Dirty Suede

To me I don't get much actual "suede"/leather notes but overall it's the smell of a cedarwood chest that you kept a leatherbound journal in. A really great fragrance. In typical Heretic fashion, this fragrance doesn't last for hours or have room-filling quality, but that's not necessarily a negative here. Great to refresh with throughout the day & I think it's fairly versatile (work, date night, hangout with friends, etc).

A very interesting leather scent. I agree that straight out of the bottle it's a bit jarring, but it quickly settles into something drier and more comfortable. I love the pink pepper, it has a lot going on that makes it complex but not unapproachable. Also it's not exactly similar to leather to me but it's very close in a provocative, understated, and uncanny way. This scent is extremely hot to me 🔥

Upon first spritz, I immediately regretted spraying on my skin. After it dried down on me for about 30 minutes, I’m HOOKED. It smells like leather car seats mixed with a musky fruity perfume that was trying to cover up a long day of work if that makes sense. I’m so in love. This is a very sexy fragrance to me.

ONE OF MY FAV LEATHER FRAGRANCES. Its sooooo good without smelling synthetic or too strong, also very sensual and alluring. I wear this all day every day with any occasion, its just perfect.

Smells similar to Black Salt by Heretic to me, sans the citrus notes. For those who haven't tried Black Salt, Dirty Suede smells a bit like sitting on the leather seats of a new car while drinking a bottle of Coca Cola that's been sitting in the car for a few hours. It smells a bit sweet and fizzy in that way but also like new leather. I find this to be a skin scent despite the leatheriness. Longevity is okay but definitely on the low average end compared to the other perfumes I have tried from Heretic. It's nice, but I do wish it lasted a couple hours longer!

Honestly, it's a very timid leather scent on my skin. I somehow do not get the intensity some other reviewers described. It's a pleasant musky leather scent, very versatile, and quite intimate, actually. Update: two months later, no matter what I do, this scent simply refuses to last on my skin, it is gone within 30 min! This is the weakest Heretic scent, for sure. Still smells good, but it's not worth a full bottle for me.

I think I get a little bit of gender euphoria with this one. It's a low, warm, androgynous scent and one of the few from Heretic that really spoke to me. It's got understated luxury written all over it. I mostly get the Cedar and Amber notes with the pink peppercorn on the initial spray. The vetiver rests at the bottom, giving it some energy. Beautiful blend by Heretic.

This is the most subtle leather scent I've ever encountered. Soft, slightly masculine realistic leather with very faint silage but decent/moderate longevity. I'm looking forward to layering with this, but it's likely a bit too subtle for my tastes to wear alone.

A horse stable (hay, leather & that lovely horsey scent if you love horses) w/ pretty florals blooming all around. 🐎💐Somehow, it manages to be quite sexy as well. But maybe that’s just a memory of a sexy Argentine gaucho I dated in Patagonia.💭😌

Dang, I wanted some earthiness or muskiness, but it’s just cedar and vetiver on me. Definitely feels pretty masc for Heretic. Edit: I tried it with Jo Malone Peony and Suede to compare out of curiosity (which suede is the suede, yaknowhatimean) and it’s also fine, but I don’t think this suede is animalic or musky enough, it smells like wearing generic men’s deodorant with generic women’s deodorant

This fragrance reminds me of the Renaissance Faire. That time of year when leaves are covering the ground yet its still warm. There are leather stores and woodworkers around every corner, adding a warm comforting fragrance to the air. It's definitely not a fragrance that I would wear everyday or gravitate towards. But it is a beautiful scent nonetheless.

This smelled too masculine and "fake leathery" to me at first, but the drydown (on paper at least) is beautiful, similar to Black Salt by Heretic, as @jbel7510 said. It's a wintery beach scent, but doesn't evoke real leather or suede to my nose.

Something in this smells like artificial grape. I'm surprised there isn't a fruit note. But there is something in this that I just don't like at all. It's sweet and sickly. It's oddly animalic. I get a little leather. Once again, heretic's vetiver is not for me. I like so many of these notes but it's wild how different brands versions of accords or notes vary so much! This brand seems to not fit my skin chemistry. After a number of hours it smells like saliva and soft amber.

Smells like brand new leather purses

This did not resemble anything that I thought this was going to smell like based on the description and notes. I was expecting a sweet, sort of cashmere esque chypre smell. What I got instead was deep, deep, and I mean deep wood notes that are somehow sour and acidic. It kind of reminds me of bug spray in a really bad way. This one is definitely tied with Dirty Hinoki for the most disappointing scent from the Heretic Discover Kit. Very unfortunate.

I had to scrub this after 10 mins so idk how this developes, but on my skin it’s just giving literal unwashed butthole, or haven’t changed my undies post shart. I just can’t.

I think this perfume definitely lived up to the name, but it wasn't one I prefer. To me this scent invokes images of a crystal shop you find once in a strange town, with leather and animal furs decorating the place - or maybe an old leather bound journal. This was much stronger and longer lasting for me than other perfumes I've tried from Heretic.

this smells like a boyfriend or an extraordinarily carefree rocker girlfriend - it shares profile similarities to grand soir on my own skin. over time, it develops into a masculine-leaning designer facet. can sometimes give the suggestion of a stinky person

This was massively to masculine for my taste. I do however enjoy it on my boyfriend. He brings out the woody and fresh scents :)

This smells like a horse's stable with the leather saddles, the straw and hay, and the horses themselves.

Very beautiful leather fragrance... with a touch of spice and earthiness. Just love it.
