H24 Eau de Parfum

(Comparison of the EdT, EdP, and Herbes Vives) Hermes has a bit of an ego when it comes to their flagship masculine perfumes. They style themselves as trendsetters for the market, and have done going all the way back to Eau de Hermes and Equipage, of which there was nearly two decades between them. That’s another mark of Hermes’ approach to their flagship masculines: they take their sweet time. They blew the masculine perfume world apart at the start of this century with Terre d’Hermes, and in general because of JCE’s other achievements with the Hermessence and Jardin lines, and now they feel bold and it high time to have another go. Did they disrupt the masculine perfume world yet again with H24? Well the feedback certainly seems to suggest so, mostly in how divisive and confused many seem to be. So let’s try to clear some of that up at least. The EdT has a hesperidic and floral opening that is completely translucent, as if you are smelling fruits and flowers that are crystal clear. It’s lemony, green herbal, noticeably ozonic, and those greens you pull are no less what is aiming to be narcissus, which is made evident via the heady and honeyed aromas. Into the heart, thanks to the “narcissus”, the sage-not-quite-sage note comes across as sweetened, but this is all likely an effect of this touted sci fi material the brand is certainly not shy of mentioning, sclarene. It is herbal, it is wet, it is sweet, but it has this “incomplete” feeling that makes you think that, again like I mentioned a second ago, that the sage is nearly crystal clear. Glassy with a green tint. The EdP opens with the same cast of characters but is more fruity, more floral, and noticeably but not terribly sweeter as a result. Everything in the EdP is just more, and definitely denser - particularly the narcissus/sclarene material(s) with its heady honey doing a large amount of the lifting for the sweet quality. Of the three, Herbes Vives has more on offer with an opening of watery but rather photorealistic pear, ozonics, and the same cool herbs but made greener, more vegetal, and sharper thanks to a galbanum edge. Needle sharp aldehydes also briefly present themselves here. The heady and honey characteristics of the narcissus are placed a good distance in the background. The heart of the Herbes Vives is drier, somewhere between the EdT and the EdP but more towards the EdT. It will seem drier than this because of the sharper green edges. The narcissus is still there, as is the sclarene, but now we have the addition of Physcool used to provide a cooling effect without clobbering you with a mint note, and it works: the tactile sensation of the perfume on my skin is not “cooling”, but it does have the effect of smelling cool while it works its way through my nose and palate. Neat trick. The EdT ends with a big slug of evernyl that has a damp, only slightly woody, moss-not-moss aroma. The EdP goes heavily dark woody thanks to a dense and slightly sweet rosewood. This is significantly drier than the opening and heart layers. The evernyl is still present but put much further backstage. Herbes Vives errs towards the EdT with a focus on the green mossy qualities but the brighter greens of earlier layers continue to hold on until the end, having this effect of removing all woody aspects before shifting to a green-only piquant and salty vetiver. Note descriptions of all three H24s are necessary and helpful, sure, but this line is equally about texture as they are aroma, to my nose. Particularly in the EdT, there is quite a bit of “Jean Claude Ellena” in its transparency, and light weight lucidity - perhaps a Hermes mandate given how much his signature style drove sales at Hermes counters - but Nagel still sneaks her unmistakable signature on the bottom line. She has this remarkable stylistic ability to texturally evoke glass or cling film - transparent, light, and undistorted but nonetheless impenetrable, like you are kept from truly “getting your nose” into the material and you must observe from a distance. It greatly helps to execute the mandate of a composition meant to blend the natural and the technological very well. The EdP makes it more obvious how Hermes intended to push the boundaries of mainstream masculine perfumes with H24, as this is likely going to be quite challenging for the general consumer. JCE’s stylistic legacy is less apparent in the EdP, and Nagel’s signature is bolder. If the EdT has a glass-like/cling-film-like impenetrability, the EdP is bullet proof glass. It is thick. With Herbes Vives it is more like the EdT, but it’s also with Herbes Vives where the overlap between the three H24s and some of the Jardin line is more obvious and noticeable. Some of the same materials from the Jardin line are used across the H24 line, and, again it wouldn’t surprise me if part of the creative mandate for H24 was to take what made the JCE-era popular - many of those materials and JCE’s easy to wear, light weight, luminous, and transparent perfumes - and just... make them edgy. Push the envelope a bit. They certainly do. I find it unfortunate and unfair how much flack H24 has received. Maybe they pushed the envelope a bit too much too soon or too late. It’s one of Hermes’ best this century, only after Terre and Paddock in my opinion (I can feel the glare of eyes and the raised eyebrows from you Cuir d’Ange devotees, and I might acquiesce on that). Perhaps with more time H24 will find its large deserved devoted following when minds and tastes are better able to wrap around it. I own all three of these in full bottles due to lucking into them, but that is mostly redundant and not recommended for your wallet unless you are the rare bird that find themselves loving all three equally. To my nose Herbes Vives stands out the most by combining the best parts of the EdT and the EdP, giving them a big glinting green edge and adding the interesting pear opening and the Physcool. It seems it has more it wants to say, but that might not mean you want to hear it. So, trying all three before buying is highly advisable because all three are different from each other in polarizing ways, and just plain different and polarizing in general if that is not already obvious. Hermes achieved what they set out to do, and, at least, I’m thrilled to see they are recognizing and standing behind Nagel and H24 for the achievement, and willing to wait it out (thus far). Bravo. P.S. My partner cannot help but think of scorching-summer-hot seat belts from a vintage car when smelling H24, so even our mostly-unified household is divided.

My first review on fragrantica and I picked this fragrance because this is my signature! It's a hobby where I've been through over 20+ bottles and many many more decants. Hermes was not a house i was looking at, I've smelled tdh in 2018 (when I was much younger) and thought who would like this stuff? I did get a sample of H24 EDT back in 2021 and same thing... Why would anyone buy this? But over the years I've gotten older and my nose has matured... All those sickly sweet and woody fragrances no longer interest me... And enter H24 line! This one is just so unique, there's nothing like this on the market! And i like that it's a love it or hate it scent, so i smell more unique! To me this one changes with the seasons... In the winter i get more green and fresh vibes, and when there's more humidity in the air i can really see the steam effect! To me this one smells green, a bit like being in a backyard garden. But also metallic, so not exactly like being in a forest. I've owned this bottle now for over 6 months and a been through a quart of it. Since I've had this I've lost interest in the rest of my collection. I still keep seeking new scents but i shouldn't bother... I've tried 12+ decants since i got this bottle and nothing has come close, so i just ordered herbes vives instead. I'm really leaning in to this line... And Hermes in general. There's something to be said about a brand that doesn't do focus groups and market research to product the same scent everyone else is already producing! Christine Nagel has free range to create unique fragrances and i can't wait to see what comes next in the H24 line! One thing for all of you... If a scent is love the first time you smell it, try living with it for 6 months and then see how you feel! For me H24 line was ok at first sniff but the more i wore it the more i loved it! Finally my signature!

Hermès' master perfumer Christine Nagel gets some criticism that sometimes borders on misogynistic. Think about such accusations as she cannot "understand" male scents, where the author confounds his – always "his" and not "her" – opinion with some sort of universalist view that is so ridiculously easily proven wrong by the fact that there is a high number of men enjoying her male scents. I think H24 Eau de Parfum is a great example of a relentless creativity that nods heavily to iconic male scents such as Pour Un Homme de Caron, and especially early, timeless fougères from houses such as Geo F. Trumper and Penhaligon's. This is, however, a very modern pseudo-barbershop, pseudo-fougère scent – a modernist and novelty approach that will always be unappreciated by some. It is easy going, brilliant for work, and for the attentive nose it can also be really intriguing. It is probably the one I receive the most compliments for, at least of this everyday kind of green daytime scents. However, I find it also well suited around the clock as well as the year, for quite many occasions. In the opening, I am led to think of the Austrian niche house Wienerblut's release called Klubwasser – a very green, "healthy gourmand" that adds a perfectly balanced sweetness to aromas of a well blended lunch salad that includes an abundance of green herbs. But H24 EDP quickly reveals oakmoss and the sclarene's lavender-ish qualities turning it in a different direction – towards the barber's in fact. Lunch is still hours away in that respect. Later on, the oakmoss lingers throughout the workday for me. Performance is therefore very decent I find, and well suited for any closed environment. It is also very available, and sensibly priced often.

Year round worthy, plain & simple. A bit richer and slightly more dense than the OG but, in a good way. Herbaceous, vegetal and with the twist of the Oakmoss, it adds a bit of a classy vibe to the overall composition as if paying homage to the classics of yesteryear such as Chanel P.E., Drakkar Noir, Kouros, Macassar by Rochas and a few others that escape me without having the semi astringent lavender and soapy characteristics of those aforementioned fragrances. Clearly not as green and pine like to neither of them but, more up to date and certainly more modern/contemporary in the mainstream today. Still has the clean steamed note that I actually like which still gives it the versatile tag for any situation, dressed up or down. H24 eau de parfum does not fall inline with the dizzying line up of blue fragrances or the atrociously syrupy sweet concoctions that quite frankly are more suitable in a spice rack than in a gentleman’s fragrance collection. Hermes created something both different and bold. While still being close to the edt, it has become more masculine, sophisticated and yet casually refined. I prefer the eau de parfum because of that classic throwback vibe while increasing its strength and longevity on my skin. The green like cleanliness in the drydown is superb and unlike anything out there that is available today. You want different yet smells manly and well put together, H24 Eau de Parfum will fit the bill quite nicely. If you want shower gel blu, pancake syrup stickiness or exude a Vanilla Coke and Cinnamon Roll like aroma, steer clear of this juice. Gentlemen need only apply. Let the haters hate.

While the EdT, or original H24 didn't really catch my attention for some reason - maybe because it was too weak on my skin - this one for sure did. It is a rare occurrence these days, an aromatic fougere-like scent released by a renowned designer house. Hermes made a perfume centered around oakmoss, or some well-chosen substitute at least. This perfume is similar to the scents of yore, with not even a glimpse of sweetness within. It starts off with a steamed shirt vibe lots of people mentioned, but later it calms down to a mossy, vegetal scent of our favorite lichen, with some carefully chosen molecules and aromatics to back it up. If you told me that there is some sort of sage in there, I would firmly believe you, but can't say I identified it myself. So, a rather simple, linear, yet effective scent, with very decent projection for an EdP and a double digit longevity. Naturally, with these notes and composition, H24 is likely to intrigue older and/or more experienced crowd. If what one's looking for is more in line with modern perfumery, then, by all means, he can skip this one, but I would still suggest a try, because, who knows, maybe we can reverse this trend one person at a time. In my opinion, h24 would work good in all seasons, but this period suits it the best. Also, at least a touch of formal attire is a must, this is really not a sweatshirt scent. All in all, a solid 8/10 for me, and chapeau to Hermes for releasing this one in 2020s.

This smells like luxury and could have been named H24.7.365 because it is one of those scents that can be worn anywhere, any time and on any occasion. People didn’t like the original H24 because it was too one-dimensional and the sclarene smelled too much like ironing steam, so they upped the sweetness, floralness and woodiness in this, while dialling back on the sclarene and metallic nature of the original. The mossy aspect of the oakmoss is construed by some as having a banana-like quality. I think there is something ketonic that contributes to the fruitiness of the EDP and smells like banana or other ripe fruit. To me, it smells like a melon. Now, people are being repulsed by the banana effect of the EDP, so they decide to remove the oakmoss and even more sclarene, ending up with the latest flanker, Herbes Vives, to placate those who disliked both the EDT and EDP. I love both the EDT and the EDP, the former for its metallic sclarene and the latter for its fruity ripeness. I don’t think it’s redundant to have both. But if you already like the EDT or EDP, I don’t think it’s necessary to get Herbes Vives, which bears the least resemblance to the original H24 DNA. Overall, I think the H24 line is underrated. If Terre D’Hermes is classic, H24 is for the modern man. I would wear H24 over Terre D’Hermes any day of the year.

The scent made such an impression on me that I felt compelled to write my first review. I can smell metallic green scent. With its “polished” freshness, this scent gives me a sense of freedom and hope. It's like a bright future where people are closely connected to both nature and technology. I would describe it as the traditional part of society being represented by this greenery, and the futuristic part by polished metal. I also associate it with the era between the 2000s and after World War II. Perhaps this is because society was not yet completely permeated by technology, but at the same time, technology was developing rapidly. I wondered what conclusion to draw. Perhaps this scent symbolizes for me the best side of human nature: namely, the search for truth and eternal development. Greenery symbolizes constant development, just as a tree grows, so does a person acquire knowledge, and metal symbolizes the iron will of a person on the path to truth. So yes, this scent is associated with eternal progress for me. In my opinion, this scent is suitable for both a diligent student and a mature professor, as people learn throughout their lives, symbolizing eternal progress.

The parfum version opens with a blast of Nagel’s signature grapefruit, adding some slightly metallic banana peel, coumarin and oakmoss. You might actually be a bit put off if spraying on a paper blotter that is likely to amplify the metallic-bitter impression. That would be a shame, however, because those edges are very quickly smoothed out. Once settled after 2-3 minutes, the first thing that comes to mind when I smell this is Trumper’s Wild Fern from 1877, begging the question if it is appropriate to say it is indeed a modernised fougère. I think so, and it is successful at it. It has nothing of Wild Fern’s camphorous coumarin aspect, but rather smooths out the green mossy impression with some vague hints of marigold and just slightly ripe banana. A famous aphorism goes “Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose”, which I find very apt for a very modern, niche fougère like this. It also make me think of Orto Parisi’s Viride, but H24 parfum is less synthetic and more barbershop mossy. Some will never credit a major brand such that Hermès after all is, but I think praise is well deserved here. I payed about 55$/€ for 50ml which is an excellent quality/price ratio.

Really enjoy this stuff, it's super simple yet unique and artistic. It's almost guaranteed your opinion on it will change between the first and second time testing it. The first time I tried it, I was disappointed and thought it just smelled like nothing but realistic and boring fresh-cut grass. Immediate pass, and I didn't think anything of it. Only when I tried it again another day did I really understand the composition. It's clean, sophisticated, slightly sweet, and extremely modern. A nice fresh and herbaceous opening gives way to sweet woods with a touch of clean, transparent florals. The only other Hermes fragrance I tried is Terre d'Hermes Eau Givree, and this one in my opinion is infinitely better despite being much less popular and loved. Terre d'Hermes Eau Givree is similar to this in base composition, but with a sweet, synthetic smelling citrus that reminds me of the hard candies my grandma used to get. H24 gives off casual, relaxing vibes and modern, clean, CEO vibes simultaneously. Absolutely a full-bottle contender when spring comes around. If you don't like this stuff, then your nose might be misleading you and you should definitely try it again.

Smells the way the bottle looks: clean, green, transparent, modern. It's slightly more sweet, "damp" smelling and rich compared to the EDT, with the edges rounded off a bit more. Slightly more crowd pleasing than the EDT as well, although it still divides opinions and is far from a compliment getter. Reactions from other people have ranged from "smells pleasant" to "really not my favorite" - so most people don't really care for it haha. Practically a niche fragrance in a designer bottle. Not a safe blind buy, at all. No idea why but for me it conjures the image of walking into a fancy, pristine bathroom that has just been cleaned, in the middle of a spotless, well-maintained city with tall concrete/glass buildings and plenty of greenery, on a sunny but not too warm spring day after it has rained, while wearing a freshly washed white t-shirt. It's the fragrance of a dream I had once years ago. Yeah that sounds absolutely insane, I know, make of that what you will. 100% a daytime spring scent, when it's that awkward "I'm not sure what to wear" weather, but you can still pull it off in a mild summer.

This greets you with a blast of wet, bright moss — lush, green, and metallic. The opening feels herbaceous and fresh, and even though citrus isn’t officially listed, I definitely catch a zesty, sparkling brightness that livens up the scent and keeps it from being too dark and mysterious. There’s an earthy quality throughout, but not dirty or rough. Instead, it’s the smell of damp soil. A touch of sweetness and spice rounds everything out beautifully, sitting on top of a woody backbone that gives it structure and maturity. The fragrance feels rather linear, but it's one of those scents that being linear isn't a problem. If you enjoy green and herbaceous scents, it’s easy to appreciate its consistency. If not, this probably won’t be for you. This also isn’t the “pine green” or “grassy green” that many expect from green fragrances. It’s darker, moodier — almost murky, like a swamp, but transformed into something refined and elegant. Overall, H24 EDP feels both classy and gentlemanly, yet casual enough to wear daily. It’s versatile, modern, and I could absolutely see this being a signature scent.

Thoughts about maceration process?? Hello guys, i have had this fragrance for a little while (6 months) and i have some thoughts. First of all, i love the scent i think it's very unique, smells amazingly fresh and uplifting and it just hits the spot for me, i love it. The performance on the other hand it very strange.. the first 5 months it was awful, i kept reaplying and using a lot of sprays to smell it even on skin.. and yes, i am sure i was not nose blinded because i asked friends and they said the same, almost nothing after about 2 hours.. so i have up on it. But today i wanted to give it the last try, and i have tot ell you, after 6-7 hours of smelling it continuously, i took a shower and my neck smelled so strong, very proud moment. So i don't know what happened but now it lasts way more than it ever did, maybe because now it's cooler outside and in the summer performed like a deodorant, i don't know, but i am up to hear some thought. I really recommend it to stand out, and get a very greeny herbal grass (in the most fresh and beautiful way). Thank you!

★★★★★ After all these years in my personal fragrance journey I've realised that it's always about those scents that puzzle you and make you think. When I first tried H24 in EDT form, it pushed me away, and at the same time drew me in. It is not a challenging scent, just awkward. Awkward because its synthetic heart (sclarene) makes H24 a thrill from another galaxy while the herbal and floral character bring it back to earth, reminiscing classical perfumery. It's all about contrast with this composition. While I found intriguing the idea of its steamy fougere character, could not think whether I'd enjoy wearing it on a daily basis. H24 in EDP form is the same intriguing idea, only more associated with perfumes of the past due to its Oakmoss extract (yes the box clearly includes evernia prunastri in the ingredients) That leaves everyone with a modern classic from one of the most sophisticated and tasteful brands around. The accentuated nod to the past is what makes H24 EDP very Hermès, without losing its urban modernity. A joy.

I freakin' LOVE THIS FRAGRANCE! Yeah, it does have a very "strange" herbacous opening, smells like some type of sticky, unwanted of weed I've pulled out of the garden, which doesn't necessarily smell all that good, but I happen to really enjoy the way that smell has been intruduced in H24 edp. That strange opening which does actually smell slightly of "banana leaves" follows into the mid and transitions into a freakin' GORGEOUS floral/herbacous masculine fragrance. Its very unique and Im REALLY diggin' it! Absolutely signature scent worthy and worth "gate keeping", good performance especially when compared to the og edt which I've tried and has poor to moderate performance. I give this a well deserved 8.5 outta 10 with points for originality, and may just go up to a 9 with more wearings! I love a fragrance house which takes chances with notes some people may find "Off Putting" and therefore earn the sometimes unwanted label of a "devisive fragrance". Just superb really. A real love for me!

Finally something truly original. This is the kind of sent that is actually memorable. Between the first time that I smelled it in store and the time that I purchased it, many months went by and during all that time I remembered exactly how it smelled. That doesn't happen often with most wildly spread fragrances that I test, regardless of how pleasant their scent is. The name is both suiting and unfitting. On one hand I totally understand it because it's the kind of scent that can be worn on every occasion, professional, romantic, social, home, it doesn't matter. H24 EdP would fit all of them. However, in my personal situation, I cannot use it everyday because I am addicted to this scent and get overwhelmed by it. I indulge sparsely and I always get trapped for a while. Lastly, there's a very pleasant bananaesque vibe that always gets me hyped but no one around me seems to pick it up.

This pops! I didn't expect all that is packed in, and I love how it just keeps evolving as I wear it. I'm in a tropical place, so having something than can stay reasonably, softly present in intense humidity and heat is always a challenge. What I like most about this fragrance is that it delivers on a sense of things already around me in my every day life... and in a very good way. Their are tropical scents, vegetal, some earthy... the overall feel is warming, but not overpowering. This one surprised me... in a very good way. This isn't something I'd wear for business, my lazy go to for biz is Creed Silver Mountain Water. H24 is by far richer, but not as heavy as some evening colognes... again, great for people who live in a tropical setting. Net... I actually thought I'd toss this to the side in favor of my Creed and Tom Ford colognes, but it has a new place in my heart...

I LOVE THIS! Being from New Orleans, Louisiana, it gets EXTREMELY hot, all the time in the summer! So it's nice to have a cologne that is appropriate for the temperature. This is actually a very strong but soft scent, at least on my skin. I get a lot of wear out of the EDP version vs the EDT. I found the EDT to have a lighter, but a weird 'banana-ish' quality to my nose that was a little off-putting. The parfum version doesn't have that, but does have stronger notes of oakmoss, a green quality, and a juicy note that is actually surprising - something like green apple? I can't say enough good things about this. I always used to wear Terre D'Hermes as my go-to scent but this is a fabulous deviation. 10/10. Would absolutely wear as an option every summer. It's still decent to wear when it's cold outside! Lasts a long time and strong sillage.

I was really surprised with how much I enjoyed this. I sprayed it on myself in a department store on a whim. It smells quite unique. I am not usually a big fan of more “summer” frags... for instance I don’t really go for citrusy smells. H24 Parfum is perfect in this regard. It’s herbal... green... mossy... and dare I say even a little ‘bitter’ smelling. But still very much a spring/summer scent. Towards the end of its life (and it does last all day!) it settles into sort of a green melon type scent. This is also by far the best out of the H24 range. Despite its uniqueness and strength, I do think that this is a very versatile scent and perfectly acceptable for office wear. It does lean more mature, for context I am a man in my 30s. I have ended up buying a bottle and I think this will be what I mainline over the warmer summer months.

Sharp mossy opening that is wonderful. Earthy with a touch of leather. Not dirty. Nicely bitter (on the edge of sour but doesn’t cross over.) Despite this, not heavy at all. Herbaceous and herbal but remains clean and fresh. This settles after a couple of hours. It is a very tame oakmoss fragrance, but if that (earthy and slightly bitter musky) note doesn’t appeal to you this may well not be your fragrance. The balance is a nice floral and woody scent, fougere like but not powdery and with a bit more weight. Decent silage for first 3-4 hours with occasional intimate wafts thereafter. Total length on my skin 6-8+ hours. I’d love a bit more performance. A nice summer scent. Very wearable but also more unique and complex than the “typical” oceanic or lighter summer fragrance. I don’t get any of the banana notes oft described below.

Disclaimer: I am an absolute beginner, I have ordered samples of this, MFK Gentle Fluidity Silver, Kenzo Homme EDP, Armani ADG Profondo EDP, Issey Miyake Le Sel D'Issey EDT and EDP, and also Prada L'Homme. As a daily driver, between these 7 fragrances, this one absolutely takes the cake. There's a liveliness and brightness in this that I haven't found in the others I've ordered, it is probably my fault for thinking I was more into marines than I really am. But this one is unique and I think it's really beautiful, super pleasant, very unique, but still gentle. Definitely not a generic male scent profile. Not very traditionally "manly" imo, and that characteristic for fits what I want on myself. Pretty much all I've personally looked for and what I feel fits me very well. Wanna smell this on me all the time

One of the cleanest smells i've ever encountered. Earthy, fresh, alive, but at the same time comes with the dark vibes. There is so much for the nose to comprehend from the first smell that it's nowhere near a blind buy for the fragrance community. Both EDP and Herbes Vives have been on my watchlist for a long time. I love the opening, the unfolding and the drydown, even the scent it leaves after wearing. Not planning to leave a deep detailed review yet, until i grab a 175ml bottle of this masculine, daring masterpiece. Just waiting for some of frags to finish in my collection so that this one becomes one of my signature scents. Performance is a 8/10 for me with moderate to strong sillage first 3 hours that changes into arm-length the next 4.5 hours. Ideal for formal ocassions to stand out.

Smells like unripe bananas sat next to an ironing board in use. Based on that verbiage you'd probably think that this smells bad, but I would put this up next to Grey Vetiver as one of the best professional setting fragrances out there. It is such a great blend that I don't think words do it justice. Just the right amount of moss, a perfect amount of metallics, and a soft fresh/spicy note to calm the herbaceousness. Good projection, decent sillage, about 6-8 hours longevity on skin, don't know about clothing. Hermes has been killing it recently and honestly, I can say without a shadow of a doubt that they are my new favorite designer house. Can't wait to see what they put out next and that is saying something considering how much I've tuned out of the designer-sphere.

insanely comforting blend of notes that individually are already powerfully relaxing to me. turns quite sweet with my skin chemistry, which heightens the unique effect of the perfume. after the dry down the sclarene comes through in a warm steamy way i have never experienced in any other scent, wish it carried through to the base notes. insane longevity on the base notes, while the top notes are pretty much gone after 6 hours, the base notes hold well over 12 hours. edp has significantly less of the green banana opening than the edt, which is essentially an entirely different perfume than the edp. beautiful simplistic composition. definitely a dumb reach, will take me a long time to find a scent to beat this as my daily driver. a true unisex fougère.

Very unique scent. Took a while to “get” it. But now I’m obsessed JUICY sage opening that’s sweet without being sugary. The dry down keeps that sweetness but the sage and juiciness have calmed down a bit. “Moss” takes over, though it reads more as a chypre adjacent greenness. The wood hanging in the background is faint but slowly becomes more discernible. There’s something almost tropical-fruity about this. That’s the impression I keep getting more than the mossy, woody, earthy neo-fougère this is sold as. But I hate fruity perfume and I don’t hate this. Performance is insane. One spray is enough. I smelled this in the wild at a show in the LES last weekend. Worn by the sexiest guy in the room. Oh and I don’t get banana. at all!

got a mini of this as a gift a few years ago and i was obsessed, finally but the bullet and got the full size. what a beautiful scent! the only way i can describe it is as eco-brutalism. a little industrial, very herbal and woody with just enough florals to lighten it but not feel too feminine (as someone more androgynous, i really appreciate this). its strong without being too overpowering or headache-inducing. lasts a good while and has decent sillage. i find it works in all seasons for me... in the fall and winter i especially love spraying a little on my jackets. a scent i would suggest people try for themselves just because i find it to be so interesting and lovely :)

I see this described as a “love or hate” fragrance. Well put me in the “love” category. Every time I wear this particular fragrance I get people telling me they really like it and want to know what it is. I love how unique this is and even though it’s nice sometimes to reach for the fragrances that appeal to the masses, sometimes I want to be different and stand out from the crowd and that’s when H24 becomes my go to. If other people want to buy it because they love it then they’ve made a great choice. If other people avoid it because it’s not what the “influencers” are telling them to wear then that’s fine too. I’ll just be happy to be basking in my individuality.

Got a 2ml sample -- literally smells like being in a mossy garden after it's rained. It's a fresh, modern, earthy but clean fougere with a hint of sweetness. It projects pretty strongly and will last from the moment you wake up until you go to sleep at night. Made for spring and vice versa, works well in summer too. Edit: available on Amazon as 100ml for 60 bucks?? That's pretty damn good value, especially considering this fragrance's strength, meaning you won't need as many sprays, meaning that bottle will last a good while. BUT, I do recommend sampling first unless you know you'll like this scent profile on yourself or whoever you're buying for.

This is one of my favorite purchases. It is so nostalgic for me, it reminds me of the melon-cucumber fragrances from Bath and Body works in the early 2000's. The fragrance is insanely cool, almost addictive how refreshing it is- while having zero mint note. The dry-down on the skin can get quite herbaceous, similar to that of grass that has been freshly cut, but has laid out in the sun for a few hours. I have found spraying this on my skin AND CLOTHING, greatly increases the performance. My clothing seems to hold the "ghostly" cool top notes much better, while the deeper, more herbaceous, masculine scents melt off of my skin.

The most underrated fragrance in this community ! This is an outstanding niche quality perfume with great performance. I can't understand how and y the ppl here feel about it! From the first use I loved it and received 3 compliments form 3 coworkers!! Every one is asking me what I'm wearing!! This something creative unique and very fresh that should be the new blue in the market. This how real clean and professional gentlemen should wear in hot weather or to the office. I don't want to waste too many words to state what others have already laid out perfectly regarding scent profile, sillage, and longevity, I just want to add that this is fantastic. The first fragrance in a very long time that I've bought twice in a row. This is exactly what Eau Sauvage Parfum should have been: a manly, deep yet fresh scent that is utterly modern and timeless at the same time. To me, this is an absolute triumph for Hermes, and literally the best non-niche perfume out there at the moment, even better than Bleu Electrique. I could hardly wait for spring to arrive to start using it again.

as some people have misread and disagreed with my comment in the meantime: it's sweet On Me. me, someone who can't wear anything with even a hint of sweetness because my skin chemistry blows it out of proportion to a nauseating degree. i'm glad you can't relate. but that means non sweet notes like sage and incense lean sweet on me. we're not in disagreement we're different people who have different bodily scents and olfactory systems. i hope people with similar predicaments to mine get to find fragrances they can wear through reviews they find relatable

I LOVE THIS !! it smells unique and comforting like a smoothie place that smells of crushed green leaves and fruits and also the damp moist smell of an orchid garden or the tropical plant exhibiton or greenhouse of the kew gardens. it is extremely fresh and cooling but also damp and has a green and floral aura to it as if you went to a park before the snowy season starts and brush up against moss in an oak tree and smell daffodils growing nearby. Super fresh fruity and floral but also clean and somewhat reminiscent of a fresh linen shirt.

For me there are 3 perfumes Fahrenheit , Ganymade and H24 that when i first smell them i was like what is this ? I wasnt ready for them and honestly because of my smell memories i was , omg no way ... Then time pass and something happen i wanted it to try them again and again and again . Now i know that is really hard to make something unique because of this it needs quality and time to like understand them , thats why everyone want an Aventus clone because its easy to like them . In my opinion this one will last in time .

Bu parfüme çok üzülüyorum bana kalırsa aşırı underrated bir parfüm. Koku sizi diğer parfümler gibi dıştan cezbetmek yerine içinizi ısıtan hatta sizi eskilere götüren size sarılan bir parfüm. Kokladığım en safe hissettiren parfüm. Bunu sıkan bir adamdan zarar gelmesi imkansız. Parfümdeki notalara aldanmayın çünkü bu koku sizi hisleri yaşatan bir koku. Aynı sıcak buharlarla ütülenen bir takım elbise kokusu ve yanında hafif bir muz tatlılığı var. Koku güzelliği 9/10. Performans olarak ise yayılım orta kalıcılık 5-6 saat.

A slightly synthetic sourness in the opening, but a warm mossy character through and through. Warm, but not ambery, so it's a great option for most seasons although might not be a summer choice. Doesn't smell like dirt, or damp woods in case people have apprehensions about mossy fragrances. It's not a super aggressive fragrance, but definitely unique when compared to many other designer fragrances. It's very smooth, and doesn't have any spice to it at all. Generally office-safe, at least worth sampling.

Its very interesting, the haters in here are silly, yes the EDT had something missing and I gurss some of the hate is coming from that still, but it has been fixed here. Its 10 x better, and I registered just to tell that this is a pretty decent release by Hermès. Good longevity and sillage on me. Not every release has to be sugary sweet, I love when perfumers try something new. The rating should be above 4 on this one, at least for me, im closer to 4.3. Fits my style, elegant, uplifting.

Compared to the Herbes Vives, no perpetual mint or "fruity" notes, but the synthetic green vibe is here. It feels a bit rounded and approachable than the flanker, which imho makes this a bit more versatile. Very clean and uncanny almost with a green essence. The moss is not challenging whatsoever. Surprised people feel this is a dark fragrance, I think its too airy and bright for that personally - especially compared to stuff like Encre Niore or Timbuktu- but thats just me.

Love at first sniff In short, an ultra refreshing mossy green mojito!! Extremely professional moderate projection with good longevity (you won’t have to reapply in the middle of the day). A single sniff makes me feel as if I just finished bathing in a waterfall in the middle of a forest and now I’m walking on the mossy forest floor towards my futuristic house in a solarpunk city. This is definitely gonna be my signature scent and likewise want it to stay underrated

I owe this a more in depth review given how often I've been reaching for this lately. That juicy, super fresh, metallic, green opening is so pleasant. The floral aspects and woodiness then come in to make this a damn enjoyable wear. I get surprised by how often this is called synthetic. If you dig your nose to it then yes somewhat but the wearing experience really doesnt come across as that, out in the air it smells like you've bathed in luxurious floral green soap

Clean and fresh, smells great and green. I work at a restaurant, so I spray it twice on the chest and even after 6 hour shifts where I walk and sweat a lot, I can still smell it. Pretty honest price, I paid 150 cad(100ml) at the Toronto Duty Free, and it's about 200 cad ish(after tax) at the Shoppers Drug Mart for example. Great value for 100ml where you can get great projection and sillage, I do spray it on my t-shirt, so I can definitely smell it after a while.

One of two or three perfumes, got my second bottle. Just great. Very versitale, classy and simple perfume. Green, mossy, fresh, just great. Good blind buy if someone ask. Great atomizer similar to nishane, not presurized, but good. Used them in summer, performing great. Now using in autum, still performing great. Projection for 2 hours. Lasting 6-7 hours. If you can and you want, this must have in collection + bonus for refilable bottle and bottle design

I am intriqued by this one. I get this green papaya/ banana (or whatever upriped green fruit that is) that’s slight sweet at first. It doesn’t smell like a salad but maybe imagine walking into a luxury vegan juice shop (whatever that means to you). Just sweet enough to wear without being so heavy. Then it dries down into something masculine and yet soft and mellow. It’s very different from anything I’ve tried.

I always respect Houses like Hermes that have great History , when i first smell H24 i was ... what ??? Then i understand that this is a creation and not a Copy, Clone, that most Modern New Houses without History do, for example the amazing Xerjoff Naxos is a better copy , PDM Layton is also a great copy of something else. So we like it or not , we have to accept that they make something unique .

Very impressed with this. Designer risk-taking and something different. Good for an Oakmoss fix. At first I thought I didn't like it but have been drawn to it and using it as an everyday ever since. Classy and versatile. Has great strength and longevity. The Oakmoss stays prominent as it dries down revealing it's other notes, which are metallic and synthetic but overall still very green.

Idk why, but this reminds me of Burlington 1819 by Roja—maybe it’s the oakmoss note. I know no one mentioned that in the comments, so I might be wrong. Anyway, I tried it many times and didn’t like it at first, but the last time I wore it, I felt like this could actually be a very interesting fragrance, especially because the sillage was really nice. I might pull the trigger on it soon.

This is a warmer and more vegetal take on the original, sweeter too. The oakmoss feels slightly damp, like sweet freshly turned earth. Gets lighter and more aromatic as it develops on the skin, airier too. Wears less metallic to me than the original. Perfect for warm weather, you can definitely get away with this during hot summer days. Projects strongly, leaves a trail.

Green and sweet. Imagine a green room with growing vegetables, condensed water in the air next to rusty gardening scissors. Very unique, musky vegetation, with hints of gummy bears. Personally one of my favourite summer fragrances. More of a casual wear to show individuality - not really for formal because it feels a bit unserious. 9/10 - Casual summer wear.

Pleasantly surprised to see a designer brand like Hermes pushing the boundaries. This is a scent I would expect from a top tier niche perfumery, not a designer brand. It’s a botanical garden encapsulated in a bottle. To my nose, It's exceptionally well-blended, sophisticated, elegant and makes for a perfect unique summer scent. I give it a 10 out of 10.

Like other people have already said. At first I hated it, the green herby smell was overbearing and just smelt odd to me. Fast forward a couple months and I gave it another shot and instantly bought a full bottle. It's highly versatile and it's one of the few fragrances that just puts me in a good mood. Don't let your first impressions fool you!

I really like H24 EdP: it's unapologetically green and juicy, a bitter fresh scent that feels perfect for a hot day when even citrus, let alone floral or fruity notes can feel cloying. However, my wife violently hates it. Maybe it's the synthetic oakmoss note, maybe it's sclarene, but something in H24 EdP triggers her revulsion.
