Happy to be one of the lucky few to have experienced this absolute gem. I own two other HJs (Roi Sans Equipage and Ambrose) but 1995 is my favourite. It is the epitome of understated luxury and when worn truly becomes an extension of the wearer. As for the scent itself, it's bright, tart and conniferous in the opening, with the Bergamot playing a supporting role to the Juniper, Fir and Cypress. When finally settled, you are left with a fairly linear creation, but never boring. The leather in this leans clean. Think refined leather goods, rather than a saddle caked in horse s..t. Coupled with the herbaceous/green/woody materials it makes for something traditionally masculine, but so so SO smooth. All in all, an incredible perfumes that I am thrilled to own.

This is the one. This is the best fragrance I have. If we played the game "you can keep only one!" (i don t like that game but... :-), 1995 would be the one. This is simply put the best fougere and the best fragrance i have, out of hundreds. It is incredible.

Getting in to the house of Henry Jacques, I went to Paris, to get the full experience. Sat Down in the most beautiful boutique, and talked perfumes with there experts. I Got to smell a bunch of amazing scents, but amongst all of the 1995 stood out as the thing I was looking for. It is deep and mossy, yet has a clean masculine soapy vibe, Which makes it very classy. It changes so much through out the wear, so whenever you turn your head, you get nice whifs of perfectly blended notes. The longevity is good, I can smell it many hours after spraying, but the sillage however, is not the greatest. After a couple of Quick hours it does become a skinscent. I Got the spray version, but the Oil is really amazing as well. It is a Paris exclusiv, but if you get the chance... buy it!

Holy molly! This fragrance is an interpretation of a freshly shaved and well put together man. However, it's a unisex scent. And for me, 1995 is nostalgic and powerful with its vintage hints. The blending here is very beautiful, exotic, luxurious, well-refined and super elegant🤩💯💙
