I tried this in the Copenhagen Henrik Vibskov boutique. It is a woody, slightly leathery and peppery fragrance with a hint of jasmine and an inky note. I would have bought it for the cute bottle, alone, but it was so weak on my skin and the scent disappeared way too quickly. I want the cute bottle, too bad. But, to be frank, one is better off with Tom Ford Ombré Leather or Byredo Black Saffron.

Completely agree with the review below me. However, it's not a horrible fragrance just sort of boring fresh woody and peppery with a touch of creaminess from the leather and almond. It's pleasant enough and it would be perfect for an office friendly fragrance. The bottle is the cutest thing I've seen in a while. I adore the wooden egg on top.

I had good expectations from the new Vibskov's Black (Cedar Root) but I've just realized I was probably being tricked by the cutest bottle design I've seen in a while. In fact, the fragrance is a total disappointment. A thin and extremely derivative woody-peppery thing that you won't be able to tell apart from the plethora of other similarly themed fragrances that invaded the market during the past 15 years or so. From woody-peppery to nothing at all in a matter of minutes. Completely irrelevant. Rating: 4.5/10
