Genievre Headspace

This is like a less citrusy, more woody Dior Homme Cologne 2013 with some sparkling soda facets that take it into the gin and tonic territory. Really, I'm stunned at how much this reminds me of my old DHC, just woodier and fizzier. This is absolutely excellent IMO, totally my style. Some sparkling character must be coming in with the pink pepper and olibanum. I wouldn't have thought incense from this because it's so pleasantly light and effervescent, but I can detect it in the background texture, a whisper of dry incense. Maybe a touch of floral lift as well. Previously I enjoyed Perris Monte Carlo's Cedro di Diamante. This is in a similar genre, but again, compared to that this has less citrus, is less sweet, drier, with more wood. Still need to feel the drydown a but more. I'm exploring other warm-weather scents, but I will be surprised if I don't pull the trigger on this one. Overall, a beautiful, versatile, and chic citrus-woody aromatic that I won't recommend to anyone because I want it for myself. Quite cool that they allege 92.50% of the ingredients are natural. The longevity seems to reflect that, and I'm totally ok with it.

Juniper/Gin citrus fragrance. This is bright and woody with the elements of the pepper and cedar. It doesn't resemble MFK Gentle Fluidity Silver at all. Office safe. The only negative is that it didn't last too long for me, maybe around 4-5 hours longevity.

This one is very clean and wearable and I wear this when I would not like to be sensorily overwhelmed

A beautiful citrus–juniper fragrance. Thanks to the pepper, the opening has a sharp, prickly sensation, like the bubbles in a gin and tonic. Mandarin adds both bitterness and sweetness. A great choice if you enjoy coniferous, gin-like scents.

I do really enjoy this smell, but that's also because it reminds me SO MUCH of one of my all-time fav scents: Juniper Sling.

Nice mandarin top over fresh/peppery juniper base. Not much more going on. Fresh-clean-office-safe fragrance. Good, but does not especially stand out compared to the other million of fragrances playing in that space.

Fresh mandarin soda. It's fizzy in an oddly compelling way- also a little rich and buttery like one of my favorites Eidesis by Aesop, making me think there is some sandalwood component, but perhaps that's the incense. Instead of being sharp like most woody citruses, this is round and bubbly like champagne. Sometimes it veers too far into detergent territory, as there is a soapy-resinous quality that feels like a high-end hand wash, but the texture and richness make it fun to wear. Kinda remarkable that it maintains that bubbly, effervescent fizz for the full wear too. Overall it ends up being a mild like. I probably won't upgrade to the full bottle from my 30 ml, but I enjoy wearing it occasionally and it does feel like an interesting perspective is achieved by using mostly naturals, as I find with Absinthe. It's a kind of stripped-back focus that's very easy to wear, and just different enough from what's available to make it a bit unique.

at first sniff i was underwhelmed, but then fell hard for this one and ordered a full bottle. i am very happy i did. it has a soft clean smell with a woody background, and if sniffed closely the woodiness can be distinguished as a dry incense that has not been burnt, hence the olibanum note. it reminds me of a beloved discontinued fragrance by the name of armani mania. longevity is good. on a side note i ordered a discovery kit from the brand and it came in one week from france to usa. also if u enter the bar code at checkout they take the price of the discovery kit off a full bottle purchase. impressed with this company and perfumers backing it.

I get sharp green grass. A tiny bit spicy from the juniper, which is perhaps my favourite form of fresh-spicy. I think it's mainly grass-citrusy, a bit fresh and somewhat dry. I think it's very versatile, perfect for everyday. The dryness makes it seem more refined than your average designer fragrance. Although – the walls are thin. I sure like it, but I'm unfortunately not much more excited beyond that. It's modern, masculine, fresh-spicy.

Despite the name, this does not smell like juniper at all. It smells of thyme. Still nice though. If you want an actual juniper fragrance, try MFK gentle fluidity silver.

Soapy, sharp, grassy. A little petrichory and bright and fizzy from the mandarin.
