this is a nice everyday perfume for school, university or supermarket days :) fresh and innocent would suit for young girls especially...it smells delicious ,but it's longevity is very moderate! i would not use it as something very special ,but it is very pleasant!

This is amazing in longevity for a cheapy. In the beginning I get some spicy notes which give way to flowery notes and powder - the whole drydown is more or less flowery powder. I can not distinguish any of the green top notes or the flowery heart notes, nor any of the oriental base, but as already stated it is very pleasant. Hélène d'Arcy is obviously a brand of Rossmann, a drugstore chain. Though Basalt is still available in the shops, it is not listed anymore on their website. (I have the version in the red box with silver floral pattern.)

I have the old bottle, way back in 2004, not the long one but the one in matte and with character. Very nice sillage and longevety. I wonder if it's the same with the new bottle above. Very sophisticated and womanly.

I love it! In my view, the best of the Helene d'Arcy perfumes. Floral oriental. I smell the apple. Very nice for fall/winter.
