Cabriole

Perhaps I am older than the "target audience" :P but I actually love Cabriole. No annoying musk undertones that so often get added to make florals heavy and oppressive. It is light (honeysuckle), soft and non synthetic. I layer it with a complementing body lotion scent to increase longevity. It does linger for several hours on me on my clothes when I spray on my neck. It makes a very nice break when you want a subtle scent that is more complicated than a body lotion but isn't aggressive and demanding or when you nose just needs a "break" but you still want to feel and smell nice.

Cabriole is a very simple fragrance, but it is that simplicity that makes it worth it. It is a delicate scent, with honeysuckle being the note I mostly pick on. Having an alcohol-free formulation and targeted at children aged 3+, I'm not expecting something overly complex that I can smell from across the room for days, but rather a beautiful, plain scent reminiscent of the soft feel of a child's blanket and gentle soap. It is a lovely, inoffensive fragrance.

This one smells so soft and comforting. It’s honestly one of my favorite after shower perfumes because it gives that clean feeling, like holding a newborn wrapped in a blanket.

Like a light, refreshing yet calming fruit tea with a splash of sandalwood milk.

I've been playing with my samples of this and I've come to the conclusion it's "Baby Narciso For Her." Since Christine Nagel is also the perfumer on this one, it's no surprise they share some similarities (to my nose, anyway). Like For Her, it opens with a gorgeous osmanthus, but this is accented with honeysuckle versus the orange blossom & bergamot in For Her. Thus, the osmanthus in Cabriole is rendered lighter, more "springy" and tea-like, and a little less heady and fruity. The base is also free from the musk and patchouli and instead dries down to a lovely, smooth sandalwood. Despite being marketed to children I would not necessarily describe this as "childish." It's a lightly sweet floral that is probably very calming for both infant and mother - especially when the sandalwood hits. No alcohol in the formula keeps the sillage close. I like this and would definitely snag a full bottle once my Narciso For Her EDT is depleted. I think I prefer the sandalwood drydown in Cabriole to the patchouli/musk in For Her. I could see this being an easy reach on its own as well as potentially layering well with other scents.

It took forever for me to find a sample of this, finally someone kindly gifted me a decant. I've been curious about this for years. It's of course, overpriced in many respects, but I understood that going into it. It smells well-constructed even so! This is more classically feminine than I expected. I don't smell distinct florals as much as I smell milky, soft, well-blended florals. The experience is one of bath products, a combo of lotion after shampoo and conditioner, it's quite soothing. Regardless of your age, you'll merely smell softly clean with this, it doesn't smell like *perfume*.

I really like this, what a perfect combo of notes: honeysuckle, osmanthus and sandalwood. It’s delightful, soft, powdery, gently sweet and full of sunshine, bees and pollen. I like how it smells like gentle baby shampoo. It’s just so subtle and barely there, and to make matters worse, it doesn’t even stick around. There needs to be a parfum version of this. I love it but I’m not here to play around with weak subtleties, however pretty they are. Edit: Oh I see it’s for babies. Well it’s perfect then - I just desire an adult version now as it’s whet my appetite.

I bought a decant because I was not sure about this. Yes it's an uncomplicated scent, yes it's not containing alcohol but it's gone after 5 seconds on my skin, can't truly enjoy it.

The regular Eau de Colognes (for babies) made by Johnsons and Pears, contain a ton of alcohol. Hermes is an uber luxe brand when it comes down to it - and their target market is very much the super rich. So catering to the super rich babies, not only makes sense business-wise, but shocks me that they are only doing this now. Bvlgari did it with the Mama and baby fragrance (I've forgotten the french name of it), Lolita Lempicka, Burberry, and etc, they've all done it. So it's not something to argue and bash a brand for catering their products to a market that will pay that premium coz they can afford it.

I got this for my toddler but when i was pregnant and craving to smell good i would always reach for this! its such a clean, pleasant, joyful scent that is inoffensive and for an alcohol free fragrance, i’m surprised by its performance, it has good longevity from my experience. Overall love this and i would keep repurchasing it.

The packaging looks like it's more for children than for men and women? It's even made without alcohol... Like Lolita Lempicka has the 'Mon Petit' for babies too.

What a fun little illustration. No one is making you buy it if you don't like the idea of the product, then ignore it and move on. I love it personally.

Do users ever have a moment of clarity where they realise they're behaving like bigger babies than the intended audience for this scent?

Targeted for children but probably very wearable for anyone who wants to smell clean and uncomplicated
