Dirty Amber

The amber scent to end all amber scents. Very heavy on the amber with some floral and green notes to lift it and a little bit of sweetness (I'm guessing it's the vanilla, but I don't really get a vanilla scent, just the sweetness). It's long lasting and projects well. I got a discovery set from heretic and so far this one has been my favorite and I really wanted to get a full bottle and couldn't find it anywhere on their website. I really hope they bring it back because this is literally my favorite amber scent I've ever tried.

Somewhere between the last two reviews - I'm a sucker for a bit of pretentiousness and saying my perfume's extracted from fossilised tree resin gets the job done. It doesn't transport me to a warrior queen fantasy but does a great job at landing me square in the middle of an earthy, sweet, ferny wood. The 'dirty' aspect lasts as long as the fragrance lasts on my skin but disappears on my clothes - the perfume lingers as a sweet, powdery vanilla-amber on my jumper days later.

A yummy amber cookie. The vanilla and tonka bean are great additions and add to the overall feeling of warmth and richness paired with a slightly sweet, a little spicy, and a tiny bit woody resinousness. Dirty Amber has no sharp edges; it is smooth, syrupy, and creamy. For comparison, its neighbor is that gem of an amber fragrance, Halston Man Amber, but Dirty Amber is deeper, rounder, and penetrating like L'Air de Rien by Miller Harris.

I read the comment below and by comparison all I can say is “smells great “ But seriously - it’s dark and and sweet and has a sultry quality. Probably too much for warmer weather but like many heretic perfumes- it has a sensual (for lack of a better word”dirty”) quality. A smoother sweet perfume I prefer over their Dirty Vanilla.

Nice amber forward woody aromatic scent showcasing some fossilized amber resin. The perfume opens with aromatic notes of cardamom, juniper, cassia and bergamot. The heart is elemi, labdanum and amyris. The perfume settles on a powdery base with the fossilized resin surrounded by tonka bean, vanilla, patchouli, benzoin, myrrh and guaiac wood. Like a lighter airier version of amber classics like O’Hira or Ambra Aurea omitting the animalic ambergris. The scent has moderate sillage and good longevity. All in all an interesting and pleasant mostly natural amber experience. Enjoy!

i loved this on paper it was the most gorgeous scent ever but on skin it is very spicy and smelt like a spice shop on fire it lost all that vanilla and gourmand elements it had on paper very disappointing
