Jake's House B.V.I.

I love this... it's stunning! It's a fresh, beachy scent. It smells as if you were taking a shower on the beach, and you breathe in the cleanliness of the shower, and the tropicality of the BVI beach. Smooth and lovely! If you like Jake's House or Flora Carnivora, you'll love this... it's in the same vein. I'd say that it's furthest from Window's Down of all the HR frags. FBW.

This is a perfectly polite, easy little fragrance. You won't make anyone angry by wearing it; it's smooth, clean, and understated - the fragrance equivalent of a crisp white button-down shirt worn with jeans. The notes meld together so neatly that I, deeply suspicious of jasmine, didn't realize it was lurking here until I checked the fragrance notes. It's not big, brash, loud, or exciting, but there is absolutely a time and a place for a quiet, classy fragrance like this.

Just got this in. I think it is a true unisex fragrance with a slight slight leaning of masculine. It opens as very masculine, imo but after about a minute it settles into a nice unisex frag. I won't be reaching for it all the time but it is a lovely fragrance. I don't think it's a seasonal fragrance despite the name implying it's for warm weather. The blue-green bottle is super fun. I'm excited to see if the scent develops over a couple months as well.

Jake's House BVI perfume is a disappointment, especially when compared to other offerings from the line. While the original Jake's House exudes elegance and beauty, this version falls short. It has a synthetic quality that's reminiscent of bathroom air freshener, lacking the depth and sophistication that make the brand's fragrances stand out. Torn, Queens and Monsters, and Sheep's Clothing are incredible scents, with Q&M and Torn being particularly sexy, and Dark is Night is nothing short of magical. Unfortunately, Jake's House BVI doesn't live up to those standards and feels out of place in an otherwise remarkable lineup. Bottom line, this is Tom Ford Soleil Blanc mixed with Glade Spring Flower bathroom scent circa 1988. It’s a no for me.

Not at all what I was expecting from the Henry Rose site! I was not expecting the pink pepper and rose notes! That stand out like a pink elephant in the room!!! 😤Sadly at first for me, my first thought was how fast can I scrub it off! But I said to myself wait for the dry down! Oh man what a dry down. You are only left with the Jake’s House DNA, coconut water, and amber. Thank GOD!!!
