Indian Venus

That's a beautiful fragrance. I fell in love instantly... It's like sitting on a cloud-soft,warm, fluffy... Tried many fragrances but no 1 gave me those emotions. Shame-it not last. Wish it would be extrait...

Very surprised to read bellow comments that indian venus doesn’t last as this lasts on my -fragrance eating - skin more than 6 hours. It has a strong suede note that to me personally is off putting but even if i am not loving it i have to say it is very well blended and smooth. Sweet white flowers and buttery suede is what i get. Very unique and high quality, longevity is amazing without it having an explosion of synthetic musks or iso e.

Very sweet. There is similarity to HSW for sure. Although, I would pick HSW, it has that sparkle, cleanliness and the sillage is strong. Indian Venus starts smelling like barnyard towards the end too.

I was initially captivated by the stunning graphic on Indian Venus by HFC, prompting me to give this fragrance a try with hopes of encountering a robust tuberose presence. However, the tuberose is not as prominent as expected. Instead, what prevails is a sweet, smoky, woody oriental scent that could appeal to those who appreciate such fragrances.

I wanted to love it so much...the opening and mid-development are so lovely. In those stages it's both opulent and comforting in a charming, likeable way. The white floral is nicely balanced with the sweetness and doesn't become too cloying for me throughout those stages. The white floral and brown sugar are both prominent, but my nose really can't distinguish anything that comes across as sandalwood. Already in the opening the woody aspect is kind of indistinguishable. The musk is sweet and clean, blending in with the florals. But something happens to the composition in the drydown that really derails the whole experience of wearing it for me. I know it's not just my skin chemistry because the same thing happens to it on clothes, whether they be of natural or synthetic fibre. I am not sure what the "woody" component listed here actually consists of, and whether it includes oud or vetiver which both can behave in this way. As the fragrance dries down what remains is a vague, rounded sweetness and a prominent, I would go as far as to say acrid woody presence. It's giving sweaty, unwashed polyester uniform of mall security. Introduction of heat of any kind, be it weather or just body heat is only going to make it worse. And that drydown really clings to the skin and fabric like a curse, making me feel icky even fresh out the shower. Truly a shame. Sigh.

I recently discovered HFC perfumes and so far I've been very impressed by their offerings! On my skin, this is heavy on the brown sugar. To me, it smells like an amped Warm Vanilla Sugar by BBW, but with better longevity and more spice and woody undertones. Great for fall, winter, and cool spring days; very comforting scent!
