry Goddess, but this is a much lighter scent! The drydown is sweet, light, and fresh, but grounded by woods~ The citrus fades pretty quickly, and I end up with sandalwood and lavender as the notes that stick around the most? It hugs my skin and doesn't project too obviously I like it quite a bit! But the name is misleading... If this is a showgirl, its her off duty scent. There's no glitter or swarovski crystal covered seductress here.. Its much too bright and light! But perhaps this is what she wears while working her day job, hoping for her big break? Anyone lucky enough to catch her for a conversation notices a hint of that something special, but they can't quite place it~ I could see myself reaching for this year round, as a lighter version of Burberry Goddess (which I adore, but wouldn't be able to wear in humid heat)~ Its a daytime scent, and I'd want something with more oomph or going out or nighttime!

I love so much about this fragrance. The name, the perfumer, and the bright, beautiful open which is a true tribute to the "Showgirl" name. It's bursting with personality and zest. My complaint is that the magic of the opening dissappears far too soon into the drydown--less than an hour to be generous--before it starts to settle into something generic. Nice, but generic.

At first, I didn’t understand the comparisons YSL Libre EDT, but after a few wears, I do see the similarities in the background. This brighter, fresher, spicier interpretation. It’s definitely not super sweet like, Burberry Goddess. It’s not a safe blind buy if you hate lavender fragrances. Overall, I really like it. Very office safe, universally appealing fragrance.

very feminine and mature! almost feels a little too intense/sexy for me. but the lasting power has been insane so far, I wore it to work and could still smell it on myself after the entirety of an 8 hour shift. i like how the floral notes are subdued and its more musky, makes for a very deep and passionate scent. tbh i dont really get as much of the citrus as i would like

Showgirl is a non descript nice fragrance. It’s a pleasant scent that opens with prominent orange and bit of cardamom. After a few minutes It settles into mostly lavender vanilla. The composition smells a little all over the place, like the reviewer mentioned before me. The fragrance doesn’t feel very well blended. However it is not screechy and it is pretty easy to wear.

This one is kind of a mess, it's like Libre but nondescript and not as good.
