Hermessence Rose Ikebana

I am generally a big fan of Elena (especially his greens), his fragrances are masterful, pleasurable, and this one especially shows what I think is one of his best abilities-- to blend very recognize-able notes in a way that balances them, produces something alltogether new, and maintains a kind of clarity and sense of control. I would never read this as ROSE at any point of the wear. In fact I am mostly so entranced by the kind of swirling zing of the other notes that encircle the rose that it becomes kind of secondary. Even before it disappears and the rose is most prominent it still shares the stage with the other ingredients— again, masterful, controlled. Control is interesting because it doesnt mean it feels uptight or strangled or forced, but rather its mastered- its balanced- so that nothing feels muddled or confused- and each note has space to be as ripe or wild or sharp or delicious as it has potential to be. The overall effect of this bright, citrusy, sweet-tea-infused fragrance is almost gourmand (but I love rose and rose tea and never read it as old or grandmother-y and I know many people have this reaction). On my skin it doesn't change a ton on dry down - which is great as I love the scent both on application and dry down. Its something I have worn to work because its so light and fresh, with minimal sillage. Like most Hermessence the term "diaphanous" applies here and the performance is rather short and fleeting. Sometimes I mix this in with other complimentary scents (although it does feel like a bit of a corruption... Im all for experimentation with layering) which have better longevity and enjoy this initial phase and then let it subtly color its partner for the rest of the wear. But sometimes the ephemerality is the beauty of it... it's delicious and bright and then this ghost of a tea-citrus rose for personal enjoyment that you can zap back into existence with a spritz or let fade away. Rose Ikebana, I love you too.

Hermessence Rose Ikebana is much more than just a rose perfume; it is a lesson in olfactory minimalism signed by the great master Jean-Claude Ellena. The art of removing: The name recalls Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging. As in a Japanese bouquet, where every stem and every void has a meaning, this fragrance does not seek baroque opulence, but transparency. It is a rose stripped of its heavy, dusty or too sweet aspects. Despite being classified as Woody Spicy, the fragrance behaves on the skin like a lively and luminous watercolor. The first spray is an explosion of freshness. The grapefruit note is masterful: bitter, sparkling and realistic. You immediately perceive a sensation of "clean" and morning dew. The rose emerges not as a cut and withered flower, but as a bud still on the plant, wet from the rain. It is accompanied by a note of rhubarb which adds a tart and crunchy facet, making the composition modern and vibrant. At the bottom the fragrance warms up slightly. The spicy and woody notes are hinted at, almost imperceptible, they only serve to give structure and a very slight musky persistence on the skin. Ellena's touch: You can feel her "watercolor" signature. Don't expect a kilometre-long trail; expect a perfume that blends with the skin, giving a feeling of aristocratic freshness for a few hours.

Rose Ikebana (Store test, Central Lardpao) I buy my grocery today. Can’t resist to test out something, this time I tried Rose Ikebana. It is a great rose fragrance as it should be. Done to perfection from Elena.. It has spicy edge, right amount of fruity to create a beautiful rose, during the opening, I think of another fragrance “Eau Rose (edp)” by Diptyque. But this more dew, youth side. Scent develop as rose fragrance should be, muskier over time. Somewhat it is substantial than its catalog. Spicy with very mild fruity rose support. In the far end, the scent reduces to Rhubarb and something reminds me of green vetiver, might be Cassis. Very soft and clean the musk is not strong beautiful rose and musk. I can’t perceive another strong nose apart from Rose, Spicy, Green and Fruity. The rest of the note are dial back to support the floral. I don’t want to say this.. as each fragrance has it beauty of its own but as of current market they was an other option that can be replaced this watercolor drawing of rose fragrance. To name a few; Rose de Mai (from JCE), Rose de Taif or Eau Rose. I can say Rose Ikebana is beautiful of them all but.. consider the price, I might just can’t recommend. I believe Rose Ikebana is a blueprint to other modern rose fragrance, it is really help develop late perfumer like usage of Rhubarb in Delina, airy stucture of freen rose but it can’t hold an icon as the market now fill with something similar. I truly appreciate this but it lacks uniqueness to define this current price in the market. I will definitely buy as collector, if I ever come across the great deal.

I never knew I liked rose scents until I tried this one. It's a delightful fruity-citrus-rose elixir that tickles my nose (in a good way), with the rose note being fresh roses straight from the florist's refrigerator. The longevity is okay, I can still smell it on my skin after a day at work. I have read that some compare this scent to In Love Again by YSL (also created by JCE) and Babydoll by YSL. But make no mistake, while they resemble one another, this scent is far and away superior in terms of sheer beauty and complexity. Interestingly, the sales assistant in the Hermes boutique told me that Jean-Claude Ellena was given artistic license to use whatever raw materials he wanted for the Hermessence series, and that he spared no cost. She explained that he considers the Hermessence line his "babies" because he wasn't as constricted artistically as to how the perfumes should smell. Not sure how accurate this is, but it may help explain the high price per bottle.

I can never get enough of good rose scents, and Rose Ikebana, as can be expected from Hermès(sense), is really wonderful: a light, fresh, fruity rose that's still sophisticated and well-balanced and never gets boring. All through the development, a wonderfully airy rose takes the main spotlight. In the opening it is deliciously fruity, with lots of rhubarb and citrus, subtly tart but not at all sharp, very refreshing. A little later on, as the sweet tea accord becomes more prominent, it gets a little more powdery, which is lovely as well. And it never gets to be too much or overwhelming. It's just a very happy kind of fragrance, a real joy to wear at any time of year (except maybe in the kind of heat wave we are currently suffering). I already have so many great rose scents in my (decant) wardrobe, but it seems I'm going to have to start saving up for another one...In Rose Ikebana, I think I've found my perfect light and fruity rose.

BLUF: A wonder of a fragrance! A rose fragrance a man can pull of! One of my Top 5 fragrances in my collection. I discovered this fragrance on my own many years ago at an Hermes boutique in Waikiki. Blew away my mind when I smelled it. I hadn’t had any rose fragrances up to that point, and thought they were mostly for women, but not this. This was amazing. It was expensive but I didn’t care. I’m on my second bottle today. Since discovering Fragrantica and frag heads on YouTube, I’ve been looking for a clone or something close to this but I don’t think there’s anything like it. Maybe it’s my inexperience talking. I purchased L’erbolario Rhubarb which does remind me of the note in Rose Ikebana but it’s missing the rest of the magic. Anyways, gorgeous scent, but has moderate longevity and projection on me.

Acting as perfect companions to the central floral accord, tea and rhubarb notes lend a fresh crispness. As one would expect, this fragrance leans feminine in its essence. Overall, it feels like a stunning tribute to a flower which has inspired us for centuries. For you lovers of rose in parfums, this seems like the Holy Grail. (101)

It opens with sharp cassia, citrus pith, and rhubarb. For the first 10-15 minutes it feels like a blade — bright, green, and borderline abrasive. Once the edge drops, the perfume rearranges itself into something far more refined: a cool rose framed by citrus light, crisp rhubarb, and transparent tea. The rose here isn’t romantic or dewy; it’s an outline, a gesture, almost weightless. The tea note gives the whole composition a calm, mineral clarity, and the rhubarb keeps it modern rather than sweet. As it settles, Rose Ikebana becomes quietly elegant — airy, structured, and sophisticated without trying to be pretty. I admire the restraint used here. I have tried two other citrus‐rose‐tea perfumes, and this is the most polished to my nose.

This would be a signature scent for me if it had any longevity. I bought this very expensive EDT last month after falling in love with it immediately, and unfortunately I am already halfway through the bottle...I have to douse myself in this fragrance to even get the faintest hint of it later on, and even then, it's barely noticeable. I asked several people (after spraying throughout the day) if they could smell it on me, and I only got "yeah kind of" when they stuck their noses directly on my sleeve. The most beautiful juicy rose I could hope for is but a faint memory almost immediately. I am probably going to buy YSL In Love Again after reading that it's so similar, and hopefully that one has some staying power.

I think Rose Ikebana is probably the easiest and most broadly appealing fragrance in the Hermessence line. It's fresh, crisp, inviting, and lovable. The accords listed on this page are also accurate, so do note that green is at the top; anyone fearful of a rosey-rose scent can take heart - this is much brighter and leans into the rhubarb. I am generally a more woodsy/resinous floral kind of guy, but Rose Ikebana is faultless and I do wear it sometimes, even though it's not precisely "me". For anyone who doesn't know the Hermessence line and hasn't smelled any, I would recommend trying this one first.

This is a beautiful scent. Rosy, but in a very complicated way. Off-limits for underage girls. We first met when I was at the airport and looking for a gift for a lady. I almost missed my flight when I decided to run back to the store to buy another bottle for myself! I don't like the word "unisex" and find this a very feminine scent, but then break the rules by wearing it too. Maybe we should not call this a perfume, but instead think of it as a French countryside garden blossoming with Old Roses, captured in a bottle.

This is so nice! But it’s not just nice, it’s verrrry nice. As in: interesting, alluring and not boring. I love rose as a note, it brings me so much joy and though there are many many frags out there that focus on rose, few really and truly stand out to me. Enters Rose Ikebana with its rose that is green but not overly so, fresh but not watery, spicy but without the thorn, vibrant and unique without being obnoxious. I love it. It’s an exercise in restraint done in a masterful way, thanks to Jean-Claude Ellena 🌹🌿 🍵 🌶️ ☁️

Jean-Claude Ellena NEVER fails to disappoint me! I received Rose Ikebana as a sample from Hermés along w/ Eau de Mervailles (sp?). The price is way up there but WOW... I would possibly sell my soul for a bottle of this! lol. No joke. It rose, citrus and cream all at once. I get a full cream tea service in a Cornish seaside town replete w/ fishing boats and a beautiful stone terrace overlooking the blue sea, sun shining... light filtering thru the glassware on my table. Total teleportation to another time and place...

I've used several samples of this - I like it but I'd never buy a bottle. It's definitely a Ellena and the comparisons to Kelly Caleche are entirely apt. A beautiful bloomed rose in the garden of a big white house with a terrace on which to drink tea and read a book. Hermes has a way of making you feel richer than you may actually be. Not everyone wants to be a character in a late 19th century novel about rich people having rich people problems, but Rose Ikebana feels a bit like it and I'm living for the drama.

I adore this and I'm so happy to have a bottle. I did get a great deal on it at mercari so I probably wouldn't have forked over $300 but for $200 which was still a lot I know I was willing. Anyway I am one of those people who has a hard time with Delina. So this to me is Delina minus the part I don't like and it's all rose and juicy rhubarb. For me the lasting power is not as bad as people are saying. I can't wait to keep rocking this all summer.

This one though.... It’s such an evocative scent, so fresh and soft. The tea and fresh roses are the most prominent to my nose, green and bringing to mind the feeling of a rose garden after it rains. Whenever I wear it it feels like fresh air. It ages well on my skin, and unlike a lot of people, it lasts too. I get three hours of projection at least. Not the best if you’re sweating a lot though, as the green notes might become irritating.

This is my favorite rose perfume. To me rose scents can unfortunately smell cheap easily, this one doesn't. It's a relatively light and not overwhelming perfume. I usually wear this during the day in the warmer months. I've not gotten any feedback from strangers. However both my brother and my dad who easily get headaches from perfumes and don't really comment on people's scent unless it's unpleasant have complimented me on this one.

Thrilling zing of rhubarb up top, watercolour rose and fresh tea. It's so pretty and delicate. Rose is a love/hate note for me and I love this one. It's so light and fresh, shimmering around you. It's crisp and gently sweet. Elegant but with a youthful cheerfulness. Definitely discreet sillage but it's reasonably long-lasting. And yes, it's stupidly expensive, but god it's so lovely!

This is my favourite rose perfume, because of the fruity and crisp first notes. I have a sample pre-reformulation (around 2012) and I regret having not purchased it back then. In the new version (2015) the notes are a lot less sharp, more powdery, now the similarity with Kelly Calèche is obvious. I still love it, but wish they had kept the vibrant and sparkling fruity notes.

The dry down on this is impeccable, i don't know if its just my skin chemistry but i am getting addicted to it the more i sniff my wrist. Its a musky fruity dry-down but not in a sweet syrupy way more of a tangy tart way! I must have for my collection. Don't be fooled by the opening, this is not a linear fragrance, give it sometime. I could wear this all season tbh..

Pretty simple rose and rhubarb, jo malone style. Or the hermes rhubarbe cologne with more class ♡ The rose comes off shampoo-ey and the rhubarb is tart hot climates love the hermessence collection There are similarities to delina and the rosé flanker but I like rose ikebana alot more. This is the first rose forward fragrance ive actually wanted to throw money at

my signature scent <3 i just love her and so many of the hermes maison perfumes, they so accurate and non-synthetic. i would say theyre crazy overpriced, but ive had the same 100ml perfume i spray 3 times biweekly, for the past 5+ years so its not that bad im starting to crave more rosy perfumes recently, but this one is too green so im not wearing it as often

Rose and spices are so well balanced I can't stop sniffing my wrist. Sillage is wonderful, everything is just perfect for me. And no similarities to Kelly Caleche as I see mentioned here. This is soft fresh scent of roses like a dew in the morning could be if it had a smell. I think I'm in love. Besides, I dislike cassia note, but it fits here so well.

The opening unfolds as a spicy citrus tea accord. Gradually, rose comes to the surface, carrying green leafy nuances and a soft powdery texture. The initial hint of spice merges with the rose, giving rise to a distinctive rose character. This spicy, powder-tinged rose accord is something I find irresistibly appealing

transparent but very much present, in a nonchalant way. i guess this is the intention of the perfumer. its one of the best rose fragrance ive smelt. well deserved a place in hermes exclusive line

This is one of my favorite perfumes. I agree with most of the reviews below. It's very fresh. The name fits well. It's a very simple and minimalist rose scent with heavy citrus note.

Similar to "CK All" because of rhubarb with the addition of rose petals. Extremely pleasant and likeable. Can't imagine offending anyone with this.

All showered and cuddled up in bed with this fragrance. I’m loving every drop of it. Forget the negative reviews and get this in your collection.

Rose Ikebana is a transparent, complex, and exquisite rose fragrance. Subtle and very tastefully done. This is what I wanted JM Red Roses to be.

I’m selling a brand new travel size (15ml).

From vial not particularly rosy, but very bright citrus especially bergamot or perhaps a bergamot tea, and a pink grapefruit? Even wet and when first dry no rose, but delectably fresh citrus blend, some lime, hint of spice. There is a greenness, likely the cassia leaf that has a green and ammonia profile reportedly cat piss-adjacent. The aromatic greenery is there, possibly some ammonia and as I’ve mentioned in other fragrances where people insist upon a cat piss presence, if it’s there, it isn’t the assault one might imagine. It’s as if cat piss had a gentler prettier sister, and here you really have to reach for it at that. After about 20 min, lemon has come to the fore but the tea, bergamot, spice and greenery are just there behind it, still part of its shape. One hour in, it's still the same fragrance but has taken on a very dry quality. Two hrs 20 min, it's still there, just wearing close to skin, but not yet a skin scent. I’ve always been interested in this fragrance as a different take on rose, but I’ve got to be honest, ain’t gettin any rose here. I last visited this 10 years ago and mentioned the word “rose” in my notes, but nothing else. What my notes do speak of are its citruses, vitality, effervescence, brightness, its sun. Rose or no rose, it’s a remarkable scent. I adore the complete absence of sweetness. And as someone who tends to avoid citrus scents as as rule (too many, too soapy, what can possibly be done that hasn’t?) I quite enjoy this and recommend it. I recommend it exclusively for summer, days or nights. A terrific and unique citrus. 8/10

Rose Ikebana is a superb piece of perfumery by the maestro Jean-Claude Ellena. It's a gentle, subtle, refined piece of perfumery and well named after the art of Ikebana. I get around a total of nine hours for this on a regular basis. It opens with moderate projection of rose and rhubarb with tea, citrus notes, musk and something almost like a whiff of cigarette smoke through the air in the background. There's something of an olfactory reminder of Hermessence Vanille Galante in that whiff of cigarette smoke through the air. But just like the aforementioned effect, it blows away quickly. Some 45 minutes in the projection has toned down to a more intimate level. The perfume has changed a little from the opening to be a combination of rose, tea, fruity and citrus notes. Two hours in and the perfume is a faint rose along with a fresh sweetness. Very much the rose and fruit in the garden effect. Marvellous. It stays this way and gradually starts to fade another three hours later until it vanishes into the breeze. £193 for 100 ml is rather pricey by any standards but it is a superb piece of perfumery. I don't feel it has a gender to it - I think it's genuinely unisex. For those people who like to spend plenty of money on their perfumes and go giddy over some of the usual niche suspects, this is a far more exclusive option for those with exquisite taste. I'll be back for another bottle when finances permit and shelf space allow.

I'm a woman who has never felt dressed without a fragrance on. Unfortunately, I have metastatic cancer and cannot wear scents to my regular chemo appointment for fear of upsetting the sensitive stomachs of other patients. So when I come home, I finish getting dressed, and I typically put on a soft and gentle but favorite perfume as a treat. But, sometimes my stomach is tender too, so no white flowers or 80s big shouldered sillage on this day. No strong jasmine or dirty civit, no tobacco or sharp cedar. I need sophisticated yet simple. Rose Ikebana is an excellent choice. It's a soft fragrance. Not particularly rosey to my nose; although the queen of flowers is there it is not as obvious as in Stella or Paul Smith or other rose perfumes. The top is a sparkle of fruit, rose and musk. All of the activity is at the start. As it dries down, the bright tickle of fruits disappear and only the musk and rose remain, soft on my stomach and yet a gentle floral treat to my nose. It's doesn't morph or display new notes, at this point it's almost like the ghost of a rose incense, or a walk through a rose garden on a foggy day. The important thing is that it takes me away. I smell beautiful, not medicinal. It's not offensive in any way: not too sweet, not too flowery, not too musky, not artificial, not immature or cheap. It's a lovely balance of simplicity that leaves me feeling fully dressed, fully healed, and happy to be here.

The citrus is strong and juicy in the opening moments of Rose Ikebana, giving this fragrance an intensive yet refreshing feel. The rose starts off dewy and mild in the beginning, taking a back seat to the orange and lemon. A few minutes in, the rose becomes more prominent and the spices start to heat up. As it wears, it becomes drier, spicier and muskier. The tea note is never especially strong, but it’s there enough to give this fragrance a sense of freshness amidst the dry spices. Although the rose is ever-present, the citrus, spices and musk are just as strong. This is not a rose soliflore with hints of spice and citrus. In fact, the further it dries down, the more this becomes about the sweet citrus and warm spices...the woody-spicy classification does not surprise me. The cassis adds a satisfying tartness, playing up the earthy facets of the rose. I find Rose Ikebana somehow both animalic and clean. This lasts very well on my skin, and has fairly good sillage. The exotic combination of citrus, spices, and rose is what I had imagined The Body Shop Moroccan Rose would have smelled like had it been much higher-end and better executed. Undoubtedly a unique rose scent. I don’t think I would spend the hefty $ on a full bottle of this stuff, but I do think it’s a wonderful fragrance. For me it comes in second to Ambre Narguile in the Hermessence series.

Rose Ikebana, a haiku in the form of mist. A transparent slip of a fragrance weightless as silk in breeze, and just as evasive. It doesn’t shout rose; it barely even speaks. It hums. The rose here is special, true to the words of my SA. Dewy, tea-soaked, unfurled in early light, it never is jammy, never is red. More like a whisper of blush on porcelain skin. Petals still cool from dawn. Think rosa damascena, stripped down to its palest essence, cradled not in sugar but in watery light. Then comes rhubarb, oh yes. This tart green snap. Unexpected, like biting into a chilled stalk and realizing how alive it tastes. It cuts the floral softness with a gleam of bitter pink. A brilliant balancing act, like lacquered chopsticks suspending a single flower. Jean-Claude Ellena’s fingerprint is unmistakable here: restrained, elemental, almost ascetic. Each note is allowed to breathe, the space between them like silence between thoughts. There’s no bouquet, no theatrics. Instead, it’s ikebana, literally minimal, meditative. Rose as line, rhubarb as tension. Not loud, not complex, not world-changing, and yet somehow, really not bad becomes high praise. In a sea of syrup and smog, this is a breath of rose-laced air.

Shimmering slip dress in featherlight pink silk. A heartbreakingly lovely thing: amazingly natural, freshly-picked dewy rose from a northern garden, gossamer-sheer, never ever sickly or shouty, just a thoroughly natural and wonderful botanical aroma. Plenty of very light and gentle green notes as well as the floral side manage to evoke the entire plant, not just the flowers on it. Bear in mind I'm not even much of a rose fan, and those I do love tend to be on the dark-lush-spicy-rich side - so it's testimony to Rose Ikebana's delicate, transparent gauze of scent that I like it so much. Perhaps not unique, though, and as with many of the Hermessence range, projection and longevity are on the fragile side as well. It's all far too refined and girly for my tastes, yet it's unarguably beautiful. Swapped mine away as it needed someone who could make it happy and take it to nice places - my routine tends to require rougher, butcher stuff which performs more strongly. But if you want to seek the truest name of the rose - a scent which truly summons that evanescent, heart-tugging billow of scent from a freshly-plucked bloom still pearled with rain - then try this.

Hermès Rose Ikebana opens with watery verdancy and bitter grapefruit, which is reminiscent of Un Jardin sur le Nil and Kelly Calèche to me. The rose is very soft with a dewy tinge, and it's actually quite abstract. The overall effect is like a watercolour painting of green leaves floating over a pale pink river, tranquil and smooth. Afterwards, the fragrance doesn't evolve much, and just becomes a teeny bit spicier and more musky in the late dry down. The sillage is soft and the longevity is around 5 to 6 hours. Rose Ikebana fits perfectly the image of a dewy, delicate morning rose, and the understated elegance of Hermès fragrance style as well. However, having smelt Un Jardin sur le Nil and Kelly Calèche before Rose Ikebana, unfortunately, I find it less interesting even though its release precedes the other two. Although it's undoubtedly a very pretty fresh rose, I'd still recommend testing a few others before settling down on this one due to its relatively high price.

A silky, sparkling rose.. This fragrance has a truly beautiful smell to it. I really love Rose in all forms and this one is just exquisite! Rose Ikebana is inspired by the texture of Silk, and the Japanese art of flower arrangement (Ikebana). As usual, Jean-Claude Ellena lends his unique style to this composition by accenting the Rose note with Grapefruit citrus and tangy Rhubarb, with a light Green Tea note in the background surrounded with bright citrus throughout. In my opinion this is a Rose perfume for people who don't like Rose so much! Another thing I love about what Ellena has done here is that he has made it so light and refreshing that you don't get tired of smelling it. It is constantly fascinating and drawing you closer. A lot like his other creation "Iris Ukiyoé" (another one inspired by Japan). But whereas that one was the smell of Iris surrounded by bright citrus, this one is a sparkling Rose. Fresh and uplifting! Fantastic stuff.

I'm conflicted on this one. At once it is a masterful fragrance, but bad as a perfume (for me at least). It lacks both silage (unless they are right on top of you) and duration and comes at a hefty price. The blend itself is very nuanced but simple. I am a huge rose fanatic and even so this is a rose unlike any I have had before and that's always a thrill. It reminds me of the OLD old fashioned type of perfume before synthetics when respectable ladies wore straight-forward singular notes right out of their garden, long before the roaring 20s gave way to the mystique and complexity of musky orchestras. Reading through other reviews, I agree this is great for that type of sensitive person who isn't trying to make a statement with her perfume, or for one reason or another needs something that absolutely no one could object to. Its just incredibly hard to justify the cost when it needs to much application throughout the day.

A tea rose or maybe I should say a rose tea. The rose clearly takes the lead, surrounded by a tea with woody undertones (black tea?) and enhanced by spices that become more and more present as it dries down. The green side is however very present (green tea?) and the citrus notes bring freshness to the whole. The rhubarb leaves a slight bitterness but is not really perceptible (at least not to my nose and that's a good thing because I don't like too "sour" perfumes). In the end - and based on my perception - Rose Ikebana is a more complex perfume than it seems; green and fresh, it can evoke a garden, but also the orient with this woody and spicy rose (I see that it is categorized as "spicy woody" and that doesn't surprise me); an oriental garden? I therefore really appreciated it. It's a very pretty perfume if you like rose but once again the price is exaggerated, what a pity :(

To me it smells very much like YSL In Love Again, but... classier? Less frivolous? A bit more sophisticated, perhaps. It opens with sweet peachy rose, melts into strawberry mousse with candied rose petals and dries down to citrusy tang of champagne. For me, it is so pretty by itself it hardly needs a person wearing it, my own skin scent underneath feels almost like an unwelcome fleshy intrusion into this bubbly rosy sweetness. I think I am too selfish to wear it. Try it though, it is your ultimate champagne n' strawberries kinda scent, joie de vivre in a bottle, if you like that kinda thing.

Very clean and a little sharp to open with brisk rhubarb that's both sweet and a touch sour at the same time. Also a splash of bitter grapefruit that is perhaps white, not pink. Rose Ikebana is very delicate but strong, like an origami crane with perfectly crisp folds. The rose is beautifully fresh and dewy; velvety pink. The musk and tea notes soften this composition on the drydown, creating an aura of gentle grace. I love the minimalism of Rose Ikebana--austere beauty, perfectly arranged.

It’s a beautiful fragrance. Bright sharp rose. Green, a bit citrusy yet very sweet. I’m not in rose perfumes and can’t compare it to other rose scents. And haven’t used this perfume for years. Still have about half a bottle left. Used it a bit tonight for a dinner and was surprised how strong it is. Very prominent scent, good silage, and it has a very recognizable Hermes note to it. And I can still smell it even after a shower! It’s very feminine, maybe a bit mature.

Bliss in a bottle. A dewy rose with green nuances. The citrus in the opening gradually unfolds into something magical. This is a perfect spring and summer fragrance. It’s been a long time since I’ve smelled such a gentle rose. Imagine waking up and going for a morning walk, catching a whiff of a rose at its freshest, still touched with dew. That’s what this smells like. Balanced, inherently clean, soft; yet long-lasting.

This scent caught me at the first sniff, just first sniff only!!! Open with very 'In Love Again' scent which I really love but poor sillage. All the fruitty things gone in an hour. Creammy Rose still remains fir another hour then vanished. So dissappoint with it longative but I still buy it for 2 bottles of 15ml! If you are a fan of 'In Love Again' you may like this one. Project : 7/10 Sillage : 5/10 Longative : 5/10

Very beautiful!! This is a delicate lovely rose with citrus playing in the background. Edit: The dry down...Oh what a disappointment!! IMO the dry down becomes very typical Hermes. I bought this because the opening notes were so beautiful and I liked that it was such a departure from Hermes such as Kelly Caleche. The opening notes are so short lived. Save yourself the trouble and buy a bottle of Kelly.

This is a very pleasant spring/summer fragrance which leans to the feminine side and is fresh and green. For an EDT, this is remarkably long lasting and 4 hours in, I am surrounded by the smell of a summer's evening. I think it is expensive for an EDT and it isn't remarkable in any way, but it was a gift and I am glad to have it in my collection.
