Sweet Sticky Things

OH MY! This opens SO over bearing that I thought I was going to be sick. BUT.......after about 10 minutes....this dried down to the most AMAZING coconut/sweet fragrance I own. I have only been wearing it for a half hour, but the presence is SO large that I cannot imagine that it will not last a very long time. If you love coconut.....you cannot do wrong with this one. Dang.....I was so nervous that it was going to be so over bearingly sweet that I couldn't wear it. Please wait a few minutes for the top to settle. You will NOT be disappointed with the results if you love the notes listed. Much love for this one........... UPDATE: As for the longevity........I awoke this morning to a lovely, soft coconut skin scent where I spritzed the one test spray. Awesome!

I really wanted to like this but this is extremely potent, like an explosion of pure salty sweetness. My oily skin aplifies the salt water taffy and sea notes to a point that I smell like a beachside carnival. I only put in spritz and throughout the day, it clung to me like super glue, persistent, toxic and cumbersome. I actually thought my cousin had spritz on Victoria's Secret Warm and Cozy but it was just me emiating that scent.

I don't have the one by Haught Parfums, mine is from Jarekhye Covarrubias' later company Ganache Parfums, which started in 2016 according to what I read. This is unlike any other perfume I've had - sea notes and cotton candy is what I get the most of at the start. I love gourmands and this is okay - I swear I smell saltwater taffy. The sea notes and seawater seem to keep this from being a sugar bomb, even with the marshmallow, caramel, and cotton candy coming in. It's still sweet - don't get me wrong - but the sweetness is diluted a bit, it isn't so sweet that it would be strictly feminine. Great for summertime, especially when you are going down 'de ocean, hon.

This is pure fun--beachy, playful, innocent. And oh my, that sillage: I applied the tiniest spritz to my inner elbow, and it's created a delicious cloud around me. Alas, I prefer my fragrances more serious than this one, and thanks to a recent swap, my breezy boardwalk craving has been sated.

YUM - just got this today. Think Bond No. 9's Coney Island - that delicious caramel cone smell. But whereas with Coney Island the caramel is quickly replaced by a very screechy citrusy sea water, the caramel here persists. And though there is definitely some sea water here, it doesn't overwhelm, but instead takes the edge off the sweet and keeps it from cloying. Nice!
