Devil by Hazar Canal isn't a fragrance that eases its way in—it kicks the door open. The pink pepper hits first with a sharp, fiery edge that immediately grabs your attention. Just when you think you know where it's going, the cherry steps in... and this is where it surprised me. Finally, a cherry that doesn't lean medicinal. It's dark, rich, and seductive, and I think the litchi quietly smooths everything out in the background to keep it juicy and natural. As it settles, the musk takes control, adding a masculine backbone without ever pushing the cherry aside. That sweet, dark fruit stays with you the entire wear, creating a scent that feels confident, mysterious, and addictive. Devil isn't trying to please everyone—and that's exactly what makes it so good. It's bold, seductive, and unforgettable, just like the bottle it comes in.

The opening is rich and slightly spicy, the mix of cherry and lichi has an almost medicinal vibe topped with very noticable pink pepper. This quite quickly transitionins into a warmer amber-vanilla heart with a smoky sensual undertone. I know amber is not listed as a note, but that's how it smells to me. (I suspect there are other notes not listed too) There’s a sweet darkness to it that gives “luxury night fragrance” energy. It smells confident, dramatic, and addictive without feeling too soft or clean. It's not your typical cherry perfume. The opening I'd concider unisex, but this changes as the notes develops. As it dries down, the fragrance becomes smoother and creamier. The vanilla and amber takes the lead while deeper woody notes and subtle musk keeps it from becoming overly sugary, but it develops to become more and more feminine as it goes. It manages to keep its fruityness for quite some time but I catch myself wishing the initial spicy notes performed longer. I've tested it in somewhat different temperatures and it seems to perform best in cooler weather. It projected good on me for about 4 hours, then turning into a sweet skin scent lasting about 7 hours. I suspect this may change after it has matured for some time. Devil smells expensive, dramatic, and seductive, more of an evening and night kind of scent. It leans more toward modern Middle Eastern luxury than fresh designer-style perfumery. If you enjoy powerful amber-vanilla scents with a dash of mystery, this fragrance is very good for the price. But, if you're looking for something unisex, I'd say you'll smell more like a she-devil. The bottle itself has a very practical feature, the spear on top can be removed as it's attached with magnets so you don't need to bring a lethal weapon if you're bringing it somewhere. It has an eye catching design for display, the top seems to be 3d printed, has a rough granite like texture and the red bottle has a irregular faceted coat. This is the first perfume I've tried from Hazar Canal and it has made me curious of their other perfumes.
