Exquisite Affair

I'm trying this fragrance today and it leaves my heart breaking a little. As for the aroma, it is a 10/10 and if it were the first F.Bianchi perfume that I tried, everything would be there, but comparisons are hateful so here are the positive and negative points that I see in this fragrance. NEGATIVES: We start with the not so good. On the one hand I'm missing a bit of originality here. Accustomed to intense and very special aromas, this perfume seems somewhat more generic to me than what Francesca has accustomed us to. It is an easy and friendly perfume. A sweet and fruity aroma with a very soft leather and a caramel note that is somewhat reminiscent of the soul of Baccarat Rouge. OBSSESIVE DEVOTION already seemed a little like Divine Perverssion to me, but this is Divine Perversion that is a little more watered down, with a much lighter leather and changing the raspberry for peach. I understand that it is a line independent of its brand and that it surely tries to differentiate the aromas of the main brand, but I don't quite see what this perfume contributes to the collection. On the other hand, the performance is one of the worst of the entire FB line. It has a very low projection and a very average duration. It also causes me a lot of anosmia and after a short time of using it I stopped feeling it almost completely. I have turned to third parties to see if they felt something and so I have seen that the duration does not exceed about 5-6 hours, which, in general, is not bad, but for a work by Francesca it is quite short. POSITIVES: The aroma is totally addictive. Although, as I said, it is unoriginal and lasts relatively short with a low power, the smell itself is very very rich. Although they said that it is a watery DP, it is also in some ways improved and from a subjective point of view for me it "smells better." It is also much more versatile, a scent that is suitable for any situation. If Obsessive devotion was the perfume for the night in winter and Divine perversion was an ideal perfume for the day in winter or the night in summer; This is a great option to wear during the day in summer/spring. As I also said before, if I didn't know other Francesca perfumes this would surely be a 10/10, but when comparing is where I find the problem. I would say that Exquisitez affair is a Francesca leather perfume for those people who don't like leather and for whom other Francesca perfumes are too much. I'd call this a coquettish perfume. It's sweet and flirty but not overly seductive. Soft and intimate. The peach is sweet but not too much despite the caramel and cotton candy, it's really the peach that plays the main role here with a strong supporting cast from cinammon and vanilla. My nose isn't picking up that much of leather or patchouli but my nose is also not very experienced ;) This fragrance comes across as rounded and lovely, definitely feminine to me and surprisingly likeable. Compared to Obsessive Devotion I find this one more interesting and fresh and intriguing. I got ca 5h longevity and low-moderate sillage out of it.

I had to do a double take on the top notes. For me, Exquisite Affair opens with a strong, green, bell pepper type of scent. I didn't get any citrus. It only lasted for a few minutes and then the peach and osmanthus came to the front. Scent at this point was quite sweet and feminine. To be honest, the peach-apricot combo smelled really good and I'd love to smell it on a woman. As the base notes came into play, the sweetness began to diminish, notwithstanding the cotton candy note. Most noticeable are the leather and caramel along with a woody accord in the background (I assume the sandalwood and patch). At this point, I'd say Exquisite Affair is unisex but still too sweet for me. There was something odd about the dry down scent - almost a metallic touch. Didn't care for it.

Well, I really hope the perfume will be better than how it sounds here... leather, peach, caramel, patchouli...last years she seems to use always the same notes.

Finally a Francesca Bianchi i can wear. Her frangrances are pieces of art but hardly save for work. Exquisite affair is Bianchi's Ombre Leather. Sweet like Triumph of Bacchus with a smooth leather.
