“In the Shadow of Artemis” opens with a lightly sweet tart yet restrained blackcurrant note, offering a juicy brightness with just the right touch of tang. A green effervescence appears from the woody depths, setting the stage for the airy heart. Dewy rose, lily of the valley, and musks swirl around fuzzy green fig leaf, giving the scent a weightless, breezy green elegance. To me, it captures the spirit of Artemis...the quiet huntress moving through the woods. Sandalwood, vetiver, fig tree, and a moss-covered forest floor ground the composition, evoking the shaded beauty of a forest along the Mediterranean 🏹 

This is so interesting. It starts out green & fresh. Not a screechy green. More like a soft walk through a mossy forest by a stream on a dewy, cool but not cold morning, green. Then it goes afternoon woods, warm & awake on a sunny afternoon. There's a hint of something sweet but not cloying & spicy but not sharp. It dries down into a summer evening at a festival by the waterfront, happy people, music & art. This scent is absolutely magical. Ive never smelled anything that encompasses an entire day like this. I do wish each stage lasted longer but im content.

Honesty, I get a shaving cream experience, with a touch of floral and fig leaf essences. Unquestionably masculine. The fragrance dances to the tune of the black currant, fig tree, rose and oak moss notes. I am surprised I like it, as it has floral rosy component, and I usually don’t do well with both. Long-lasting on the skin and the dry down is just as influential as the opening. I would say it’s a safe blind buy for fougere lovers — as I am one — but, of course, assumptions are dangerous, especially, in the fragrance game!

Punchy & bold green, slightly sour (in a good way), fig leaf rounded out by the slightly sweet fig fruit. Love it!

Crisp, clean and bold, this fragrance leans more masculine on me. I actually like unisex to masculine scents but I think this is a bit punchier than I can handle. The notes are clean and sophisticated for sure. But I foresee that as the weather gets hotter, the masculinity of this scent will become more pronounced and that this scent will leave a chemtrail for miles. It is reminiscent of that uncle whose cologne would take over the room long before he enters. Whoever said this reminds them of a strong after shave was not wrong. A woman could wear this in cooler months or if worn in moderation and a lot of restraint.

This is a massive blast of light pretty florals, it's very sparkly and a little ethereal, the projection is really good. If smelling like a magical fairy is your vibe, you may really enjoy this bright effervescent scent. I kept getting whiffs of this, and it really is very pretty. I got less of the woody base notes and more of the lighter fruity, floral notes.

This is good for what it is. I'm not too much of a fan of rose anymore, but this one is a nice springtime rose and incense frag which are the main notes I'm getting. In fact, before I looked up the notes, I would have sworn rose and incense would have been listed in the notes, but all I'm seeing is rose. As it dries down, the incense vibes clear off and a clean soapy earthy rose scent is what's left- I would almost swear there's patchouli in it also. Ultimately, it's very good for a formal spring time events (church on Easter, a baptism, whatever), and I'd say it's a little feminine leaning, but still, it can be unisex. I have no regrets buying the 15ml 3-piece Hellenist sample set.

Opening: A bright, uplifting, and slightly sparkling bergamot with hints of lily of the valley intertwined with black currant that gives off a fruity-floral, slightly clean, and effervescent quality to it. As it dries down: You’re going to be met with the fig tree note, but here, I can only smell fig leaves or “tomato leaf.” It has realistic, green leafy facets to it mixed with the opening that gives off this citrusy yet “green salad-like” and herbal smell. The oakmoss, sandalwood, and vetiver then give off this creamy yet mossy feeling to the fragrance. Overall: I’m really not a green fragrance lover, but the green notes with the citrus and black currant here are nice. 3.8/5

leans a bit too mature/masculine for my tastes. i definitely get the rose coming through which sets this apart from other green fig tree fragrances i’ve tried. i don’t know if this necessarily smells like premier figuier but i get the same heavy and humid feeling with a touch of sweetness that makes my stomach turn a little bit.

very sharp mossy-woody drydown that has a powdered, bitter-clean aroma. I get a nice fruity top note in the opening few minutes, where I sense a bit of juicy rose character alongside the black currant. That fruitiness lingers for a while and keeps it fresh and playful. Something in here is contributing a sour, vegetal body odor type aroma. I'm thinking it's the black currant (ammonia) and moss, or maybe a bit of a salty vetiver facet (can lean swampy). It's actually part of the charm, but I'm not sure I'm liking it personally. I wouldn't even call this a big fig fragrance, but if you're imagining a tree or a plant in general with some fruity aspects to it- then I could see it. The drydown reminds me of a vintage type of mossy cologne. There's a little bit of spicy sweetness and a mossy, powdered wood nuance that's sour and sharp. I'm really alternating between liking it and feeling indifferent, but I do think it's well constructed and worth a sample at least. Sometimes it's feels like there is a bright ambrox-styled aroma underneath it all, but it remains natural feeling with some pleasent depth.

The wild goddess of the hunt peeling citrus in a mossy starlit clearing, an unlit Baies candle wafting blackcurrant and dewy rose from her pocket. In another pocket (cargo pants, lots of pockets): crushed mint, pale green sparks, cold mineral facets. Retinal ghosts when you close your eyes after staring at something bright. The quality of light more than light itself. Green stems snapped, leaf sap on fingertips. Petals pressed between glass slides. Forest floor dampness clinging to knees. Atmospheric, solitary. Citrus as quartz as starshine, crystalline and remote. Grains of light-fall suspended. Psychic gossamer, sour afterimage. Florals at dawn, night's lingering chill. The moon in your mouth, its clear eye sees all.

I bought this last year in France, and I think I will wear it for the rest of my life. Or at least until the bottle runs out (but even then, I'll happily purchase another). This is the first vetiver fragrance I've loved. It's an extremely bright and green fragrance, but it doesn't fade or feel as ephemeral as my other more spring-time scents. Its stronger staying power and purposeful lean into woody territory makes it an extremely unisex scent. I love wearing it and just smelling it. Maybe I'm biased, because the bottle and description is so beautiful. It certainly makes me feel better about how much I spent for a full bottle.

When I tell you I am obsessed. This is everything to me I love it so much. I literally ordered a sample on a whim not thinking anything of it or expecting anything, but I was shocked how beautiful and magical it is and got a larger size. I don't get any woody notes now, and tbh I worry those will come through in the bottle over time. I would say the black currant and the lily of the valley and fig leaf I notice at first, but once the rose comes through later I am foaming at the mouth. I love the green element to the florals. It's definitely a sparkly dancing green magical journey.

So fresh and so green ! Fig leaves , elegant unisex, perfect for summer. Crisp and herbal. Solar and sunny, black currant is not the sweet type at all. It smells like freshly cut branches. Reminds me of something i've smelled since i was young, can't recall right now. But it's not unique unfortunately, it's 97% a 1 to 1 to something, even if done perfectly. Green , botanical, fresh. Crisp ! As every good greenie , longevity and projection are not it's forte.

Pleasant scent, but either the oakmoss or vetiver gives a strong cologne vibe. A bit too masculine for my personal taste.

It has a bold vibe, but still feels really nice. The black currant note smells beautiful.
