Canary Diamond

This fragrance was previously sold under the name "Sophisticated and Aromatic", so if you got a "Work" or "Play" fragrance from Hawthorne that said "Sophisticated and Aromatic" on the back, this is the same scent. So what is the scent? It's a versatile, mass appealing scent in the "Aventus" family. That's clearly intentional, as Hawthorne plays up the note of "smoked pineapple", which Aventus is known for. I've actually never sampled Aventus, but I do have a couple other fragrances in the Aventus family such as Mont Blanc Explorer and I can definitely see the similarity. Canary Diamond is smooth, with a touch of fruit and a touch of vanilla sweetness. I really like wearing it, and I've gotten compliments on wearing it. I've had multiple people pask what it was so they could buy it for themselves or their significant other. Projection and longevity is decent. It's nothing revolutionary or unique, but I really enjoy it, and I think the quality is up to par with anything you can find on designer shelves. What more can you ask for?

This was a decant that I ended up buying a full bottle for. It's very versatile and fun. A great one if you want extra 🍍 aventus dna. It's a great summer time going out scent.

It's kind of meh to me. I wanted something masculine with some fruit. I don't get the pineapple at all. It's not bad, but it's not exciting. For me this is more aromatic and earthy than containing the top listed fruity, sweet, and tropical accords. Seems to be a non-offensive and versatile scent that could be worn daily.

This fragrance has explosive projection. I actually had to tone it down a bit, because it was so pungent it overwhelmed my partner a bit. The pineapple, salt and vetiver notes are ALL THERE. The musk lingers in the background, but it is a soft white musk. It is not that animalistic Civet musk that I cannot tolerate. UPDATE: After living with this and its sister scents, I can say that the comments about it drying down to an Axe body spray is accurate. This also irritated my skin. I'm going to guess that the IFRA percentages were completely ignored in formulating this. I actually returned this fragrance. YIKES!
