There is not a single scent in this collection I dislike. Granted some I love, and other I just *like,* but what a versatile and lovely offering. Something for everyone in here. Sauge was actually of everything in the kit, the one I was most underwhelmed by, but the tonka bean in the drydown is doing something to me. It opens pretty peppery/sage/incense-y to my nose -- perhaps with some unlisted aldehydes, vaguely metallic; but that tonka bean in the drydown gives some nice warmth, softness, and sweetness. And I just read the description that this is the smell of nature after a storm and yes. It feels nature-y with an electric undercurrent pulsing throughout (prob aldehydes and sage). Really good stuff.

A very masculine, herbal-spicy fougère.

Reminds me of Hermann from ELDO. Notions of petrichor put them in the same wheelhouse. It also shares those metallic, peppery, incensed aspects from Hermann, but it's more lush and a bit sweeter in the base. I get the rosy geranium note really clearly and for that it feels like a generic (but high quality) men's perfume in the "fresh and spicy" category. Still really pretty, but I wonder if you could get this elsewhere for cheaper. updating after continued sniffing: this isn't that great after an hour or two. It dries down to a very generic floral amberwood aroma that I've smelled many times. The first hour is interesting but then loses the plant and petrichor aroma eventually.
