Concentré de Pamplemousse Rose

An instant love. The grapefruit is very realistic and the rose kind of just rides in the background. You do get a little bit of it but I can’t say that it is a rose dominant fragrance like I expected to be since rose is in the name and notes listed. This is what I expected of a Hermes in these fun colorful bottles. I have 4 others that are in the eau collection so this is my first concentre and I’ve got to admit that as far as longevity goes I don’t think they’re any different. This one doesn’t last long on my skin but I’ve come to expect that with this line and I’m okay with that! I can trade a bit of longevity for this beautiful realistic simple fragrance. I have Eau de Citron Noir, Eau d’Orange Verte, Eau de Basilic Pourpre, and Eau de Neroli Doré. To me, the closest one it reminds me of is Orange Verte. It has a similar classic style that is citrus heavy. To me it leans less masculine than Orange Verte but maybe slightly on the masculine side of unisex. Oddly enough it reminds me a lot of Prada Carbon on the dry down. Anyone will smell amazing in this. I picked mine up for $55 which I think was worth it!

A very fresh citrusy perfume with a hint of woodiness in the dry down. I like it and on me it tends to be a tiny bit warmer than I first would’ve thought by just smelling the perfume in itself. I don’t know how many countries have this, but I’ll still give the example for anyone that’ll get the comparison. At first it smells EXACTLY like a citronella candle/ mosquito repellant concentrate. And I love that smell, as it dries down it still smells quite a bit like that but with a hint of pine. At first you can smell it pretty well, the sillage is average. But after barely and hour it simply becomes a skin perfume, and that’ll last me a few hours more. But other than that I wouldn’t expect too much from the lasting on the skin. I was very lucky as I have a friend who got it for free at work and then gave it to me, I don’t think I would buy it again, for the simple reason that the longevity isn’t worth the price at all.

The grapefruit peel in this fragrance is gorgeous. Shortly after spraying the grapefruit is joined by an earthy vetiver and from then onwards the fragrance is rather linear. I personally do not smell much of the rose. Compared to the Eau de Pamplemousse Rose, the Concentré is less refreshing and juicy, but still really lovely.

Another gem from Mr Ellena from his great creations at Hermes. The opening is perfectly balanced between tangy/realistic grapefruit, woody vetiver and delicate rose. Dry down is more woody grapefruit, and less rose but really nice altogether. Unisex fragrance, and perfect for the warmer months.

One part EdC (tangy pink grapefruit) to 2 parts woody vetiver. Why not? Essentially a light weight grapefruit vetiver that can be worn anywhere. Longevity is strangely even shorter than the EdC version...? Consider sample Eau Givree before settling on this one.

I prefer the Eau version over this because the vetiver here removes some of the freshness and airiness found in the Eau. In addition, the rose is so subdued here.

That was quite nice, not too much rose though, some interesting combination, and something summery, fresh, a bit original came out. A note to remind oneself.

A very fresh juicy blast of hyper realistic grapefruit with a grassy vetiver dry down. My partner thought this was Terre d’Hermes and smelling the two side by side they definitely share a fair bit of their DNA. Unlike TdH and this leans more unisex, fresher and more summery. I had to pick up a bag of pink grapefruit to satisfy a craving after wearing this. Longevity not great but it’s a citrus cologne, I for one am happy to carry it with me and reapply throughout the day.

Love this to death, my fravorite fragrance. Realistic pink grapefruit + a little bit of rose and rose stems. Not that type of sugary rose you often find i jams. It's more like freshly cut rose. But, if you didn't tell me there was a rose note, I would never guess. I just like the super fresh grapefruit.

It's probably my nose problem but I can smell this only at the beginning, not even 2 minutes. Definitely a wonderful smell as long as it's there.
